Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of access to Islamic bank financing and Islamic financial literacy on the growth of MSMEs in Semarang City, as well as examine the role of digital literacy as a moderation variable. The background of this research is based on the low level of utilization of sharia financing and financial literacy by MSMEs actors, as well as the importance of digital literacy in supporting business success in the digital era. This study uses a quantitative approach with primary data collected through an online questionnaire and analyzed using the Partial Least Square (PLS) method through the SmartPLS application. The research sample consisted of 102 MSMEs actors selected based on the Slovin formula. The results of the study show that access to Islamic bank financing and Islamic financial literacy have a positive and significant influence on the growth of MSMEs. However, digital literacy does not have a direct effect on the growth of MSMEs and is also unable to moderate the relationship between access to financing and financial literacy to the growth of MSMEs significantly. This shows that digital literacy has not played an optimal role as a reinforcing variable in this context. This research provides important implications for Islamic financial institutions, local governments, and MSMEs actors in designing financial and digital capacity building strategies to encourage more sustainable and competitive business growth.

Abstract

Sufism is a branch of Islamic knowledge that focuses on the spiritual dimension and purification of the soul (tazkiyah al-nafs). In Islamic boarding school education, Sufism plays a crucial role in shaping the character of students with noble morals. This article examines the basic concepts of Sufism morals and their relevance to the process of purifying the soul, encompassing values such as sincerity, patience, asceticism, and contentment. This research used a descriptive qualitative literature study method. The results indicate that the stages of takhalli (emptying oneself of blameworthy traits), tahalli (filling oneself with praiseworthy traits), and tajalli (revealing Divine truth) are the main foundations in the process of purifying the soul. The implementation of these values is not only relevant for the formation of insan kamil (perfect human beings) in Islamic boarding schools but also holds high relevance in the modern era for character education, self-control, mental health, and social ethics. Overall, Sufism morals are a transformative approach to building spiritual depth amidst the challenges of a fast-paced and materialistic life.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate students’ engagement with teachers’ online feedback with timing in studyfrom - home through a Learning Management System (LMS). Data were collected from 38 students of SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Gresik who were chosen as a sample in this study. They filled 14 items in questionnaire of students’ engagement which are divided into 4 dimensions: emotional, behavioral, cognitive, and affective engagement. The results showed an average mean score of 3.71, 3.76, 3.87, and 3.97 respectively for emotional, behavioral, cognitive and affective engagement. The results also showed that students generally had a positive experience with the timing of direct and indirect feedback provide by their teachers, with an average mean score of 3.56 and 3.53 respectively. The results indicate that providing timely online feedback to students through an LMS can have a positive impact on stuents’ engagement and performance. The study also has some limitation, such as being conducted in only one school and in one subject area, thus future research should explore these findings in different contexts and subject areas. The results of this study provide a starting point for further research on the topic and can be used to guide future studies on students’ engagement with online feedback with timing in study-from-home through LMS.
