Abstract

The objectives of this research were, (1) to develop a prototype of multimedia learning in Computer Graphics course, (2) to test the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning multimedia developed in Computer Graphics course. This research was a Research and Development (R&D) design with ADDIE model include thirty students as a sample. The procedure of this research until implementation stage. Instrument of the research was a questionnaire. Data of need analysis obtained based on the review of the exist curriculum, the characteristics of the materials and students need. The students need media that is not only in the conventional form of the file that just containing text but more than it, the media which is able to provide experience directly in the multimedia form that containing images, text, animation, and videos. The multimedia design of computer graphics learning is specifically designed from the structure, contents, menu placement, color selection, and so on to make it easier for lecturers and students. The results of this research are: (1) The results of the analysis of the data validity of the media are in the very valid category, this is obtained from the expert validation of material and media. (2) The results of the evaluation of the students' trials and the lecturers' responses to this multimedia are very practical. (3) this learning multimedia was effective as seen from the recapitulation of the pre-test and post-test learning outcomes assessment showing a significant increase in student learning scores.

Abstract

Preeclampsia remains one of the leading causes of maternal mortality globally, particularly in developing countries with limited access to antenatal care and emergency obstetric services. This study aims to synthesize scientific evidence regarding the relationship between preeclampsia and maternal mortality in Asia through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Using reputable databases such as Scopus, PubMed, and Web of Science, the study analyzed relevant articles published between 2020 and 2024. The results indicate that preeclampsia significantly contributes to maternal death through complications such as eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, and multi-organ failure. The trend of publications shows fluctuating research interest, with a peak in 2023, reflecting increased attention to maternal health post-pandemic. The majority of studies originate from the health sciences and biomedical fields, focusing on clinical interventions and pathophysiology. However, contributions from social, cultural, and policy-oriented research remain minimal, indicating a need for interdisciplinary integration. This review highlights critical risk factors such as chronic hypertension, limited prenatal care, and socio-economic disparities that exacerbate the impact of preeclampsia. It also emphasizes the importance of early detection, risk communication, and context-specific interventions in reducing maternal mortality. Ultimately, this synthesis provides a foundation for improving health policies, clinical practices, and future research directions related to preeclampsia and maternal mortality in Asia.

Abstract

This study addresses the limited integration of local wisdom in elementary science learning and its impact on students’ critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of ethnoscience-based Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in the context of traditional soil cultivation on the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. This approach responds to the need for contextualized learning that connects scientific concepts with students’ cultural experiences. The study employed a quasi-experimental approach involving an experimental group that received ethnoscience-based PjBL and a control group that received conventional instruction. Critical thinking skills were measured using an essay test administered before and after the intervention. Data were analyzed using N-Gain and ANCOVA techniques. The results indicated that students in the experimental group demonstrated a significantly higher improvement in critical thinking skills compared to those in the control group. The experimental group achieved a high N-Gain score (0.71), while the control group showed a moderate increase (0.33). Statistical analysis confirmed a significant difference between groups (p < 0.05). These findings suggest that ethnoscience-based PjBL effectively enhances elementary students’ critical thinking abilities by transforming abstract concepts into meaningful, culturally grounded problem-solving activities. The integration of traditional soil cultivation practices enables students to analyze information, evaluate evidence, and draw logical conclusions within an authentic learning context.

