Abstract

This study examines the effect of social media use intensity and the quality of content received on self-confidence and its contribution to entrepreneurial intention in the higher education context. A quantitative research design was employed using a survey method, with a questionnaire distributed to 93 respondents selected through proportional random sampling. The study focuses on how social media exposure and the perceived quality of online content may shape students’ confidence in their ability to engage in entrepreneurial activities and develop entrepreneurial intention. The proposed model positions self-confidence as an important psychological factor that can strengthen the relationship between digital media exposure and entrepreneurial intention. The study is expected to provide insights for educators and academic institutions in designing learning support and digital literacy strategies that encourage students to use social media more productively for entrepreneurial development. It also emphasizes the importance of directing students not only toward understanding business concepts but also toward building confidence, initiative, and capability to start and sustain business activities.

Abstract

Unemployment remains a persistent challenge in developing economies, making entrepreneurship an increasingly important pathway for job creation, economic participation, and student career development. This study examines the direct and indirect effects of entrepreneurial knowledge and learning motivation on entrepreneurial intention, with entrepreneurial motivation positioned as a mediating variable. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data were collected from 152 students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Sebelas Maret, through a structured questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and path analysis with SPSS version 26. The findings show that learning motivation and entrepreneurial motivation have positive and significant effects on entrepreneurial intention, while entrepreneurial knowledge has a positive but statistically non-significant direct effect on entrepreneurial intention. Entrepreneurial knowledge and learning motivation were also found to have positive effects on entrepreneurial motivation, which subsequently strengthens students’ entrepreneurial intention. These results indicate that entrepreneurial intention is not shaped solely by cognitive understanding of entrepreneurship, but also by students’ motivation to learn and their internal motivation to engage in entrepreneurial activity. The study highlights the importance of entrepreneurship education that integrates knowledge development, motivational support, and practice-oriented learning experiences to strengthen students’ readiness to pursue entrepreneurship as a career option.

Abstract

This study examines the effects of creativity, environment, and capital on entrepreneurial intention, with motivation serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative approach was employed using survey data collected through questionnaires distributed to respondents selected by proportional random sampling. The study involved 109 respondents drawn from the target population in a higher education context. The data were analyzed to assess both the direct and indirect relationships among the proposed variables. The findings indicate that motivation has a significant direct effect on entrepreneurial intention and functions as the main mediating variable in the model. Creativity has a positive effect on motivation and contributes substantially to entrepreneurial intention through motivation. The environment also shows the strongest positive contribution to both motivation and entrepreneurial intention, while the effect of capital on entrepreneurial intention appears weaker than the other predictors. Overall, the model explains a substantial proportion of the variance in entrepreneurial intention, highlighting the central role of motivation in connecting individual, environmental, and resource-related factors to entrepreneurial outcomes. These findings suggest that efforts to strengthen entrepreneurial intention should not focus solely on financial resources, but also on fostering creativity, supportive environments, and stronger motivational readiness. The study offers practical implications for higher education institutions in designing entrepreneurship development programs that integrate personal capability, environmental support, and motivational reinforcement.

Abstract

Background. Higher education institutions are faced with demands to increase efficiency and security in administrative management, including management of student data, certification, transcripts, and others. With the many changes in student administration data and the importance of security and transparency in the administration process, blockchain technology has become a concern in providing innovative solutions in this regard. Purpose. This research aims to analyze the potential and benefits of implementing blockchain technology in higher education administrative management with a focus on security, efficiency and transparency. Method. Research Method: The research method used includes a literature study regarding information technology and higher education management, as well as a comprehensive analysis of blockchain implementation in managing student administrative data.    Results. The research results show that the implementation of blockchain technology in higher education administrative management can increase data security and transparency, reduce administrative costs, speed up the certification verification process, and enable the development of a more efficient administrative management system. Conclusion. In conclusion, this research confirms that blockchain technology has great potential to change the management paradigm of higher education administration by providing better data security, increasing process efficiency, and creating a more transparent and decentralized administrative environment. Thus, the implementation of blockchain technology in higher education administrative management can provide significant benefits in facing the complex challenges faced by these educational institutions.

Abstract

Background. Research Background The importance of occupational safety and health (OHS) standards to safeguard employee welfare and company performance, research on the review of companies' compliance with OHS through a field inspection approach is highly relevant. This background is due to the fact that OHS standards have been established and regulated, but companies' compliance with these standards is often inconsistent. Purpose. The objectives of this study are many-fold. As a first step, the study aimed to evaluate the company's level of compliance with applicable OHS standards. It is important to know the general level of compliance in the workplace. In addition, the purpose of the study was to find places where compliance may not be fully met. This identification can form the basis for improvement initiatives. Method. This study used the field inspection method, which involves a direct visit to a work site to observe and evaluate the implementation of occupational safety (OSH) standards. Data were collected through direct observation, interviews with relevant personnel, and examination of OHS-related documents. A sample of companies was randomly selected from various industrial sectors to represent a wider range of people. Results. According to the study, there are differences in the level of companies' compliance with OHS standards. While some companies have low levels of compliance, others still have low levels of compliance. Compliance is often breached in areas such as the use of personal protective equipment, emergency evacuation procedures, and handling of hazardous chemicals. Lack of OHS training, lack of management oversight, and high production priorities are some of the factors affecting compliance. Conclusion. In conclusion, this study emphasizes how important it is to improve OHS standards in companies to make the working environment safer and healthier. Suggested improvements include more OHS training, more management supervision, and more sanctions for OHS violations.
