Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Role Play method in improving Arabic speaking skills. This research is significant because several issues in teaching speaking skills have been identified, including students’ lack of confidence when speaking Arabic due to their fear of making mistakes, which is caused by their limited vocabulary. Additionally, Arabic language instruction often focuses solely on vocabulary teaching, and teachers have not yet implemented engaging methods and strategies in Arabic language teaching. This study employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving two groups of students: an experimental group using the Role Play method and a control group not using the Role Play method. The research data was collected through oral tests (pre-test and post-test) and analyzed using t-tests and N-Gain tests to determine the effectiveness and degree of effectiveness of the method. After applying the treatment, the average score of the experimental group increased to 75.37, compared to 41.47 before the treatment. Meanwhile, the control group’s average pre-test score was 38.95, and their post-test score was 41.89. The t-test results showed a value of 19.96, with a t-table value of 1.68 at a 5% significance level and 2.43 at a 1% significance level. This indicates that the t-test value is greater than the t-table value, meaning the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted, signifying that the Role Play teaching method effectively improves Arabic speaking skills. Furthermore, the N-Gain test was conducted to determine the level of effectiveness, which yielded a result of 0.6. This value falls within the range of >0.03 and <0.07, indicating that the effectiveness of this teaching method is categorized as moderate.

Abstract

This research aimed to reveal the effectiveness of using the Blooket method (Blooket) In teaching Arabic vocabulary to students of Pembangunan Islamic Middle School in Tangerang. This research coincided with the implementation of the Arabic language strengthening program in the school, as the program seeks to improve the students’ Arabic language skills. In this research, the researcher relied on the quasi-experimental method, where the students were divided into two groups: an experimental group that used the Block method to teach vocabulary, and a control group that relied on traditional methods of education. The number of students in each group was 19 students. Data were collected through tests before and after applying the educational method, in addition to questionnaires and direct observation. The results of the analysis showed that there was a statistically significant difference between the performance of students in the experimental group and the control group, as the experimental group achieved a significant improvement in vocabulary acquisition. After the researcher analyzed the data, he arrived at the averages of the two tests, the pre-test and the post-test. Based on the average results of the experimental group at a value of 89 and the average results of the control group at a value of 63, this indicates that the average results of the experimental group are greater than the average results of the control group. I analyzed the data using the t-test rule, the t-test result0(It is 7.2, so the table is at a significance level of 5% at a value of 1.677 and a significance level of 1% at a value of 2.407, and this indicates that the null hypothesis)H0(The alternative hypothesis is rejected)Ha) is acceptable. This means that the use of the Blockit method in teaching vocabulary from the perspective of the language strengthening program for students in this school is statistically significant. Keywords: Blooket, Vocabulary Teaching, Language Strengthening Program. مستخلص البحثهدف هذا البحث إلى الكشف عن فعالية استخدام وسيلة بلوكيت (Blooket) في تعليم المفردات العربية لدى تلاميذ مدرسة بمبانجونان المتوسطة الإسلامية في تانجرانج. تزامن هذا البحث مع تطبيق برنامج تقوية اللغة العربية في المدرسة، حيث يسعى البرنامج إلى تحسين مهارات اللغة العربية لدى التلاميذ. اعتمد الباحث في هذا البحث على المنهج شبه التجريبي، حيث تم تقسيم التلاميذ إلى مجموعتين: مجموعة تجريبية استخدمت وسيلة بلوكات في تعليم المفردات، ومجموعة ضابطة اعتمدت على الطرق التقليدية في التعليم. بلغ عدد التلاميذ في كل مجموعة ١٩ تلميذًا. تم جمع البيانات من خلال الاختبارات قبل وبعد تطبيق الوسيلة التعليمية، بالإضافة إلى الاستبيانات والملاحظة المباشرة. أظهرت نتائج التحليل أن هناك فرقًا دالاً إحصائيًا بين أداء التلاميذ في المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة، حيث حققت المجموعة التجريبية تحسنًا كبيرًا في اكتساب المفردات. وبعد أن قام الباحث بتحليل البيانات، وصل إلى متوسطي الاختبارين الاختبار القبلي والاختبار البعدي. انطلاقا من متوسط نتائج المجموعة التجريبية على قيمة ٨٩ ومتوسط نتائج المجموعة الضابطة على قيمة ٦٣ حتى تدل على أن نتائج المتوسطة للمجموعة التجريبية أكبر من متوسط نتائج المجموعة الضابطة. وتوصلت إلى تحليل البيانات بقاعدة اختبار "ت" نتيجة ت الحسابية (t0) هي ٧،٢ فالجدول عند مستوى دلالة ٥% على قيمة ١،٦٧٧ ومستوى دلالة ١% على قيمة ٢،٤٠٧ وهذه دلت أن الفرضية الصفرية(H0) مرفوضة والفرضية البديلة (Ha) مقبولة. وهذا يعني أن استخدام وسيلة بلوكيت في تعليم المفردات من منظور برنامج تقوية اللغة لدى تلاميذ هذه المدرسة دال إحصائيا.  الكلمات المفتاحية: وسيلة بلوكيت، تعليم المفردات، برنامج تقوية اللغة.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap makna semantik dalam konten video TikTok akun @bachrulalam_, dengan fokus pada tiga aspek utama: denotasi, konotasi, dan kolokasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode analisis isi untuk memperoleh data secara mendalam. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi literatur dan observasi non-partisipan terhadap tiga video TikTok, di mana peneliti tidak terlibat langsung dengan subjek penelitian. Analisis data mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman yang mencakup reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga data makna denotatif dan konotatif serta tiga data kolokasi dalam konten video yang dianalisis. Setiap kata atau frasa yang digunakan mengandung makna literal sekaligus makna emosional, yang memperkuat pesan komunikasi dalam konteks pembelajaran bahasa Arab. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa penggunaan bahasa dalam media sosial, khususnya TikTok, memiliki potensi semantik yang kuat dalam menyampaikan pesan edukatif.

