Abstract

Dental plaque is the most potential factor for dental disease. This community service aimsto conduct dental health counseling in reducing plaque index in SDN 1 students adjunct jeumpet kec. Darul Imarah Aceh Besar Regency. This community service is descriptive method, with the target being Class I and I1 students at SDN Ajun Jeumpet Aceh Besar Regency totaling 30 people. Data analysis using univariate analysis. The intervention provided was in the form of counseling, plaque index examination, and toothbrush. The results showed a decrease in plaque index before and after intervention (counseling) namely before intervention (counseling) (100%) with bad category namely (2.1-3.0), to (70%) plaque index with good category ie (0-1) after intervention (counseling). It can be concluded that there was a decrease in plaque index after counseling. It is recommended to the school that there is regular counseling to students about the importance of maintaining oral and dental health.

Abstract

Health education is important and the first step in increasing knowledge about health. The results of this service had a positive impact on cadres in increasing knowledge of dental health where the respondents' knowledge score before the intervention (pre-test) was in the sufficient category (62%), the largest distribution of respondents' knowledge immediately after the intervention (post test I) was in the good category (84%) and the largest distribution of respondents' knowledge one month after the intervention (post test II) was in the good category (100%). Shows that the largest distribution of respondents' practices before the intervention (pre-test) was in the sufficient category (64%). While the respondents' attitude scores after the intervention (post test I) were in the good category (92%), the largest distribution of respondents' practices one month after the intervention (post test II) was in the good category (96%). The conclusion is that the results of this service have succeeded in increasing cadres' knowledge of the importance of maintaining education from an early age. Apart from that, improving cadres' behavior will also increase the health of their families' teeth. With a regular and effective dental care routine, the risk of caries can be reduced.

Abstract

Dental health education is key instilling good oral hygiene practices and correct tooth brushing techniques in students. A community service initiative SDN 60 Banda Aceh City, aimed at Class V students, significantly enhanced their knowledge on dental and oral health using a descriptive educational approach for all 30 class members, with data analyzed univariate analysis. The intervention, which included dental health education remarkably improved students' dental health awareness. Before intervention, students predominantly lacked dental health knowledge; post-intervention, an impressive 96.7% exhibited good knowledge levels. This improvement underscores dental health education's effectiveness and the necessity of health workers' promotive approaches. Participation in School Health Unit (UKGS) activities, emphasizing the right brushing techniques and habits, is crucial for boosting dental and oral health awareness among youth. This experience highlights critical role of dental health education in enhancing students' overall health and well-being, demonstrating its transformative impact.

Abstract

  Plaque control is very important for maintaining oral healt. The habit of maintaining healthy teeth and mouth is influenced by the knowledge one has and proper tooth brushing techniques are very important in achieving dental and oral hygiene. Therefore, delivering dental and oral health education to students is very important. This community service aims to increase knowledge about how to control plaque and how to brush teeth properly and correctly in children at SDN 53 Banda Aceh City. This community service was carried out using a descriptive method, with the target being all 30 class V students at SDN 53 Banda Aceh City. The intervention provided is in the form of education about children's dental health and demonstrations on how to see plaque and how to control plaque (brushing teeth properly and correctly). Abstract

Para mahasiswa dalam menghadapi tantangan masa modern diperlukan kentrampilan dalam pengelolaan media menjadi sebuah keunggulan. Dalam menghadapi permasalahan di kalangan luar yang belum optimal serta lemahnya rapuhnya kelembagaan mahasiswa yang belum mampu memberikan kontribusi . Oleh karena itu penting untuk melakukan pemberdayaan mahasiswa melalui pelatihan penggunaan media social youtube untuk pemasaran dalam Menyusun konten creator yang menarik. Tujuan program ini adalah mendorong pengembangan usaha bagi mahasiswa yang lebih kreatif. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui metode survei partisipatif, observasi, ceramah, diskusi, dan praktik langsung, dengan melibatkan beberapa 11 orang mitra yang berasal dari perwakilan kelompok tani. Hasil pelaksanaan program memperlihatkan keseriusan dan antusias peserta dalam setiap sesi pelatihan. Beberapa hal teknis yang dapat dipahami oleh mitra program antara lain; manajemen usaha creator mahasiswa berbasis kewirausahaan sosial, pemanfaatan social media marketing, dengan peningkatan pemahaman sebesar 27 poin (68%) dibanding sebelum pelatihan, serta kesepakatan pembentukan lembaga mahasiswa sebagai sentra pengembangan hasil karya mahaswa.

Abstract

Sensitive teeth are a general term to denote hypersensitive dentine, which is a painful sensation that occurs in the exposed dentin/root of the tooth due to external stimuli such as heat, cold, and acid, especially in areas where the periodontal lining is missing. Hypersensitive dentin is correlated with abrasion when brushing teeth, periodontal disease, erosion from food or acid, and possibly increased scaling and gum recession. The results of the examination of the community in Nibong Village, North Aceh District, in early 2025 showed that out of 84 samples, 36 people were found to have sensitive teeth. The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that cause tooth sensitivity in the community. This type of research is a case study by conducting descriptive analysis. This study shows 36 people; there are 9 people who have  periodontal disease status  who are still healthy,  besides  experiencing complaints  of aching  or sensitive teeth as many as 30 people, there are shallow pockets (80.6%), assessment based on the division of the square of only 12 healthy conditions, the rest 82 have periodontal disease. In the examination of gingival recession of 21 people (53.3%), some thinning of the tooth enamel layer, gingival recession of 21 people (58.3%), thinning enamel conditions, and as many as 24 people (66.7%) are at risk of gingival recession. It can be concluded that the main cause of tooth sensitivity in the community is the habit of applying excessive pressure when weeding.

