Abstract

Human fallibility to phishing is not the byproduct of ignorance anymore, but the one kept alive by the very structure of digital existence. The aesthetic of deception finds a fertile ground in the repetitiveness of trust, the aesthetic of familiarity, and fluid choreography of the communication process that occurs via a platform. The current paper investigates the effect that can be observed in students of Indonesian universities who, due to their exposure to mobile banking and messaging culture, do not regard phishing as a perversion but as something that may appear to be reality. The research, which is based on in-depth interviews, baffles the conclusion that deception is not triumphing with tricky technical challenges rather with social engineering that hopscotches through interpersonal pathways, uses institutional jargon, and play with emotional instinct. Subjects were not blind to the danger. They are weak, instead, because of the same set of circumstances that conditions them to act quickly, to accept as true signals that are visually consistent, and to place the value of the urgent ahead of checking. This evidence means that the issue is not the absence of awareness but the weakness of awareness in the face of pressure. Therefore, there is a need to change the way the digital vulnerability is thought of. Security should not be a personal issue that creates a vacuum out of a context. Rather, it needs to be regarded as a social/infrastructural question, one that is informed by design, by platform logic, by the relational predilections by which we characterize our everyday digital practice.

Abstract

Abstract

The telecommunications sector is a pivotal driver of Indonesia’s digital economic growth, particularly amid the rapid adoption of information and communication technologies. CV Digital Satelit Indonesia—a service enterprise specializing in telecommunications equipment repair—has expanded its operations by integrating Islamic economic principles. This study examines how service ethics, innovative pricing, and digital marketing influence business growth within a Sharia-compliant framework. Using a quantitative design, data from 50 purposively selected respondents were analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption checks, and t- and F-tests. Findings reveal that service ethics and price innovation have a statistically significant, positive impact on business development, while digital marketing shows no significant effect. Service ethics emerged as the strongest predictor (p = 0.001), indicating that delivery grounded in honesty, accountability, and integrity fosters greater trust and loyalty. The limited impact of digital marketing likely stems from promotional content lacking the emotional and spiritual depth needed to convey Islamic values effectively. Collectively, however, all independent variables significantly affect growth, highlighting the strategic value of embedding Sharia principles in service and pricing, alongside refining Islamic-oriented digital marketing to strengthen its persuasive capacity

Abstract

Abstract

The rattan craft industry in Tanjung Pasir Village, North Labuhanbatu Regency, has great economic potential. However, this industry faces various challenges, such as limited market access, competition with imported products, and limited capital and raw materials. This study aims to analyze the development strategy of the rattan craft industry based on the principles of Maqashid Sharia. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of field observations, in-depth interviews, and literature studies. This method was chosen to obtain a comprehensive understanding of the real conditions of the rattan craft industry and its development strategies within the Maqashid Sharia framework. The results of the study indicate that industrial development can be carried out through improving entrepreneur skills, utilizing technology, and implementing Maqashid Sharia values, such as Hifz al-Mal in financial management and Hifz an-Nafs in efforts to improve entrepreneur welfare. This strategy is expected to encourage the growth of the rattan industry in a sustainable manner in accordance with the principles of Maqashid Sharia.
