Abstract

Social media-based campaings have become one of the effective strategies to raise students awareness of social issues, such as mental health, digital literacy, and environmental concerns. This study aims to educate students of SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu on utilizing social media positively through educational programs and social campaings conducted as part og the Kuliah Kerja Nyata Tematik (KKNT) program by Universitas Dehasen Bengkulu. The methods employed in this research indclude an initial survey to understand students needs, training sessions to enhance an initial survey to understand students needs, training sessions to enhance their skills, production of educational content, publications through social media platforms, and evalution to measrue the effectiveness of the activities. The results indicate an improvementin students understanding of the concept of digital social campaigns and their creativity in producing educational content. Additionally, the students showed enthusiasm in disseminating positive messages via social media. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening digital literacy programs in schools to support the sustainability of social media-based campaigns. Thus, students can transform from passive consumers to active producers of content that positively contributes to their social environment.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide education so that students are wiser in using social media and the importance of access and adoption of healthy and safe internet technology, so that they can become smart citizens in the digital era and take part as smart digital citizens in the wider community and play an active role in issues important issues that are in a global context. The community service team at Dehasen University Bengkulu in collaboration with the Department of Education and Culture of Central Bengkulu Regency, Bengkulu Province and the Bengkulu Regional Police Public Relations provided counseling with material on digital literacy, namely media literacy, digital-based information retrieval, the concept of smart digital citizenship, and hoax news to SMA/SMK/MA students throughout the district. Bengkulu Tengah Bengkulu Province is located at SMAN 1 Bengkulu Tengah. This activity went well and is expected to make a positive contribution to creating intelligent and ethical individuals in the digital era.

Abstract

SMPN 6 Central is a junior high school educational institution in Central Bengkulu. This school has a lot of data related to academic activities, for example student graduation data. These data have not been utilized as fully as possible, for example to predict student graduation, so that action can be taken to maximize preparation for the final exam. This research was conducted to design an application system using a classification technique that can process large amounts of data to find patterns that occur in student data. The data processing is used to predict student graduation. The classification technique used is the decision tree with the implementation of C4.5 algorithm. The input used is in the form of attributes from student data including semester from semester 1 to 6, skills scores and National Standard School Examination scores (USBN). Therefore, to make it easier to predict the graduation rate, an application testing uses data on students who have graduated from 2019 to 2020, totaling 100 students and the results of testing from 2021 to 2022, totaling 81 students. The knowledge gained from the results of the application training is expected to be utilized by the management of SMPN 6 Central Bengkulu as a more effective decision-making tool in planning and preparing for students' final exams. Based on the results of the tests carried out, it can be concluded that this application can predict student graduation at SMPN 6 Central Bengkulu.

Abstract

The health status of the elderly which declines with age will affect the quality of life of the elderly. Increasing age will be accompanied by the emergence of various diseases, decreased body function, body balance and the risk of falling. Research objectives: To analyze whether there is an effect of giving Square Stepping Exercise and Ankle Strategy Exercise to changes in the level of dynamic balance of the elderly. Research method: The design of this study is Quasi Experimental using "one group pretest posttest" which aims to determine the effect of Ankle strategy and Square Stepping Exercise in improving the dynamic balance of the elderly. Respondents given treatment in this study were Square Stepping Exercise and Ankle Strategy Exercise. Results: processed using SPSS with the normality test of the Shapiro Wilk test to determine the distribution of the data. Next, hypothesis testing was carried out. The subjects were women with 20 people with a percentage of 66.7% and 10 men with a percentage of 33.3%. initial treatment by getting a mean value of 65.70. the final condition of the subject obtained a mean value of 13.27. probability p0.05 was normal and statistical analysis was used parametric. the shapiro-wilk test results from the pre test, namely p0.117 and post-test p0.386. Conclusion: Paired Sample T-test The result is p0.001. Based on the research conducted, it is concluded that the exercise strategy and square stepping can improve balance in the elderly.

