Abstract

The development of digital technology has had a significant impact on the world of education, including Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The PAI curriculum is required to transform in order to remain relevant to the needs of students in the digital era and in line with the ever-changing social dynamics. This study aims to examine how digitalization is integrated into the PAI curriculum and its implications for strengthening character, mastering 21st-century competencies, and increasing learning effectiveness. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, which analyzes curriculum documents, previous research results, and relevant scientific literature. The results of the study show that the digitalization of the PAI curriculum can enrich learning strategies through the use of digital media, encourage student-centered learning, and strengthen Islamic values through contextual and collaborative approaches. However, this process also faces challenges such as low digital literacy of teachers, potential media misuse, and infrastructure gaps. Therefore, the development of an adaptive PAI curriculum for the digital era requires an active role from all stakeholders, so that religious education remains meaningful, relevant, and contributive in forming a generation that is faithful, knowledgeable, and has noble character.

Abstract

Termination of employment in Islamic educational institutions is a strategic challenge that affects the sustainability of the institution and the welfare of educators. This study aims to develop an innovative model of sharia-based termination procedures that is fair, humane, and in accordance with national law and Islamic principles. This study used a systematic literature study method with qualitative analysis of 10 primary sources consisting of journal articles published in the last ten years. The analysisfocused on the causes of employment termination, implementation procedures, psychological impacts, and variations in practice in the field. The results revealed that termination was generally triggered by declining enrolment, organizational restructuring, performance issues and budget constraints. Although most institutions have implemented formal procedures such as writtennotification and severance pay, the implementation of deliberation and transparency still varies. The psychological impactsexperienced by educators include decreased motivation and a sense of injustice, potentially lowering the professionalism of theremaining staff. This research offers a model of sharia-based termination procedures that integrates open deliberation, theestablishment of a multi-stakeholder mediation board, digitization of management systems, as well as collaboration with Islamicfinancial institutions. This model is a new contribution that emphasizes fairness, ethics, and efficiency.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between conformity and compliance with regulations among students at the Al-Fath Islamic Boarding School in Kediri City. Islamic boarding schools, as Islamic educational institutions, emphasize cognitive aspects and foster attitudes, behaviour, and discipline through strict rules. Students' compliance with regulations is influenced by internal and external factors, one of which is conformity, namely the tendency to adjust to group norms. The method used in this study is quantitative with a positivist approach, with a population of 150 students. The sample used was 30 respondents because it was less than 1000, so it used a margin of error of 5%. Data collection used random sampling techniques, questionnaire instruments, and SPSS analysis. The results of the study showed: (1) student compliance was in the moderate category (34.7% or 52 respondents), (2) the level of conformity was also moderate (37.3% or 56 respondents), and (3) the correlation value was -0.319 with a significance of 0.00 <0.05. Thus, a significant negative relationship exists between conformity and students' compliance with regulations at the Al-Fath Islamic Boarding School in Kediri City. The Islamic boarding school leadership can provide facilities in the form of community activities to foster harmony between individuals and groups, create discussion spaces to provide a transparent understanding of the rules to the students, and develop mentoring programs to help students understand and adapt to the environment and rules established by the Islamic boarding school.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of organizational commitment on the effect of participatory leadership and competency on teacher performance. This research consists of two independent variables, participatory leadership and competence, one mediating variable, organizational commitment, and one dependent variable, teacher performance. The research method used is quantitative. Explanative research approach with a survey approach. The test was carried out at the Tulungagung State Aliyah Madrasah with a total sample of 100. Data analysis in this study used Partial Least Square (PLS) analysis using Smart PLS. The results of the survey show that participatory leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance. Thus the higher the participatory leadership, the higher the teacher's performance. Teacher competence has a significant impact on teacher performance. Thus, the higher the teacher's competence, the higher the teacher's performance; this proves that teacher competence substantially affects organizational commitment. Likewise, the higher the teacher's competence, the higher the organizational commitment, as evidenced by the significant effect organizational commitment has on teacher performance. Meanwhile, as a mediating variable, the higher the organizational commitment, the higher the teacher's performance. These results can be a reference for anyone involved in the world of work, especially teachers, to strengthen commitment so that version can run well continuously.

Abstract

Competition in the world of education is inevitable, many educational institutions have been abandoned by customers, resulting in negative dynamics in several educational institutions. Meanwhile, Islamic educational institutions, especially schools, are still covered by second-class educational institutions with favorable levels below public educational institutions. There are still many people who lack or even do not know. Therefore, many changes must be made, especially institutions related to the pattern of management. Institutions as educational service providers need to learn and have the enthusiasm to increase customer satisfaction because education is a process that is face to face and continuous. The agency's initiative starts with finding out. In a world full of innovation, competition and expansion, the term marketing needs to be redefined. Marketing of educational services in institutions does not necessarily mean commercialization, but prioritizes the quality of education, and provides excellent service to its stakeholders, thereby providing satisfaction to the community which can be beneficial in increasing the "selling value" of the institution.

Abstract

This community service was initiated in response to the urgent need for strengthening character education in Islamic schools that currently face the challenges of globalization, modernization, and the moral decline among students. MTs Al Huda Bandung was selected as the partner institution due to its strong commitment to cultivating a religious culture grounded in the values of the Qur’an. The Qur’anic literacy program was designed as a managerial strategy to habituate students to read, understand, and internalize the teachings of the Qur’an into their daily behavior. The planning stage included the formulation of school policies, teacher training through the Ummi method of Qur’anic recitation to ensure standardized sanad, and the provision of Qur’ans and other supporting facilities. The program was implemented daily, from Monday to Friday at 07:30–09:10, with core activities including recitation of the Qur’an with tartil, memorization of Arabic vocabulary, memorization of selected hadiths, and Arabic writing practice. Teachers played an active role as guides, while students were fully involved through habituation and gradual mentoring. The outcomes demonstrated significant improvements in Qur’anic literacy skills, discipline, responsibility, religiosity, and social solidarity among students. Furthermore, the program fostered the development of a sustainable religious school culture, encouraged parental involvement in Qur’anic habituation at home, and built stronger collaboration between the school and the surrounding community. The future development of the program is directed toward the utilization of digital technology to enhance accessibility and effectiveness, as well as the strengthening of partnerships with educational stakeholders. Thus, the Qur’anic literacy program serves not only as a school routine but also as a strategic instrument in shaping an Islamic generation with strong character, noble morals, and readiness to face modern civilizational challenges.
