Abstract

Tumbuhan gandarusa yaitu untuk pengobatan. Bagian tanaman yang digunakan adalah daun dan akar baik yang segar ataupun yang telah dikerinbgkan. Daunnya berkhasiat untuk mengatasi batuk, asma, nyeri lambung, rematik sendi, nyeri pinggang (encok), obat pening dan obat untuk haid yang tidak teratur. Kegunaan yang lain untyuk obat luka trpukul (memar), patah tulang, reumatik pada persendian, bisul, borok dan korengan. Tujuan:Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antioksidan ekstrak etanol daun Gandarusa dan untuk mengetahui golongan senyawa dalam daun gandarusa dan juga nilai IC50. Ekstrak didapat dengan cara maserasi menggunakan pelarut etanol 96%. Metode: Ekstrak etanol daun Gandarusa diuji menggunakan metode DPPH (1,1-Diphenyl-2-Picrylhydrazil), dan menggunakan spektrofotometri UV - Visible untuk menentukan panjang gelombangnya. Hasil skrining fitokimia bahwa serbuk simplisia daun Gandarusa mengandung golongan senyawa alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, triterpenoid, dan tannin. Hasil pengujian aktivas antioksidan dalam meredam radikal bebas DPPH menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Gandarusa memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori kuat dimana ekstrak etanol daun Gandarusa memiliki nilai IC50 sebesar 59,46 ppm. Kesimpulan:Hasil pengujian aktivasi antioksidan dalam meredam radikal bebas DPPH menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak etanol daun Gandarusa memiliki aktivitas antioksidan kategori kuat.

Abstract

Jengkol leaf (Archidendron Pauciflorum (Benth.) I.C.Nielsen) contains alkaloids, tannins, saponins, flavonoids, steroids/triterpenoids. The objective of this research was to determine the class of chemical compounds contained in simplisia and jengkol leaf extract as well as the antioxidant activity of jengkol leaf extract. The research stages include the collection and processing of simplicia, the manufacture of extracts by maceration with 96% ethanol solvent. Phytochemical screening of jengkol leaf powders and extracts includes examination of alkaloid compounds, tannins, saponins, flavonoids, and steroids. Examination of the characteristics of simplicia powder. The antioxidant and extract activity test of jengkol leaf extract was carried out using the DPPH method (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrilhydrazyl), where DPPH absorption was measured using a Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 516 nm. The results of phytochemical screening, powders and simplician extracts contain alkaloid compounds, tannins, saponins, flavonoids, steroids / triterpenoids. The results of the examination of the characteristics of simplicia powder obtained a moisture content of 6.66%, a water-soluble juice content of 16.66%, an ethanol soluble juice content of 26.66%, a total ash content of 1.3%, an acid insoluble ash content of 0.42%. The results of measuring the antioxidant activity of jengkol leaf extract showed the strength of the "very strong" category with an IC50 value of 2.4807 ppm.

