Abstract

Early Childhood Education (ECE) plays a crucial role in shaping children's character and moral foundation. One of the key aspects that supports this is religious education, which, through a curriculum based on Islamic values, instills noble character from an early age. This study aims to examine the implementation of curriculum management based on the Ke'Aisyiyahan values at TK Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal 32 Banjarmasin. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, this research explores the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum that integrates the Merdeka Curriculum with Islamic values. The findings indicate that curriculum planning is carried out through internal workshops that align the Merdeka Curriculum with the Ke'Aisyiyahan Guidelines. The learning process is conducted using thematic methods and projects that instill religious values, such as love for plants and daily prayers. Evaluation is performed regularly through weekly observations, which are then discussed in monthly evaluation meetings to adjust teaching strategies. This study provides insights into the implementation of a values-based curriculum in ECE, focusing on the development of Islamic character and emotional intelligence from an early age. This curriculum is expected to shape students who are not only intellectually capable but also possess strong character and high spirituality.

Abstract

The tourist village is one of the natural resources that have the potential to be developed, given the increasing needs of the community, and one of them is a vacation. To form a tourism village, a set of components is needed which consists of management and participation of the community, education about tourists, and good relations with work partners in order to increase people's income. Nateh Village is one of the tourist destinations that promises a lot of natural scenery such as rivers, mountains, and beautiful caves. However, there are still many tourists who are not familiar with this village because the introduction to this village is still lacking. For this reason, the South Kalimantan community sevice team carried out community service in Nateh Village in the form of training on the potential of tourism villages through smart tourism and market digitization. The introduction of tourist villages can be done by using smart tourism as branding for a tourist destination and processed products through digital-based offers and marketing that we often hear with the term tourism digitization. Through this community sevice activity, marketing about the potential of the Nateh tourist village becomes more and more easily found on various social media such as Instagram, Facebook, and websites that directly managed to introduce Nateh village.

Abstract

Humanistic principal leadership is essential for fostering inclusive Early Childhood Education (ECE), yet remains underexplored in Indonesia’s inclusive schools. This study examined how principals practice humanistic leadership in two inclusive kindergartens in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, to support diverse learning environments. Using a descriptive qualitative design, data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews with two principals, eight teachers, four parents, and document analysis at Pelita Hati and Bina Sejahtera Kindergartens. Thematic analysis followed Miles and Huberman’s framework. Results show humanistic leadership is reflected in embracing diversity, building supportive environments, and facilitating collaboration. Principals lead through participatory decision-making, empathy, care, and promoting each child’s potential, shaping an inclusive, humanistic school culture. The study offers insights into how humanistic leadership operates in inclusive ECE, providing a practical reference for principals and policymakers to strengthen inclusive, child-centered education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of learning motivation and collaboration skills, which leads to a lack of variety in learning models and student engagement. This study aims to describe learning motivation and analyze collaboration skills through the application of the PRESTASI model. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) in three meetings, with 12 fifth-grade students of SDN 6 Tanjung in the second semester of the 2024/2025 academic year as subjects. The approach used is qualitative and quantitative, with data obtained through observation, interviews, and tests. The results show that student learning motivation increased from "A small portion of students are highly motivated" to "All students are highly motivated," and collaboration skills from "A small portion are skilled" to "All students are skilled." This has an impact on improving learning outcomes in the classroom. The PRESTASI model has been proven effective in improving the quality of learning and is recommended as an alternative teaching strategy.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the mentoring program for the implementation of the e-BANGKIT Android-based application for teachers in the Aluh-aluh Teacher Working Group (KKG) in carrying out the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) based on local wisdom. The program was motivated by the limited educational infrastructure in wetland areas, which hampers efficiency in administration and documentation of learning. The applied methods included workshops, intensive training, field assistance, the establishment of digital school driving teams, and periodic evaluations. These stages were designed to enhance teachers’ digital literacy, strengthen competencies in integrating technology, and ensure the program’s sustainability after the mentoring phase. The results show that the use of e-BANGKIT simplifies P5 administration, improves teachers’ skills in managing digital data, and facilitates systematic documentation of local wisdom–based activities. Moreover, the formation of digital school driving teams plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuity of application utilization. In conclusion, this mentoring program successfully strengthened teachers’ digital literacy, supported the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, and provided a practical solution to overcome educational infrastructure limitations in the Aluh-aluh region.

Abstract

Efforts to achieve quality and effective early childhood education continue to demand focused attention, particularly in regions with limited resources. This qualitative study examines effective early childhood education institutions from an educational management perspective, utilizing a descriptive case study design involving three schools in South Kalimantan, Indonesia. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model with triangulation to ensure credibility. The study explores three central aspects: the role of principals’ leadership in cultivating effective school culture, strategies for managing learning environments, and the implementation of quality assurance systems. Findings indicate that effective early childhood education institutions are distinguished by transformational leadership practices adapted to local contexts, incorporating idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. Holistic learning environment management includes the use of learning centers, positive discipline, strategic physical space organization, efficient time management, creative resource utilization, and the promotion of a supportive socio-emotional climate. Additionally, robust quality assurance is achieved through the application of Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) cycles, authentic assessment, detailed documentation, and collaborative stakeholder engagement. The study concludes that the effectiveness of early childhood education institutions is driven not by material wealth or location but by the synergy of adaptive leadership, child-centered learning environment management, and participatory quality assurance mechanisms. These findings offer practical insights for policymakers and educators seeking to strengthen early childhood education in diverse and resource-limited contexts.
