Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of participatory methods and multidimensional approaches in Islamic religious education at MI Raudlatussalam Besuk, Probolinggo, and their impact on increasing attitudes of tolerance among students. The main objective of this study is to identify how this learning method can shape students' characters to be more tolerant and respectful and live side by side in diversity. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study at MI Raudlatussalam, involving interviews with the principal, religious teachers, parents of students, and student representatives, as well as direct observation of the learning process at school. The study results indicate that using participatory methods, which involve students actively in group discussions, joint projects, and extracurricular activities, has created an inclusive and harmonious learning environment. Students learn and apply religious values in daily interactions, including in interfaith relations. A multidimensional approach that combines various dimensions of learning, such as extracurricular activities and social interactions, has also proven effective in strengthening attitudes of tolerance. Parents and student representatives expressed that this approach positively impacted the development of students' characters, who were more open and empathetic towards differences. This study concludes that the participatory method and multidimensional approach applied at MI Raudlatussalam have succeeded in increasing the understanding and application of tolerance values and forming better student character in dealing with diversity.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools, known as pesantren, play a crucial role as Islamic educational institutions in shaping students' character, knowledge, and skills to face future challenges. These institutions have a long-standing tradition rich in Islamic values, discipline, and independence, which are deeply embedded in their daily practices. Pesantren not only focuses on providing religious education but also emphasizes moral, social, and life skills relevant to contemporary needs. The holistic approach of pesantren nurtures students' spiritual, intellectual, and social development, fostering a balance between academic knowledge and moral integrity. Furthermore, the pesantren environment encourages strong discipline and self-reliance, shaping students to become resilient and adaptable individuals. This article explores the unique traditions of Islamic boarding schools and their influence on students' development, analyzing the implications for their future roles in society as leaders, professionals, and morally responsible citizens who contribute positively to their communities and beyond.

Abstract

Congregational prayer is worship carried out by a group of people, at least two people, with the selection of an imam who is fluent in reading and has a good understanding of Islamic law. It is the Imam who stands in the front row, while the others are the makmum or followers. As far as the author is concerned, there is an interesting side when discussing the efforts and supporting factors that regional heads are trying to improve the culture of congregational prayer for students.This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews and documentation techniques. For data analysis, Miles and Huberman's interactive model was used through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.The results of discussions on regional head management in improving the culture of congregational prayer in the Zaid bin Tsabit area show that regional heads implement various efforts, such as setting an example, providing motivation and religious activities, routine supervision. The implementation of these efforts has proven effective in increasing the participation of students in carrying out congregational prayers and strengthening social and spiritual ties in the Islamic boarding school environment. Evaluation can be done by looking at supporting and inhibiting factors. This research concludes that the active role and commitment of the head of the Sengat area is important in building a strong culture of congregational prayer in Islamic boarding schools, especially in the Zaid bin Tsabit area.

Abstract

This research aims to uncover the impact of religious culture on the academic integrity of students at Madrasah Aliyah Darul Ulum Lumajang. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, this research involves in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The research results show that religious education and a conducive learning environment play a significant role in shaping students' academic integrity. The moral values taught in religion, such as honesty and responsibility, become a strong foundation for student behavior. Additionally, the madrasah environment that emphasizes religious values creates an atmosphere that supports ethical behavior. Nevertheless, this study also found challenges such as academic pressure and the influence of the social environment that can trigger cheating behavior. This study concludes that a strong religious culture can serve as a fortress for students' academic integrity. However, continuous efforts are needed to ensure that religious values are effectively internalized and the learning environment remains conducive.

Abstract

If in Islam ethics includes manners, then ethics is more about measuring reason. Ethics is a branch of philosophy that studies human behavior. In Islamic ethics, it is not only a virtue, but it is useful for all and appreciated by Allah. Ethics also examines the good and bad sides of an action, including what is right and what is wrong. This study presents Islamic ethics that originate from Islamic teachings and philosophy. In addition, here we discuss the understanding of the relationship between ethics and science, which is not discussed much in Islamic philosophy. Among the figures of Islamic philosophy discussed in the study are Plato and al-Ghazali. And for those who have reduced ethics to an existing science, here is a discussion of how ethics and science can be improved because both have a strong ethical foundation and are the basis for achieving true happiness. There are two types of mind: philosophical and common sense. Plato also said that people are good when they are ruled by reason and evil when they are ruled by desires and passions