Abstract

Salah satu tanaman yang mengandung senyawa metabolit sekunder yaitu kayu kuning (Arcangelisia flava (L.) Merr.) yang terkandung dalam batangnya adalah alkaloid, fenolik, flavonoid saponin, dan tanin. Senyawa fenolik mempunyai aktivitas sebagai antioksidan. Senyawa fenolik adalah senyawa kimia yang memiliki ikatan rangkap terkonjugasi dan gugus kromofor dapat ditentukan kadarnya menggunakan metode spektrofotometri. Perbedaan dari metode dan penggunaan pelarut untuk menyari ekstrak berbeda dapat mempengaruhi kadar dan jenis senyawa fenolik yang akan diperoleh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kandungan metabolit sekunder dan kandungan total kadar fenolik dari ekstrak metanol kayu kuning dengan berbagai konsentrasi dari pelarut methanol 99,8%, 70% dan 50% menggunakan Spektrofotometri UV–VIS. Hasil skrining fitokimia pada ekstrak metanol kayu kuning bahwa terdapat kandungan golongan senyawa kimia seperti alkaloid, flavonoid, fenolik, tanin, steroid/triterpenoid, saponi dan glikosida. Penentuan kadar fenolik total dilakukan dengan menentukan panjang gelombang maksimum asam galat, operating time, pengukuran kurva kalibrasi asam galat dan perhitungan kadar fenolik total dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometri UV-Vis. Hasil penentuan kadar fenolik total pada ekstrak metanol kayu kuning 99,8% sebesar 81,61002 ± 0,248610176 mg GAE/g sampel, 70% sebesar 68,8756 ± 0,24837736 mg GAE/g sampel dan 50% sebesar 57,7894 ± 0,13110763709 mg GAE/g sampel. One of the plants that contains secondary metabolite compounds is yellow wood (Arcangelisia flava (L.) Merr.), which contains alkaloids, phenolics, flavonoids, saponins and tannins in its stems. Phenolic compounds have activity as antioxidants. Phenolic compounds are chemical compounds that have conjugated double bonds and chromophore groups that can be determined using spectrophotometric methods. Differences in methods and use of solvents to extract different extracts can influence the levels and types of phenolic compounds that will be obtained. The aim of this research was to determine the secondary metabolite content and total phenolic content of yellow wood methanol extract with various concentrations of 99.8%, 70% and 50% methanol solvent using UV-VIS Spectrophotometry. The research results Phytochemical screening of methanol extract of yellow wood showed that it contained chemical compounds such as alkaloids, flavonoids, phenolics, tannins, steroids/triterpenoids, saponi and glycosides. Determination of total phenolic content was carried out by determining the maximum wavelength of gallic acid, operating time, measuring the gallic acid calibration curve and calculating total phenolic content using the UV-Vis spectrophotometric method. The results of determining the total phenolic content in 99.8% methanol extract of yellow wood were 81.61002 ± 0.248610176 mg GAE/g, 70% were 68.8756 ± 0.24837736 mg GAE/g and 50% were 57.7894 ± 0 .13110763709 mg GAE/g sample).

Abstract

Siamese pumpkin (Sechium edule (Jacq.) Swartz) is a plant originating from the cucurbitaceae tribe. This plant is a vegetable that grows in the subtropics that is used as food and at the same time used in medicine. Chayote contains secondary metabolites, minerals, and vitamins. The minerals contained in chayote include potassium, calcium, magnesium, sodium, phosphorus, zinc, iron and manganese. The purpose of this study was to determine the mineral content of potassium, calcium, and magnesium from old and young chayote and to determine the difference in mineral content of young and old chayote. The sample was taken by purposive sampling from Jalan Garu 2, Harjosari II Village, Medan Amplas District, North Sumatra. The sample consisted of old chayote and young chayote. Samples were treated with a wet digestion process. The assay was carried out using atomic absorption spectrophotometry with an air-acetylene flame. Quantitative analysis of potassium, calcium and magnesium was carried out at wavelengths of 766.5 nm, 422.7 nm and 285.2 nm, respectively. The results showed that the mineral levels of potassium, calcium, and magnesium in old chayote were (11.5926 -+ 2.2124) mg/100g, (31.1145 -+ 1.8648) mg/100g, (4.0623 -+ 2.6156) mg/100g. The mineral levels of potassium, calcium and magnesium in young chayote were (16.2461 -+ 2.2547) mg/100g, (16.5038 -+ 1.9765) mg/100g, (5.7721 -+ 0.1935), respectively. mg. There is a difference between the mineral content found in old chayote and young chayote with potassium and magnesium levels in old chayote being lower than young chayote and calcium levels in old chayote being higher than young chayote.

Abstract

Fresh vegetables are foodstuffs that contain lots of vitamins and minerals that are important for the body (Ayu, 2002). There are two types of cassava leaves, namely, ordinary cassava leaves and curly cassava leaves. Cassava leaves contain minerals and vitamins, including calcium, iron, magnesium, protein, fat, carbohydrates, phosphorus, vitamin A, vitamin B and vitamin C. This study aims to determine the mineral levels of iron, calcium and magnesium in ordinary cassava leaves. This research includes a dry destruction process and then quantitative analysis of iron, calcium, and magnesium using the atomic absorption spectrophotometry (AAS) method, namely ferrous metal at a wavelength of 248.3 nm, calcium metal at a wavelength of 422.7 nm and magnesium metal at a wavelength of 248 nm. 285.2 nm wave. The advantages of this method are selective, sensitive and simple. The results showed that the mineral content in cassava leaves were iron (4.1384 -+ 0.2.607) mg/100g, calcium (8.058 -+ 9.0230) mg/100 and magnesium (4.096 -+ 0.0351) mg/100g.

