Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop teaching methods that utilize infographics and Comic Life media to enhance students' interest in learning chemistry. These methods were found to be valid, practical, and effective for use in schools. The research is developmental in nature, employing data analysis techniques to validate the effectiveness and practicality of the developed media. The development process included a needs analysis, design phase, realization/construction phase, testing and evaluation, and implementation. The study's results led to the creation of infographic and Comic Life-based teaching methods that can be seamlessly integrated by teachers and students into the learning process. Instrument validation by experts involved several revisions, ensuring the final media were valid, effective, and practical for classroom use. The validation results showed an average validity score of 4.0. The practicality of these methods was confirmed by their ability to simplify the teaching process for educators and students alike. The methods' effectiveness was evidenced by positive student responses, with 70% strongly agreeing and 30% agreeing with the benefits of the new media. This study contributes to the field of educational methodology by providing innovative tools that merge visual media with traditional teaching, fostering greater student engagement and interest in chemistry. The findings underscore the potential of infographics and Comic Life media to transform how complex subjects are taught, offering new insights for future educational innovations.

Abstract

Elementary school libraries play a vital role as essential learning resources, offering diverse instructional materials that can greatly boost the reading interest of both teachers and students within the school community. These libraries also present continuous opportunities for expanding and deepening knowledge. This study focuses on creating a web-based library information system tailored for State Elementary School 108 Home Base. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which facilitates iterative feedback and enables swift adjustments during the development process. The research findings indicate that the implemented Library Information System has been positively received by its users. The system streamlines the book borrowing process for students and staff at State Elementary School 108 Home Base and makes it easier for library administrators to manage book loans, returns, and reporting tasks. This research makes a significant contribution to the field of educational technology by offering a practical and efficient web-based solution for school library management. The use of the RAD method in system development underscores the value of incorporating user feedback to create tools that address the unique needs of educational institutions. Additionally, this study sheds light on how technology can be utilized to improve library management in elementary schools, ultimately enhancing access to educational resources and fostering a more robust reading culture among students.

Abstract

Wafer merupakan salah satu teknologi pakan yang dibuat secara ringkas dan sederhana dengan mempertahankan komposisi nutrisi yang dibutuhkan, sehingga dapat menjadi pakan alternatif pada musim kemarau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas fisik wafer dengan campuran antara rumput gajah mini dengan legum indigofera. Bahan wafer pakan yang digunakan adalah rumput gajah mini dan legum indigofera dengan campuran bahan tambahan yang dicetak menggunakan mesin kempa bertekanan 200 kg cm-3. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan empat macam perlakuan (P1: 40% rumput gajah mini dan 60% indigofera; P2: 50% rumput gajah mini dan 50% indigofera; P3: 60% rumput gajah mini dan 40% indigofera; P4: 70% rumput gajah mini dan 30% indigofera) dan masing-masing lima kali ulangan. Data hasil diuji analisis varian (ANOVA) dan uji Duncan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komposisi bahan dasar wafer dengan campuran rumput gajah mini dan legum indigofera memberikan pengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kerapatan, berat jenis, daya serap air, dan ketahan benturan. Namun perlakuan ini tidak mempengaruhi kadar air. Simpulan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan komposisi 60% legum indigofera dan 40% rumput gajah mini menunjukkan kerapatan (0,51 ± 0,01 g cm-3), berat jenis (0,91 ± 0,01 g ml-1), daya serap air (96,31 ± 0,81%), dan ketahanan benturan (97,89 ± 0,50%) yang terbaik dibandingkan dengan yang lain Kata kunci: kualitas fisik, legum, rumput gajah mini, wafer pakan

