Abstract

Public literacy regarding Sharia-compliant gold financing products is stillrelatively low, leading to misperceptions regarding the application procedures andbenefits of halal investments at Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) Pandaan Branch Office,Pasuruan. This community service activity aims to improve customer and prospectivecustomer understanding of the procedures, contracts, and economic and shariacompliant benefits of gold financing through a participatory and educational approach. The outreach program was conducted in November 2025 in the Pandaan area with thecoordination center at BSI Pandaan Branch Office, involving four implementers: Hirda,Wirda, Fida, and Lail. The implementation method included identifying needs throughinitial interviews, developing simple materials, educational presentations, two-waydiscussions, simulating the application process, distributing brochures, and evaluatingthrough a quick survey. The results of the activity showed a significant increase inparticipant understanding, including an increase in understanding of financingprocedures from 45% to 85%, understanding of benefits from 50% to 88%, and anincrease in interest in applying in the next three months from 35% to 72%. Thesefindings indicate that interactive educational methods based on simulations anddiscussions are effective in increasing literacy, reducing perceived process complexity, and increasing trust in financing products. However, this activity has severallimitations: participants can only be present in the bank area and the evaluation canonly be conducted within a short time. Overall, this program is a strategic effort toincrease knowledge about Islamic finance and halal investment culture in the Pandaancommunity. Keywords: Gold financing, Islamic financial literacy, educational socialization,Bank Syariah Indonesia, halal investment, Pandaan

Abstract

The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Riau Province faces challenges in objectively evaluating dakwah (Islamic preaching) as its existing Peta Dakwah Cerdas (PDC) system lacks a feature to analyze congregant feedback. This study aims to design and implement a topic modeling model to identify the main hidden themes within congregant opinions. The study utilized 2,581 comments collected from the MUI Riau Smart Evaluation System. The methodology involved text preprocessing, Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF) word weighting, and topic modeling using the Non-Negative Matrix Factorization (NMF) algorithm. Toward determine the optimal number of topics (k), the model was evaluated using Coherence Score to measure semantic readability and Silhouette Score to measure the resulting topic separation. The experiment identified two topics (k=2) as the best configuration achieving a high Coherence Score of 0.7023 and a Silhouette Score of 0.0163. The two main topics formed represent (1) Prayers and Greetings for the Preacher, and (2) Congregant Participation and Appreciation for the Dakwah. The application of NMF proved effective in identifying thematic patterns in congregant opinions and can serve as a foundation for MUI Riau to develop a real-time Islamic preaching evaluation system.

Abstract

The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Riau Province plays an important role in dakwah (Islamic preaching) development, yet its evaluation methods remain limited. Understanding congregant feedback is crucial, but manually analyzing thousands of comments is ineffective. This research aims to apply topic modeling to automatically identify the main themes within congregant opinions. The algorithm used is Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA), analyzing 2,581 comments collected from the MUI Riau Smart Evaluation System. The research phase involved text preprocessing, such as cleaning, case folding, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming to produce clean data. This data was then converted into a Bag-of-Words (BoW) representation as input for the LDA model. The optimal number of topics was determined through evaluation using Coherence Score and Perplexity. Experimental results show that a configuration with 16 topics provides the best balance between semantic coherence and model generalizability, with a Coherence Score of 0.5008 and a Perplexity of -7.7787. The identified topics reflect diverse aspects, including prayers, appreciation for preachers, respect, discussions on Islamic values, and spiritual reflections. The LDA method proved effective in extracting thematic patterns from congregant opinions, providing a foundation for developing a real-time evaluation system.

Abstract

IPAS teaching modules based on the STEM approach are still not widely found in the independent curriculum, especially in the lower elementary school grades. The IPAS teaching module based on the STEM approach can help students learn with a new approach to improve their ability to ask questions for students. The study aims to analyze the level of validity of the STEM approach-based IPAS teaching module on Healthy Living Behavior material to improve the ability to ask phase A students. This type of research is development research (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which has stages in the form of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The research was carried out at SDN 1 Tanjungmojo with the research object of 41 students in class II, with details of 22 boys and 19 girls. Data collection methods were interviews, questionnaires, tests, and observations. The validation analysis of the teaching module was carried out using the Aiken Index. The results showed that the STEM approach-based IPAS teaching module on healthy living behavior material at the validation stage obtained a result of 0.96 on the teaching module component, 0.98 on material validation, and 0.97 on language validation. This shows that the validity of the STEM-based IPAS teaching module on healthy living behavior material meets high criteria, so it is suitable for use in learning IPAS in phase A elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of interactive multimedia to increase student motivation and achievement in learning Islamic Education. This research uses a qualitative method. The informants of this research are the Principal, Deputy Head of Curriculum, teachers, and students. The data collection techniques used in this research are in-depth interviews, observation, and documentary studies. Qualitative data analysis used are data condensation, data display, and verifications. This research uses source and method triangulation techniques to check the validity of the data. The results of this study are: (1) Teachers develop multimedia learning videos using the material and local wisdom. The video is edited with Windows Movie Maker and Kine-master applications. The videos are used in offline and online learning; (2) Interactive PowerPoint multimedia maximizes the hyperlink feature, so that it can be combined with various other sources such as: youtube, websites, images, quizzes, animations, and others; (3) A special team designs google forms. This media is also used as an evaluation, announcement, and survey. The constraints of interactive multimedia utilization are that the internet network is not smooth, not all students have personal mobile phones, lack of parental awareness, and not all teachers can develop their google forms.
