Abstract

Philosophy of science is often considered a separate field and even irrelevant to the development of science. This assumption is a big mistake. This paper aims to reveal the role of philosophy of science in the three stages of scientific development (justification of initial concepts, integration of new theories, and criticism of scientific results) and to identify which philosophical approaches contribute most to the progress of science. Through a review of contemporary literature, it is found that the philosophy of science always provides an important rational basis for fundamental scientific conceptions, guides the direction of scientific development, bridges various scientific disciplines and approaches, and criticizes scientific theories and paradigms that are considered established. The rationalism and empiricism approaches have been identified as the most dominant and monumental in their role in shaping modern scientific methodology to date. Thus, the claim regarding the fundamental role of philosophy of science in the history and future of science has been proven comprehensively.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the implementation of the philosophy of science in the development of educational science, using literature review and qualitative descriptive methods in its presentation. The results obtained are: (1) Development of educational science which grows based on the scope of the philosophy of science, namely science (ontology), how the process of acquiring knowledge is (epistemology), and how the benefits of science are (axiology). (2) There are two approaches to the philosophy of science in educational research, namely the positivistic and non-postivistic approaches. The positivistic approach focuses on observation and experience as a form of searching for new truths, while the non-positivistic approach is a method that is not influenced by observation and experience, cannot be measured, and can be proven without observation. (3) Implementation of the philosophy of science in theoretical and practical aspects which are interrelated, theoretically producing a well-organized and systematic branch of science. Practically, it produces a humanistic and social spirit, namely a form of empathy with the hope that the knowledge taught can be useful in the realities of human life.

Abstract

Language science is part of the humanities. Humanities are sciences that aim to make humans more humane. Language science will never be separated from social sciences and humanities because it will always be a part of human life for communicating, working together, and so on. The aim of this research is to describe and analyze the relationship between social sciences and humanities and linguistics. The research method used is literature review through literature studies, journal articles and books related to social sciences, humanities and linguistics, the truth of which can be accounted for. Language sciences, social sciences and humanities originate from the philosophy of science. Philosophy is a parent science that has developed very rapidly and widely. Philosophy of science becomes a mediator in the development of science, social sciences and humanities.

Abstract

The recurrence of words in the Qur'an, including al-Qalam, demonstrates a divine wisdom and numerical pattern. This study investigates the numerical patterns associated with the word al-Qalam in the Qur'an and its semantic implications. Using J.R. Firth's semantic theory and An-Naufal's approach to numerical miracles, the research explores the interplay between these patterns and the educational, revelatory, and intellectual roles of al-Qalam. This qualitative research employs a descriptive-analytical method. Primary data includes verses containing al-Qalam analyzed through the Qur'anic text and tafsir references, while numerical data were processed using Euclid's greatest common divisor (GCD) method to identify patterns. Results reveal that al-Qalam symbolizes education and the continuity of divine knowledge. Its numerical patterns, such as the GCD 1 found in related words and frequencies, reflect the interconnectedness of educational elements of teacher, student, and knowledge and reinforce the semantic interpretation of al-Qalam. These findings highlight the word's centrality in educational contexts, knowledge transmission, and technological advancements in writing. By integrating numerical and semantic analyses, this study contributes to understanding al-Qalam as a profound symbol of knowledge in the Qur'an, demonstrating its linguistic and mathematical harmony. These insights affirm the Qur'an's structural and semantic depth, offering new perspectives in linguistic and religious studies

Abstract

Abstract : This research aims to analyze the processes of promotion, transfer, and termination of employment (layoffs) for educators and educational staff at MTs. Al Barokah Annur. Using an observational approach and in-depth interviews, the study gathers data from management, educators, and staff to understand the dynamics of human resource management in this educational institution.The findings indicate that promotions at MTs. Al Barokah Annur are based on performance evaluations, experience, and individual contributions to the development of the school. This process is considered transparent; however, there are still challenges in communication between management and staff. Position transfers are often carried out to meet organizational needs and enhance the effectiveness of the teaching team, although some staff feel less involved in the decision-making process.On the other hand, terminations occur due to violations of the code of ethics and institutional policies, as well as unstable financial conditions. The research found that layoffs can negatively impact the morale and motivation of remaining staff, highlighting the need for a more sensitive approach to handling these issues. verall, this study provides a clear picture of human resource management practices at MTs. Al Barokah Annur and emphasizes the importance of fair policies and open communication to minimize conflicts and improve the welfare of educators and staff. Recommendations are also provided for developing more inclusive policies to create a more harmonious work environment. Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis proses promosi, pemindahan, dan pemutusan hubungan kerja (PHK) pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan di MTs. Al Barokah Annur. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan observasi dan wawancara mendalam, penelitian ini mengumpulkan data dari manajemen, pendidik, dan Promosi, Pemindahan dan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja Pendidik atau Tenaga Kependidikan untuk memahami dinamika yang terjadi dalam pengelolaan sumber daya manusia di lembaga pendidikan tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa promosi di MTs. Al Barokah Annur didapat berdasarkan evaluasi kinerja, pengalaman, dan kontribusi individu terhadap pengembangan sekolah. Proses ini dianggap transparan, namun masih terdapat tantangan dalam komunikasi antara manajemen dan staf. Pemindahan posisi sering kali dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan organisasi dan meningkatkan efektivitas tim pengajar, meskipun beberapa staf merasa kurang terlibat dalam proses pengambilan keputusan tersebut. di sisi lain, pemutusan hubungan kerja terjadi akibat pelanggaran kode etik dan kebijakan lembaga, serta kondisi keuangan yang tidak stabil. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa PHK dapat berdampak negatif pada moral dan motivasi staf yang tersisa, sehingga diperlukan pendekatan yang lebih sensitif dalam menangani masalah ini. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan gambaran yang jelas tentang praktik manajemen sumber daya manusia di MTs. Al Barokah Annur dan menyoroti pentingnya kebijakan yang adil dan komunikasi yang terbuka dalam meminimalkan konflik serta meningkatkan kesejahteraan pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan. Rekomendasi juga diberikan untuk pengembangan kebijakan yang lebih inklusif demi menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang lebih harmonis.

