<![CDATA[This research aimed to find out the effectiveness of problem-based learning model on students mathematics problem solving ability.The research design which was used was post-test only control group design.The population of this research was all students of grade 7th of MTs Al Hikmah Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2014/2015 that was distributed into five classes.The samples of this research were all students of VII.A and VII.B class which was chosen by purposive sampling technique.The data of this research were obtained by mathematics problem solving ability test.Based on the result of data analysis, it concluded that viewed by student's mathematical problem solving ability, problem-based learning model was not effective, but it was more effective than conventional learning model.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model problem based learning terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah posttest only control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII MTs Al-Hikmah Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015 yang terdistribusi dalam lima kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa ditinjau dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, model problem based learning tidak efektif, namun lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: konvensional, pemecahan masalah matematis, problem based learning]]>

<![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of cooperative learning model of Think Pair Share in terms of understanding of mathematical concepts of students. The population of this research was all students ofgrade VII of SMP Negeri 1 Natar in academic year of 2015/2016 that consist of 13 classes. The sample of this research was students of VII-I and VII-J class which were taken by purposive sampling technique. This research design was posttest only control design. The instrument of this research was essay test of understanding of mathematical concepts. Based on the analysis of data, the understanding of mathematical concepts who was taught by TPS learning was better than the understanding of mathematical concepts who was taught by conventional learning and the percentage of students who have good understanding of mathematical concepts was more than 60%. Thus, Think Pair Share cooperative learning model was effective viewed by understanding of mathematical concepts.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Natar tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 yang terdiri dari tiga belas kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-I dan VII-J yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini adalah posttest only control design. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah tes uraian pemahaman konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran TPS lebih baik dari pemahaman konsep matematis yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional dan persentase siswa yang memiliki pemahaman konsep dengan baik lebih dari 60%. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share efektif ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep siswa.Kata kunci: efektivitas, pemahaman konsep, think pair share]]>

<![CDATA[This aim of this research was to know the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning type Quick On The Draw in terms of students mathematical communication skills on Set topic. This research used pretest-posttest control group design.The population of this research were students of grade VII in SMPN 2 Bumi Ratu Nuban in academic year 2016/2017. Through purposive sampling technique, two classes was choosen as the sample that were VII D and VII E classes respectively amount 25 students and 24 students. Analysis data of this research used Mann-Whitney U test. Based on the research, it was concluded that Quick On The Draw learning was not effective in terms of students mathematical communication skills but it was better than conventional learning.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Quick On The Draw ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa pada materi Himpunan. Desain yang digunakan adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Bumi Ratu Nuban tahun pelajaran 2016/2017. Terpilih 2 kelas sebagai sampel yaitu kelas VII D dan VII E masing-masing berjumlah 25 siswa dan 24 siswa, melalui teknik purposive sampling. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini mengguankan uji Mann-Whitney U. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran Quick On The Draw tidak efektif ditinjau dari kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa tetapi lebih baik dibandingkan pembelajaran konvensional.Kata kunci: efektivitas, komunikasi matematis, quick on the draw.]]>

<![CDATA[This experimental research aimed to find out the effectiveness of metacognitive strategy in increasing student’s mathematical critical thinking ability. The population of this research was on entire students of grade VIII of Junior High School Global Madani Bandar Lampung of 2017/2018 as many as 95 students. The sampling was cluster random sampling technique. The design used in this research was the static-group pretest-posttest grup design. This experiment used Binomial Sign Test for a single sample test and Mann-Whitney U test for proving the hypothesis. So that, the metacognitive strategy was effective to increase student’s critical thinking ability. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas pembelajaran dengan strategi metakognitif ditinjau dari kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Global Madani Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 sebanyak 95 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling . Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah the static-group pretest-posttest design. Pengujian Hiipotesis pada penelitian ini menggunakan uji Binonial Sign Test for a single sample test dan uji Mann-Whitney U test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan didapat kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran dengan strategi metakognitif efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis. This research design was post-test only control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VII of SMP Negeri 8 Bandar Lampung in academic years of 2013/2014. This research samples were students of VII-H and VII-I class which were chosen by purposive sampling. <![CDATA[This research aimed to know the effectiveness of the implementation of guided inquiry model in increasing students mathematical communications skill. The population of this research was all students of grade eight of MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2014/2015. The sample of this research was students of VIIIB class that was determined by purposive sampling. The design of this research was one group pretest-posttest design. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that the implementation of guided inquiry model was effective in increasing students mathematical communications skill.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan model guided inquiry dalam meningkatkan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII MTs Hidayatul Islamiyah Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2014/2015. <![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the effect of Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model toward students’conceptual understanding of mathematics. The population of this research was students of grade VIII of Junior High School of 22 Bandarlampung in academic year of 2016/2017 that were distributed into eleven classes, start from VIII A until VIII K. The sampling was doneby purposive sampling technique and it was chosen students of VIII A and VIII D as samples. This research used posttest only control group design. Research data were obtained through test of mathematical concept comprehension. The data analysis which was used was t-test. Based on the result of research, it was concluded that Think Pair Share (TPS) cooperative learning model have an effect on students’conceptual understanding of mathematics. Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII semester genap SMP Negeri 22 Bandar Lampung tahun ajaran 2016-2017 yang terdistribusi dalam 11 (sebelas) kelas, yaitu kelas VIII A sampai VIII K. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dan terpilih siswa pada kelas VIII A dan VIII D sebagai sampel. Penelitian ini menggunakan posttest only control group design. Data penelitian diperoleh dengan menggunakan instrumen tes pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share (TPS) berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. <![CDATA[Think Pair Share (TPS) merupakan salah satu tipe model pembelajaran kooperatif yang memberi pengalaman belajar pada siswa untuk lebih mudah memahami materi pelajaran yang telah dipelajari. Pembelajaran TPS terdiri dari beberapa tahapan yaitu berfikir secara individu (think), berdiskusi dengan pasangannya (pair) dan berbagi dengan seluruh kelas (share). Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Page-laran Semester Ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2012/2013 sebanyak 316 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam sepuluh kelas. Sampel penelitian ini dua kelas yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan post-test control design. <![CDATA[This was quasi experimental research that aimed to investigate the influence of cooperative learning model of think pair share type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. Posttest only control group design was used as the design of this research. The population of this research was all students of 8th grade of Junior High School State 7 Bandarlampung in academic year 2012/2013 except students of excellent class. The sample of this research were two class which chosen from eight class by purposive random sampling technique. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that cooperative learning model of think pair share type influences towards students’ mathematical conceptual understanding of 8th grade of Junior High School State 7 Bandarlampung in academic year 2012/2013.Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think Pair Share terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah posttest only control group design. <![CDATA[This quasi experimental research aimed to find out the increasing of critical thinking skills and self confidence of students who was taught by problem based learning compared to conventional learning. The design which was used was pretest-posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade VIII of SMP Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung in the academic year of 2015/2016 and the samples of this research were students of VIII-A and VIII-B class that were determined by purposive sampling technique. The data of critical thinking were obtained by test and data of self confidence were obtained by questionare. Based on the research results, it was concluded that the implementation of problem based learning could increase critical thinking skills, but it could not increase students' self confidence.Penelitian eksperimen semu ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan self confidence siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis masalah dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Al Kautsar Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 dan sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII-A dan VIII-B yang ditentukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa diperoleh melalui tes sedangkan data self confidence diperoleh melalui kuesioner. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berbasis masalah dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, namun tidak dapat meningkatkan self confidence siswa.Kata kunci: berpikir kritis, pembelajaran berbasis masalah, self confidence]]>