Abstract

Environmental cleanliness is a critical factor in the effective management of nature-based tourist destinations, as it strongly shapes tourists’ perceptions of destination quality, comfort, and overall attractiveness, as well as their intention to visit and revisit. This study aims to examine the extent to which environmental cleanliness influences tourists’ visit intention in the Harau Valley tourism area (Lembah Harau), Kanagarian Tarantang, Harau District, Lima Puluh Kota Regency. The research employed a quantitative survey method by distributing structured questionnaires to 50 tourists during their visit to Lembah Harau. The variables measured include tourists’ perceptions of environmental cleanliness, such as waste management practices, sanitation conditions, and the availability of waste disposal facilities, as well as visit intention indicators, including intention to return and willingness to recommend the destination to others. The findings highlight the importance of maintaining a clean environment to enhance tourists’ positive behavioral intentions. The implications of these findings suggest that destination managers and local government authorities should consistently enforce cleanliness policies, strengthen integrated waste management systems, and provide adequate sanitation facilities to enhance the attractiveness of Lembah Harau and support sustainable tourism development, without neglecting the need for continuous monitoring, evaluation, and improvement in these areas.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan manajemen risiko keuangan dan sistem pengendalian internal pada Koperasi Merah Putih di Desa Pasar Pedati, Kecamatan Pondok Kelapa, Kabupaten Bengkulu Tengah. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi koperasi berupa lemahnya sistem administrasi serta tingginya tingkat kredit macet. Melalui pendekatan partisipatif, kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam bentuk pelatihan interaktif, pendampingan penyusunan Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) keuangan, serta sosialisasi prinsip hukum koperasi dan tata kelola keuangan yang akuntabel. Dalam tahapan evaluasi proses, tim pengabdi tidak hanya menyampaikan materi, tetapi juga  mengamati respons dan partisipasi pengurus serta anggota koperasi. Peserta terlihat aktif berdiskusi, antusias, dan mampu memahami materi dengan baik. Pada tahapan evaluasi hasil, kegiatan ini terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman peserta terhadap pentingnya pencatatan keuangan yang tertib, prinsip kehati-hatian, serta urgensi pengendalian internal dalam mencegah kesalahan pengelolaan dana. Meskipun tanpa praktik langsung, peserta merasakan adanya wawasan baru dan mengajukan kebutuhan pelatihan lanjutan untuk implementasi SOP keuangan, pencatatan transaksi, dan mekanisme double check. Pada tahapan evaluasi dampak menunjukkan meningkatnya kesadaran kolektif pengurus akan perlunya pembenahan tata kelola koperasi. Pengurus juga menunjukkan komitmen melaksanakan kembali Rapat Anggota Tahunan (RAT) serta merevitalisasi fungsi koperasi sebagai lembaga ekonomi rakyat yang sehat dan transparan. Program ini tidak hanya memperkuat kelembagaan, tetapi juga membangun budaya akuntabilitas dan kesadaran hukum dalam pengelolaan koperasi. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berpotensi menjadi model pemberdayaan hukum koperasi yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain sebagai strategi penguatan ekonomi masyarakat berbasis prinsip keadilan sosial.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Puskesmas merupakan peranan penting dalam mencapai program Indonesia Sehat. Peningkatan pelayanan puskesmas sebagai upaya dalam meningkatkan mutu pelayanan kesehatan melalui kegiatan program promosi kesehatan erat kaitannya dengan media yang digunakan salah satuya adalah sosial media pada program promosi kesehatan. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui implementasi penggunaan sosial media di Puskesmas Kota Enrekang. Metode: Penelitian kualitatif dilakukan dengan pendekatan studi kasus, Teknik yang digunakan dalam penentuan informan dengan cara purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara mendalam. Hasil: Pada input, program promosi kesehatan menggunakan media sosial dianggap cukup efektif , pada process, pelaksanaan program promosi kesehatan terlaksana sesuai dengan perencanaannya jika dilakukan diawal tahun namun terdapat beberapa perencanaan yang sudah ditetapkan sering tidak sesuai di lapangan, dan tidak semua SDM terlibat dalam program promosi kesehatan. Pada output, program berjalan sesuai tujuan yang direncanakan tetapi belum ada indicator capaian sehingga belum bisa terlaksananya evaluasi secara optimal. Kesimpulan: Diharapkkan kepala puskesmas lebih memahami mengenai manajemen puskesmas dan koordinasi dalam menentukan suatu perencanaan serta tenaga promosi kesehatan lebih serius dalam peningkatan pelayanan promosi kesehatan terkhusus pada program berbasis sosial media.

