Abstract

The aim of research determine difference between learning outcomes and student activity using learning model Picture and Picture assisted specimens on material Invertebrates. Research of design use one shoot case study. The sample was class X-1 and X-2 determined Total Sampling technique. The independent variable was learning model used Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens, while dependent of variable was learning outcomes (LKS score and final exam score) and student activities. The activity student learning in classical style in class X-1 was 88% and X-2  was 86%. The cognitive learning outcomes students used  classical style in class X-1 was  93,78% and class X-2 was 88,8%. The outcomes data teacher performance in class X-1 and X-2 was very good, both classes indicated average grade of 15. The students response in class X-1 was 85.1% while in class X-2 was 93,8%. Teaching response toward method showed interest and agree using LKS models Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens  appicated this study.The conclusions this study is application learning models Picture and Picture helped Invertebrates specimens method can increase activity students in classical style was 87% and student learning outcomes in classical style was 86.33% apply in senoir high school of Teuku Umar Semarang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran picture and picture berbantuan spesimen pada materi invertebrata. Desain penelitian ini one shoot case study. Sampel penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X-1 dan X-2 yang ditentukan dengan teknik total sampling. Variabel bebas berupa model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen Invertebrata, sedangkan variabel terikat berupa hasil belajar (nilai LKS dan nilai akhir) dan aktivitas siswa. Hasil belajar kognitif siswa secara klasikal kelas X-1 sebesar 93,78% dan kelas X-2 sebesar 88,88. Aktivitas siswa secara klasikal pada kelas X-1 sebesar 88% dan X-2 sebesar 86%.. Kinerja guru pada kelas X-1 dan X-2 sangat baik. Tanggapan siswa kelas X-1 sebesar 85,1% dan kelas X-2 sebesar 93,8%. Tanggapan guru menunjukkan bahwa guru tertarik dan setuju menggunakan media LKS dengan model Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen Invertebrata yang diterapkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran Picture and Picture berbantuan spesimen pada materi Invertebrata dapat meningkatkan aktivitas siswa secara klasikal sebesar 87% dan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal sebesar 86,33% di SMA Teuku Umar Semarang.

Abstract

  Abstract This research aims to determine the feasibility and the effectiveness of Fenotif Module of the imune system. This research was called a Research and Development (R & D). The result of developing modul fenotif was validated by matter expert and media expert Semarang State University Department of Biology and biology teacher in SMA N 1 Karangsambung, Kebumen. Small-scale trials carried out in SMA N 1 Jakenan, Pati, who involved by 10 students, the data was retrieved from the students response to readability Fenotif Module. Large-scale trials conducted in SMA N 1 Karangsambung, Kebumen with 25 samples of students. Sample of the experiment product was taken by saturation sampling technique methods. The data was taken in a large-scale trials was the result of learning as well as the students and teachers responses. The design was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest posttest. Fenotif Module is feasible if it meets very well criteria based on the results of expert assessment and it was called effective if the learning outcomes of the students was increased to medium-high criteria in appropriate with the calculation of N-gain and the average of the students responses get very well criteria after large-scale trials. The results of this research indicated that Fenotif Module is apropriate to be used as teaching materials with percentage 95% of material and 96% of media. This module is also effectively used to achieve the acquisition of N-gain moderate to high category. The Students and the teachers responses is very well  Abstrak___________________________________________________________________Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kelayakan dan efektivitas modul “fenotif” yang dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran biologi materi sistem pertahanan tubuh. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R&D). Modul Fenotif hasil pengembangan divalidasi oleh pakar materi dan pakar media Jurusan Biologi Universitas Negeri Semarang serta guru biologi di SMA N 1 Karangsambung, Kebumen. Uji skala kecil dilaksanakan di SMA N 1 Jakenan, Pati dengan melibatkan 10 peserta didik, data yang diambil adalah tanggapan peserta didik terhadap keterbacaan Modul Fenotif. Uji coba skala besar dilakukan di SMA N 1 Karangsambung, Kebumen dengan sampel 25 peserta didik. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Data yang diambil dalam uji coba skala besar adalah hasil belajar serta tanggapan peserta didik dan guru.  Desain yang digunakan adalah pre-experimental designdengan bentuk one group pretest posttest. Modul Fenotif dikatakan layak apabila memenuhi kriteria sangat baik berdasarkan hasil penilaian pakar dan dikatakan efektif apabila hasil belajar peserta didik meningkat dengan kriteria sedang sampai tinggi sesuai dengan perhitungan N-gain serta rata-rata tanggapan peserta didik setelah uji coba skala besar mencapai kriteria sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Modul Fenotif dinyatakan layak digunakan sebagai bahan ajar dengan persentase kelayakan materi sebesar 95% dan persentase kelayakan media sebesar 96%. Modul ini juga efektif digunakan dengan perolehan N-gain mencapai kategori sedang sampai tinggi. Tanggapan peserta didik dan guru sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this researchis to develop a scientific comic that is suitable for learning science, and to analyze the effectiveness of scientific comic, increase the motivation and the cognitive learning outcomes of students. The research design was Research and Development. This researchhave been carried out in SMP N 2 Jepara, using convenience sampling technique, and the class VIII G as research subjects. The results showed that the comic developed was valid (media expert assessment was 84.85%, material experts assessment was 96.30%) and effective (classical completeness was 88%, 56% student motivation was good, 44% student motivation was excellent). The scientific comic is suitable and effective to be used in teaching the respiratory system in junior high school. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengembangkan komik sains yang  valid, serta menganalisis validitas serta efektivitas komik sains yang dikembangkan terhadap motivasi dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Research and Development.Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP N  2 Jepara, sampel ditentukan dengan teknik convenience sampling dan diperoleh kelas VIIIG sebagai subyek penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan komik yang dikembangkan valid, berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli media diperoleh nilai mencapai 84,85%, sedangkan ahli materi mencapai 96,30%. Media komik sains efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran dengan hasil belajar kognitif mencapai ketuntasan klasikal 88%, motivasi siswa 56% baik, 44% sangat baik pada pembelajaran materi sistem pernapasan di SMP.