Abstract

Bromhexine works by increasing the amount of mucus and reducing its viscosity. In Pharmacopoeia Edition V (2014) there is no monograph of bromhexine either in syrup form or in tablet preparation. Bromhexine has chromophore and auxochrome groups in its structure so that this compound can absorb radiation in the ultraviolet (UV) region. The purpose of this study is to find an alternative method that is simple and inexpensive but provides good accuracy and precision. This method was validated and then the validated method was applied to the assay of bromhexine tablets on the market. The method used was ultraviolet spectrophotometry with 0.1 N HCl as a solvent. The sample used was 5 bromhexine tablets with trade names. The validation test parameters carried out are accuracy, precision, detection limits and quantitation limits. The results of the specified validation test provide an accuracy test with a percent recovery of 101.14% and a Relative Standard Deviation (RSD) of 1.6964%. This shows that this method provides good accuracy and precision, with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.6315 and a limit of quantitation (LOQ) of 1.1983. The assay results of the tablet sample of the trade name Bisolvon (PT. Boehringer Ingelheim) 100.70% -+ 0.56%; Bromifar (PT. Ifars) 101.09% -+ 0.44%; Bronchitis (PT. Graha Farma) 100.65% -+ 0.67%; Mucohexin (PT. Sanbe) 100.92% -+1.25% and Omesolvon (PT. Mutifa) 100.34% -+ 0.37%. All tablets determined to meet the requirements of the general content of a tablet that is not less than 90% and not more than 110% of the amount stated on the label.

Abstract

Penyakit infeksi merupakan salah satu permasalahan kesehatan yang sering terjadi.  Jenis infeksi bisa dipicu oleh bakteri gram postif maupun gram negatif. Salah satu mikroorganisme yang dapat menyebabkan infeksi yaitu Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder dalam ekstrak etanol daun Senggani (Melastoma candidum D.Don) dan mengevaluasi aktivitas antibakterinya terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli. Jenis penelitian yang dilakuakan adalah penelitian eksperimental. Sampel tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah daun senggani (Melastoma candidum D.Don) yang diperoleh dari Kabupaten Tapanuli Tengah. Metode pengambilan sampel dengan metode purposive yaitu tanpa membandingkan tumbuhan serupa didaderah lain. Data yang diperoleh dengan pengukuran diameter zona hambat ekstrak etanol daun senggani (Melastoma candidum D.Don) dengan metode ekstraksi maserasi dan microwave assisted extraction dari masing-masing konsentrasi dengan 3 kali pengulangan. Data yang diperoleh dianalsis dengan menggunakan uji Oneway Annova. Parameter yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji skrining fitokimia, metode ekstraksi maserasi dan microwave assisted extraction dan uji antibakteri. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun Senggani yang diperoleh melalui metode maserasi mengandung alkaloid, flavonoid, saponin, tanin, dan steroid. Ekstrak dari metode MAE juga mengandung senyawa-senyawa tersebut, serta glikosida tambahan. Aktivitas antibakteri ekstrak daun Senggani terhadap Staphylococcus aureus dan Escherichia coli menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak dari metode MAE memberikan zona hambat yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ekstrak dari metode maserasi, menunjukkan efektivitas yang lebih tinggi dalam aktivitas antibakteri.

