Abstract

 Over the past ten years, flooding has been the most frequent problem in South Sumatra Province, Indonesia. As the capital of South Sumatra Province, Palembang City faces similar problems, where Lambidaro Watershed is the watershed with the highest 25-year potential flood discharge in Palembang City. One of the causes of flooding is the lack of river channel capacity related to land erosion in the watershed. This study aims to learn the prediction of sediment volume and efforts to reduce it in the Lambidaro watershed, Palembang City. This study uses two types of modeling, namely numerical models and empirical models. The numerical model uses the HEC-RAS 6.3.1 application, while the empirical model uses the USLE and SDR equations. The input parameters of the numerical model use some data derived from field measurements. The sediment concentration and observation discharge parameters were measured three times in September 2022. The grain size distribution parameters were sampled at three locations each once in August 2022, and the cohesive parameter was sampled at one location twice in August 2022. The result of the prediction of sediment volume by the numerical model is 1,421.86 m3/year. In contrast, the result of the prediction by the empirical model is 476,941.25 m3/year. Efforts to reduce the prediction of sediment volume USLE method are in the form of applying the intercropping method. The results of the conservation study show that the efforts made can reduce the volume of sediment by 17%.Keywords:       sediment, flood, conservation, intercropping, Lambidaro

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the factors that influence SMEs in Bandar Lampung to advertise using the Instagram Ads feature. The population used in This research is about SMEs who have used the Instagram Ads feature with up to 100 samples were taken using the purposive sampling technique. The data analysis method in this study was the Cochran Q Test. The results of this research were 8 factors that influence SMEs in Bandar Lampung to advertise using features Instagram Ads. These factors are the influence of Instagram Ads on sales/revenue, there are default audience settings in Instagram Ads, Instagram Ads can be customized, Instagram Ads costs are cheap, there are audience settings Instagram Ads, audiences on Instagram Ads can be adjusted, settings on Instagram Ads is easy, and payment on Instagram Ads is easy. SMEs can use this factor as a reference for advertise on Instragram Ads or other platforms for digital marketing activities.Keywords— SMEs, Cochran Q Test, Instagram Ads, Digital Marketing

Abstract

AbstrakTelinga merupakan salah satu indera manusia yang berperan penting. Telinga berfungsi untuk mendengar bunyi. Bila fungsi telinga terganggu, maka akan terjadi gangguan pendengaran. Gangguan pendengaran masih merupakan masalah kesehatan yang belum mendapat perhatian serius dari masyarakat. Pada anak-anak, gangguan pendengaran dapat menyebabkan sulit menerima pelajaran di sekolah dan gangguan dalam berkomunikasi sehingga prestasi dan produktivitas menurun. Lebih lanjut gangguan pendengaran ini dapat menyebabkan seseorang menarik diri dari lingkungan dan masyarakat sehingga timbul perasaan kesepian dan frustasi (Kemenkes, 2010). World Health Organization (WHO) menyebutkan bahwa terdapat lebih dari 5% populasi dunia mengalami gangguan pendengaran (432 juta dewasa dan 34 juta anak-anak) (WHO, 2021). Berbagai macam penyakit pada telinga dapat menyebabkan gangguan pendengaran. Gangguan pendengaran pada anak juga berkaitan dengan tingginya angka infeksi saluran nafas atas yang menyebabkan terjadinya Otitis media. Lestari dkk pada penelitiannya di RSUD. Dr. H. Abdul Moeloek Provinsi Lampung tahun 2016 mendapatkan angka kejadian Otitis Media Akut (OMA) pada kelompok usia 0 – 5 tahun sebayak 24 orang (16,8 %), kelompok usia 6 – 11 tahun sebanyak 22 orang (15,4 %),dan kelompok usia 12–16 tahun sebanyak 22 orang (15,4%) (Lestari et al., 2018).Kata kunci: Edukasi, Serumen Prop.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the capacity of the Women Farmers Group (Kelompok Wanita Tani/KWT) Melati Asri in Tambak, Ngestiharjo Village, Bantul, through the implementation of smart farming innovation based on the Internet of Things (IoT). The main challenges faced by the group include limited knowledge and assistance in agricultural technology, suboptimal production management, inadequate farming facilities, and low digital literacy for marketing and product diversification. To address these issues, the program was carried out in five main stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring and evaluation, as well as sustainability planning. Training sessions covered modern agricultural technologies, organizational management, business plan development, and agricultural product diversification. Furthermore, smart farming technology, such as sensor-based monitoring systems in greenhouses, was introduced and accompanied by intensive mentoring. The outcomes show an increase in members’ knowledge of digital agriculture, skills in farm management, and awareness of innovation to strengthen local food security. The program also encouraged women’s active role in the community economy, opened wider market access through digitalization, and created opportunities for value-added agricultural product diversification. With a participatory and sustainable approach, this initiative is expected to improve productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness of KWT Melati Asri in the long term. Abstract

