Abstract

The college environment no longer solely concentrates on reviving efforts to treat and prevent sexual violence, but also promotes prevention as a preventive strategy through sexual education, which teaches students to maximize bystanders and cultivate prosocial attitudes. The research aims to examine the effectiveness of the sexual education (X) model at the Indonesian Educational University, the Bandung Institute of Technology, and Padjajaran University in enhancing the role of the behavior bystander (Y1) and encouraging the prosocial (Y2) attitude of students when faced with sexual violence. The research employed a quantitative approach, distributing the lift among 108 active students from the three universities. To ensure proportional representation, stratified random sampling divides students by university origin and then selects random samples from each layer of students who have received sexual education on campus. Additionally, we conducted interviews with the Prevention and Treatment Unit of Sexual Violence to gather information about the implemented model of sexual education. The research findings demonstrated the effectiveness of the university-implemented sexual education model, which enhanced bystander roles by 52.5% and prosocial attitudes by 51.9%. We regard the role of bystanders and prosocial attitudes in an incident of sexual violence as a holistic solution to sexual violence prevention, as they protect victims and prevent further sexual violence.

Abstract

Social science learning through the use of local wisdom values is an effort to instil a sense of concern for others, broaden knowledge about the nation's culture, and is part of an effort to minimize the negative impacts of globalization which cannot be avoided. his study aims to explore the traditions of indigenous communities as teaching materials for high school social studies in the Kasepuhan Adat Cibadak village - Lebak. This study uses a qualitative method and a phenomenological approach. The participants of this study are traditional leaders (Kasepuhan) and members of the indigenous people who live in Kasepuhan Adat Cibadak. The data were obtained from interview, observation and documentation. Based on the results of the data findings, the study reveals that there are well-maintained traditions in this area such as Kabendon, Sedekah Bumi, Ujungan, Mapag pare nyiram, and pantangan. These traditions of indigenous people in Kasepuhan adat Cibadak Warungbanten can be used as materials or sources of social science learning. Therefore, Social Science teachers should think creatively in presenting teaching materials for Social Science subjects at schools.

Abstract

Pedophilia is a part of child abuse that tends to occur in children surrounding environment. Pedophiles are not only about trauma but create a sexual predator cycle when the victims are not managed properly. This study aimed to analyze the fear of crime and post-traumatic stress disorder treatment in pedophilia cases in Indonesia. As qualitative research, data was obtained using observation and interview activities for one year continuously for each area of interest. This study was held in three regions in Java, Indonesia, which were specific locations of the victims’ residence in Sudajaya Hilir (Sukabumi City, West Java), Cintanagara (Garut Regency, West Java), and Sukamanah (Tangerang Regency, Banten). This study showed that fear of crime from the victims' parents and families is still low. It can be seen from those who tend to give full trust to the suspects because closely and consider like good people. In Garut and Sukabumi's cases, inappropriate post-traumatic disorder treatment caused the victims to transform into sexual predators. Pedophilia made the fear of crime in society, where the suspects have similar images as good and undangerous people for children. Not ideal post-traumatic stress disorder treatment is proven to cause the sexual predator cycle.

