Abstract

The integration of technology in early childhood education has garnered significant attention worldwide. In 2021, Indonesia embarked on an ambitious journey to incorporate technology-enabled learning into its educational framework. This study retrospectively examines the socioeconomic disparities that emerged from this endeavor. Through extensive data analysis and assessments, it was observed that the introduction of technology in early childhood education had a mixed impact on the educational outcomes of children from various socioeconomic backgrounds. While children from affluent families exhibited enhanced digital literacy and cognitive development, those from economically disadvantaged households encountered disparities in access to technology and resources. The digital divide became more pronounced, leading to disparities in academic achievement. Furthermore, it was found that educators and policymakers encountered significant challenges in adapting the curriculum to address these disparities. The study also highlights the importance of addressing issues related to infrastructure and equity in technology access in early childhood education, ensuring that all children have an equal opportunity to thrive. These findings emphasize the necessity for a more inclusive and equitable approach to integrating technology in early childhood education, aiming to bridge the socioeconomic gaps and provide a level playing field for all children, thereby fostering a more equitable and promising educational landscape in Indonesia.

Abstract

Adara Bakery and Cake is one of micro small and medium enterprises that focus on bread production. The problem faced by Adara Bakery and Cake is an excess of products due to a production system that uses a continuous process method, which means that bread is produced continuously without considering the products sold. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal production quantity for the 8 most popular types of bread to be produced by Adara Bakery and Cake, as well as to identify the expected profits when production is at the optimal level. This study discusses the optimal production of the 8 most popular types of bread, namely chocolate brownies, pineapple roll cake, chocolate-topped bread, chocolate banana, black forest cake, slice cake, peanut pie, and dessert, using the newsboy problem method. Based on the research results, the optimal production quantity for chocolate brownies is 141 boxes, for pineapple roll cake is 191 boxes, for chocolate bread is 351 packages, for chocolate banana bread is 335 packages, for Black Forest cake is 237 boxes, for slice cake is 239 pieces, for peanut pie is 1, 779 pieces, and for desserts is 159 pieces. The expected profit for chocolate brownies is Rp 1,252,000, for pineapple roll cake is Rp 1,494,900, chocolate bread is Rp 595, 800, chocolate banana is Rp 532,000, Black Forest cake is Rp 3,890,000, sliced cake is Rp 535,500, peanut pie is Rp 2,538,200, and dessert is Rp 1,141,000.

Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play a vital role in regional economic development, but most MSMEs still face challenges in managing business information, promoting products, and providing customer service that is not yet digitally integrated. This study aims to develop and evaluate a web-based MSME information system to support operational efficiency and market access for MSMEs in Sidenreng Rappang Regency. The study uses a Research and Development approach with a Waterfall model, including the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. System evaluation is conducted through functional testing using the black-box testing method and user perception evaluation using a 5-point Likert-scale questionnaire. The research respondents were 30 users, consisting of MSMEs and the general public, who are potential users of the system. The research instrument covers five assessment dimensions, namely ease of use, information quality, interface display, service speed, and digital marketing support. The results of the black-box test indicate that all main features of the system function with 100% success. The results of the instrument reliability test show a Cronbach's alpha of 0.892, indicating good reliability. The results of the quantitative analysis show that the overall average user perception score is 4.36 on a scale of 5.00, which falls in the very good category. In detail, the ease of use dimension obtained a score of 4.41, information quality 4.39, interface display 4.31, service speed 4.22, and digital marketing support 4.47. The results of the study indicate that the developed system is feasible to use and can support operational efficiency and expand market access for MSMEs. The contribution of this study is a development and evaluation model for a web-based MSME information system that can serve as a reference for regional MSME digitalisation programs.

Abstract

PT.

Abstract

Ganda Bakery is a legendary food business that has been operating since 1979, located at Jl. Kartini No. 21, Pematangsiantar, North Sumatra. The main issue lies in one of its flagship products, the jumbo bread filled with srikaya, which still uses basic packaging made of paper and rubber bands, without any brand identity or appealing design. This has led to consumer complaints, especially from tourists, as the packaging is considered unattractive, non-functional, and impractical for use as a long-distance food souvenir. This study aims to design new packaging that reflects consumer preferences using the Kansei Engineering approach and the Kano Model. An initial questionnaire was distributed to 96 respondents, with 77.1% stating that the current packaging is neither attractive nor functional. The analysis generated 190 Kansei words, which were refined into 15 core descriptors, including durable, eye-catching, innovative, strong identity, and informative. These were then analyzed through validity, reliability, and factor analysis. The Kano Model results indicated that attributes such as informative, high-quality materials, shape that matches the contents, clear text, visual appeal, durability, ease of use, and illustration belong to the One-Dimensional category. Meanwhile, attributes like innovative, strong identity, and colourful packaging fall under the Attractive category, while varied typography and unique design are categorized as Indifferent. The best design, scoring 4.31, features a gable box measuring 26 × 10 × 16 cm, which is ergonomic and practical, made from thick art carton with a protective layer, in bright yellow and dark brown, and includes complete, easy-to-read product information.
