Abstract

Lobster is one of the marine biota that has high economic value, as well as being one of the biota that can be developed through the cultivation process. The waters of Ekas Bay have the potential of marine resources that can be used as a place for lobster cultivation. This study aims to determine water quality with physical, chemical and biological parameters for lobster cultivation on the former coast of East Lombok Regency. The research was carried out in April 2022, located in the waters of Ekas Bay and the Lombok Marine Aquaculture Fisheries Laboratory Laboratory, West Sekotong, West Lombok Regency. Observations of the research were carried out in situ to observe water quality, as well as taking samples using a random sampling method of 8 points and then observing the content of nitrate, nitrite and plankton in the laboratory. The data that has been obtained is then analyzed descriptively by comparing the data with quality standards and ideal conditions for the development of sea crayfish aquaculture. The results showed that the water quality in Ekas Bay was generally in an ideal condition to be used as a lobster culture based on the appropriate quality standards of water quality for lobster cultivation. The water areas that are very suitable to be used as a place for lobster cultivation based on quality standards of water quality are the KJA 1, KJA 2, KJA 3 and Seagrass areas. The plankton species found consisted of Amphisolenia sp., Coscinadiscus sp., Nitzchia sp., Moina sp., Planktoniella sp., Oithona sp., Synedra sp. and Navicula sp.

Abstract

Ikan gurame (Osphronemus gouramy) merupakan salah satu jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis tinggi dan banyak digemari oleh masyarakat luas. Permasalahan yang di hadapi dalam penetasan telur ikan gurame yaitu daya tetas telur yang masih rendah dan tingkat kelulushidupan yang masih rendah. Pada fase ini kondisinya masih rentan terhadap perubahan lingkungan. Suhu adalah hal yang perlu diperhatikan dalam penetasan telur ikan gurame, oleh karena itu perlu dilakukan manipulasi suhu dalam wadah agar suhu lebih konstan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh suhu terhadap penetasan telur dan pertumbuhan larva ikan gurame (O. gouramy). Bahan uji yang digunakan adalah telur ikan gurame (O. gouramy) dengan total telur yang digunakan sebanyak 900 butir. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap 5 perlakuan 3 ulangan. Perlakuan dalam penelitian ini: perlakuan suhu P1 (28oC), P2 (29oC), P3 (30oC), P4 (31oC) dan P5 (32)oC. Data yang diamati meliputi survival rate, hatching rate, lama penetasan, panjang mutlak, dan spesifik growt rate. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perbedaan suhu berpengaruh nyata terhadap lama penetasan telur, panjang mutlak,kelulushidupan dan spesifik growt rate., sedangkan tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap daya tetas telur ikan gurame (O. gouramy). Perlakuan E 32oC adalah perlakuan yang terbaik yang menghasilkan penetasan 22 jam, daya tetas telur 96,67% kelulushidupan 91,35%, pertumbuhan panjang mutlak 1,47 cm dan SGR 4,42%.