Abstract

Ilmu balaghah memiliki posisi sentral dalam studi bahasa Arab karena tidak hanya membahas struktur dan makna, tetapi juga menyentuh aspek estetika dan komunikasi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membandingkan konsep pembelajaran ilmu balaghah menurut dua tokoh terkemuka: Ahmad Mushthafa al-Maraghi dan Abdurrahman Habannakah. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan metode analisis isi terhadap dua karya utama mereka, yaitu ‘Ulūm al-Balāghah dan al-Balāghah al-‘Arabiyyah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perbedaan orientasi: Al-Maraghi menekankan aspek keindahan bahasa dan teknik retorika dengan pendekatan deduktif, disertai banyak contoh dari Al-Qur’an dan syair klasik, serta diarahkan untuk memperindah komunikasi, khususnya dalam pidato dan penulisan. Sementara itu, Habannakah menggunakan pendekatan induktif dan kontekstual yang menekankan dimensi moral dan sosial dari teks balaghah, serta menggiring pembaca pada pemahaman tafsir dan makna sosial-budaya. Dari sisi penggunaan, Al-Maraghi bersifat aplikatif-retoris, sedangkan Habannakah lebih bersifat analitik-tematis. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kedua tokoh memberikan kontribusi berbeda namun saling melengkapi; al-Maraghi cenderung bagi yang ingin mendalami teknik keindahan bahasa, sementara Habannakah relevan bagi pembaca yang ingin mengkaji dimensi makna dan konteks sosial teks-teks agama.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the content of the Arabic language book for 6th-grade Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) students, published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, written by Uswatul Hasanah, using content analysis based on Rusdi Ahmad Thuaimah's theory. The main focus of this research includes three aspects: vocabulary (mufradat), cultural elements, and exercises. This research employs a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Data was obtained from the 2020 edition of the Arabic language textbook for 6th-grade MI students published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs as the primary source, along with related literature as secondary sources. Data collection was conducted through documentation studies, while data analysis utilized content analysis methods based on Rusdi Ahmad Thuaimah's approach, covering language, culture, and exercise aspects. The results show that the book presents vocabulary in a structured and consistent manner, with 12 new words per lesson. However, the vocabulary provided does not meet the ideal standard recommended for the elementary level. In terms of culture, the book successfully incorporates Islamic and local cultural values but requires strengthening in presenting a broader diversity of Arab cultures. On the other hand, the exercises and evaluations provided do not fully support the development of language skills comprehensively. The findings indicate that while the book has strengths in terms of organization and visualization, further development is needed in the areas of material variety, depth of meaning, and contextualization to make Arabic language learning more communicative and comprehensive.