Abstract

In the digital era, people are increasingly familiar with social media. This study aims to determine the effect of income, socio-economic status and social media on Islamic financial literacy of the people in Kota Kualasimpang District. This study used a quantitative method with data collection instruments through questionnaires. The sample used was 99 respondents who were the people of the Kualasimpang City District. The data analysis technique used consisted of multiple linear regression equations, coefficient of determination test, F test and t test. The research results obtained on the income variable with a coefficient of 0.147, socio-economic status variable with a coefficient of 0.398 and social media with a coefficient of 0.458, thus the value of income, socio-economic status and social media have a positive effect on financial literacy. The results of the t test on the income variable with a t sig value of 2.194, the socio-economic status variable with a t sig value of 5.447 and social media with a t sig value of 6.315, meaning that partially income, socio-economic status and social media have a significant effect on financial literacy. The results of the F test obtained the value of F count > F table (51.615> 2.70) meaning that simultaneously income, socio-economic status and social media have a significant effect on financial literacy. The test results for the coefficient of determination were obtained at 0.608 or 60.8% income, socio-economic status and social media affect financial literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa melalui model pembelajaran Inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dengan jumlah siswa 18 orang. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode tindakan kelas yang terdiri dari dua siklus setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan pengamatan dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan memberikan tes akhir setiap siklus, mengisi lembar aktivitas siswa selama pembelajaran dan lembar keterlaksanaan penelitian pada siklus I dan siklus II, analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan stastistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa terlihat dari hasil tes akhir siklus I 50% meningkat pada siklus II dengan persentase 88,88% dan juga dapat dilihat dari observasi aktivitas siswa dengan meningkatnya indikator-indikator yang meliputi delapan aspek serta adanya peningkatan keterlaksanaan peneliti dalam mengajar dari siklus I ke siklus II. Dari data tersebut disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pemebelajaran Inquiry terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mengalami peningkatan yaitu dengan kriteria ketuntasan 75% pada materi Segiempat dan Segitiga kelas VII SMP YPI PGRI Makassar

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh Perkawinan yang tidak dicatatkan mengakibatkan banyak anak yang tidak tercatat di catatan sipil. Imbasnya anak tidak memiliki indentitas karena UU No. 23 Tahun 2006 tentang Administrasi Kependudukan mensyaratkan pengajuan akta kelahiran harus disertai dokumen perkawinan dari negara.. Anak adalah harta dunia yang sekaligus juga merupakan rahmat dan cobaan dari Allah SWT. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode penelitian metode penelitian library research atau penelitian kepustakaan. Mengenai penelitian semacam ini lazimnya juga disebut “Legal Research” atau “Legal Research Instruction”. Adapun kesimpulan yang didapatkan yaitu Putusan Mahkamah Konstitusi tersebut mengaburkan ketentuan-ketentuan mengenai anak luar kawin/anak zina, baik yang terdapat di dalam UU No. 1/1974 maupun KHI. Penyadaran kepada masyarakat akan pentingnya keluarga sebagai dasar yang kuat dari suatu bangsa, karena masih belum adanya ketegasan dari pemerintah selaku pihak yang berwenang apakah akan melegalkan atau melarang pernikahan secara siri atau di bawah tangan. Serta saran yang penulis berikan adalah Anak sebagai generasi bangsa haruslah dilindungi hak-haknya.

