Abstract

Trauma cases often occur not only in densely populated areas but also in regions with tourist destinations. In developing tourist areas, developers are not only required to prepare tourist facilities, but their human resources must also be equipped with skills in providing initial treatment for injuries or trauma. The method used for community service was a simulation of first aid for trauma cases using the SAMBAS Mnemonic module. The results of community service obtained data showing an increase in community skills before and after the simulation on first aid for trauma cases using the SAMBAS Mnemonic module. These results indicate that learning with SAMBAS Mnemonics can improve knowledge and skills. Improving skills in first aid for trauma cases is an effort to handle emergency conditions related to trauma cases.

Abstract

Social justice is one of the core principles in Islamic teachings, serving as the foundation for the creation of a harmonious and civilized society. The Qur’an, as the primary source of Islamic law and ethics, frequently emphasizes the importance of justice in various aspects of life, including law, economy, and social relations. Justice in the Qur’anic perspective extends beyond legal fairness; it encompasses moral, spiritual, and humanitarian dimensions rooted in the unity of God (tawḥīd). This study aims to examine the concept of social justice from the Qur’anic perspective by analyzing verses that discuss the principles of justice and their implementation in modern society. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach with a thematic analysis of relevant Qur’anic verses and interpretations from both classical and modern exegeses.Through this method, the study seeks to uncover the comprehensive meaning of justice within both theological and social dimensions. The findings indicate that the Qur’an regards justice as a central pillar in establishing social order. The Qur’anic conception of social justice encompasses equality, social responsibility, and the protection of human rights without discrimination. These principles are highly relevant to the modern world, which continues to face inequality and structural injustice. Therefore, the application of Qur’anic justice values can serve as a moral and ethical framework for creating a fair, prosperous, and compassionate society.

Abstract

Archaeological research in the Muarajambi temple area has indicated its past function as a place for learning Buddhist teachings, inhabited by settlers between the 7th and 12th centuries AD. Its location near the Batanghari River and tropical forests made the settlers vulnerable to health disturbances. Starting with this phenomenon, the question arises: what was the picture of healthy living practices of the settlers in the Muarajambi Temple Complex between the 7th and 12th centuries AD? This research uses K. Dark's archaeological method with Ian Hodder's entanglement theory analysis to examine the relationship between excavation data from Candi Koto Mahligai and Kedaton, I-Tsing's records, and the surrounding environment. There is a possibility that 1) the implementation of the Mahavihara Muarajambi settlers' regulations not only trained spirituality but also physical and mental health; 2) from the pollen data of medicinal plants, it is possible that the students developed medical knowledge; 3) pollen data and the analysis of the functions of medicinal plants provide an overview of the types of diseases suffered by the settlers; and 4) the discovery of artifacts and features at the Muarajambi Temple strengthens the similarity of hypotesa with the narrative of healthy living practices in the I-Tsing text.

Abstract

Water is a form of gift from God for creatures on this earth and as the source of this life. This paper aims to explore the concept of water in the perspective of the Qur'an, science and medicine. This research is a qualitative research using content analysis method. The data sources for this research are the Qur'an and literature books related to the nature of water according to science and medicine. The collected literature studies will be categorized, reduced, compared, verified and finally concluded. The results of this study confirm that; First; The Qur'an provides instructions for humans to think, reflect, live, and see everything that Allah has created for humans and that Allah made all living things from water. Second; There is a relationship between the Qur'an and medical science about water and the benefits of water for health. Third; Water has behavior like living things, this can be seen from the research conducted by Dr. Masaru Emoto from Yokohama University, who researched the shape of the water molecule and found that the shape of the water molecule that is recited by prayer will be beautiful.

Abstract

This study aims to deeply examine the intertextual relationship between the Qur'an and Nusantara regional literature, specifically within the cultural and literary context of Riau Malay, which adheres to the philosophy of “Adat Bersandikan Syarak, Syarak Bersandikan Kitabullah” (Customs based on Islamic Law, Islamic Law based on the Qur'an). The Qur'an, as the source of Islamic teachings, has a widespread transformative influence on Muslim civilization, including in language and literary aspects (in line with Surah Ibrahim [14]: 4), and the principle of diversity for mutual acquaintance (Surah Al-Hujurat [49]: 13). Employing a linguistic and intertextual analysis approach, this research reveals how Qur'anic values, linguistic structures, religious symbolism, and moral and spiritual concepts are absorbed, interpreted, and adapted into Riau Malay literary expressions. The findings indicate that the Islamization process in Riau was not merely theological and social but also strongly impacted the cultural transformation and aesthetics of its literature. Universal Islamic values underwent an assimilation process with local Malay wisdom (Surah Al-A‘rāf [7]: 199), resulting in harmonious literary works. Through Riau Malay pantun, gurindam, hikayat, and syair, it is evident how Qur'anic moral messages are subtly conveyed through characteristic stylistic language, narrative structures, and cultural symbols (Surah Al-Hijr [15]: 9). This study confirms the Qur'an's crucial role as the spiritual and aesthetic foundation that shapes the unique identity of Riau Malay literature.

Abstract

The Qur’an is a divine scripture that contains numerous miracles, one of which can be observed through its scientific indications about living beings, including the mosquito as mentioned in Surah Al-Baqarah verse 26. The reference to the mosquito in the Qur’an is not merely a simple example, but a profound lesson about the power of Allah and the perfection of His creation. This study explores how the miraculous nature of the Qur’an can be proven through scientific analysis of the mosquito, focusing on its intricate body structure, survival abilities, and role in human life. By integrating explanations from Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), Hadith, and modern scientific findings, particularly in the field of biology, this research reveals that the Qur’anic implications correspond precisely with contemporary scientific facts. The mosquito, despite its tiny size, possesses an extraordinarily complex system including a blood-sucking apparatus composed of multiple parts, anesthetic substances that make its bite painless, and a highly accurate mechanism for detecting hosts. These facts confirm that the Qur’an had already pointed to the greatness of Allah’s creation long before modern science discovered it. This study strengthens the understanding that the Qur’an remains relevant and harmonious with the continual progress of scientific knowledge.

Abstract

In the Muslim view, the Qur'an is a hint of humankind (hudallinnas) that puts the fundamental principles in all the issues of human life. This guide is the foundation of the Islamic religion and serves as a guide for living for its adherents and ensuring the happiness of life both in the world and hereafter. The Qur'an introduces itself to various characteristics and attributes, one of them is that it is a book whose authenticity is guaranteed and always nurtured by God. The history of the Qur'an is so clear and open, since its descent to the present. He was read by Muslims from the past until now. Nevertheless, the Mushaf of the Qur'an that is in our hands until now it has been through a long journey that meandered over a period of more than 1400 years ago and has a long historical background. This paper tries to give an over view of the history of the decline of the Qur'an starts from the exposure of the period of revelation of the Qur'an, the codification of the Qur'an, asbabun nuzul until the effort to dig the values in the gradual decline of the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study examines female leadership in the public sphere based on the interpretation of Qur'anic verses. Using a thematic exegesis approach to verses related to women's roles in society, this research explores the proper understanding of women's positions and roles in public domains within the Islamic perspective. The findings reveal that the Qur'an grants fair space for women to assume leadership roles and actively participate in social and political fields, while maintaining Islamic values. This study provides a theoretical foundation to reinforce women's roles as responsible and integrity-driven public leaders.