Abstract

Chitosan is a polysaccharide formed via deacetylation of chitin. In general, chitosan is made from waste products from the fishing industry, such as shrimp, crabs, shells of feather clams, snails, and so on. The chitosan comes from the head, skin, and carapace. The development of chitosan applications has great potential because the production of shrimp, crab, and feather clam shells continues to increase. Chitosan is a bioactive substance with use in the fishing industry. This research aims to isolate and characterize chitosan from feather clam shells (Anadara antiquata) to convert feather clam shells into chitin and deacetylate it into chitosan then to determine the functional groups and characteristics of chitosan using Fourier infrared (FTIR). The isolation methods used were deproteination using 4% NaOH solvent, demineralization with a 1:5 ratio of 2N HCl solvent, depigmentation with a 1:10 ratio of 4% NaOCl solvent and deacetylation with a 1:20 ratio of 50% NaOH solvent. and chitosan characterization. According to the study's findings, the degree of deacetylation obtained in the form of a white powder was 75%, odorless fine powder. Chitosan dissolves in acetic acid, according to the solubility test. The obtained water content was 3.81% and the ash content obtained was 0.7%. Feather clam shell waste is declared to be well isolated and meets the requirements by SNI with a degree of deacetylation value of 75%. Kitosan merupakan polisakarida dari deasetilasi kitin; biasanya dibuat dari limbah produk industri perikanan seperti bekicot, kepiting, udang, bulu kerang, dan cangkang kerang. Kitosan berasal dari kulit, karapas, dan bagian kepala. Karena produksi udang, kepiting, dan cangkang kerang bulu yang terus meningkat, pengembangan aplikasi kitosan sangat potensial. Kitosan merupakan bahan bioaktif memiliki manfaat untuk industri perikanan. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi, menggambarkan kitosan yang ditemukan dalam cangkang kerang bulu (Anadara antiquata) agar merubah cangkang kerang bulu menjadi kitin dan di deasetilasi menjadi kitosan kemudian untuk mengetahui gugus fungsi dan karakteristik kitosan menggunakan fourier infrared (FTIR). Metode isolasi yang dilakukan yaitu  deproteinasi menggunakan pelarut NaOH 4%, demineralisasi menggunakan pelarut HCl 2N dengan perbandingan 1:5, depigmentasi menggunakan pelarut NaOCl 4% (1:10), deasetilasi dengan pelarut NaOH 50% (1:20) dan karakterisasi kitosan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan derajat deasetilasi yang di peroleh yaitu 75% berbentuk serbuk halus berwarna putih dan  tidak berbau. Menurut uji kelarutan, kitosan larut dalam asam asetat. Kadar air yang diperoleh 3,81% dan kadar abu yang diperoleh 0,7%. Limbah cangkang kerang bulu dinyatakan terisolasi dengan baik dan telah memenuhi syarat sesuai dengan SNI dengan nilai derajat deasetilasi sebesar 75%.

Abstract

Green Mussels (Perna viridis L.) is one of Indonesia's fishery resources. The purpose of this study was to determine the toxicity level of chitosan from green clam shells (Perna viridis L.) by looking at the LC50 value tested on the BSLT method. This study included isolation of chitin and chitosan: deproteination, demineralization, depigmentation and deacetylation of chitin into chitosan, chitosan characterization, FTIR, and chitosan Toxicity Test using the BSLT method to see the number of deaths of Artemia salina L larvae obtained data (LC50). The results showed that the Chitosan Green Clam Shell (Perna viridis L.) had an LC50 of 4369.1806 ?g/mL. The results showed that green clam shell chitosan (Perna viridis L.) was non-toxic (LC50 > 1000 ?g/mL) in the BSLT test. Keywords:          BSLT, Chitosan, Shellfish, Toxicity Test

Program Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan di desa melalui kontribusi mahasiswa sebagai tenaga ahli. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengoptimalkan peran mahasiswa KKN jurusan Manajemen dalam memberikan solusi strategis terhadap permasalahan pelayanan publik di Desa Bangun Sari Baru, Kecamatan Tanjung Morawa, Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Pendekatan yang digunakan melibatkan analisis kebutuhan desa, penyusunan strategi manajerial, serta implementasi program pelayanan berbasis partisipasi masyarakat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa intervensi mahasiswa KKN mampu meningkatkan efisiensi, kualitas layanan, serta partisipasi warga desa dalam pengelolaan pelayanan. Temuan ini merekomendasikan peningkatan kolaborasi antara perguruan tinggi, pemerintah desa, dan masyarakat untuk keberlanjutan program serupa.