Abstract

Majalah Biologi dapat mendukung pemahaman siswa tentang materi Biologi dan memberikan nuansa belajar yang menarik bagi siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis penerapan Biomagz sebagai suplemen dalam pembelajaran sistem reproduksi di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan  penelitian pre-experimental dengan desain One-Shot Case Study. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 11 Semarang yang terdiri dari 7 kelas MIA. Sampel penelitian yaitu kelas XI MIA 1 diambil dengan teknik simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar sistem reproduksi menggunakan Biomagz dengan KKM (thitung > ttabel).Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa siswa yang mempunyai sikap positif (20 siswa) lebih banyak dibandingkan dengan siswa yang mempunyai sikap negatif (17 siswa). Hasil analisis korelasi hasil belajar siswa dan skor sikap menunjukkan bahwa nilai r sebesar 0,055 yang berarti bahwa hubungan antara pengetahuan dan sikap peduli siswa pada kesehatan reproduksi sangat rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa, (1) rerata hasil belajar siswa materi sistem reproduksi menggunakan Biomagz lebih tinggi dari KKM dan penerapan Biomagz sebagai suplemen dalam pembelajaran sistem reproduksi di SMA dapat meningkatkan sikap peduli siswa pada kesehatan reproduksi, (2) tidak ada hubungan antara hasil belajar dan sikap peduli siswa pada kesehatan reproduksi. Biology magazine could support students’ understanding in  biology and build an attractive learning atmosphere. This study analysed biomagz implementation as a supplement in learning of reproductive system in high school. This study was pre-experimental research with One-shot Case Study. Research population was XI students of SMA N 11 Semarang consisting of 7 classes. The sample was XI MIA 1 which was taken by simple random sampling. The research results showed that there was a significant difference between students’ outcome by using Biomagz and Minimum Completeness Criteria (KKM) (tcount>ttable). The results of the study also found that students who had positive attitudes (20 students) were more than students who had negative attitudes (17 students). Correlation analysis of  students outcome and their attitude score gave r value of  0,055 means low relationship between students knowledge and concern on reproductive health. Based on the results obtained we concluded that, (1) students’ learning outcomes average in reproductive system topic by using Biomagz was higher than KKM and Biomagz implementation as a supplement of reproductive system learning in high school could increase students’ concern to reproductive healthcare, (2) there was no correlation between learning outcomes and students attitudes to reproductive healthcare.

