Abstract

Liquid dishwashing soap is a liquid solution that contains surfactants that function to remove dirt, grease, and food residue from the surface of eating utensils such as plates, glasses, etc. The need for liquid dishwashing soap is increasing because it is easier to use, cleaner, and more hygienic. Currently, many basic ingredients for making liquid dishwashing soap are sold on the market, so people can make their own so that it is more economical and easier to obtain. This activity aims to improve the entrepreneurial spirit of vocational school students so that they can produce dishwashing soap products and market them through schools so that they can produce independent students after completing their schooling at vocational school by selling the liquid dishwashing soap products to the market or surrounding housewives. The training method for making dish soap products is the Production Based Training (PBT) method, a learning model that emphasizes direct practice and production. In this training, students will use materials and work tools in a simulated environment. This method is also carried out using theory classes, practical demonstrations, and guided exercises. In this training, liquid dishwashing soap was directly made using the necessary ingredients such as Texapon, Email Needle, Natrium Chloride (NaCl), Anti-Bacterial, Perfume Seeds, liquid/powder dye, and Mineral Water. This training process produces approximately 20 liters of liquid dishwashing soap. Apart from that, this dishwashing soap also has quite a large economic value so it can be a solution to improve the community's economy at a lower price compared to the price of factory production which is already sold on the market. This training can provide enthusiasm and stimulate entrepreneurship to vocational high school students.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the impact of participatory training on enhancing the psychological well-being and technical skills of Micro, Small, And Medium Enterprise (MSME) artisans in Tangkahan’s ecotourism sector. Fifty MSME participants, who had previously attended training sessions organized by government agencies and universities, were selected as respondents. The study employed observation and statistical analysis, specifically paired samples t-tests, to evaluate changes in knowledge and skills before and after the training. The results revealed a significant improvement in both the well-being and performance of participants, with t-values exceeding the t-table and significance values (p) below 0.05. Additionally, Structural Equation Modeling with Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) was utilized to analyze the interrelationships between variables and test the hypotheses. This approach provided a robust framework for evaluating the direct and indirect effects among the factors, enhancing the validity and depth of the findings. These findings highlight that participatory training improves the psychological well-being and technical skills of handicraft MSME actors in managing their businesses. This study also reveals that psychological well-being has a significant direct impact on technical skills and competitiveness. Additionally, technical skills directly influence competitiveness, while psychological well-being indirectly affects competitiveness through the mediation of technical skills. This study advocates for a holistic training approach that not only focuses on technical skill enhancement but also prioritizes psychological well-being to enhancing competitiveness. The success of MSMEs depend not only on technical skills but also on the psychological well-being such as job satisfaction, stress management, mental health, motivation and positive emotion of the workforce. By adopting this comprehensive strategy, future training programs can drive long-term improvements in both individual well-being and business performance, ensuring the resilience and competitiveness of MSMEs in Tangkahan’s ecotourism sector.

Abstract

The urgency of this study stems from the multitude of leadership styles that have emerged over the last five years, leaving us uncertain about the most appropriate style to implement in oil palm plantation companies, particularly PT Perkebunan Nusantara III. The problem in this study is that manager performance and leadership vary greatly; some are highly influential and some have no influence. One way to improve manager performance is to apply leadership with heart. Therefore, there needs to be a study on the influence of leadership style with the heart on the performance of oil palm company managers. The anticipated findings aim to determine whether the heart leadership model has a significant impact on manager performance. The targeted output is the mandatory output of a reputable international journal, Scopus Q3, published in the Journal of Leadership Studies, SJR value 0.29, ISSN 1935-262X, and additional outputs of monograph books, international proceedings, and book rights. As for the technology readiness level, this study is included in the category of technology readiness level 1 with a target of technology readiness level 3, namely the formulation of the concept of the heart leadership model on manager performance.