Abstract

Sistem resirkulasi merupakan salah satu sistem budidaya yang mampu untuk menopang jalannya proses budidaya karena dalam sistem ini menerapkan pemanfaatan air secara berkelanjutan dan tidak memerlukan lahan yang terlalu luas dengan wadah besar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kombinasi jenis filter terbaik terhadap tingkat pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup benih ikan nila (O. niloticus) pada sistem resirkulasi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 3 ulangan. Adapun perlakuan dalam penelitian ini adalah perlakuan A (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, pecahan karang (kontrol)), B (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, pecahan genteng, pecahan karang), C (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, karbon aktif,pecahan karang), D (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, bioring, pecahan karang), dan E (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, bioball, pecahan karang). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh kombinasi filter yang diterapkan menunjukkan hasil berpengaruh nyata terhadap nilai laju pertumbuhan benih ikan nila. Kombinasi filter yang diterapkan dengan sistem resirkulasi pada perlakuan D (kapas sintetis, pasir malang, pecahan karang, bioring) memberikan hasil yang signifikan terhadap parameter pertumbuhan berat mutlak sebesar 11. 07 g, panjang mutlak 4.62 cm, berat spesifik 5.04 %, dan panjang spesifik sebesar 1.58 %.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the blood profile of tilapia (O. niloticus) on fortified feed with E. cottonii seaweed flour. This research was conducted for 60 days at the Laboratory of the Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. The method used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experiment with four treatments and three replications, namely P1 (without E. cottonii flour), P2 (E. cottonii flour 4%), P3 (E. cottonii flour 8%), P4 (E. cottonii flour 12%). The parameters measured were hematocrit, hemoglobin, erythrocytes, leukocytes, absolute weight, absolute length, SR and water quality including temperature, DO, and pH. Statistically analyzed at 5% significance level with 95% confidence level using ANOVA analysis and further test using Duncan's Multiple Range test. The results showed that the hematocrit value ranged from 10.67-13.67%, hemoglobin ranged from 5.1-9.1G%, erythrocytes ranged from 2.2x106-9.9 x106 cells/mm. leukocytes ranged from 11.4 x104-17.6 x104 cells/mm, absolute weight ranged from 16.26 -18.6 g, absolute length ranged from 5.08±0.50-5.91±0.27cm and survival (SR) ranged from 86.7±11.55-93.3±5.77%. Measurement of water quality, temperature 28-28.8, DO 6.8-7.5, and pH 7.43-7.99. The addition of different E. cottonii flour to tilapia feed affected hemoglobin, erythrocyte, leukocyte and growth levels, but did not affect hematocrit levels and survival rates. Supplementation of E. cottonii flour to a concentration of 12% in feed can increase hemoglobin, erythrocyte, and leukocyte levels so as to support better growth performance of tilapia

Abstract

Ikan Banggai Cardinal merupakan spesies ikan endemik di Kepulauan Banggai, Sulawesi Tengah, Indonesia dalam bahasa lokal dikenal sebagai ikan capungan. Ikan ini memiliki keunikan tersendiri ditinjau dari segi tingkah laku, bentuk tubuh, warna maupun pola hidupnya. Budidaya Ikan Banggai Cardinal di Keramba Jaring Apung Balai Budidaya Laut Lombok (BPBL) tidak diberikan pakan tambahan. Salah satu faktor yang berperan dalam mendukung keberhasilan kegiatan budidaya ikan adalah pemberian pakan. Oleh karena itu, upaya yang dilakukan dalam mendukung kegiatan budidaya adalah salah satunya dengan pemberian pakan tambahan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian jenis pakan yang berbeda terhadap pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup Ikan Banggai Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni) yang di budidayakan pada Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) menggunakan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan yaitu, P1 (Kontrol/tanpa pemberian pakan), P2 (Ikan Rucah), P3 (Udang Rebon) dan P4 (Pellet). Hasil penelitian menunjukan pemberian pakan yang berbeda memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap pertumbuhan spesifik. Namun, tidak memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap rasio konversi pakan, efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan dan kelangsungan hidup. Pakan terbaik yaitu, P3 (Udang rebon) yang memberikan pertumbuhan optimum bagi Ikan Banggai Cardinal (Pterapogon kauderni).

Abstract

Goldfish is one of the freshwater cultured fish that is favored by the community both for consumption and as ornamental fish. Sweet potato (Ipomea batatas L.) is a plant that can be used as a prebiotic in fish feed. Sweet potato (I. batatas L.) is an annual plant that grows in the tropics. Sweet potatoes contain lots of carbohydrates, provitamin A, B vitamins, vitamin C, minerals, and a little fat and protein. This research is an experimental study using Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications each, so the number of experimental units is 12 units. P1 : commercial feed (control), P2: purple sweet potato extract 4 ml / 100 g feed, P3: purple sweet potato extract 8 ml / 100 g feed, P4: purple sweet potato extract 12 ml / 100 g feed. The data obtained were tested using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at a 95% confidence level through the SPSS program to determine the effect of each treatment. Abstract