This study aims to examine the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind based on convergence values at Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, wind disturbance patterns over the Java Sea, the source and speed of air masses, regional-scale wind disturbances over Indonesia (Tropical Cyclones and Eddies), and wind flow patterns entering the study area under different rainfall categories during the period 2014 – 2023. The research employed a quantitative method by processing rainfall data and daily zonal (u) and meridional (v) wind component data during the peak rainy season (December – February). The analysis was conducted using the GrADS application to display streamline maps, data processing with Excel, and descriptive analysis. The results indicate that for the no-rain to light-rain categories, the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind are not clearly evident, except for wind disturbance patterns over the Java Sea and the speed and consistency of winds from the air-mass source toward the study area. In contrast, for moderate to very heavy or extreme rainfall categories, the characteristics of the West Monsoon wind are clearly observed. These conditions are characterized by air masses originating from the South China Sea, supported by strong and consistent wind speeds passing through the Karimata Strait and the Java Sea to Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport, as well as the presence of wind disturbances in the form of moderate to strong convergence over the Java Sea extending to the Makassar region. Therefore, the study concludes that the no-rain and light-rain categories exhibit nearly similar wind characteristics, while the main differences in the moderate to extreme rainfall categories lie in the consistency of wind speed and the intensity of convergence over the Java Sea.

Abstract

Tsunami merupakan salah satu bentuk bencana alam yang berpotensi menyebabkan kerusakan dengan tingkat keparahan yang sangat tinggi. Tsunami didefinisikan sebagai gelombang laut besar dan diproduksi oleh kegiatan geologis seperti gempa dasar laut, letusan gunung berapi, dan lempeng tektonik. Tsunami memiliki kecepatan dan kekuatan yang luar biasa, sehingga dapat memiliki efek fatal seperti banjir besar dan kerusakan serius di daerah pesisir yang luas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui potensi tsunami dari setiap gempa yang terjadi. Kemudian dari yang berpotensi tsunami itu dimanakah daerah yang harus diprioritaskan untuk dilakukan proses evakuasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan metodologis, meliputi studi literatur, observasi lapangan, proses pengumpulan data, analisis data, pengembangan sistem, dan tahap validasi metode. Adapun kriteria yang digunakan dalam pengambilan keputusan ini adalah Potensi Tsunami, Jarak dari air laut, Jarak menuju dataran tinggi dan Jumlah Kepala Keluarga (KK). Dataset terdiri dari 30 baris yang akan dibagi menjadi 30% data uji dan 70% data latih. Adapun algoritma yang digunakan adalah K-NN untuk klasifikasi dan Weighted Product untuk pengambilan keputusannya.