Abstract

Fenomena perundungan siber di media sosial saat ini masih marak ditemukan. Seiring dengan bertambahnya pengguna media sosial, bertambah pula perundungan siber di media sosial. Salah satu pengguna yang beresiko menjadi korban perundungan siber yaitu influencer skincare sebagai pengguna yang aktif menunjukkan diri di media sosial. Komentar yang ditemukan sebagai komentar perundungan bukan hanya yang bersifat secara langsung namun terdapat juga yang berbentuk halus dan sulit dikenali. Komentar tersebut dapat kita sebut sebagai komentar ironi mengacu pada gaya bahasa sindiran yang dikemukakan oleh Groys Keraf. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui karakteristik dan pemaknaan kalimat ironi dalam komentar perundungan terhadap influencer skincare di platform Tiktok. Untuk menjawab tujuan penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, dokumentasi dan analisis wacana. Berdasarkan penelitian yang dilakukan terhadap akun influencer skincare @ratu.ghania, ditemukannya 35 komentar ironi pada 21 video yang diunggah mulai dari pertengahan tahun 2024 hingga Juli 2025. Komentar yang ditemukan sesuai dengan sifat dari gaya bahasa ironi dan mayoritas berbentuk sindiran halus terhadap influencer skincare tersebut. Kemudian komentar yang ditemukan mengarah pada kondisi fisik influencer tersebut terutama pada kondisi kulit wajahnya. Selain itu, komentar yang ditemukan juga mengarah pada ketidaksetujuan hasil ulasan produk yang dipromosikan namun berkaitan pula dengan kondisi kulitnya. Contoh komentar perundungan berbentuk kalimat ironi yang ditemukan yaitu seperti “perasaan ga ilang-ilang tuh jerawat” yang memiliki maksud untuk menyatakan secara halus bahwa wajah korban tetap saja berjerawat dan “jerawatan aja ttp cantik” kalimat tersebut terlihat seperti pujian namun diiringi dengan diksi bermakna negatif.

Abstract

Program Indonesia Pintar (PIP) ditujukan untuk membantu siswa kurang mampu agar tetap bersekolah. Namun, di lingkungan sekolah menengah negeri, muncul pergeseran gaya hidup di kalangan penerima PIP yang ditandai dengan konsumsi simbolik dan eksistensi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji perubahan tersebut dan menilai kesesuaiannya dengan tujuan awal program. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan studi dokumentasi pada siswa penerima PIP di SMA Negeri 1 Pabedilan Kabupaten Cirebon. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sebagian siswa penerima PIP cenderung menggunakan dana beasiswa untuk memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi simbolik, seperti membeli gadget mahal, mengikuti tren fashion, dan membangun eksistensi di media sosial. Pergeseran ini tidak terlepas dari pengaruh peer group, tekanan lingkungan sekolah, serta minimnya pengawasan penggunaan dana beasiswa. Fenomena tersebut menimbulkan risilo bias sosial dan kecemburuan di lingkungan sekolah, serta mengaburkan tujuan utama program PIP sebagai bantuan pendidikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya penguatan literasi keuangan, pembinaan nilai hidup sederhana, dan peningkatan pengawasan agar dana beasiswa benar-benar digunakan sesuai kebutuhan pendidikan dan tidak sekedar menjadi alat reproduksi gaya hidup konsumtif.

Abstract

Environmental education faces critical challenges in developing student environmental awareness and social concern, particularly regarding plastic waste management. This study examined the effectiveness of integrating the Campaign Reuse program from Masihan.id NGO as a Social Studies learning resource for enhancing social concern among seventh-grade students. A quasi-experimental design with non-equivalent control groups was employed at Mutiara 1 Bandung Junior High School during the 2024/2025 academic year. Participants included 47 seventh-grade students: 24 in the control group receiving conventional instruction and 23 in the experimental group experiencing Campaign Reuse program integration. Social concern was measured using a validated questionnaire (Cronbach's α = 0.878) administered pre- and post-intervention. Data analysis utilized independent-samples and paired-samples t-tests. The experimental group demonstrated significantly greater improvement in social concern scores (30.87-point increase) compared to the control group (8.54-point increase). Independent-samples t-test revealed statistically significant differences between groups (t = -8.077, p < .001), with a mean difference of 24.58 points favoring the experimental condition. Results support the effectiveness of community-based environmental education approaches integrated within formal curricula. The Campaign Reuse program successfully enhanced students' cognitive awareness, affective empathy, and conative behavioral intentions through experiential learning that combined theoretical knowledge with authentic environmental action. Findings validate school-community partnership models for character education development and support educational policies emphasizing experiential learning approaches within the Indonesian Merdeka Curriculum framework.
