Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the physicochemical characteristics of soils across different land uses in Jatiroke Village, West Java. Twenty-four surface soil samples were collected from rice fields, plantations, residential areas, and a temporary waste disposal site (TPS) using a stratified random sampling design. Parameters measured included soil color, texture, temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and total dissolved solids (TDS) through field and laboratory analyses. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) was applied to evaluate parameter relationships and identify dominant drivers of variability. Results showed that rice fields exhibited the highest salinity, primarily linked to the application of nitrogen- and potassium-based fertilizers, while TPS soils were affected by leachate containing organic and inorganic contaminants. Residential areas maintained near-neutral pH and low salinity, and plantations displayed intermediate variability. Descriptive traits such as color and texture varied across land uses but did not strongly differentiate soil conditions. PCA confirmed EC and TDS as the dominant differentiating factors, with pH and temperature contributing secondary variation. These findings demonstrate that fertilizer use and waste leachate are the main causes of elevated soil salinity, emphasizing the importance of monitoring EC and TDS for sustainable land management.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of digital shared reading in primary school, analyze its influence on students' vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension, and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in its implementation. A qualitative descriptive methods was employed, with data collected through observation, interviews, and document analysis (teaching modules, teaching materials, and digital media). Participants consisted of one English teacher and 4th-grade primary school students. The qualitative data were systematically coded and analyzed using NVivo 14 to identify emerging themes and patterns. The results showed that digital shared reading implemented in a structured, interactive, and adaptive manner enhances students’ cognitive and affective engagement. The integration of text, images, and audio narration in digital storybooks helps students understand meaning contextually and strengthens their memory of new vocabulary. However, the barriers include limited digital infrastructure, short learning durations, and a lack of digital reading materials that represent local culture

Abstract

Response time is the time needed by patients to get help that is appropriate to the emergency of their illness since entering the Emergency Room. Nurse’s response time is often the cause of a patient experiencing anxiety. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is a significant relationship between nurses’ response time and patient’ anxiety levels at the Emergency Room (ER) of Murni Teguh Ciledug Hospital in Tangerang. This type of research is quantitative research with a cross-sectional study design. The sampling technique in this study was accidental sampling and the sample size in this study amounted to 100 respondents. Data analysis used the Spearman Rho test. The results of this study with the Spearman Rho test showed a relationship between response time and patient anxiety levels in the ER of Murni Teguh Ciledug Hospital with a p-value = 0.033 (α<0.05). It is recommended to conduct further research with more samples and add variables of environmental conditions, types of diseases and previous experiences.

Abstract

The quality of education in Islamic schools (madrasah) is highly dependent on teachers' pedagogical competence, which is a core skill in managing student-centred teaching and learning processes. However, the implementation of this competence development has not been internalized regularly. This study aims to identify and analyze the forms of pedagogical competence development activities and their supporting and inhibiting factors for Islamic school teachers in Serang Regency. This study employs a descriptive qualitative approach via a structured survey of teachers at eight private Madrasah Tsanawiyah in Serang Regency, utilizing convenience sampling to gather both quantitative metrics and qualitative narratives. Data collected on the frequency, types, and organizers of competency development were processed through systematic data reduction and synthesis to provide a comprehensive analysis of teacher pedagogical growth. The results showed that the majority of teachers (68.9%) rarely participated in competence development activities, with the main obstacles being adjustments to teaching schedules and budget constraints. The most dominant type of activity participated in was training (70.2%), driven by the accessibility of certified independent online training such as PINTAR from the Ministry of Religious Affairs. The most popular topics were curriculum or syllabus development and learning design, with the main organizers being schools or foundations and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Overall, there is a significant gap between teachers' professional awareness and the reality of implementation, which is hampered by issues of time, budget, and lack of frequency of ongoing activities, so that a hybrid, adaptive, and integrated development model is needed in the teacher's workload.

