Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi konsep Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) yang terkandung dalam proses pembuatan kerajinan anyaman daun pandan khas Kota Sungai Penuh, mengidentifikasi nilai-nilai etnosains yang terdapat dalam praktik tradisional tersebut, serta mengetahui pandangan guru terhadap potensi penerapan nilai etnosains dalam pembelajaran IPA sebagai sumber literasi sains siswa sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya pembelajaran IPA yang kontekstual dan terintegrasi dengan budaya lokal guna meningkatkan pemahaman serta apresiasi siswa terhadap sains dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas pengrajin anyaman daun pandan dan guru sekolah dasar. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembuatan kerajinan anyaman daun pandan Kota Sungai Penuh mengandung konsep IPA yang relevan dengan Capaian Pembelajaran (CP) IPA Fase B, meliputi pemanfaatan sumber daya alam, dan gaya. Selain itu, kerajinan tersebut memuat nilai-nilai etnosains berupa pengetahuan empiris, proses ilmiah tradisional, nilai ekologis, nilai sosial, nilai karakter, serta pewarisan pengetahuan secara turun-temurun. Guru memandang bahwa integrasi nilai etnosains dari kerajinan anyaman daun pandan berpotensi meningkatkan literasi sains siswa serta menjadikan pembelajaran IPA lebih kontekstual dan bermakna. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kerajinan anyaman daun pandan Kota Sungai Penuh memiliki potensi yang kuat untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber belajar IPA berbasis etnosains dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of morning assembly as a strategy to strengthen student character at SDN 14/I Sungai Baung. The research was conducted using a case study approach with data obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings reveal that morning assembly serves as a structured routine that contributes to building student discipline, responsibility, respect, religiosity, and patriotism. The implementation includes activities such as lining up, praying, singing national songs, delivering moral messages, and providing school information. The strategy for character strengthening is carried out through teacher modeling, habituation, direct supervision, moral reinforcement, positive feedback, and student involvement as assembly officers. The study also identifies several obstacles, including student tardiness, inconsistency in line discipline, lack of support from home routines, and weather disturbances. Despite these constraints, morning assembly has a significant positive impact on improving student discipline and creating a more conducive school environment. The results of this study highlight the importance of habitual school routines as an effective means of character education in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research focuses on the development of a digital learning media that highlights the local wisdom of Jambi Batik as a learning context for the material of changes in the state of matter for fourth grade elementary school students. The use of local cultural elements is expected to make the concept of science and natural sciences feel more concrete, meaningful, and close to the daily experiences of students, thereby helping them understand the material more easily. The method used is research and development (R&D) with the DDD-E model which includes the stages of Decide (determining needs and objectives), Design (media design), Develop (product creation and refinement), and Evaluate (assessment and improvement). Data were obtained through interviews, observations, and questionnaires. After the media was developed, a validation test was conducted to assess its feasibility and quality, involving three validators, namely media experts, material experts, and language experts. The validation results showed an average score of 95% from media experts with a feasible category, 97.5% from material experts with a very feasible category, and 98% from language experts with a feasible category. Based on these findings, the digital learning media based on the local wisdom of Jambi Batik on the material of changes in the state of matter for fourth grade elementary school students is declared to meet the eligibility criteria and can be used as an alternative media in classroom learning activities. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini difokuskan pada pengembangan sebuah media pembelajaran digital yang mengangkat kearifan lokal Batik Jambi sebagai konteks pembelajaran materi perubahan wujud zat untuk siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Pemanfaatan unsur budaya lokal tersebut diharapkan dapat membuat konsep IPAS terasa lebih konkret, bermakna, dan dekat dengan pengalaman sehari-hari peserta didik, sehingga membantu mereka memahami materi dengan lebih mudah. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development/R&D) dengan model DDD-E yang meliputi tahapan Decide (penentuan kebutuhan dan tujuan), Design (perancangan media), Develop (pembuatan dan penyempurnaan produk), serta Evaluate (penilaian dan perbaikan). Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, observasi, dan penyebaran angket. Setelah media selesai dikembangkan, dilakukan uji validasi untuk menilai kelayakan dan kualitasnya, melibatkan tiga validator, yaitu ahli media, ahli materi, dan ahli bahasa. Hasil validasi menunjukkan skor rata-rata persentase 95% dari ahli media dengan kategori layak, 97,5% dari ahli materi dengan kategori sangat layak, serta 98% dari ahli bahasa dengan kategori layak. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, media pembelajaran digital berbasis kearifan lokal Batik Jambi pada materi perubahan wujud zat untuk siswa kelas IV SD dinyatakan memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dan dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu alternatif media dalam kegiatan pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

This study was conducted to design and produce an instructional material development product in the form of a locally based digital encyclopedia on the topic of plant structures and the functions of their parts for Grade IV elementary IPAS learning. The study was motivated by the suboptimal use of digital instructional materials at SD Negeri 165/I Sengkawang, even though technological facilities are available, causing learning to remain largely dependent on textbooks and less contextual. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE framework, implemented only up to the development stage, with a primary focus on expert validation. Data were collected qualitatively through direct interviews with teachers and students to identify learning needs, and quantitatively through validation sheets completed by a subject-matter expert, a language expert, and a media expert using a Likert scale. Quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of the obtained score relative to the maximum score and classifying it into validity categories. The validation results indicated that the instructional material achieved a very high feasibility level, with language expert feasibility at 94%, content expert feasibility at 94%, and media expert feasibility at 98%, and an average validity of 95% categorized as highly valid. These findings show that the developed digital encyclopedia meets feasibility criteria in terms of content accuracy, language quality, and media design, and has the potential to support a more engaging and well-targeted learning experience that aligns with the cultural environment of elementary school students. