Abstract

Generation Z pre-service STEM teachers, recognized as digital natives, possess strong potential to adopt Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) in educational contexts and advance its meaningful integration. Accordingly, this study aims to validate an instrument designed to measure their acceptance of and use of GAI. A quantitative cross-sectional survey was administered to 401 pre-service STEM teachers using a UTAUT2–TPB–based instrument. Data were collected via Google Forms and analyzed using Rasch modeling (Winsteps 3.7.3). The results confirm that the instrument possesses strong psychometric properties under the Rasch model. Analysis demonstrated high person (0.94) and item (0.97) reliabilities, well-defined separation indices, and acceptable item fit values, indicating that the scale effectively differentiates respondents and maintains stability across items. The unidimensionality test further supported that the instrument measures a single, coherent construct, reinforcing its internal structural integrity. Overall, these findings verify that the instrument is valid and reliable for assessing GAI acceptance and use among pre-service STEM teachers. The study offers both theoretical and practical contributions by providing a rigorously tested measurement tool to evaluate readiness for GAI adoption and integration in teacher education.

Abstract

Background: Despite telemedicine being a significant instrument for mental health management, psychological and social factors such as stigma and lack of desire frequently hinder patient engagement.  Although psychological methods demonstrate potential in addressing these disorders, comprehensive evidence remains limited as of May 2025.   Purpose: To delineate psychosocial strategies in telehealth that enhance patient engagement with mental health disorders, evaluate their impact, and identify challenges and research gaps. Method: This work employs a scoping review and article selection methodology in accordance with the PRISMA-ScR criteria, utilizing a literature search. Boolean approaches were employed to search PubMed, Scopus, PsycINFO, IEEE Xplore, and Web of Science from 2015 to 2025. The inclusion criteria consist of studies on psychosocial therapies for adult individuals with mental health disorders. Ten actual papers from an anticipated forty served as the foundation for thematic analysis of the material. Results: User-friendly interfaces, empathy-driven chatbots, gamification, AI personalization, motivational reminders, and virtual communities contribute to enhanced therapy adherence (15–30%), increased session frequency (20–30%), elevated patient satisfaction (75–88%), and reduced service dropout (10–15%). The challenges encompass inadequate digital literacy, technological costs, data privacy concerns, cultural resistance, and insufficient infrastructure. Research gaps encompass the lack of studies on vulnerable populations, long-term effects, cultural differences, and significant disruptions. Conclusion: The psychosocial approach in telehealth effectively enhances patient engagement by addressing emotional, cognitive, and social needs, hence fostering community health empowerment. However, to optimize its efficacy, one must address implementation challenges and research gaps. Keywords: Psychosocial Approach; Patient Engagement; Telehealth.

Abstract

Background: The increasing incidence of cancer means that more people are living with cancer, which increases the responsibility of informal caregivers. Most caregivers are not prepared to fulfil their duties when taking on responsibility for the treatment and care of patients, which can become a burden on caregivers and affect the care of cancer patients. Purpose: To conduct a literature review that assesses the effects of e-health interventions on the burden of informal caregivers. Method: The research method was a literature review using a scoping review approach. The scoping review used inclusion criteria for articles published between 2020 and 2025, using a randomized control trial and experimental study design, and published in English. Article selection used the PRISMA Flow Diagram. The databases used were PubMed and EBSCO. Proquest and engine search Google Scholar. Results: The results of this literature search found 16,690 articles on e-health. However, only 18 articles met the inclusion criteria. Ten articles were complete but did not focus on the benefits of e-health on caregiver burden. Thus, only five articles met the inclusion criteria. Four e-health interventions were found to have an effect on reducing caregiver burden, such as stress, in family caregivers. Conclusion: These findings indicate that e-health interventions have beneficial effects for informal caregivers of cancer patients in long-term care. Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education is transforming learning processes and requires students to develop adequate AI literacy to effectively engage with AI-mediated learning environments. However, limited research has examined how AI literacy contributes to the development of higher-order thinking skills through student engagement mechanisms. This study aims to investigate the role of AI literacy in enhancing critical thinking and logical reasoning, with multidimensional student engagement behavioral, cognitive, and social engagement as mediating variables. A quantitative research design was employed using a structural equation modeling (SEM) approach to analyze the relationships among the proposed constructs. The findings reveal that AI literacy significantly influences students’ behavioral, cognitive, and social engagement in learning activities. Furthermore, the three dimensions of engagement significantly contribute to the development of higher-order thinking skills, with cognitive engagement showing the strongest effect. The results also indicate that AI literacy has a direct and significant impact on both critical thinking and logical reasoning. These findings suggest that AI literacy functions as an enabling capability that supports deeper learning processes through increased student engagement. This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence of the mechanism through which AI literacy promotes higher-order thinking in AI-supported educational environments and highlights the importance of integrating AI literacy development into higher education curricula.

