Abstract

One way to know food self-sufficiency through the quality of food consumption diversity as measured by Food Harvest Scale (PPH) scores, hereinafter abbreviated as PPH. PPH can be used as a measure of nutritional balance and food diversity consumed by residents in a region. The maximum PPH score, 100 indicates the diverse food consumption situation and both the composition and quality of nutrition (Baliwati, 2011). In practice, the achievement of food quality and quantity indicator in Bandung Regency has not been achieved. This study aims to determine the size of family, education level, and income level of PPH in Bandung regency. The basic method of this research is the explanatory method (Eksplanatory Research). The determination of Paseh and Pasirjambu sub-districts was conducted by purposive sampling, which is determined by the highest and lowest kecamatan PPH. Furthermore the size of respondents using Slovin techniques. To know the factors that influence the PPH in Bandung regency using multiple regression analysis technique and the test is done by using SPSS 20 program. The result of the research shows that the family size, education level and income level have positive influence on PPH Kabupaten Bandung. This means that the higher the size of the family, the level of education and income level then the higher the PPH in Bandung regency. Keywords: Family size, education level, income level, Food Pattern of Hope (PPH)

Abstract

Soybean is one of food crops in order that become attention from the government because the request of the soybean  as a raw material keep rising throughout the day. Seeing this condition the government introduced a program to increase soybean production. The Jatiwaras Village, Jatiwaras Sub District, Tasikmalaya District become one of the center of soybean development. This study attempts to analyzed levels of prosperity and poverty in soybean farmers at the Village of Jatiwaras. The research uses exchange farmers rate and exchange household income. The results of research to analyses the prosperity of soybean farmers in the Jatiwaras Village using NTP and NTPRP shows that the prosperity of farmers were still low at category value of NTP is 61,18 and value of NTPRP is 0,62 it is because that the income the receive from soybean farming is not able to satisfy the needs of households soybean farmers.

Abstract

Soybean are national main commodities in legumes, but the production of soybean in the last five years has decreased. Based on the state, the government implemented Assistance Program of Soybean to increase production and income of soybean farmers. This research was conducted at Jatiwaras Village, Jatiwaras Sub-District, Tasikmalaya District, West Java Province. The aim of this research are to analyze effectiveness of Assistance Program of Soybean. This research uses quantitative with survey method. The research sample was taken using Slovin theory and determined simple random sampling, so that was obtained 85 farmers. The data obtained comes from primary and secondary data. Data collection uses observation, interview, literature study and the instrument uses questionnaire techniques. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and using the Likert Scale. This research using Gap Analysis to analyze the effectiviness of the program. The result of GAP Analysis shows value -2,7 > -1, which means Program Upsus Kedelai is in category not good so it is still not effective.
