Abstract

Efforts to reduce and handle waste require the full participation of the community. Community participation is very important because the community as a waste producer, the community knows best about the condition of waste management in their environment. This research is a descriptive research, namely making systematic, factual, and accurate descriptions of the facts and characteristics of a particular population or area. The data analysis techniques used to achieve the objectives of this study are: the Frequency Distribution analysis method, which processes data using various simple statistical calculations, for example: amounts, differences and percentages of data. The results of this study indicate that the role of youth in community participation-based waste management is very important in Kotarindau Village.

Abstract

The challenges of environmental degradation and global climate change demand a transformation of leadership paradigms in higher education institutions, particularly in management education. This study aims to analyze the influence of student involvement in the Green Leadership in Action program—an Action Learning-based initiative—on the development of sustainable leadership competencies in the Undergraduate Management Study Program at Tadulako University. Methods: This study used a descriptive and inferential quantitative approach, involving 50 students as respondents through a purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a closed-ended questionnaire measuring five competency dimensions: green vision, sustainable innovation, cross-team collaboration, social responsibility, and environmental ethics. Results: The results of data analysis using the Pearson correlation test showed a strong positive relationship between student involvement and Green Leadership competencies (r = 0.77). Furthermore, a simple linear regression test confirmed the significant influence of the Action Learning variable on the formation of green leadership (F = 72.696; p < 0.001). Descriptively, the cross-team collaboration dimension recorded the highest achievement, while the team reflection and environmental ethics indicators scored the lowest. Implication: These findings provide academic legitimacy that action-based learning is effective in internalizing sustainability values, but institutions need to strengthen the structure of reflection and the moral-affective dimension to balance physical action with wisdom.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to examine the effect of green transformational leadership education grounded in local wisdom on sustainable performance, with green behavior positioned as a mediating variable among employees at PT Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP). Method: An explanatory quantitative research design was employed using Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The sample consisted of 100 employees, determined based on the ten-times rule relative to the number of measurement indicators. Data were collected through structured online questionnaires and field observations. The measurement model was evaluated using convergent validity, discriminant validity, and reliability testing, while the structural model was assessed through path coefficients, R², Q², and hypothesis testing using bootstrapping procedures. Results: The findings indicate that green transformational leadership education based on local wisdom has a positive and significant direct effect on sustainable performance (β = 0.519; T = 7.433; p < 0.001) and on green behavior (β = 0.661; T = 11.749; p < 0.001). Green behavior also significantly influences sustainable performance (β = 0.359; T = 4.613; p < 0.001). Furthermore, green behavior partially mediates the relationship between green transformational leadership education and sustainable performance (β = 0.238; T = 4.195; p < 0.001). The model explains 64.5% of the variance in sustainable performance and demonstrates strong predictive relevance (Q² = 0.80). Novelty:This study offers empirical evidence on the behavioral mechanism through which green transformational leadership education embedded in local wisdom enhances sustainable performance. Distinct from existing literature that applies Western-centric frameworks, this research demonstrates that integrating indigenous values such as metapoko-pokofali and mefalo-falo into leadership education strengthens the internalization of pro-environmental behavior. By positioning green behavior as a partial mediating construct, the research provides a contextualized model for strengthening long-term organizational performance in resource-intensive industrial settings.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of inclusive leadership on Generation Z employee performance at PT Bank Sulteng and examine the moderating role of Kaili local culture. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) on 39 Gen Z respondents. The results show that inclusive leadership does not significantly affect employee performance, and local cultural internalization does not moderate the relationship. These findings suggest that local cultural values are not yet operationally embedded in organizational work systems. The study implies the importance of contextual inclusive leadership practices and local cultural integration to enhance Gen Z performance in regional banking. Keywords: inclusive leadership, local culture, Kaili values, employee performance, Generation Z, organizational behavior, internalization, banking sector

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job satisfaction and career development on employee performance at the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Office of Central Sulawesi. The population in this study were all employees at the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Office of Central Sulawesi, totaling 59 people. The sampling technique used saturated sampling where the entire population became respondents in this study. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. Before testing the hypothesis, the data were tested through validity tests, reliability tests, and classical assumption tests including normality tests, multicollinearity tests, and heteroscedasticity tests. The results of the study indicate that partially job satisfaction has a significant effect on employee performance, and career development also has a significant effect on employee performance. Simultaneously, job satisfaction and career development have a significant effect on employee performance. The coefficient of determination shows that 58.8% of the variation in employee performance can be explained by job satisfaction and career development, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside the research model. The implications of this study indicate that increasing job satisfaction and implementing effective career development programs are important strategies in improving employee performance in government agencies, especially at the Animal, Fish, and Plant Quarantine Office of Central Sulawesi
