Abstract

Self-managed project through of KOTAKU (Kota Tanpa Kumuh) program managed by Lembaga Keswadayaan Masyarakat Abdi Karya Amanah Kalianyar - Bangil Village received around 1 billion funds from Direktorat Jenderal Cipta Karya Kementrian Pekerjaan Umum Dan Perumahan Rakyat. The implementation of self-managed projects is carried out entirely by the community with less knowledge regarding building construction. The research objective is to identify and analyze time risks in implementing community self-managed projects. The data analysis method used is literature study, observation, average analysis, risk analysis and risk matrix preparation. The results of the analysis show that there are 20 risk variables with the highest ranking being low labor productivity where the measurement scale is likely to occur >60–80% and the risk impact on time is >7-30 days from the duration of the project, then the risk response decision "Avoidance" risk must be avoided.

Abstract

Abstract

The shopping center switchboard system consists of several parts: a 20 kV cabinet to a 20 kV to 380 V step-down transformer, which is then provided to the user to control the newly upgraded LVMDP (low voltage main switchboard). Before distributing to users, they need to pay attention to the fixed power factor of the capacitor bank. Lack of an exemplary power factor will cause an inductive load on the capacitor bank, high temperatures due to high loads will damage the capacitor bank. A switchboard safety automation technology with a microcontroller control system has been proposed to complete this research. Microcontroller control system for switch safety includes Microprocessor (Arduino Nano), light sensor (LDR), temperature sensor (LM35DZ), LCD 16x2 I2C, actuator (fan, buzzer, three-phase network disconnect switch relay), switch (5 VDC relay), ADC As data input. The working principle of the microcontroller is: if the LM35DZ sensor detects the specified temperature, an alarm will be triggered, while the LDR sensor detects a spark, the alarm will be triggered as a danger warning signal and cut off the power grid. Equipment designed to prevent switchboard safety caused by high temperatures or sparks can prevent fires.

Abstract

Seeing the condition of water availability with good quality which is starting to decrease, it is necessary to have water treatment before the water is suitable for use. Therefore, in this research, a more effective digital measuring instrument is designed to measure water quality in terms of pH and water clarity. The design of tools in the form of natural filtration and pH measuring devices. This study used several water samples, namely rainwater and well water from different locations. Based on the test results, the tool works effectively with a pH value that has been in the standard range from the start (6.5-9) after 4 times of filtration, which is between 6.82-7.60 so that the pH value of the water will be maintained in a condition that is fit for use. . For acidic and alkaline pH categories, it requires repeated processing to get the value according to the standard fit for use

Abstract

Air is a layer of gas that covers the Earth. Clean air is air that is free of impurities or substances that can poison the body and is commonly found in areas where there are many plants. The realization is done through a combination of the TGS 2442 sensor on the detector with a high voltage system on the T-Box. The TGS2442 sensor is a high sensitivity sensor to carbon monoxide gas. Thus, the resulting carbon monoxide gas exhaust that has gone through the process will produce oxygen gas because the steel plate on the T-Box functions as a carbon binder. The amount of smoke, which is the output form, is already in the form of ppm, which can be found using the display on the serial monitor and by calibrating using a gas analyzer. The gas analyzer is in the lowest range, namely 100ppm, the sensor detects 116ppm with a percent error of 16%. And when the gas analyzer is in the highest range of 600ppm, the sensor detects 603ppm with an error of 0.5%.

