Abstract

This research is conducted on the basis that ethnomathematics is a bridge between mathematics and culture, and the ethnomathematics approach is one way to bridge the gap between that. Ethnomathematics has begun to be integrated in the curriculum 2013 and has an important to improving the quality of mathematics learning. This research is a qualitative by using descriptive methods and document analysis design. The research object is the mathematics student book and 18 grade IV students as research subjects. The research instruments used assessment document sheets, teacher and student activities observation sheets, student response questionnaires, and teacher response interview sheets. The results of this research indicate that mathematics student book curriculum 2013 revised 2018 for class IV can be implemented with an ethnomathematics approach, and the application of the ethnomathematics approach is one of solution to innovate and creative creating to a meaningful form of mathematics learning.

Abstract

Teaching materials, one of which is books, are essential components in the learning process. Conceptual errors of a textbook will result in errors in students' understanding. For this reason, the evaluation of the 2018 Revised Edition of the Class V Elementary School Mathematics Student Book using the bell's criteria aimed to assess the quality of the material contained in the book. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method with a content analysis design. The object of this research is the document of mathematics students' books and students who use the book. The instruments used are interview guidelines and evaluation sheets. The study result, the quality of the 2018 Revised Edition of the Class V Elementary School Mathematics Student Book based on the bell's criteria has good quality. Because almost all of the material presented has met the bell's criteria.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the lack of mathematical connection skills of students, mathematical connection ability is one of the skills that must be possessed by students in learning mathematics. In learning also students need to have self-efficacy to increase self-confidence in learning. Learning by using the connected mathematics project model is one option that can be used to improve students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy of students using the connected mathematics project model, to determine the differences in mathematical connection abilities and student self-efficacy in the experimental and control classes, and to determine the relationship between mathematical connection ability and focus-efficacy. The research method in this study is a quasi experimental with nonequivalent control group design. The population used is the 4th grade students of elementary school in Kertasemaya District. While the sample used was the 4th grade students of SDN 1 Tulungagung as the experimental class and Kertasemaya 1 Elementary School as the control class. After conducting research for three meetings, mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy in both classes increased. The increase in mathematical connection ability in the experimental class is better than the control class, while self-efficacy in the control class has improved better than the experimental class. Even though both of them experienced an increase, there was no significant difference between the two classes, between mathematical connection ability and self-efficacy also had no relationship. Thus, it can be seen that the connected mathematics project model and conventional models have a positive influence on students' mathematical connection skills and self-efficacy.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dalam memahami materi volume bangun ruang dapat dikategorikan masih rendah. Hal tersebut terlihat dari kesulitan-kesulitan yang dialami siswa SD dalam memahami materi volume bangun ruang balok dan kubus. maka dari itu, dilakukan sebuah penelitian untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa pada materi volume bangun ruang balok dan kubus. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan desain Cross-sectional Survey. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman matematis. Dari hasil analisis tes, terlihat bahwa siswa mengalami kesulitan pada saat menyebutkan unsur-unsur balok, melakukan perhitungan volume, dan menyelesaikan soal cerita mengenai volume. Dari hasil analisis tes menunjukkan persentase ketercapaian siswa pada kemampuan pemahaman mekanikal sebesar 28,99%, sedangkan pemahaman induktif 7,50%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan tingkat kemampuan pemahaman matematis siswa dari tiga sekolah dasar masih berada pada tahap pemahaman mekanikal.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk 1) mengetahui pengaruh disposisi matematis terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa dan 2) mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh disposisi matematis terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif menggunakan metode survey dengan jumlah sampel kelas III SD di Kecamatan Cimaung sebanyak 140 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah angket tertutup untuk mengukur variabel disposisi matematis dan dokumentasi berupa nilai rapor untuk mengetahui hasil belajar matematika. Angket disposisi matematis berjumlah 17 pernyataan yang sebelumnya telah melakukan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Simpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini yaitu, 1) adanya pengaruh positif disposisi matematis terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas III SD di Kecamatan Cimaung, 2) besar pengaruh disposisi matematis terhadap hasil belajar siswa adalah 9%.