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang dan menghasilkan sebuah produk pengembangan bahan ajar berupa ensiklopedia digital bermuatan kearifan lokal pada topik struktur serta fungsi bagian-bagian tumbuhan untuk pembelajaran IPAS kelas IV sekolah dasar. Latar belakang penelitian berangkat dari belum optimalnya pemanfaatan bahan ajar digital di SD Negeri 165/I Sengkawang meskipun sarana teknologi tersedia, sehingga pembelajaran masih cenderung bergantung pada buku teks dan kurang kontekstual. Penelitian ini menerapkan metode penelitian dan pengembangan (R&D) dengan kerangka ADDIE pelaksanaannya hanya dilakukan hingga fase pengembangan (development), terutama pada proses validasi ahli. Pendataan dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan melakukan tanya jawab langsung bersama guru dan peserta didik untuk memetakan kebutuhan, serta secara kuantitatif melalui lembar validasi ahli materi, ahli bahasa, dan ahli media berbantuan skala Likert. Data kuantitatif dianalisis untuk menghitung persentase perbandingan skor perolehan terhadap skor maksimal dan mengklasifikasikannya ke kategori kevalidan. Temuan dari tahap validasi memperlihatkan bahwa bahan ajar tersebut memperoleh penilaian tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi, dengan kelayakan ahli bahasa 94%, ahli materi 94%, dan ahli media 98%, serta rata-rata kevalidan 95% pada kategori sangat valid. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa ensiklopedia digital yang dirancang sudah memenuhi kriteria kelayakan dari aspek ketepatan materi, kebahasaan, dan tampilan media, serta berpotensi mendukung suasana belajar yang lebih menyenangkan sekaligus tepat sasaran dengan lingkungan budaya siswa sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Era Society 5.0 menuntut guru untuk mampu mengintegrasikan teknologi digital dalam pembelajaran, termasuk dalam pengajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) yang banyak memuat konsep abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru sekolah dasar dalam memanfaatkan teknologi Augmented Reality (AR) sebagai media pembelajaran inovatif yang mampu memvisualisasikan materi IPA menjadi lebih konkret dan menarik. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 148/IV Kota Jambi dengan melibatkan 17 guru sebagai peserta. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi tiga tahapan utama, yaitu persiapan, pelatihan, dan evaluasi. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dan interaktif yang terdiri dari sesi teori tentang literasi teknologi dan penerapan AR dalam pembelajaran IPA, serta sesi praktik pembuatan media berbasis Assemblr EDU. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan respon yang sangat positif dari peserta dengan skor rata-rata dengan kategori sangat tinggi pada semua indikator, meliputi relevansi materi, kemudahan pemahaman, peningkatan wawasan, motivasi berinovasi, dan kepercayaan diri dalam penggunaan AR. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan mampu meningkatkan kemampuan pedagogik dan profesional guru dalam mengintegrasikan teknologi AR ke dalam pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini efektif sebagai strategi capacity building untuk memperkuat literasi digital guru dan mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran abad ke-21.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of technology underscores the importance of teachers’ ability to adapt and integrate digital tools into the learning process. To ensure the effective implementation of such technological adaptation in schools, continuous support and mentoring from educational partners are essential. This community service activity aimed to train teachers at SDN 205 Jambi in creating educational games using Wordwall, a web-based application that offers various engaging game templates. The training was conducted through several stages: material presentation, trial of educational games, hands-on practice in designing Wordwall-based games, and subsequent evaluation and reflection. As a result of this program, teachers successfully developed a range of educational games relevant to their classroom subjects. The level of teacher satisfaction with the training was evaluated using a quantitative approach through a Likert-scale questionnaire covering four dimensions: training content, facilitators, facilities and media, and overall satisfaction. The results revealed that teachers reported a very high level of satisfaction across all aspects of the training. The relevance of the training materials achieved an average score of 4,48 (very high category), while the facilitator quality received an average score of 4,49 (very high category). The facilities and instructional media were rated 4.46, also classified as very high. The final indicator, overall satisfaction, achieved an average score of 4,59, placing it firmly within the very high category. These findings highlight the importance of continuous, technology-oriented professional development programs to strengthen elementary school teachers’ digital competencies and support the integration of innovative learning tools in the classroom.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and determine the potential feasibility of the DIA-VAR (Diorama Variation Augmented Reality) learning media using the Assemblr Edu platform for the subject matter of Diverse Landforms and their relation to Professions in Grade IV of Elementary School. The necessity of this media emerged from an analysis identifying low student engagement and the limited use of interactive digital technology in visualizing abstract IPAS (Science and Social Studies) concepts. The development process follows the systematic ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The final product is designed to combine a physical diorama with interactive Augmented Reality (AR) features. This study’s primary objective is to produce a media that is theoretically valid, highly practical, and provides an effective, contextual solution to enhance students' comprehension and motivation toward IPAS material

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the local wisdom values contained in the menyumbun tradition and its relevance to Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning in Grade IV of elementary school. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with a case study approach. Data were collected through interviews with community leaders and elementary school teachers, observations, and documentation. The results indicate that the menyumbun tradition contains ecological, social, educational, and spiritual values. Ecological values are reflected in environmental conservation practices and sustainable resource use. Social values are shown through cooperation and solidarity among community members. Educational values appear in the intergenerational transmission of knowledge through experiential learning. Spiritual values are demonstrated in gratitude and religious awareness in utilizing natural resources. Furthermore, the tradition aligns with IPAS learning objectives in Phase B of the Merdeka Curriculum, particularly in ecosystem concepts, natural resource utilization, environmental conservation, and social interaction. Therefore, the menyumbun tradition has strong potential as a contextual and local wisdom-based learning resource in elementary education.
