Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the implementation of management strategies in the Broadcast and Filmmaking Skills Program at SMK Negeri 1 Kendal to improve graduate competency. The research emphasizes four core management functions: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, along with evaluation processes that enhance graduate readiness for employment, higher education, and entrepreneurship. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to explore the lived experiences and subjective perspectives of key stakeholders involved in managing the program. Participants included the principal, vice principals, head of the skills program, productive subject teachers, students, alumni, and industry partners (DUDIKA). Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. Analysis followed the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing with ongoing verification. The findings reveal that management implementation in the Broadcast and Filmmaking Skills Program is adaptive and context-responsive, aiming to achieve productivity, stakeholder satisfaction, and sustainable graduate pathways. Participatory planning engages school stakeholders and industry partners to address limited employment opportunities and diverse student potential by strengthening entrepreneurial orientation and curriculum relevance. Organizing is carried out through clear team structures, systematic task distribution, and a semi-block scheduling system, while strong industry collaboration ensures alignment between competencies and labor market demands. Actuating is implemented through deep learning and project-based learning approaches that develop both technical and interpersonal skills. Controlling is conducted systematically through tiered supervision, digital monitoring systems, and innovative student manager roles, supporting continuous quality improvement and graduate competitiveness.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of industrial class partnership management in enhancing students’ competence and employability at Muhammadiyah 3 Weleri Vocational School, Kendal Regency, Indonesia. The research focuses on the Motorcycle Engineering and Business program, which collaborates with PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) through an industrial class scheme. A qualitative phenomenological approach was employed to explore managerial practices based on planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation functions. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the principal, vice principal for curriculum, head of expertise competency, and productive teachers, supported by documentation analysis and triangulation techniques to ensure data validity. The findings reveal that the partnership is systematically planned through curriculum synchronization, teacher upskilling, structured industrial internships, and competency-based assessment aligned with industry standards. Organizational management is carried out collaboratively between school leadership and the technical department, with clear role distribution and direct coordination with industry representatives. Implementation of the partnership includes teaching factory activities, industry-standard facilities, continuous professional development for teachers, and active student participation in national skill competitions. Evaluation is conducted regularly through industry supervision, competency testing, and performance reporting systems. The results indicate that effective industrial class partnership management significantly improves students’ technical competence, work readiness, and employment absorption, while also strengthening the school’s institutional reputation. This study highlights the importance of sustainable school–industry collaboration as a strategic model for improving vocational education quality.

Abstract

Teacher performance is a crucial indicator in improving the quality of primary education. The 2025 Education Report data show that 34.48% of public elementary schools in Brati District fall into the low category in the learning quality dimension. Supervision reports also indicate that 53% of teachers have incomplete learning administration and 65% have not implemented varied teaching methods. These conditions are presumably related to suboptimal principal leadership, particularly in supervision, innovation, and motivation functions. This study aims to analyze the effect of principal leadership on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Brati District, Grobogan Regency. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of elementary school teachers in Brati District, with samples selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected using validated and reliable questionnaires and analyzed using simple linear regression. The results indicate that principal leadership has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The more effective the principal’s leadership, the higher the teacher performance. This study emphasizes the strategic role of principals as supervisors, motivators, and innovators in improving teacher performance. Abstract

The quality of learning in public elementary schools in Ungaran Timur District has not yet reached optimal and equitable levels, as reflected in disparities in achievement among schools and the relatively low levels of organizational behavior, personality competence, and teachers’ adaptability in supporting effective learning. This study aims to analyze the influence of organizational behavior, personality competence, and teacher adaptability on learning quality in public elementary schools in Ungaran Timur District, Semarang Regency, both partially and simultaneously. This research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The population consisted of 235 teachers, with a sample of 148 teachers selected using proportional random sampling. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using classical assumption tests, as well as simple and multiple linear regression analyses. The results indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on learning quality. Partially, organizational behavior contributes 50.90%, personality competence 36.10%, and teacher adaptability 34.3%. Simultaneously, these variables contribute 69% to learning quality. These findings confirm that improving learning quality is inseparable from the support of a conducive organizational environment, strong teacher personalities, and the ability to adapt to the dynamics of educational change, including the implementation of the Independent Curriculum. In this context, learning quality is reflected through several key dimensions: classroom management, learning methods, and psychological support. The novelty of this research lies in the comprehensive integration of organizational environmental factors, teacher personality, and adaptability to educational change in improving learning quality. This research does not only highlight aspects of teacher leadership or technical competence in isolation, but also combines these with the implementation dimensions of the Independent Curriculum, which is still relatively new in the context of Indonesian education.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of the roles of school supervisors and principals on the quality of public elementary schools in Rembang District, Rembang Regency. Using a quantitative correlational approach, data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire distributed to 188 teachers from 45 public elementary schools. The research focuses on three main variables: school quality (dependent), the role of school supervisors, and the role of principals (independent). The results indicate that both school supervisors and principals have a statistically significant influence on school quality, both partially and simultaneously. However, the direction of influence is negative, suggesting that increased perception of their roles tends to appear in schools experiencing lower performance. Factor analysis reveals that managerial supervision by supervisors and the supervisory role of principals are the most dominant dimensions perceived by teachers. The novelty of this study lies in its finding that strong perceived leadership roles do not always correlate positively with school quality, especially when such roles are implemented as responses to existing problems. The study is limited by its use of perception-based data and cross-sectional design. Future research is recommended to adopt mixed methods, include objective school quality indicators, and use longitudinal data for broader and deeper insights

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of transformational leadership, school culture, and job satisfaction on teacher performance in public elementary schools in Temanggung District. Employing a quantitative research approach with a survey method, data were collected from 152 teachers using validated questionnaires and analyzed with multiple regression techniques. The findings reveal that transformational leadership contributes the highest impact on teacher performance (48.7%), followed by job satisfaction (38.7%) and school culture (37.4%). Simultaneously, these three variables account for 61.6% of the variance in teacher performance, indicating that the combination of effective leadership, positive school culture, and high job satisfaction significantly enhances teacher performance. The novelty of this research lies in its integrative model that simultaneously examines the roles of leadership, organizational culture, and job satisfaction in the context of Indonesian elementary education, particularly in Temanggung. However, this study is limited to a single district and focuses only on three independent variables. Future research should expand the scope to other regions and incorporate additional variables such as pedagogical competence, intrinsic motivation, and organizational commitment, possibly employing a mixed-methods approach. These extensions will provide deeper insights and more comprehensive recommendations for improving teacher performance and educational quality.