Abstract

Kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) pada siswa sekolah dasar menjadi kompetensi krusial pada lingkup pendidikan. Hal ini dikarenakan sejumlah kegiatan pembelajaran pada tingkat sekolah dasar belum menyediakan wadah untuk siswa berpikir kritis, analitis, dan kreatif siswa. Kondisi tersebut membuktikan bahwa perkembangan HOTS tidak sebatas dipengaruhi oleh materi dan metode pembelajaran, namun turut didorong oleh kompetensi guru dalam memahami wawasan yang akan diajarkannya pada siswa di kelas. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengkaji peran guru dalam membangun HOTS siswa sekolah dasar, implementasi pendekatan epistemologi dalam pendidikan dasar, dan integrasi epistemologi dalam pengembangan HOTS. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) yang merujuk pada kerangka Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviewers and Meta Analyses (PRISMA). Terpilih sebanyak 8 artikel yang revelan dengan topik peran guru, epistemologi pembelajaran, dan HOTS. Kedelapan artikel tersebut dianalisis dengan mengidentifikasi tema berdasarkan pada indikator posisi siswa dalam proses belajar, orientasi guru terhadap sifat pengetahuan, serta bentuk interaksi pembelajaran yang menekankan dialog, refleksi, dan penalaran kritis.  Hasilnya, menunjukkan tiga tema utama yaitu: (1) guru berperan dalam membangun HOTS melalui strategi pembelajaran yang menekankan proses berpikir siswa; (2) implementasi pendekatan epistemologi sebagai dasar pengembangan HOTS di sekolah dasar melalui interpretasi  guru dalam memberikan pandangan terhadap pengetahuan sebagai sesuatu yang berhasil dibentuk dengan akal budi dan pengalaman belajar siswa; dan (3) integrasi epistemologi dalam variasi pendekatan pembelajaran melalui penerapan model inkuiri, diskusi pembelajaran yang dibantu oleh teknologi, serta interaksi belajar yang mendukung siswa untuk mempertanyakan, menilai, dan membentuk pengetahuan secara giat.

Abstract

This study explores the emergence of scientific ethics through inquiry-based renewable energy learning among fifth-grade elementary students. While inquiry-based learning (IBL) is widely recognized for improving scientific literacy and conceptual understanding, its role in fostering scientific ethical values at the elementary level remains underexplored. Using a qualitative case study design at SDN Ciptomulyo 1 Malang City, data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and analyzed thematically. The findings indicate that inquiry activities involving experiments with mini solar panels and windmills fostered honesty in data recording, responsibility in conducting procedures, openness to empirical evidence, collaborative engagement, and critical reflection on experimental outcomes. These ethical dispositions emerged through structured investigation and teacher-facilitated discussion. The study highlights that inquiry-based renewable energy instruction not only enhances conceptual mastery but also supports the development of scientific character in elementary science education.

Abstract

Mathematics education in elementary schools often encounters challenges, especially in teaching fractions that are many students difficult to understand it. These challenges need for more interactive and contextual teaching methods that can improve students' comprehension of fractions. The purpose of study to evaluate the effectiveness of Wayground media based on local wisdom, in increasing fraction problem-solving skills in primary school students. The Method of research employed a quantitative pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest and posttest, conducted on fifth-grade students at SD Islam Sabilillah Malang. Instruments based on Polya's problem-solving indicators were used to measure students’ abilities, beside their validity and reliability were tested using Cronbach's Alpha. Additionally, a questionnaire was administered to assess student responses to the Wayground media. Data analysis was performed using Microsoft Excel, including normality tests and calculation of the N-Gain Score. The results indicated a significant improvement in students' problem-solving skills, with pretest scores averaging 42.57 and posttest scores increasing 74.77. The N-Gain score of 0.5573 placed the media in the "moderately effective" category. Students' responses to the media were also very positive, with motivation and material understanding scores exceeding 80%. In conclusion, Wayground media based on local wisdom effectively improves fraction problem-solving skills, making learning more engaging and culturally relevant. This research contributes to the development of innovative and contextually relevant teaching methods in mathematics education.