Abstract

Introduction: Many students experience academic stress during their learning process, which can negatively impact their academic performance. One effective way to manage this stress is by improving self-regulated learning (SRL). Students with high levels of SRL are better equipped to manage their learning, leading to improved academic achievement. Objective: This study aims to describe the levels of self-regulated learning among nursing students. Methods: A quantitative descriptive design was used in this study. The sample was selected using a convenience sampling technique, and data were collected using the Self-Regulated in Online Learning Questionnaire (SOL-Q). The data were analyzed using univariate descriptive analysis and presented in tables. The sample consisted of 210 nursing students. Results: The demographic characteristics of the participants showed that the majority were female (54.1%) and aged between 17-19 years (57.4%). The findings revealed that 60% (126 students) demonstrated low self-regulation in their learning, suggesting that many students face challenges in managing their academic responsibilities. Efforts to overcome these problems require collaboration between institutions and health workers to improve Self-regulated learning for nursing students. Conclusion: Self-regulated learning is important to improve the effective learning process in students.

Abstract

Abstract

This study analyzes the effectiveness of digital marketing in improving the sales performance of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the East Kalimantan MSME Gallery in Balikpapan. A mixed-method approach is employed, combining quantitative and qualitative analyses. The sample consists of 30 MSMEs, divided equally into 15 digital-based and 15 non-digital businesses, selected through purposive sampling. Quantitative data are analyzed using simple linear regression with Stata software, while qualitative insights are used to enrich the interpretation of the findings. The results indicate that digital marketing effectiveness has a positive and statistically significant impact on MSME sales performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.729 and an R² value of 0.8042, meaning that 80.42% of the variation in sales performance is explained by digital marketing effectiveness. Qualitative findings further reveal that MSMEs adopting digital platforms benefit from broader market access, increased customer reach, and stronger brand recognition. Overall, the study concludes that digital marketing plays a vital role in enhancing MSME competitiveness and supporting sustainable regional economic growth.

Abstract

Schizophrenia is a psychological disorder characterized by fragmented thinking, perception, and cognitive function. One common symptom that often appears in schizophrenia patients is delusion. Delusion is a condition where the sufferer cannot distinguish real events from events that occur in their mind. Treatment of delusions can be done through non-pharmacological therapies such as card playing therapy and journaling. This study aims to evaluate the application of card playing and journaling interventions as non-pharmacological interventions in training reality orientation in delusions and improving the social functioning of schizophrenia patients. The research method used is a clinical case report conducted from May 29, 2025 - June 5, 2025, with the subject of a 21-year-old man with a medical diagnosis of schizophrenia. The intervention was carried out over four consecutive meetings with a duration of 15-30 minutes, using card games to match colors and numbers, followed by journaling activities as self-reflection. The evaluation results showed a decrease in the intensity of grandiose delusions characterized by increased concentration during activities and an increase in the patient's ability to control behavior and speak more in accordance with reality. Card-playing interventions help patients practice concentration and following rules, while journaling helps identify unrealistic thoughts and transform them into more rational statements. While complete recovery is not yet achieved, these interventions can have a positive therapeutic impact on patients when combined with pharmacological interventions and other supportive factors.