Abstract

The lack of students’ interest in reading Arabic texts is often caused by the use of conventional teaching models, such as the lecture method, which tends to be monotonous and hampers comprehension. In addition, some students still struggle with reading Arabic texts, preventing them from achieving the learning objectives effectively. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the Think, Pair, and Share learning model in improving students' Arabic reading skills. This research employs a quantitative method with an experimental approach using the Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research subjects consisted of 38 fifth-grade students, divided into an experimental group (19 students) and a control group (19 students). Data collection techniques included tests, interviews, and observations, while data analysis was conducted using the Shapiro-Wilk test, homogeneity test, independent sample T-test, and N-Gain test. The results indicate that the Think, Pair, and Share model, assisted by PowerPoint, is effective in enhancing Arabic reading skills. The post-test average score of the experimental group reached 80, higher than the control group, which scored 74.73. The independent sample T-test results showed a sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.004 (< 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the two groups. Additionally, the N-Gain test result of 0.4 demonstrates that the effectiveness of the learning model falls within the moderate category. Thus, the Think, Pair, and Share model is proven to have a positive impact on improving students' Arabic reading skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap efektivitas penggunaan Modelling-Based Learning dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pidato bahasa Arab siswa di Pesantren Terpadu Al Kahfi. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya keterampilan pidato siswa karena kurangnya latihan, bimbingan dalam menyusun teks pidato, serta keterbatasan metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan muhadharah. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen, di mana partisipan berjumlah 32 siswa yang terbagi ke dalam dua kelompok: kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi pelaksanaan pretest, posttest, observasi, dan penyebaran angket. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa pada kelompok eksperimen yang menerapkan pendekatan Modelling-Based Learning mengalami peningkatan keterampilan pidato secara signifikan. Nilai rata-rata pretest mereka adalah 64,875, yang kemudian meningkat menjadi 79,375 pada posttest yaitu terjadi peningkatan sebesar 14,5 poin. Sementara itu, kelompok kontrol yang tidak menggunakan metode ini hanya mengalami peningkatan sebesar 9,75 poin, yaitu dari 61,125 menjadi 70,875. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa Modelling-Based Learning lebih efektif dalam mengembangkan kemampuan pidato siswa. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menemukan beberapa faktor yang mendukung keberhasilan penerapan metode ini dalam kegiatan muhadharah, seperti kualitas contoh atau model yang diberikan, keterlibatan aktif siswa saat latihan, peran guru dalam memberikan bimbingan, serta suasana belajar yang mampu menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dan keberanian siswa dalam berbicara

Abstract

Ilmu Nahwu dan Al-Dalalah berperan penting dalam dunia keilmuan bahasa Arab klasik. Ilmu Nahwu, berfungsi untuk menjaga kefasihan dan kemurnian bahasa, terutama dalam membaca Al-Qur’an. Seiring waktu, Nahwu berkembang pesat lewat kontribusi para ulama dari berbagai mazhab seperti Basrah dan Kufah yang memiliki cara dan pendekatan yang berbeda-beda dalam menyusun kaidah bahasa. Sedangkan Ilmu Al-Dalalah memiliki peran dalam memahami makna agar dapat dipahami dengan benar. Ilmu Nahwu dan Al-Dalalah tidak hanya berperan dalam pelestarian bahasa Arab, tetapi juga menjadi pilar dalam memahami teks-teks klasik secara akurat dan ilmiah

Abstract

Abstract: This article explains the various things about synonyms and antonyms in Arabic linguistic studies. Readers are invited to discuss cross-references on the definition of synonyms and antonyms in the Arabic linguistic context, the background of the emergence of synonyms and antonyms in Arabic, the variety of synonyms and antonyms, and the phenomenon of synonyms and antonyms in the Qur'an. Differences in understanding synonyms and antonyms result in differences in interpreting the Qur'an. Mainstream there are two kinds of pro synonyms and antonyms and counter synonyms and antonyms in the Qur "an. The argument used is the science of linguistics and exegesis, From the pro and contra of this synonym, the concept of partial synonym can be a synthesis in formulating the method of interpretation of the Qur'an. While the antonym in the context of the Qur'anic commentary is one word has two contradictory meanings. Abstract

In Arabic learning, case study method is substantial. It can make a major contribution in diagnosing cases or problems that occur in the learning process and offering solutions. The purpose of this research is to reveal the response and understanding of prospective Arabic language learning researchers to the case study method. This research is a mixed methods and the place of research is the field. The data of this research were the head and the secretary of the department, 6 lecturers, and 75 students of the Master program in Arabic Education at three universities, which were UIN Jakarta, UIN Malang, and UIN Tulungagung. The data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, and FGD. Miles and Huberman model were used in this research. The findings of this research were the understanding and responses of Arabic language learning researchers towards the case study method. The indicators were: a) The case study method was discussed during lectures with lecturers, b) The majority of PBA Masters students are interested in the case study method, c) The majority of PBA Masters students were quite understand the case study methodology, d) The majority of PBA Masters students recommend the case study method to be studied and used as a thesis research method, e) The majority of PBA Masters students were interested in applying the case study method in their thesis research. This research contributed to strengthen and develop the learning methodology for research methodology subject and thesis proposal seminars subject.