Abstract

The problem that occurs is that household waste continues to increase along with the development of population and the number of increasingly dense settlements. The existence of this household waste is of concern to the community and the government because it can cause various negative impacts. Based on the results of observations of the existing trash cans, the accumulation of household waste is the source of this unpleasant odor. Smell is connoted as something that tends to disturb comfort, and gives the impression of being unclean and the like, such as fishy, rotten, urine, rancid, and so on. The smell of burning garbage is also dangerous because it contains H2 which reduces the amount of oxygen in the air. This study aims to prevent the occurrence of unpleasant odors from garbage. The tool will be designed using the NodeMCU microcontroller with website-based monitoring and Whatsapp notifications automatically when the trash can is full and automatic deodorizing powder spraying according to the concentration of gas released by the stench. This study uses the Experimental and Comparative Testing method in designing an IoT-based Smart Trash Bin tool and conducting tests on the built system and comparing the test results with the expected system. The results of this study indicate that the Smart Trash Bin tool can work and function as expected, namely being able to minimize the unpleasant odor emitted by the trash can and being able to monitor the sprinkling of deodorizing powder, the status of the height of the trash can and can provide notifications both automatically and manual to officers through the website.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pengaruh kinerja karyawan terhadap kesuksesan perusahaan, dengan fokus pada faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi produktivitas dan efisiensi kerja. Kinerja karyawan merupakan elemen kunci dalam menentukan keberhasilan perusahaan dalam mencapai tujuan strategis, termasuk peningkatan produktivitas, pengembangan inovasi, serta peningkatan kepuasan pelanggan. Studi ini mengadopsi metode studi literatur untuk menganalisis berbagai teori dan temuan penelitian yang relevan, guna mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor utama yang berkontribusi terhadap kinerja karyawan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa lingkungan kerja yang mendukung, kepemimpinan yang inspiratif, sistem kompensasi yang transparan dan adil, serta budaya organisasi yang positif memainkan peran penting dalam mendorong produktivitas dan efisiensi. Selain itu, pemberdayaan karyawan melalui pelatihan dan pengembangan keterampilan juga menjadi aspek yang signifikan. Dengan pengelolaan yang efektif terhadap faktor-faktor ini, perusahaan dapat menciptakan sumber daya manusia yang kompeten, yang pada akhirnya memperkuat daya saing dan mendukung keberlanjutan pertumbuhan perusahaan di masa depan.

Abstract

This research was conducted at the Biotechnology Research and Testing Lab of the Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Padjadjaran University, and the Rice Standard Instrument Testing Center (BBPSI Padi), Subang Regency, West Java starting on September 20 to December 22, 2023. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the hipure Kit in isolating grass Deoxyribo Nucleic Acid (DNA) by ensuring adequate concentration and cleanliness of samples from contaminants for subsequent molecular applications. The ideal DNA concentration for PCR is 20-50 ng/µL, with an A260/A280 absorbance ratio of about 1.8-2.0 and an A260/A230 ratio above 2.0, indicating the absence of contamination from proteins, salts, carbohydrates, or other organic compounds. The methodology of this study was a descriptive exploration involving descriptive statistical analysis to evaluate the variation in DNA concentration between samples, using spreadsheet software to facilitate data management. The results of the Nanodrop spectrophotometric analysis showed that there variations in DNA concentration between samples, but generally within a range adequate for laboratory applications such as PCR and sequencing. In addition, the HiPure Plant DNA Kit proved effective in producing high-concentration DNA with clear and defined DNA bands in electrophoresis and effectively minimizing contaminants. Further optimization of the extraction protocol, such as adjusting the incubation time or buffer concentration, is recommended to improve DNA concentration and purity. This step will ensure higher DNA quality for downstream applications such as PCR.

Abstract

Palm fronds are a crop commodity that generates substantial amounts of waste that is utilized in agricultural industries. Palm frond waste can be processed into animal feed and serve as an effort to reduce environmental pollution caused by palm oil production. Given its potential, it warrants further testing, but it contains numerous detrimental anti-nutritional compounds if consumed directly by livestock. Therefore, using proximate analysis, fermentation processing using bacteria such as Lactobacillus plantarum and Pediococcus pentosaceus must be done. This study was conducted at the Laboratory for Development of Industrial Agricultural & Biomedical Techniques (LAPTIAB), National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) from November 1, 2023 to February 29, 2024. The experimental design was a complete randomized block design including treatments like control, Lactobacillus plantarum, Pediococcus pentosaceus, and consortium analyzed via DMRT (Duncan’s Multiple Range Test). Results showed that adding Lactobacillus plantarum to palm fronds resulted in the lowest reduction of crude fibre content by 45.59%, without affecting crude protein, crude fat, or nitrogen-free extract contents. It can be concluded that using Lactobacillus plantarum and Pediococcus pentosaceus in the fermentation process of palm fronds has no natural effect on the content of crude protein, crude fat, and BETN. However, the lactic acid bacteria can reduce the content of crude fibre fermented palm fronds.