Abstract

Parents  has an important role as a companion in child health care , because there are still many parents who think that baby teeth are only temporary and will be replaced by permanent teeth so they don't pay attention to the cleanliness of baby teeth . Study This aim For know influence accompaniment Mother to hygiene behavior and status tooth child in SDN 2 Lambcot Aceh Besar . This type of research is Quasi Experimental Design with an equivalent research design control group design with pre test and post test . The subjects in this study were all Class V students at SDN 2 Lamcot , Aceh Besar District  totaling 60 children, then divided into two groups, the intervention group consisting of 30 children were given interventions (dental health education counseling and teaching students how to brush their teeth by accompanied by their parents ) whereas in the control group consisted of 30 children who were given interventions ( dental health education counseling and teaching students how to brush their teeth). The sampling technique in this study is the total population. The measuring instrument used is questionnaires and tools diagnosis . Analysis of the results of quantitative data in this study using Paired Sample T- Test and Independent Sample T- test . Data analysis used the Statistics Program for Social Science (SPSS), with hypothesis testing based on a significant level of p <0.05. The research results show that no _ there are differences in the level of knowledge, attitudes, actions and hygiene status teeth and mouth students before and after intervention statistically significant (p > 0.05) p exist group control . There are differences in the level of knowledge, attitudes, actions and hygiene status teeth and mouth students before and after intervention statistically significant (p < 0.05) p exist group treatment . There are differences in the values of knowledge, attitudes, actions, and hygiene status pupil teeth in both groups between groups treatment with control group p This shown statistically p<0.05) . Director recommends n to Mother For given education and information to parents and children regarding the importance of maintaining oral hygiene.

Abstract

Kebersihan gigi dan mulut disebabkan adanya pewarnaan gigi (stain) pada mukosa rongga mulut serta bau mulut merupakan masalah yang paling umum dialami oleh masyarakat. Kebiasaan menyikat yang baik dan benar pada penduduk Indonesia hanya (2,8%) untuk daerah NAD, presentase masyarakat menyikat gigi 15 tahun keatas yang menyikat gigi pada waktu yang benar sebesar (3,3%). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Edukasi Media Sosial Instagram Dalam Peningkatkan Pengetahuan Siswa Terhadap Pencegahan Stain Gigi Siswa SMAN 1 Darul Imarah .Jenis penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi eksperimen dengan desain one group pre-test and post-test design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya peningkatan mean nilai pengetahuam siswa setelah dilakukan intervensi dengan edukasi media sosial Instagram 17,17 dari pretest 68 menjadi 85,17 pada saat posttest, pengolahan data menggunakan uji statistic, Paired Sample T-Test P=0,000 (P=<0,05). Kesimpulan ada pengaruh edukasi media sosial Instagram terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dalam pencegahan stain gigi. Saran diharapkan kepada guru dan tenaga kesehatan gigi dapat bekerjasama dalam memberikan bimbingan dan penyuluhan tentang kebersihan gigi dan mulut.

Abstract

As an organization that produces health services, one of the factors that determine the quality of product is personnel who worked with dedication and professionalism. This is achieved when the manager is able to give a satisfaction to all employees on the job. This study aimed to investigate the relationship individual and workplace characteristics with job satisfaction of employee. The populations of study were 32 employees of Environmental Health Department of Health Polytechnic of Aceh. Individual and workplace characteristic and job satisfaction were collecting by structural questionnaires. The product moment correlation was conducted to analysis of the data. The study showed individual and workplace characteristics were strongly correlation on job satisfaction (p=0.000 and r = 0.805) or 80.5% the independent variables are able to explain the dependent variable of job satisfaction is r-square = 0.647, or by 64.7%.

Abstract

The community service activity entitled “Empowering Health Cadres in Disseminating the Impact of Smoking on Oral Health among Diabetes Mellitus Patients in Darul Imarah Subdistrict, Aceh Besar” was successfully carried out. The objective was to increase community awareness regarding the causes, symptoms, and complications of diabetes mellitus; the impact of smoking on oral health in diabetes patients; the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease; and efforts to reduce the prevalence of diabetes mellitus. The method used was education and counseling involving 40 participants, including health cadres, PKK members, youth groups, and diabetes patients.Pre-test results indicated low levels of knowledge: 55% on diabetes mellitus, 50% on the impact of smoking, 48% on periodontal disease prevention, and 52% on efforts to reduce diabetes prevalence. After the intervention, post-test results showed improvement, with knowledge increasing to 85% on diabetes mellitus, 82% on smoking impact, 80% on periodontal disease prevention, and 83% on diabetes prevention efforts. Overall, the average increase reached 31,25%. Based on the distribution of knowledge improvement, 65% of participants experienced a high increase (>30%), 30% moderate (15–30%), and 5% low (<15%). It can be concluded, Education and counseling significantly improved participants’ knowledge, with an average increase of 31,25%. The majority (65%) achieved a high level of improvement. Further guidance is recommended for participants with low improvement.