Abstract

Air is the layer of gas that envelopes the Earth. Clean air is air free of pollutants or substances that can poison the body and are commonly found in areas with many plants. Thus, the result of carbon monoxide emissions that have been processed will produce oxygen gas because the steel plate on the Box Analizer serves as a carbon element binder. This applied model does not change the shape of the vehicle so that the vehicle is able to process the carbon monoxide gas outside the system. In this test is used smoke from paper burning to provide action on the sensor. The amount of smoke which is the form of output already in the form of ppm (part per million) can be known by using the display on the serial monitor and with calibration using a gas analyzer. Abstract

In line with the increase in the electrification ratio target to 100% in 2025, the electricity demand is projected to increase more than 7 times to 1,611 TWh in 2050. the share reached 58% or about 50 GW. On the other hand, the current energy diversification carried out by the government is directed at the utilization of renewable energy that exists in nature. One of the important components in this power plant is the battery. This is because the battery functions as a store of energy generated from the vertical wind turbine. After use, the battery needs to be recharged. The process of recharging the battery that is not suitable can cause a decrease in battery performance. Therefore, in the process of charging this battery, a safe battery charging system is needed for the battery to maintain battery performance and extend battery lifetime. This battery charging system uses a PI control system. From the research that has been done, it was found that. From the research that has been done, it is found that the output voltage value of the battery charger that is made has an average error percentage of 1.373% and the power output efficiency of the battery charger is 83-95%.

Abstract

Main engine failure will damage engine systems, reduce navigation safety, and cause serious marine accidents. The cooling system is very important to prevent the engine's mechanical efficiency from deteriorating and engine failure due to overheating. Therefore, a monitoring and error detection system is needed. The system is based on the Modbus RS485 communication and interface. The collection equipment uses components from the 7S-50MC diesel engine. PLC is used as processing equipment and Logic Panel Autonics S070 is used as an interface. Through these tests, error detection in this study can provide an indication of an error when an abnormal situation occurs. In addition, data monitoring and system fault indication can be displayed on the interface. Testing of the system proved that it complies with the Indonesian Shipping Bureau (BKI) regulations on engine warning systems. The research developed can form the basis of more complex and reliable monitoring and fault detection system for applications on ships.

Abstract

Sumber energi penggerak kapal merupakan salah satu faktor yang menjadi perhatian. Penggunaan BBM (solar) yang merupakan hasil olahan minyak bumi sangat terbatas dan dapat habis sewaktu-waktu, karena itu diperlukan sumber energy baru untuk mengurangi ketergantungan BBM. PLTS mejadi salah satu sumber energi pada kapal untuk menurunkan pemakaian BBM. Pemakaian energi surya dapat mengurangi emisi udara. PLTS pada kapal juga menghemat biaya bahan bakar kapal dan menjaga kelestarian ekosistem laut. Dengan menggunakan PLTS maka dapat mengurangi pemanasan global yang mengakibatkan suhu laut menghangat yang dapat merusak ekosistem laut. Dalam penelitian kali ini kapal ikan yang dirancang adalah kapal ikan 3GT dengan kecepatan 12-15 knot dan menggunakan panel surya dengan spesifikasi 1000Wp sebanyak 2 buah. Kelebihan daripada panel surya yang dirancang ini adalah dilengkapi dengan penambahan beberapa komponen diantaranya seperti Charge Controller yang merupakan peralatan elektronik untuk mengontrol pengisian dan pengosongan baterai. Solar charge controller mengatur agar tidak terjadi overcharging dan overvoltage yang dapat mengurangi umur baterai. Baterai merupakan komponen yang berfungsi memberikan daya kepada beban ketika modul surya tidak dapat menyediakan daya keseluruhan pada beban, dan menyimpan kelebihan daya yang dihasilkan oleh modul surya. Kapal ikan ini dilengkapi dengan beberapa alat penunjang lainnya seperti fishfinder, radar, AIS dsb.

Abstract

This paper provides a comparative analysis between PID control as a classical control technique and modern control technique in the dinamometer Eddy current brakes system. Eddy current brakes is a modern braking system that requires a control system to support the braking performance. PID control is often used to be implemented but in some conditions it is less optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a modern and optimal control, such as a full state feedback Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR). The comparison of the braking time responses were simulated using Matlab/Simulink. The simulation results show that the response of LQR control is better than the PID, with Ts = 2.12 seconds, Tr = 1.18 seconds, and without overshoot. On the other side, PID control, although having Ts = 0.27 seconds and Tr = 0.18 seconds, there is still an overshoot about 0.7%.