Abstract

Mathematical understanding and communication skills in Indonesia are still low. Less effective mathematics learning can cause students' understanding and communication skills to below. It takes the right learning method in teaching mathematics. Project-based learning in online learning will be able to improve mathematical understanding and communication skills because the student become a center of learning and students learn from their own experiences. This research aims to find out the improvement of mathematical understanding and mathematical communication skills of fifth grade students with project-based learning in online learning on geometrymaterials, to find out the difference in improving the mathematical understanding and mathematical communication skills of fifth grade students between project-based learning in online learning and conventional learning in spatial geometrymaterials, and to find out the response of class V students to the application of project-based learning in online learning. The research uses a quasi-experimental design method and the design is the nonequivalent control group design. The research population is all fifth grade students in North Sumedang District, with research samples is Grade V students at SDN Lembursitu (project-based learning in online learning) and SDN Bendungan II (conventional learning). The conclusions from this research are 1) Project-based learning in online learning can improve the mathematical understanding and mathematical communication skills of fifth grade students in geometrymaterials, 2) Project-based learning in online learning is significantly better in improving the ability of mathematical understanding and mathematical communication of fifth grade students in geometrymaterials, 3) Project-based learning in online learning gets a positive response from students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the ability to understand and solve mathemadarical problems using the Problem Based Learning approach in fracdarion material. This study used a quasi-experimental method and design research design for nonquivalent control groups. The study populadarion was all class II Cisarua sub-districts with samples of class II experimental class students at SDN Cisalak II and class II students at SDN Cisalak III in the control class. The conclusions of this study: 1) Problem Based Learning with the content of the local culture of Sumedang Regency to improve understanding skills, 2) Problem Based Learning with the contents of the local culture of Sumedang Regency to improve mathemadarical problem solving abilidaries 3) Problem Based Learning with the local culture of Sumedang Regency improve understanding and problem solving skills mathemadarically compared to convendarional learning.

Abstract

This research was taken because of the mistake of understanding the data processing concept, and lack of learning motivation in elementary students. Most of students immediately given questions in the form of data, students are not taught how to get a way where the data came from. The steps that are suitable to improve the ability of mathematical understanding and learning motivation of students on data processing material by using the Cooperative Type Two Stay Two Stray approach. Two Stay Two Stray is one type of learning from a cooperative approach. The purpose of the research conducted was to see the effect of using the Cooperative Two Stay Two Stray approach to the ability of mathematical understanding and student motivation in data processing material. This research used a quasi-experimental method using Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The population is all fourth grade elementary school students in Ujungjaya District, Sumedang Regency. While the sample was fourth grade students at SDN Cibuluh and fourth grade students at SDN Trijaya. The instrument used was a test of the learning outcomes of mathematical understanding, the scale of learning motivation, the observation format of teacher performance, and the observation format of student activities. The results of the research with a significance level = 0,05, showed that the Cooperative Two Stay Two Stray approach was better at improving students’ mathematical comprehension and learning motivation in the data processing material than learning that has been done in the control class using conventional learning.Keywords: Cooperative Type Two Stay Two Stray, understanding and motivation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dibuat untuk mengetahui pengaruh dalam kemandirian belajar terhadap prestasi belajar. Metode yang dipakai pada peneltian ini adalah survey dengan analisis korelasional dan berdasarkan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan tujuan untuk melihat ada tidaknya pengaruh antara kemandirian belajar dengan prestasi belajar serta seberapa besar hubungannya. Penelitian ini mengambil populasi di SDN Balimaster 01 di Kota Jakarta dan 27 sample di kelas IV-B. Instrumen yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu angket 30 item pernyataan dan wawancara 11 item untuk guru dan 10 item untuk siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa faktor penghambat kemandirian belajar adalah siswa merasa kesulitan dan kurang memahami bagaimana cara menggunakan rumus matematika, terdapat pengaruh yang positif antara kemandirian belajar dengan prestasi belajar matematika sebesar 23% dipengaruhi faktor kemandirian dan 77% dipengaruhi faktor yang lain, upaya guru untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika yang memberikan metode pembelajaran yang efektif.

Abstract

Mathematics is a science that applies continuously and universally. Because mathematics is obtained based on reasoning. The mathematical concept that is learned through reasoning  is  very  helpful  for  humans  in  matters  of  daily  life.  The  scope  of  the mathematical material taught in elementary school is geometry, one of which is many facets. To master material as much as it is regular and irregular, it requires the ability of mathematical  understanding  to  master  it.  Determining  a  lot  correctly  needs  to  be believed, because there are some students who are not confident in the results that have been calculated. One of the efforts to improve students' mathematical understanding and self-efficacy is to use the CTL (Contextual Teaching Learning) approach. This study used a group control pretest-posttest group design, with a fourth grade sample at SDN 3Arjawinangun Cirebon. This study aims to determine the effect of the CTL approach to comprehension  and  self-efficacy,  knowing  the  effect  of  conventional  approaches  to comprehension and self-efficacy and knowing the correlation between comprehension and self-efficacy. The results of this study are posttest scores on the ability of understanding and self-efficacy in the experimental class and the control experienced an increase from the results of the value of the pretest of comprehension and self-efficacy. In addition there is an increase in N-Gain on the results of the pretest and posttest results. But there is no correlation  between  the  ability  of  mathematical  understanding  and  self-efficacy.  The conclusions obtained from this study are 1) there is a positive effect of the CTL approach on the ability of mathematical understanding and self-efficacy, 2) there is a positive effect of conventional approaches on mathematical understanding and self-efficacy abilities, 3) there is a correlation between mathematical and self-understanding abilities efficacy.