Abstract

This study aims to identify students' entrepreneurial intentions at universities in Medan City. This research was conducted due to the issue of unemployment caused by the skill competencies of agribusiness graduates, the generally low interest among students in creating job opportunities, and the declining enthusiasm for entrepreneurship in the agricultural sector. This study employed a survey method with a research population consisting of 920 agribusiness students from the Faculty of Agriculture in Medan City, spread across three universities: UMA, UMSU, and USU. The sample for this study consisted of 90 students from the three universities. The results show that students' entrepreneurial intentions, particularly at universities in Medan City, demonstrate a high level of interest; however, there is a need for accelerated learning and hands-on practice in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial intention in Indonesia, especially at universities in Medan City, falls into the high category. The higher the personal values and personalities aligned with entrepreneurship among students, the higher their level of entrepreneurial intention. This indicates that the students' entrepreneurial intentions reflect a positive response toward entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Aceh, as a region with special autonomy, possesses distinctive authority in implementing Islamic law and customary practices, as stipulated in Law No. 11 of 2006 concerning the Government of Aceh. Among these is Hak Langgeh (Syuf’ah), a customary right derived from Islamic legal traditions and constitutionally recognized. However, discrepancies exist between the normative legal framework and its practical implementation, particularly in land transactions. This study aims to examine the legal status of Hak Langgeh within Aceh’s legal system and to analyse the constitutional and institutional role of the Aceh Customary Council (Majelis Adat Aceh/MAA) in protecting and enforcing this right. Employing a juridical-empirical method with descriptive analysis, the research draws on primary data gathered through interviews with traditional leaders, MAA representatives, village (Gampong) authorities, and parties involved in land disputes. The findings indicate that the MAA plays a significant role in promoting indigenous rights, yet its impact is hindered by limited institutional resources and unclear legal mandates. The study concludes that while the MAA has a constitutional basis in strengthening customary norms, its practical role remains constrained. Reinforcing the legal recognition of Hak Langgeh, enhancing the institutional capacity of the MAA, and harmonizing customary law with Islamic Sharia and national legislation are essential for achieving an integrated and constitutionally aligned legal order in Aceh

Abstract

Peanuts are an important food crop with significant economic potential in Rantau Panyang Timur Village, West Aceh Regency, and other regions. Despite its great potential, there are challenges in the utilization and production of peanuts that need to be addressed. Previous research on peanuts has been conducted, but there is a lack of specific studies focusing on the potential, utilization, threats, and success of peanut production in Rantau Panyang Timur Village. This study offers a novel contribution with an in-depth focus on the potential, utilization, threats, and success of peanut production. The research findings indicate that Rantau Panyang Timur Village has good potential for peanut growth, with factors such as suitable climate, fertile soil, and extensive farming experience among farmers. However, there are limitations in the broader utilization of peanuts and product diversification. Peanut production in the village also varies from year to year, influenced by external factors such as unpredictable weather, plant diseases, as well as the limitations in farmers' knowledge and skills. To enhance the growth, utilization, and production of peanuts, efforts are needed to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers, strengthen collaboration between farmers and relevant stakeholders, and enhance access to necessary resources. By addressing the challenges and capitalizing on existing potentials, it is expected that peanut production in Rantau Panyang Timur Village can become more successful and sustainable.

Abstract

Lowland rice farming is the main source of income for farmers in rural Indonesia and plays a strategic role in national food security. However, structural challenges such as high production costs, fluctuations in grain prices, and limited access to modern agricultural technology still limit improvements in farmer welfare. This study aims to analyze the level of income and cost efficiency of lowland rice farming in Tanjung Morawa District, Deli Serdang Regency. Using a quantitative descriptive approach through a case study design, primary data were collected from 46 farmers selected purposively, supported by secondary data from related agencies. Analysis techniques include calculating fixed and variable costs, revenues, and net income, complemented by an analysis of the business efficiency ratio using the Revenue/Cost (R/C) indicator. The results of the study indicate that rice farming in this area provides significant economic benefits with adequate cost efficiency, although labor and production input components are dominant burdens. These findings emphasize the importance of optimizing the allocation of production inputs and utilizing efficient agricultural technology as a strategy to increase farmer income. The main contribution of this study is to provide a relevant empirical basis for regional agricultural policy making and encourage the adoption of a data-based approach in evaluating the economic feasibility of sustainable rice farming.