Abstract

Nyerii punggung bawah didefenisikan sebagai nyeri dan ketidaknyamanan di bawah batas costae dan di atas lipatan glutealis inferirior, dengan atau tanpa nyeri yang menjalar ke kaki. Nyeri  punggung  bawah  termasuk occuptional  disease  yang disebabkan oleh  posisi kerja  dan lingkungan kerja. Nyeri punggung bawah termasuk dalam penyakit  penyebab disabilitas.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi dan karakteristik nyeri punggung bawah pada petani. Metode Penelitian ini bersifat deskripti yang dilakukan dengan menggunakan data primer dari kuesioner dengan sampel berjumlah 50 pada petani. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari 47 dari 50 responden  memenuhi kriteria inklusi diidapat nyeri punggung bawah paling besar kejadiannya pada responden yang berjenis kelamin perempuan (54,16%), dengan indeks massa tubuh normal (45,83%), dan rentang usia >40 tahun (58,33%). Dengan karakteristik nyeri punggung bawah yang tidak menjalar (58,3%),  nyeri punggung bawah akut (87,5%), dan kategori tingkat keparahan nyeri no disability (54,16%). Dan Dari 47 responden yang termasuk dalam kriteria inklusi pada penelitian ini, terdapat 24 (51,06%) responden yang mengalami nyeri punggung bawah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA kelas XII di kota Bengkulu pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi Peluang. Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) merupakan model pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan kerjasama kelompok. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan menggunakan pre-test dan post-test. Untuk kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC), rata-rata skor pre-test sebelum pembelajaran adalah 62,5, sementara rata-rata skor post-test setelah pembelajaran meningkat menjadi 85,3. Selisih ini menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 22,8 poin, yang merupakan indikasi positif bahwa model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) berkontribusi signifikan terhadap pemahaman materi Peluang oleh siswa SMA. Pada kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional, peningkatan hasil belajar juga terlihat, namun dengan selisih yang lebih kecil, yaitu dari rata-rata skor pre-test 63,0 menjadi 74,2 pada post-test, dengan peningkatan sebesar 11,2 poin. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep-konsep matematis di kalangan siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the extent to which librarian competence influences the quality of library services at the Library and Archives Office of Bengkulu Province. Librarian competence plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality information services to the public. This quantitative descriptive study employed data collection through questionnaires and documentation, involving 96 library users selected using incidental sampling. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal a very strong correlation between librarian competence (independent variable) and service quality (dependent variable), with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.854 and a determination coefficient (R²) of 0.729. This indicates that 72.9% of the variation in service quality is influenced by librarian competence, while the remaining 27.1% is influenced by other factors. The t-test confirms that this effect is statistically significant. These results highlight the importance of developing librarian competence, particularly in management, interpersonal communication, and information technology skills, as key strategies to improve public library service quality.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Hajj registration service in 2023 at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Office in Bengkulu City. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Four informants participated, including two ministry staff and two prospective pilgrims. Data analysis referred to Sondang P. Siagian’s eight indicators of effectiveness: clarity of goals, strategy, policy formulation, planning, appropriate programming, infrastructure availability, efficient execution, and educational supervision. Results show that the service was generally effective, though limited human resources and suboptimal technology use remain challenges. Available facilities such as waiting rooms, bank counters, and digital tools like Haji Pintar and Siskohat significantly supported the registration process. The study recommends improving staff capacity and enhancing digital system utilization to achieve more efficient service delivery.

Abstract

This study investigates the utilization of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in content creation among students at SMPN 17 Bengkulu City. Recognizing the growing significance of AI in our daily lives, the study aims to address the limited awareness and application of AI tools among these students. The research focuses on introducing AI concepts and providing practical training to students on leveraging AI for creative content development. The findings reveal a positive impact, with students demonstrating increased understanding, enthusiasm, and a newfound ability to utilize AI effectively in their digital creative endeavors.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is one of the student community service programs at Dehasen University. In 2025, KKN emphasizes the development of student creativity as well as an understanding of the conditions and potential of the target community. One of the main issues raised is the low reading interest among students in Indonesia, which remains a serious problem despite the increasing access to information through technology. This research uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach to describe the understanding of school community members regarding literacy and its implementation in teaching and learning activities in elementary schools. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation to understand the phenomenon in depth. The research results show that the reading method, which involves asking students to read a text and retell its content, accompanied by the provision of rewards, effectively improves students' reading skills significantly. Students showed improvement in understanding the text, recognizing difficult words, and visualizing the content of the reading. In addition, this activity also successfully increased students' interest in reading, making them more motivated to read other books. Teachers reported an improvement in students' speaking and writing skills as a result of this activity. Thus, the reading program implemented through community service (KKN) has proven effective in improving students' academic abilities while also building a strong literacy culture.