Abstract

Ilmu pengetahuan hadir di tengah kehidupan manusia dengan membawa banyak manfaat. Ilmu pengetahuan telah membawa manusia pada kemajuan di satu sisi, namun tak dapat dipungkiri berpotensi memberikan dampak buruk di sisi lain. Oleh karena itu, menjadi penting bagi manusia untuk mengetahui hakikat ilmu yang bermanfaat baik ditinjau dari segi agama maupun dari segi filsafat. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis masalah ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka. Hakikat ilmu yang bermanfaat ditinjau dari prespektif filsafat dan agama adalah ilmu yang membawa kemajuan, keselamatan, kebahagiaan, dan kesejahteraan hidup bagi manusia baik di dunia maupun di akhirat kelak. Ilmu bermanfaat adalah ilmu yang dapat mengantarkan manusia mencapai tujuan dari penciptaannya. Ilmu semacam inilah yang harus terus dikembangkan oleh umat manusia. Dengan ilmu bermanfaat manusia akan dapat mempertahankan eksistensi peradabannya di dunia. Mewariskan kehidupan yang bermakna bagi generasi penerusnya.

Abstract

The Nurul Falah Islamic Boarding School has an ongoing program that focuses on enhancing Arabic language skills and Fiqh through the ‘Kitab’ Recitation Competition. Arabic language studies in this competition are conducted using the yellow ‘kitab’, as the boarding school employs this book as its teaching material. Therefore, this study aims to observe the role of the ‘Kitab’ Recitation Competition, specifically in Arabic language learning, including speaking skills, reading skills, as well as grammatical rules and translation. The research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach, gathering data through interviews, observations, and documentation. The data are then analyzed using triangulation, which involves data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The findings indicate that the ‘Kitab’ Recitation Competition held at the boarding school plays a significant role in Arabic language learning, as evidenced from the preparation process to the implementation.

Abstract

QS Al-An'am verse 32 emphasizes that the life of the world is only a game and entertainment, while the afterlife is the real life. This research aims to discuss the pedagogical values in QS. Al-An'am verse 32 and its implications for the purpose of human life from an Islamic perspective. Through a literature study approach, this research explores the views of the mufasirs. The results of this study reveal that QS. Al-An'am verse 32 provides important insights for a Muslim's view of life in navigating life in the world and preparing for life in the hereafter. This verse emphasizes that the world is only temporary and full of impermanent pleasures. Therefore, humans are invited to make the life of the world a means to achieve true happiness in the hereafter. The pedagogical values contained in this verse have important implications in Islamic education, namely forming a generation of faith, piety, and noble character. These values include; (1) fostering faith and piety as the main foundation of a Muslim's life, (2) teaching that the world is used as a tool to achieve happiness in the hereafter, not the ultimate goal, (3) awareness that everything you have is a mandate of Allah that must be accounted for, (4) the importance of gratitude and staying away from excessive love of the world. Education based on Qur'ani values like this is expected to create a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent, but also morally and spiritually strong, ready to face life's challenges with full responsibility and wisdom.

Abstract

The development of the global financial system has encouraged various countries to adopt bullion banks as an alternative to the gold-based financial system. However, in Indonesia, the concept of bullion banks is still relatively new and does not yet have a clear legal framework. This study aims to examine the need for bullion bank regulation in Indonesia and to assess the suitability of the national legal framework with international practices. The method used is normative juridical with a statutory approach and comparative studies. The results of the study show that Indonesia does not yet have specific regulations regarding bullion banks, which has the potential to cause legal uncertainty for business actors and investors. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate comprehensive regulations to regulate bullion bank activities specifically to support the stability of the national financial system. This study recommends that policy makers immediately formulate regulations related to bullion banks by referring to best practices in other countries.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the decline of Qur’anic literacy among students of Islamic Religious Higher Education Institutions (PTKI) in Indonesia during the period of 2022–2025, as well as to analyze the content of QS Al-‘Alaq verses 1–5 as a conceptual basis for the revitalization of Islamic education. Based on data from the Ministry of Religious Affairs in 2023, it was found that less than 35% of PTKI students are able to read the Qur’an correctly and fluently. This trend is concerning, given that the Qur’an is the primary source of knowledge and inspiration in Islamic education. The tafsir tahlili approach is used to comprehensively examine the meaning of the verses, while descriptive qualitative analysis is employed to relate the verses’ meanings to contemporary realities. The study’s findings show that these verses contain a strong message about the importance of reading, learning, and the intellectual transformation process based on revelation. This research recommends enhancing the Qur’anic literacy curriculum in PTKI and strengthening the role of lecturers as exemplars in practicing Qur’anic values.