Abstract

Street Kopi Luhur, located in Argasunya Village, Harjamukti District, Cirebon City, is a local road that plays a strategic role as the main access for residents to housing areas and centers of local economic activity. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach. Primary data were obtained through direct field surveys, including visual inspections and measurements of pavement conditions, while secondary data were collected from relevant local government agencies. The analysis of pavement conditions was conducted using the Road Condition Index (RCI) method to determine the level of damage, whereas traffic performance was evaluated based on the Indonesian Road Capacity Guidelines (PKJI, 2023) to determine the Level of Service (LOS) and the Degree of Saturation (Dj). The results indicate that the pavement condition of Street Kopi Luhur is generally categorized as moderate to severely damaged, with an average RCI value of 53, corresponding to a class D service level. The dominant forms of pavement distress include longitudinal cracking, potholes, and surface unevenness. These damages are mainly caused by inadequate drainage systems, high traffic loads, and limited maintenance activities. Furthermore, the Degree of Saturation (Dj) value of 0.79 shows that the road segment is approaching congested conditions, leading to reduced service performance. Based on these findings, recommended improvement measures include rehabilitation of the pavement structure using HRS-WC and Cement Treated Base (CTB) layers, enhancement of the roadside drainage system, and the implementation of a community-based periodic maintenance program.

Abstract

Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) are currently challenged by the increasing cultural diversity among students, which may create social gaps if not managed effectively. This condition requires an educational approach that promotes respect for differences within the framework of Islamic values. This study employs a qualitative library research method to examine the implementation of multicultural education in strengthening inclusive character among students in traditional pesantren in Indonesia. Data were collected through systematic analysis of relevant literature, including scholarly books, journal articles, and official documents related to pesantren educational models and multiculturalism. The findings reveal that values such as tolerance, cooperation, and respect for cultural identity can be internalized through pesantren cultural practices that emphasize collective decision-making, shared dormitory life, and appreciation of students’ diverse regional backgrounds. The study concludes that multicultural education rooted in pesantren culture contributes significantly to the development of inclusive character by promoting Islamic values of rahmatan lil ‘alamin. The implications highlight the importance of developing multicultural education models that are adaptive to the dynamics of pluralism in Islamic education in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Haflah Khotmil Qur’an (HKQ) at Pondok Pesantren Tahfidzul Qur’an Al Asy’ariyyah in Wonosobo embodies a religious custom blending Islamic principles, local traditions, and community care. This research describes the haflah's execution and uncovers its religious, social, and cultural significance. Adopting a descriptive qualitative method, data were gathered via observation, interviews, and documentation, with informants chosen through purposive and snowball sampling. Results indicate HKQ extends beyond celebrating students' Qur’an memorization achievements, acting as a platform for Islamic outreach and fostering ties between the pesantren and local society. Diverse events—including santri contests, napak tilas treks, grave visits, Hamalatul Qur’an, communal recitations, blood drives, and mass circumcisions—highlight the fusion of spiritual piety and social commitment. This practice is vital for upholding moderate Islam, bolstering students' faith identity, and preserving indigenous values against modernization pressures

Abstract

The lack of street lighting infrastructure on the connecting roads between hamlets in Tepansari Village hinders community mobility and increases security risks at night. This community service program aims to implement Solar Power Street Lighting (PJUTS) technology as a renewable energy solution while building infrastructure independence through community empowerment. The implementation method uses the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) approach which includes five stages: discovery, design, define, delivery, and destiny. The program involved a collaboration between 7 KPM students, 2 village officials, and 10 local residents. The results of the service show that two PJUTS units have been successfully installed at strategic points and are functioning optimally independently without the burden of village electricity costs. In addition to physical outputs, this activity succeeded in increasing the technical capacity of residents in preventive maintenance of solar panel and battery components through a learning-by-doing process. The immediate impact felt by the community is an increased sense of security and mobility comfort, which supports social-religious and economic activities at night. This program proves that the integration of appropriate technology and participatory empowerment is an effective strategy in realizing sustainable rural infrastructure independence in accordance with SDGs point 7 targets.