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui manajemen pengelolaan Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo di masa Pandemi ini dalam menjalankan fungsinya sebagai lembaga dakwah dan lembaga pendidikan untuk mencapai target dan tujuan yang ditetapkan. Adapun fokus dan arah penelitian ini dibatasi pada kajian manajemen penduduan Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo di masa Covid-19. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif yang mencakup upaya menelaah data empiris yang menggambarkan makna keseharian secara problematis dalam kehidupan yang dijabarkan dengan pengambilan data berupa hasil kualitatif untuk menggali sebanyak mungkin fakta sesuai dengan fokus penelitian. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara dan observasi melibatkan pengurus, guru, ustadz dan tim gugus covid terkait manajemen pendidikan yang diterapkan di Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo di masa pandemi agar dapat menanggulangi penyebaran Covid-19. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid Paiton Probolinggo sudah melakukan manajemen pendidikan khususnya dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan dan menerapkan berbagai kebijakan dengan berbagai pertimbangan kebaikan bersama. Beberapa kebijakannya yaitu membentuk tim gugus covid-19, memberlakukan social distencing, memberikan layanan dan pendampingan kesehatan bagi santri secara khusus dan masyarakat secara umum, melaksanakan pembelajaran daring, mengaji online, pembelajaran tatap muka dengan protokol kesehatan ketat, menyediakan fasilitas penunjang kebersihan. Pada penerapan manajemen pesantren, sebaiknya tetap memberikan ilmu dan pendidikan dengan berkualitas seperti pembelajaran sebelum pandemi tanpa mengesampingkan keselamatan santri dan pengajar.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat telah menciptakan tantangan signifikan bagi organisasi mahasiswa untuk beradaptasi dengan era digital. Di Universitas Nurul Jadid, peningkatan kapasitas sumber daya manusia (SDM) organisasi mahasiswa dilakukan melalui pendekatan metode ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development), yang terdiri dari tahapan menemukan, impian, merancang, menentukan, dan melakukan. Tujuan pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan teknis, manajerial, dan kepemimpinan mahasiswa, sehingga organisasi mahasiswa dapat menghadapi tantangan era digital secara efektif. Metode ini dimulai dengan identifikasi aset yang dimiliki organisasi, seperti keterampilan anggota dan sumber daya lainnya. Selanjutnya, organisasi mahasiswa diajak untuk membayangkan visi masa depan yang diinginkan, merancang strategi dan program kerja yang realistis, serta menetapkan prioritas melalui musyawarah bersama. Program diimplementasikan melalui pelatihan teknis seperti manajemen media sosial, desain grafis, dan analitik digital, yang disertai dengan pelatihan kepemimpinan dan manajerial berbasis kolaborasi digital. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam kompetensi teknis dan kepemimpinan anggota organisasi mahasiswa. Selain itu, program ini juga memperkuat hubungan antarorganisasi mahasiswa, menciptakan jejaring yang lebih kuat, dan meningkatkan efektivitas organisasi dalam memanfaatkan teknologi digital. Dengan model ABCD, program ini memberikan kontribusi nyata dalam mempersiapkan generasi kepemimpinan yang adaptif, inovatif, dan responsif terhadap tantangan global.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the feasibility of web-based digital Arabic language gamification media from experts and users. Specifically, the research investigated the feasibility analysis of web media with the URL: https://belajararabonline14.wordpress.com/ containing Plotagon, Wordwalls, and Genially apps in learning Arabic at the Junior High School level. Generally, Arabic language instruction remains conventional and lacks interactivity. Consequently, students may experience boredom and reduced motivation to learn. Creating interactive materials using gaming principles could be one approach to solving this issue. This research was a type of quantitative descriptive research. This research involved 37 users and 4 validators. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to validators and users of this media and was analysed using descriptive statistics. The findings showed that web-based digital Arabic language gamification media received very valid responses from experts and users with details: a score of 4.53 from material experts, a score of 4.41 from media experts, a score of 4.93 from teacher responses, and a score of 4.06 from students. These findings suggest to Arabic teachers the potential benefit of incorporating this media as an auxiliary resource in Junior High School-level Arabic language instruction.

Abstract

This study aimed to develop the feasibility of the Mahârah al-Istimâ’ test instrument for electronic-based Arabic students using the Kahoot! application at UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. The method used in this research is the research and development of  Borg and Gall model through analysis, design, and testing. Eligibility is based on the expert validator test and the final operation field test. The results of the study can be concluded that: 1) Preparation of the Test Instrument refers to the 5 objectives or indicators of Mahmud Kamil an-Naqah into 50 questions in product design using the Kahoot! application, 2) From the results of the expert validator it is known that the results of the material quality are obtained by an average 5.37 and the media quality of the application is obtained by an average of 4.75 (very feasible), 3) After being obtained from the main field test to 20 students there are 6 questions or 12% that are not feasible because they are invalid and have not discrimination index, then the author revise and test the revision results to 70 students with 100% valid results and are suitable for use.

Abstract

Islamic religious education has a very important role in shaping the character and attitude of tolerance of society, especially multicultural and plural societies. In achieving tolerance, patterns of instilling tolerance education between religious communities are needed, the cultivation of tolerance is carried out in the form of an Islamic religious education approach, both in the form of curriculum and community roles. This research aims to analyze the model of Islamic religious education with multicultural insight to increase understanding of tolerance. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study, the research location is in Sukapura District, Probolinggo Regency. data collection techniques using observation, in-depth interviews and documentation, while data analysis uses the theory of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, namely: data collection, data condensation, presenting data, and drawing conclusions or verification. The results showed that Multicultural Insights in promoting tolerance movement in the rural side, was carried out by four methods; 1) Curriculum integration of Islamic religious education; 2) Internalization through the role of religious and traditional leader; and 3) Internalization through governmental policy and family.
