Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan kolaborasi belajar siswa dalam membuat herbarium pada materi klasifikasi tumbuhan sub bahasan herbarium. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif yaitu dengan menggambarkan secara detail kemampuan kolaborasi siswa dalam membuat herbarium pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup. Subjek penerima tindakan adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu yang berjumlah 23 siswa. Cara pengambilan data kemampuan kolaborasi dengan menggunakan lembar observasi dengan menggunakan 4 indikator dan 10 deskriptor. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan presentase rata-rata skor pada indikator keterampilan kolaborasi. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata presentase kemampuan kolaborasi siswa pada pembelajaran pertama dan kedua yaitu 64,12% dengan kategori kolaboratif. Berdasarkan hasil rata-rata nilai presentase pada pembelajaran pertama dan kedua indikator yang paling banyak dilakukan siswa yaitu dapa indikator A dengan rata-rata presentase 100% dan deskriptor yang paling sedikit dilakukan siswa yaitu pada deskriptor J 13,04%. Implikasi dari penelitian ini yaitu model Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan motivasi belajar siswa dalam bekerjasama menyelesaikan tugas proyek yang diberikan sehingga dapat meningkatkan sikap aktif untuk berkolaborasi pada siswa yang dibuktikan dari kenaikan nilai presentase pada pembelajaran pertama dan kedua.

Abstract

Pemahaman siswa yang rendah pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup disebabkan karena pembelajaran yang konvensional (tidak kontekstual) serta siswa masih menghafal ciri-ciri makhluk hidup tanpa mengetahui bentuk aslinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) meningkatkan kognitif siswa 2) keterampilan siswa dalam membuat herbarium dengan model Project Based Learning. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, melibatkan siswa SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Batu TA 2021/2022. Sampel yang digunakan 23 siswa kelas 7 (kelas tahfidz), diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Pengambilan data melalui lembar observasi dan pre- post test. Prosedur penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan 2 siklus setiap siklus diberikan pre-post test dan pembuatan herbarium. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian yaitu 1) model pembelajaran Project Based Learning dapat meningkatkan kognitif siswa materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup, dengan peningkatan skor dari siklus I (8,70%) ke siklus II (86,96%) termasuk kategori sangat baik 2) Siswa terampil dalam pembuatan herbarium yang dilihat dari setiap indikator proses pembuatan dan hasil akhir produk sebesar 87%. Oleh karena itu, dengan menggunakan model PjBL pada materi klasifikasi makhluk hidup, tepat untuk digunakan karena meningkatkan kognitif siswa dan terampilnya siswa dalam membuat herbarium.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan lingkungan sekolah dengan dua pola yaitu di dalam kelas dan di luar kelas. Kegiatan di dalam kelas memperhaatikan tujuan, materi, trategi, karakter siswa, dan alokasi waktu, sedang di luar kelas dengan cara bebas, terkontrol, perorangan, dan kelompok. Model pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran aktif dengan berbagai strategi dan pendekatan yang berpusat pada siswa. Pembelajaran dikemas dalam program Lesson Study, yaitu tahap Plan, Do, dan See. Dalam tahapan ini juga menanamkan kesaadaran metakognitif melalui tahapan memahami, mengendaikan, dan memanipulasi proses kognisi.

Abstract

Media merupakan alat yang penting dalam proses pembalajaran. Maka seorang calon pendidik perlu memiliki keterampilan dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran. Model pembelajaran yang dapat diterapkan salah satunya untuk mengasah keterampilan peserta didik dalam membuat media pembelajaran adalah dengan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian PTK. PTK dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi, lembar kerja kelompok, tes untuk mengukur kemampuan pemahaman, catatan lapang, dan rubrik penilaian kualitas media pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa memiliki pemahaman yang bagus terkait media pembelajaran dan kualitas media pembelajaran hasil buatan mahasiswa juga bagus dengan penerapan model pembelajaran ini. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran berbasis proyek dapat meningkatkan pemahaman dan kualitas media pembelajaran buatan mahasiswa.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus merupakan penyakit metabolik yang ditandai kenaikan kadar gula darah atau hiperglikemia yang terjadi karena kelainan sekresi insulin atau kerja insulin. Alloxan menginduksi diabetes dengan merusak sel pankreas dan mengawali terjadinya hiperglikemia. Salah satu tumbuhan yang memiliki potensi obat dalam penurunan glukosa darah adalah daun Tithonia diversifolia yang mengandung senyawa flavonoid dan seskuiterpen. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah (1) menganalisis efek ekstrak daun kembang bulan terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus wistar; dan (2) menentukan pemberian ekstrak daun kembang bulan yang memiliki pengaruh efektif dalam penurunan kadar glukosa darah tikus wistar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimental yang sesungguhnya secara in vivo yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah True Experimental-Post Test Only Control Group Design mengacu pada Sambrook & Russel. Sampel yang digunakan adalah tikus wistar sebanyak 25 ekor yang terbagi dalam 5 kelompok perlakuan dan 5 kali pengulangan yaitu P1 (kontrol negatif), P2 (kontrol positif), P3 (dosis 1,28 ml/200g BB), P4 (dosis2,57 ml/200g BB), dan P5 (dosis 5,14 ml/200g BB). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah One-way ANOVA dilanjutkan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada efek ekstrak daun kembang bulan terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus wistar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa daun kembang bulan memiliki efek antidiabetes atau berperan sebagai antihiperglikemik pada pemberian dosis sebesar 5,14 ml/200g BB dengan rata-rata 136,8 mg/dl.