Abstract

Cigarette smoke is one of exogenous free radicals sources. When it is inhaled, its activity may damage the structure of lung function. The impacts of free radicals can be reduced through the provision of antioxidants. Rambutan fruit peel contains phenolic compound in the form of polyphenols that are antioxidants.The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of rambutan fruit peel extracts to the number of leukosit and lung structure on rats exposed by cigarette smoke. The research design used Post Test Control Group Design. A sample of 25 rats were divided into 5 groups, each group consisting of 5 rats. The positive control group (K +) were given a standard food and drinking water, the negative control group (K) by 3 cigarettes, the treatment groups (KP1, KP2, KP3) by 3 cigarettes and peel extract of rambutan each treatment group with a dose 15 mg/kg, 30 mg/kg and 45 mg/kg for 30 days. Total leukocyt measured by Auto Hematology Analyzer Mindray BC 2800vet. Total leukocytes and the damage of the lung were tested by one- way ANOVA. The number of leukocytes and damage to the lungs was analyzed by one-way ANOVA. and further tested with LSD. Next, the effective dose was tested by using linear regression. The result has shown that the average of total leukocytes in K+, K-, KP1, KP2, and KP3 was 6.28 x103/µl, 11.98 x103/µl, 9.88 x103/µl, 8.48 x103/µl, and 7.72 x103/µl respectively. Based on ANOVA, the rats have been exposed to cigarette smoke and given the extract of rambutan peel underwent decreasing total leukocytes and decreasing damage on alveolus more significant than those which has been exposed to cigarette smoke with no extract of rambutan peel. The effective dose of the extract of rambutan peel that was foun d to decrease total leukocytes and to protect the damage of the lung caused by cigarette smoke was 45 mg/kg body weight. Conclusion: the extract of rambutan peel was able to decrease the total leukocytes and protect the histopathological of rat lung that has been exposed to cigarette smoke.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model GNT dengan video terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi sistem saraf di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dengan menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Kontrol Group Design dengan 2 kelas sampel yaitu kelas IX-C (kelas kontrol) dan kelas IX-D (kelas eksperimen). Sampel diambil menggunakan non-random sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui skor Posttest dan LDS. Hasil belajar afektif diperoleh melalui angket. Data tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket. Hasil belajar kognitif menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen 86,11% dan kelas kontrol 44,44%. Hasil belajar afektif diperoleh rata-rata akhir kelas eksperimen 65,83% dan kelas kontrol 66%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran memperoleh kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 82%. Uji hipotesis pengaruh model GNT dengan video terhadap hasil belajar siswa menggunakan uji t dan diperoleh nilai t hitung > t tabel, yaitu 4,29 > 1,99. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model GNT dengan video berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.. This study aimed to analyze the influences of applying the GNT model with a video on Junior High School student learning outcomes of the nervous system material. This study was a quasi experiment using a pretest-posttest control group design with two sample classes  those are class IX-C (control group) and class IX-D (experimental group). Samples were taken by non-random sampling with purposive sampling technique. Cognitive learning outcomes were obtained by posttest scores and LDS. Affective learning outcomes and Student responses data were obtained by  questionnaires. The findings showed that cognitive learning outcomes satisfied the classical completeness (minimum passing grade) up to 86.11% from the experimental group and compared to 44.44% from the control group. Affective learning outcomes gained an average up to 65.83% of the experimental group and 66% of the control group both in good criteria.  Student responses to learning were under good criteria with an average 82%. Hypothesis testing of the influences of the GNT model with a video on student learning outcomes, as indicated by  t test, showed that  the values t test > t table, namely 4.29 >1.99. This proved that applying the GNT model with a video had the significant influences to learning outcomes.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan berbantuan modul daur ulang limbah pada literasi sains siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental design. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Pekalongan. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas X MIPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X MIPA 2 sebagai kelas kontrol. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui pada kelas eksperimen rerata nilai pretest 57.63 rerata nilai posttest 89.56, pada kelas kontrol rerata nilai pretest 57.52 rerata nilai posttest 77.07. Hasil uji perbedaan dua rata-rata nilai posttestmenunjukkan bahwa ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol dengan t hitung 8.515> t tabel 1.67. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji N-Gain peningkatan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas eksperimen mencapai 100% sedangkan kelas kontrol 87%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek dengan berbantuan modul daur ulang limbah berpengarauh secara signifikan terhadap kemampuan literasi sains siswa di SMA Negeri 3 Pekalongan. This research aimed for analysing the influence of project-based learning implementation which supported by waste recycling module toward the students’ scientific literacy skill. The design of this research was uasi Experimental Design. This research was conducted in SMA Negeri 3 Pekalongan with X MIPA 1 as the experiment class and X MIPA 2 as the control class. The sample was taken by Purposive Sampling. Based on the result, it was known that in the experiment class, the average of pre-test was 57.63, while the average of post-test was 89.56. In the control class, the average of pre-test was 57.52, while the average of post-test was 77.07. The result of the average of post-tests showed a significant difference between the students scientific literacy skill of the experimental class and the control class with t count 8.515 > t tabel 1.67. Based on N-Gain test analysis, the raise of the experiment class’s scientific literacy skill reached 100%, while the raise of the control class’s scientific literacy skill reached 87%. The conclusion of this research was the implementation of project-based learning which supported by waste recycling module had a significant influence toward students’ science literacy skill in SMA Negeri 3 Pekalongan.