Betta fish (Betta sp.) is one type of ornamental fish that has a fairly high price. Color is one of the parameters in determining the value of ornamental fish. Dragon fruit can be used as an alternative to improve the color quality of fish. This study aims to determine the effect of adding dragon fruit extract to artificial feed on the brightness of the color of betta fish and to conclude the appropriate dose of dragon fruit extract to increase the brightness of the color of betta fish. This research was conducted for 45 days starting from April – May 2021 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. The method used is a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) experimental method with five treatments and ten replications, namely P0 (without the addition of dragon fruit extract), P1 (addition of dragon fruit extract 0.25%), P2 (addition of dragon fruit extract 0.50 %), P3 (addition of dragon fruit extract 1.00%), P4 (addition of dragon fruit extract 1.50%). The highest brightness level of Betta fish is at P4 with a value of 30.02 and the lowest is at P0 as much as 11.55%. The highest carotenoid content was at P4 with a value of 8.56 mol/g while the lowest carotenoid content was at P0 with a value of 2.54 mol/g.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the addition of pumpkin flour (C. moschata D.) and papaya flour (C. papaya) to feed to increase the brightness of the gold fish (C. auratus) color. The method used is an experimental method with a completely randomized design, consisting of four treatments and three replications of P0 0% (Control), P1 10% , P2 20%, P3 30%. Research parameters include carotenoid analysis, hunter’s color test, absolute weight growth, absolute specific growth, absolute length growth , FCR, EPP, survival rate and water quality. The results showed that the addition of a mixture of pumpkin flour and papaya flour in the goldfish can affect the value of feed conversion, feed afficiency, survival rate, carotenoid content and the brightness of the goldfish color on the value of a* (redness), b* (yellowness) and Huebut it does not affect the value of L* (lightness) and the growth of the goldfish

Abstract

Tilapia is one of the types of freshwater fish that have a high economic value. One of the problems in cultivation activities is the price of raw materials feed that is relatively expensive. To overcome this, the use of seaweed meal can be one of the alternative ingredients in reducing the use of fish flour and soy flour in feed. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the addition of E. cottonii seaweed meal on feed on the growth and survival of tilapia (O. niloticus). The research method used is an experimental method using a complete randomized design (RAL), with 4 treatments and 3 repeats. The treatment in this study was P1 (control / no seaweed meal), P2 (E. cottonii meal 4%), P3 (E. cottonii meal 8%), P4 (E. cottonii meal 12%). Data is analyzed using diversity fingerprint analysis (ANOVA) with a 95% confidence level. The results showed that the addition of E. cottonii seaweed meal to feed had a significant effect on absolute weight growth and absolute long growth in tilapia, but did not have a significant effect on specific growth rates, efficiency of feed utilization, feed conversion rate and tilapia survival.

Abstract

Goldfish (Cyprinus carpio) is one of the freshwater fish commodities that are very popular with the public both for consumption and as ornamental fish. This study aims to analyze the growth of carp fed with the use of coconut husks and the optimum dose to produce high growth and survival rates for carp. This research was conducted by experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments given were: Treatment 0: 100% feed formulation, Treatment 1: 90% feed formulation + 10% Coconut Arid Skin and Treatment C: 80% feed formulation + 20% Coconut Arid Skin. Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the P0 (Control) treatment gave an absolute weight growth of 26.11 grams, a specific growth of 13.26%, the best FCR P1 was 4.30 grams and the results of P1 feed efficiency were higher than other treatments that is equal to 24.26%. The survival of carp with the addition of coconut husk at a dose of 10% at 80% and a dose of 20% resulted in an SR of 72%, while the survival in the P0 treatment (control) without the use of coconut husk was 92%.