Abstract

The focus of learning design and learning innovations for the twenty-first century is preparing students with communication skills. Students must have communication skills to effectively transfer scientific knowledge, processes, knowledge, insights, and other important data. This study aimed to determine the profile of communication skills possessed by pre-service biology teachers at IAIN Ternate. This is a quantitative descriptive study involving 65 students from the Tadris Biology Department at IAIN Ternate. The research was conducted during the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. Observation sheets of verbal and nonverbal communication were used to collect data. The technique for collecting data is direct observation (experience) of the learning process and interactive class discussion in the target classroom. The results indicated that pre-service biology teachers' verbal and nonverbal communication abilities were extremely deficient. These findings provide educators with an overview of effective learning approaches for training students to be independent and proficient in 21st-century skills

Abstract

The corona virus outbreak has an impact on learning activities. Indonesia establishes online or online learning so that learning activities continue and are safe. Assessment and evaluation must continue to be carried out. One way of assessing authenticity can be using Two Tier Multiple Choice (TTMC). This study aimed to analyze the ability to understand the concept of Biology education students through Two-Tier Multiple Choice in online assessment. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted for one semester. The research subjects were semester 3 students who program and attend lectures on Media and Learning Resources at the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP-UMM. The academic year 2020/2021. The number of students is 85 people. The sampling technique used is the saturation sampling. The data were collected utilizing a multiple-choice test in the form of TTMC. Aspects that are measured include aspects of understanding and analyzing. The qualitative descriptive analysis was conducted to classify the data collection. The result showed that 37.6% of students entered the criteria for learning outcomes under the minimum standard mastery (MSM), 31.7% were according to the MSM standards, and 30.6% were in the criteria above the MSM. In the aspect of understanding (C2), 63.5% of students can answer questions correctly, and 36.5% of students have not answered correctly, in the aspect of analyzing (C4), as many as 41.4% of students can answer questions correctly and 58.6% of students not correct in answering the questions of the total evaluated student population.

Abstract

Students' metacognitive abilities develop from the knowledge they have and the management of that knowledge. Knowledge management will lead to students' strategies and skills in solving problems and higher-order thinking skills. The students' metacognitive skills play a major role in activities involving cognitive abilities such as understanding, communicating, paying attention, remembering, and solving problems. This research was aimed to find out the metacognitive skill of 7th grade students of Junior High School 23 Malang after applying Li-Pro-GP (literasi berbasis proyek terintegrasi GLS dan PPK: Li-Pro-GP) Learning Design. This is a descriptive qualitative research. It takes time from August to October 2021. This research was carried out at Junior High School 23 Malang. The population were 7th grade students and the sample were students of class VII.2 and VII.4. The research procedures included; 1) compiling MAI questionnaires to measure metacognitive ability in the form of short questions using likert scale (1-4), 2) giving students an instrument via Google Form before and after giving the Li-Pro-GP learning model. The instrument used to collect data was MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) from Schraw and Dennison. The method used to collect data is giving questionnaires to students. Data analysis technique was using Independent T test. The results of this study indicated that students' metacognitive abilities increased after the implementation of Li-Pro-GP learning model (sig 0.000 < 0.05). Apart from the research results obtained, further research can apply Li-Pro-GP model to teach other materials.

Abstract

This study aims to explore and identify the medicinal plants used by the Uyelewun local community. It encompasses plant species, multi-aspect utilization, processing methods and how to use, and their medical benefits to heal diseases. This descriptive exploratory study was conducted in May 2019 in six villages, namely Panama Village, Meluwiting Village, Loyobohor Village, Leudanung Village, Balauring Village, and Wairiang Village. These six villages were categorized into three groups: 1) modern village, 2) developing village, and 3) traditional village. Seventy-eight respondents, comprising local villagers, traditional healers, and adat leaders/elders, were selected using purposive and snowball sampling techniques. This study was performed in four stages, viz. 1) survey of research locations and selection of respondents, 2) semi-structured interviews, 3) plant documentation, and 4) plant inventory. The data obtained were then analyzed descriptively using percentages, averages, and content analysis. The results showed that 1) the local community used 82 plant species from 40 families as medicinal plants; 2) the traditional villages had the highest number of medicinal plants (43%), and the modern villages had the highest number of plant species (64%); 3) most plant habit was trees (43%); 4) the majority of plant was from uncultivated/wild plant (55%), obtained mostly from the surrounding environment (55%) and rarely from the beach (2%); and 5) the most consumed part of the medicinal plants was fruits (70%).

Abstract

Media and teaching materials that suit learning needs can improve the quality of learning. The research aims to describe the use of media and teaching materials in science learning. The type of research is a survey. Research in June-September 2023 at Middle Schools in the Greater Malang Region. The research population was junior high school students and teachers in the Greater Malang area. The research sample was 584 students and 18 teachers. The data collection technique uses a media and learning material needs analysis questionnaire. The research instrument is a needs analysis questionnaire sheet. Data was analyzed descriptively, quantitatively, and qualitatively. The research results show that the media and teaching materials used by teachers are quite good, but teachers rarely use a variety of media and teaching materials. The learning media that teachers often use are learning videos and the teaching materials that are often used are textbooks. Science learning still requires supporting media and teaching materials, one of which is expected to be an e-module
