Abstract

The magnetotelluric method is a geophysical method that utilizes natural variations in the electromagnetic field to map the resistivity distribution beneath the surface. In this method, inversion is the primary process used to estimate the resistivity structure from field data. This study proposes a deep learning-based approach for one-dimensional magnetotelluric inversion, combining Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) as an alternative inversion method. The dataset consists of 20 layers with resistivity and thickness values randomly selected within a specific range at 4000 meters depths and a probability value. Apparent resistivity and phase are obtained through forward modeling based on selected resistivity and thicknesses as input, while the resistivity structure is used as output, with a large data sample. The dataset was standardized and normalized using a logarithmic scale and the MinMax method to map values into the 0-1 range. The dataset was used to train the proposed CNN-GRU model, which is capable of mapping the resistivity distribution in the subsurface. The results show that the CNN-GRU model could map the resistivity distribution model and predict its thicknesses with small error based on the apparent resistivity and phase data, indicating that it can be used for one-dimensional inversion in magnetotellurics. Nevertheless, the model performed quite well on several field datasets, showing a good fit between predicted and true values.

Abstract

This study investigates the critical determinants of export success in the traditional ceramics industry of Plered, using the Dodol Badebah home enterprise as a case study. The research specifically analyzes the effects of product quality, marketing strategy, and external institutional support on export performance. A quantitative research design was adopted, utilizing structured questionnaires distributed to 60 consumers of Plered ceramics. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression to assess the influence and significance of each independent variable on export outcomes. Findings indicate that product quality exerts a significant and positive effect on export success, particularly through attributes such as design innovation, material strength, aesthetic value, and compliance with international standards. Conversely, marketing strategy and external support did not demonstrate statistically significant effects, suggesting the need for strategic realignment and more targeted institutional engagement. These results highlight the dominant role of internal capabilities, especially quality control and product development, over external promotional or governmental interventions in driving export readiness and sustainability. The study contributes to the growing body of literature on micro and small enterprises in developing economies by offering empirical evidence on export determinants in cultural and creative industries. Practically, the findings recommend prioritizing product excellence as a core strategy for global market penetration, while simultaneously improving the effectiveness of marketing channels and policy support mechanisms. Future research should explore digital transformation, international consumer preferences, and long-term impacts of policy shifts on export growth in artisanal sectors.

Abstract

Quality assurance is an action to maintain customer satisfaction. As a prominent fabrication producer, Firm A, which receives regular orders from corporate clients, has been challenged with maintaining quality consistency during the production process of filter tanks. This study aims to identify risks and evaluate failures that occur during the filter tank production process based on the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis method. The FMEA stage was started with a walkthrough survey to identify defects, followed by brainstorming sessions with two expert respondents to determine the severity, occurrence, and detection score. Subsequently, the Risk Potential Number score was calculated. Research findings distinguished three types of defects during production stages, namely welding, asymmetric, and painting. Based on risk quantification, it was found that the highest defect score, 392, was attributed to the painting failure category, characterized by excessively thick paint results. This finding was followed by the second-highest score of 336, and the third with value of 294 as failure of asymmetric joints. The practical implication in complementary of the FMEA finding showed that systematic training, audits, and briefings are suggested to address the issues that cause the highest number of failures on fabrication process.

Abstract

Environmental conditions in aquatic ecosystems could change due to the entry of additional materials, such as heavy metals and magnetic minerals. These materials, referred to as anthropogenic materials, could be derived from human activities. The presence of the materials could affect the magnetic properties and heavy metals content of river water and sediments. We have analyzed magnetic susceptibility and heavy metal concentration in sediments collected from Cisanti Lake. Cisanti Lake is known as “zero kilometers” of the Citarum River. Using the level of heavy metals in sediments, we calculated and evaluated pollution indices in the form of Contamination Factor (CF), Geoaccumulation Index (Igeo), and Pollution Load Index (PLI). The results showed that the magnetic susceptibility of sediments (𝜒𝐿𝐹) was in the range of 317.2 - 2274.9 (× 10-8) m3kg-1, inferring the dominance of ferrimagnetic minerals in sediments. Based on bivariate analysis of 𝜒𝐿𝐹 and the calculated frequency-dependent magnetic susceptibility or cFD (%), domain states of magnetic minerals are clustered at stable single domain (SSD)/multidomain (MD). Pollution indices of CF and Igeo showed that all sample points were contaminated by Cu at a considerable level.  Moderate to significant contamination occurred in the studied area according to the PLI analysis. The positive strong correlation between 𝜒𝐿𝐹 and PLI suggests that magnetic susceptibility serves as a proxy indicator of contamination.

Abstract

Language acquisition is influenced by both internal and external factors, including cognitive and IQ development. External factors arise from environmental influences, such as age, gender, intelligence, environment, economy, and social issues. Previous studies have looked at this type of study. However, no one had undertaken a research on this issue, such as morphology and phonology, in the contexts where the current study was conducted, and the comparative ages were only three years old children. These fills one of these gaps. This study aims to analyze the stages of phonology and morphology experienced by two children aged 3 years and above, focusing on the role of parents, particularly mothers, in influencing children's language acquisition. The descriptive qualitative method is used, and data is collected from children's utterances in natural context. findings show that F.A. (a 3-year-old girl) pronounced more phonemes and morphemes than M.A (a 3-year-old boy) and produced clearer utterances. Parental factors also play a role in child language, with both mothers using technology like YouTube animated videos to support language acquisition. This research fills a gap in previous studies on language acquisition in children of different topic and ages.

Abstract

Mathematics is a mandatory subject that students need to master, but many still think it is not related to life. This is evidenced by the fact that Indonesia's PISA score is below the average. The test results themselves are usually related to and can be influenced by learning discipline that coincides with learning independence, but can learning independence alone have a significant effect on test results. This study aims to see a relationship between learning independence and the results of the PISA test at SMP Plus Nurul Hidayah Pasundan. This was done by collecting data in the form of PISA test results and self-learning questionnaires. With several tests carried out, it is proven that independent learning can influence the results of the PISA test questions with a significance value of 0.000011335039557777 with the interpretation that there is a positive and significant relationship. The strength of the influence caused by independent learning is at 78.4%, meaning that independent learning greatly influences the results of the PISA test questions.
