Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Electronic Word of Mouth (E-WOM), brand image, and product quality on purchasing decisions of MS Glow products in Batam. In the digital era, E-WOM is a key factor influencing consumer decision-making. Additionally, a strong brand image and guaranteed product quality play a significant role in driving purchasing decisions. A quantitative approach was used with a sample of 100 MS Glow consumers in Batam, selected using Slovin's formula, and data were collected through questionnaires. The analysis was conducted using multiple regression with SPSS 25. The results show that E-WOM (regression coefficient 0.582, t-value 12.544, p < 0.05), brand image (regression coefficient 0.626, t-value 12.214, p < 0.05), and product quality (regression coefficient 0.315, t-value 7.268, p < 0.05) have a significant positive effect on purchasing decisions. These findings suggest enhancing brand image, leveraging E-WOM, and maintaining product quality to boost purchasing decisions

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of exchange rates, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), export value, foreign debt, money supply, and inflation on Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves in the period 2004 to 2024. Given The significance of foreign exchange reserves for the stability of the nation's economy, this study uses multiple regression analysis to identify factors that affect Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. The analysis's findings demonstrate that Indonesia's foreign currency reserves are significantly impacted by all investigated factors at the same time, including the exchange rate, foreign data investment, export value, foreign debt, money supply, and inflation. The coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.97 indicates that 97% of the variation in Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves can be explained by the six independent variables in this regression model. The export value and FDI variables have the most dominant influence, while inflation and foreign debt tend to have a smaller but still significant influence. This study makes a significant contribution to our understanding of the variables affecting Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves and can serve as a guide for policymakers as they develop measures that promote foreign exchange reserve stability, which can bolster Indonesia's economic resilience in the face of international difficulties.

Abstract

The development of Science and Technology (IPTEK), especially information technology, has had a positive impact on all aspects of human life, including education aspect. The teaching and learning process is the core of the whole educational process. The quality of teaching and learning is determined by the teacher and the students themselves as subjects or actors in the process. Therefore, a teacher is required to always improve skills through learning activities/seminars/training related to their competence field. This Community Service Program (CSP) used mentoring methods in its implementation, while the approaches used were classical and individual approach. This CSP activity has succeeded in providing debriefing and training for teachers to install computer networks using the GNS3 software. The training participants in this CSP were teachers of SMKN 1 Suliki, Lima Puluh Kota Regency and SMKN 1 Ampek Angkek, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. To find out the effectiveness of this CSP activity, a questionnaire was used as an assessment instrument. Based on the tabulation results, it was found that this CSP activity obtained an average value of 82.71% in the good category. Even though this activity has obtained good results from CSP participants, consistent efforts are needed to increase the effectiveness of CSP implementation for the next period. Efforts to increase the effectiveness of CSP implementation are also based on several suggestions and input submitted by CSP participants through an effectiveness questionnaire. The suggestions and input submitted by several participants became evaluation material for the CSP implementation team of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Payakumbuh State Agricultural Polytechnic in the future.

Abstract

Fish hatcheries are a significant endeavor in aquaculture with promising economic potential. However, the manual process of counting fish seeds is time-consuming and inefficient. This paper examines a prototype of a fish seed counting device based on a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) that can expedite the counting process. The device is designed using infrared proximity sensors, a DC power window motor, a solenoid valve, and is controlled by a PLC and HMI. The infrared proximity sensor is placed under the fish passageway to detect fish presence. The counting results are displayed on the HMI screen. After counting, the DC motor closes the fish passageway, and the fish in the plastic packaging are automatically tied for oxygen filling. Testing results indicate that this fish seed counting device functions well and can improve the efficiency of the fish seed counting process

Abstract

This research explores the effect of music therapy on the stress levels of medical students at HKBP Nommensen University. With high study loads and academic pressure, medical students often experience significant stress. For this reason, this research adopts a box music therapy (BmT) approach, which combines technology and music to provide a therapeutic experience. In this study, heart rate (BPM) and galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors were used to measure participants' physiological changes before and after music therapy sessions. The measurement results showed a decrease in BPM from 120 before therapy to 100 after, and a decrease in GSR from 588 to 300, indicating a real relaxation effect. A questionnaire filled out by 28 students showed that 65% of respondents agreed that music therapy helped reduce stress, while 30% strongly agreed. Only 5% felt they were not helped, indicating a significant positive impact for the majority of participants. The music chosen in this therapy plays an important role, with song choices that support a calm atmosphere, including classical and pop music. This study confirms that music therapy is an effective strategy for stress management among medical students. Implementing this therapy in an academic environment can improve students' mental health and their quality of life while undergoing intense education. Abstract

Mojokerto, a city in East Java rich in history and culture, has a number of fascinating museums. These museums are silent witnesses to the glory of the past and a window for us to peek into the civilization that has developed in the land of Java. Mojokerto is known for its rich cultural heritage and history, but its potential as a tourist destination is still underutilized due to the lack of quantity and quality of skilled museum guides. With a better visiting experience, organized and informative narratives, it is hoped that more people will be interested in visiting museums in Mojokerto and participating in supporting the preservation of the history and culture of the Indonesian nation. This PKM uses in-depth interviews with 10 museum guides who have undergone training and informant observations of training activities and their implementation in the field. The findings in this PKM activity show a significant increase in guide skills, historical knowledge, and visitor guiding techniques, resulting in a better visitor experience in the museum. This PKM ends with recommendations to improve community service programs aimed at developing local human resources in sustainable heritage tourism. This PKM examines the impact of community service initiatives organized by lecturers at Ciputra University Surabaya, with a focus on museum guide training in Mojokerto, East Java.

Abstract

At present, companies that care about environmental, social, and governance (ESG) are not only companies that are directly related to the environment, such as mining companies, but other companies that are far from being related to the environment are also becoming increasingly concerned about the Environment, Social, and Governance. The sample consists of Indonesian banking companies publicly traded on the Indonesian stock exchange. The overall sample size is 36 organizations, drawn from data spanning the years 2015 to 2022, and examined using Eviews. The goal of this study is to examine the association between variables related to the quality of ongoing reporting and corporate performance in banking businesses listed on the IDX, which are moderated by the Net Interest Margin (NIM) to Earnings Management (EM). The study's findings indicate that SRQ has a negative effect on earnings management (EM), Stock Return (SR) has a negative effect on earnings management (EM), Return on Assets (ROA) has no effect on earnings management (EM), Cost of Operations to Income Operations (BOPO) has a negative effect on earnings management (EM), and the Net Interest Margin (NIM) moderates the effect of Sustainability Reporting Quality (SRQ), Stock Return (SR), Return on Assets (ROA), and earnings management (EM).