Abstract

Relational marketing has become an important approach in the management of educational services, particularly in building long-term relationships and increasing public trust. However, previous studies tend to examine relational marketing and Islamic educational values separately, with limited integration between the two perspectives.  This study aims to analyze the role of relational marketing management in Islamic educational institutions in enhancing public trust. This research employs a qualitative approach using a systematic literature review method by reviewing relevant scientific sources published between 2020 and 2025. The findings indicate that relational marketing significantly contributes to increasing public trust through service quality, effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and the utilization of digital technology. In the context of Islamic education, relational marketing aligns with the principles of amanah (trustworthiness), ihsan (excellence), and ukhuwah (brotherhood), which strengthen ethical and sustainable relationships.  This study concludes that relational marketing is not only a marketing strategy but also a value-based managerial approach that supports the sustainability of Islamic educational institutions. Furthermore, this study contributes by integrating relational marketing concepts with Islamic values in enhancing public trust.

Abstract

Even though the concept of physics is very important in daily activities, the cave exploration activities (caver and or cave tourists) are not based on of physics concepts. In addition, the teachers do not realize that through caves and it exploration activities can be used to learn the physics concepts. This research aims to study the physics concepts in caving activities where it used to develop of physics edupark digital books for senior high school students. This is preliminary research that part of research and development method by using the Plomp model where the study consists of teacher, student, and material potential analysis. This study has been resulting that many concepts while cave exploration activities. It can be used to lean the physics concepts then developing an Edupark physics digital enrichment book as a demand of the Merdeka’s Curriculum. The learning activities growth from the abilities of students who emphasize contextual learning where the students building meaningful understanding through learning and optimizing technology in learning

Abstract

This study analyzes the verb phrase in Taylor Swift’s Never Grow Up song. The research aims to identify and understand the structure of verb phrases used in the song, as well as their role in conveying meaning and emotion. The study employs a qualitative descriptive analysis method, with data extracted from the song lyrics. The findings reveal that the verb phrases in the song include key syntactic structures such as passive voice, phrasal verbs, causative verbs, infinitive phrases, and hypothetical structures. These results indicate that verb phrases in song lyrics function not only grammatically but also enhance the emotional message and theme of the song. This research suggests further exploration of other grammatical structures in song lyrics to enrich linguistic understanding of music.

Abstract

Quality assurance is an action to maintain customer satisfaction. As a prominent fabrication producer, Firm A, which receives regular orders from corporate clients, has been challenged with maintaining quality consistency during the production process of filter tanks. This study aims to identify risks and evaluate failures that occur during the filter tank production process based on the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis method. The FMEA stage was started with a walkthrough survey to identify defects, followed by brainstorming sessions with two expert respondents to determine the severity, occurrence, and detection score. Subsequently, the Risk Potential Number score was calculated. Research findings distinguished three types of defects during production stages, namely welding, asymmetric, and painting. Based on risk quantification, it was found that the highest defect score, 392, was attributed to the painting failure category, characterized by excessively thick paint results. This finding was followed by the second-highest score of 336, and the third with value of 294 as failure of asymmetric joints. The practical implication in complementary of the FMEA finding showed that systematic training, audits, and briefings are suggested to address the issues that cause the highest number of failures on fabrication process.

Abstract

Water is an essential resource for human life, yet its quality has declined due to population growth and land-use changes. Sayang and Cikeruh Villages in Jatinangor District have experienced environmental pressures from land conversion and domestic activities that may affect groundwater and surface water quality. This study aims to map and analyze the physicochemical parameters of water, including temperature, pH, electrical conductivity (EC), and total dissolved solids (TDS), in well water and the Cikeruh River. Measurements were conducted at ten well and nine river sampling points and analyzed using descriptive, spatial, and multivariate methods. The results show that most well water samples meet clean water quality criteria; however, several locations exhibit elevated EC and TDS values and slightly acidic pH, indicating the influence of surrounding residential activities. In contrast, river water quality remains within acceptable limits for all measured parameters. Multivariate analysis reveals a strong correlation between EC and TDS in both well and river water, indicating their importance as key indicators of water quality. Spatial analysis shows that water quality in the southern part of the study area tends to be lower than in the northern part. Continuous monitoring and appropriate water resource management are therefore necessary to maintain water quality in the study area.