Abstract

Benalu mangga mengandung senyawa kuersetin yang bertindak sebagai hepatoprotektor. Kodein merupakan jenis alkaloid dan banyak digunakan sebagai obat. Oversdosis kodein dapat menyebabkan kerusakan hepar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak benalu mangga terhadap perubahan histologis hepar tikus yang diinduksi kodein. Sebanyak 20 ekor tikus wistar jantan dibagi menjadi 5 kelompok (K0, K, KB1, KB2, dan KB3). Kelompok K0 hanya diberi minum dan pakan standar, kelompok K diberi kodein 12mg/ekor selama 7 hari, selanjutnya hanya diberi pakan dan minum standar. Kelompok KB1 diberi kodein 12mg/ekor selama 7 hari dilanjutkan ekstrak benalu mangga 22mg/ekor sampai hari ke 21, kelompok KB2 diberi kodein 12mg/ekor selama 7 hari dilanjutkan ekstrak benalu mangga 44mg/ekor sampai hari ke 21, dan kelompok KB3 diberi kodein 12mg/ekor selama 7 hari dilanjutkan ekstrak benalu mangga 88mg/ekor sampai hari ke 21.Hari ke-27 semua tikus dibedah, diambil heparnya dan dibuat preparat histologi dengan pengecatan HE.Hasil penelitian kelompok K0 menunjukkan perubahan histologis hepar bermakna (p<0,05) antara K,KB1, KB2, dan KB3, sedangkan kelompok K tetapi tidak menunjukan perubahan bermakna (p>0,05) antara K,KB1, KB2, dan KB3. Pada kelompok K kerusakan struktur hepar meliputi inflamasi perportal dan degenerasi sedangkan pada kelompok KB1, KB2, dan KB3 kerusakan meliputi inflamasi periportal,degenerasi, dan nekrosis.Mangos mistletoes contain quercetin, a hepatoprotector. Codein is a type of alkaloids widely used as drug. Codein overdose can damage the liver. The objective of the study was know the effect of the administration of extract of mangos mistletoes on the changes of liver histology of codein-induced rats. As many as 20 male wistar rats were divided into 5 groups (K0, K, KB1, KB2, and KB3). K0 group were given only standard diet and water daily. K group were given codeine at 12mg/rats for 7 days, and afterwards they were given only standard diet and water daily. KB1 group were given codeine at 12mg/rats for 7 days and then were given extract of mangos mistletoes at 22 mg/rats until day 21, KB2 group were given codeine at 12mg/rats for 7 days and then were given extract of mangos mistletoes at 44 mg/rats until day 21, and KB3 group were given codeine at 12mg/rats for 7 days and were given extract of mangos mistletoes at 88 mg/rats until day 21. At day 27, all rats were killed, the livers were taken out for preparations with HE staining for histology examination. Research showed that K0 group was significantly different (p <0.05) to K, KB1, KB2, and KB3 groups, whereas K group was not significantly different to KB1, KB2 and KB3 groups. Rats in K group showed the changes in histological appearance such as periportal inflammation and degeneration, whereas rats in KB1, KB2, KB3 groups showed similar histological appearance but with necrosis.

Abstract

The research was aimed to find out a profile of an anatomical structure of the Rattus norvegicus skin after exposed to X-ray radiation. Research was performed by treating the 20 Rattus norvegicus at the age of 1.5 months. The weight rats were weighed approximately 100 13 g grouped into four treatments with different dose of X-ray radiation. The four treatments were 0 mgy (control), 50 mgy, 100 mgy, and 150 mgy X-ray radiation. The variable in this research was a dose of X-ray radiation and the anatomical structure of the rattus norvegicus skin. The data obtained were analyzed with qualitative description. The research results after exposure of X-ray radiation for 5-days showed that there was no damage on the skin macroanatomy. Whereas, the observation in the skin microanatomy showed that there was a damage, e.g. thinning of the epidermis, cell picnosys, cell injury, and hemoragic. The result indicated that the different dose of X-ray radiation affected the skin anatomy structure. The X-ray radiation exposure at 100 mGy on skin microanatomy were caused a thinning of the epidermis in stratum corneum layer, picnosys on the nucleus, cell injury and hemoragic.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran struktur anatomi kulit tikus (Rattus norvegicu) strain Wistar setelah terpapar radiasi sinar-X. Sebanyak 20 ekor tikus umur 1,5 bulan dengan berat badan sekitar 100 13 gram dikelompokkan ke dalam 4 perlakuan yaitu perlakuan dosis radiasi sinar-X sebesar 50 mGy, 100 mGy dan 150 mGy serta 1 kelompok kontrol. Paparan radiasi dilakukan selama 5 hari. Variabel penelitian ini adalah dosis paparan radiasi sinar-X dan struktur anatomi kulit. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara makroanatomi kulit tikus tidak terlihat kerusakan, tetapi secara mikroanatomi terdapat kerusakan berupa penipisan epidermis, piknosis sel, jejas sel, dan hemoragik. Hal tersebut dikarenakan besarnya dosis radiasi mempengaruhi terhadap perubahan struktur anatomi kulit. Paparan radiasi sinar-X dosis 100 mGy, menimbulkan kerusakan kulit tikus secara mikroanatomi berupa penipisan epidermis dilapisan stratum korneum, piknosis inti, jejas sel dan hemoragik.
