Abstract

The advancement of modern science has profoundly influenced human civilization in various aspects, including technology, culture, and social structure. However, this progress also raises philosophical and ethical questions regarding the role of religion in scientific inquiry. In the Islamic context, the Qur’an serves not only as a source of moral and spiritual guidance but also as a text that strongly encourages intellectual engagement. Through its verses, the Qur’an invites humanity to employ reason in comprehending the signs of God’s greatness manifested in the universe (ayat kauniyyah). This study aims to explore the relevance of the Qur’an to modern science by analyzing the interrelationship between divine revelation and scientific methodology. The research adopts a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, drawing upon classical and modern Qur’anic exegesis, Islamic philosophy of science, and contemporary academic works. The analysis seeks to reveal how the Qur’an affirms observation, reflection, and reasoning as essential means to understand both divine truth and empirical reality. The findings demonstrate that the Qur’an remains profoundly relevant to modern scientific thought, as both are rooted in the pursuit of truth. Although the Qur’an is not a scientific textbook, its contents provide moral inspiration and epistemological foundations for scientific inquiry. Ethical values such as honesty, accountability, and sincerity constitute essential principles of scientific activity in Islam. Therefore, the integration of Qur’anic principles with modern science is necessary to ensure that scientific progress continues to serve humanity while remaining aligned with spiritual and ethical values.

Abstract

This article discusses the purpose of Allah's creation of bees and the health benefits of honey, based on the Qur'anic verses in Surah An-Nahl (16:68–69). The study uses a qualitative library research method, analyzing Qur'anic texts, Hadith, and scientific literature. The findings show that bees were created as a sign of Allah's greatness and to provide great benefits to humans—through honey as syifā'un lin-nās (a healing for mankind) and through their role in maintaining ecological balance. Scientifically, honey contains active compounds that act as antibacterial, antioxidant, and natural healing agents. In conclusion, the creation of bees reflects spiritual, ecological, and health wisdom, demonstrating the perfection of Allah's creation.

Abstract

This study examines the role of music in the life of the Muslim community from the perspective of Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and maqāṣīd al-sharī‘ah. A qualitative literature study is employed, with content analysis applied to classical and contemporary sources addressing the status of music in Islam. The main findings reveal a plurality of scholarly opinions: some view music as generally prohibited, while others permit it within specific contexts (such as social rituals, permissible entertainment, or for dawah) provided that it serves public interest, avoids fitnah, and does not impede obligatory acts of worship. The use of music in religious practice, education, and emotional expression can be seen as a vehicle for dawah, a legitimate medium for halal entertainment, and a means of emotional regulation when aligned with Shariah objectives and Islamic values. Policy implications include the formulation of guidelines that emphasize communal welfare, ethical boundaries, and contextual sensitivity to contemporary cultural dynamics while preserving core principles of faith, worship, and morality. The study recommends multidisciplinary engagement among scholars, Islamic philosophers, and practitioners in Islamic education to develop a contextualized and culturally sensitive framework for the permissibility and application of music in Islam.

Abstract

This study aims to examine in depth the concept of israf (excess) in the context of food and beverage consumption from an Islamic perspective and its implications for human well-being. Israf, which etymologically means exceeding limits, is a reprehensible behavior expressly prohibited by Allah SWT, as stated in Surah Al-A'raf, verse 31. The method used was library research with a thematic interpretation (maudhu'i) approach and analysis of medical literature related to nutrition and dietary patterns.The results show that the prohibition of israf in eating and drinking encompasses two main dimensions: (1) the Sharia dimension, namely exceeding one's needs and wasting blessings, which can distance oneself from gratitude and make the perpetrator hated by Allah; and (2) the health dimension, namely excessive consumption of food/drinks (both in quantity and quality) which has been medically proven to contribute to various degenerative diseases (such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease). The concept of moderation (i'tidal) taught by Islam, including proportional portioning of food, serves as a framework for preventing israf behavior, which in turn supports the quality of a Muslim's worship and productivity.

Abstract

Honey is one of the natural substances that has been used as medicine for thousands of years. In the Qur'an, specifically in Surah An-Nahl verses 68-69, Allah explicitly mentions honey as containing shifa (healing) for humans. This article examines the concept of honey as medicine from a Qur'anic perspective by analyzing the interpretation of related verses, the scientific content of honey, and its relevance to modern health research. The method used is a literature review (library research) with a thematic (maudhu'i) interpretation approach. The research findings indicate that the Qur'an preceded modern scientific discoveries about the therapeutic properties of honey, and there is a strong correlation between the Qur'anic statements and contemporary scientific evidence regarding the benefits of honey as a healing agent.

Abstract

This study explores the concept of youthful vitality in the Qur’an by examining its spiritual and health aspects. The research aims to understand how spiritual values and health principles in the Qur’an contribute to human physical vitality and endurance. The method used is a literature review and thematic analysis of Qur’anic verses related to physical and spiritual health. The findings reveal that the Qur’an views youthful vitality not merely as a physical phenomenon but as a result of harmony between a pure heart, strong faith, and divinely recommended healthy lifestyle. Therefore, the concept of youthful vitality in the Qur’an holds a holistic meaning that encompasses the balance between soul and body.

Abstract

This article explores the manifestation of Allah's SWT mercy through the process of creation and the growth of life from the earth's most fundamental element: soil. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach that encompasses ecological, theological, and philosophical perspectives, this research examines how every speck of dust and soil particle serves as a sacred medium that allows life to grow and flourish. A deep analysis is conducted on relevant Qur'anic verses and hadiths concerning the origins of humans and plants from the earth, highlighting the close connection between physical and spiritual existence. The article argues that biological processes and the natural cycles of growth from the soil are not mere coincidental phenomena, but rather tangible evidence of continuous divine love and providence. Key findings indicate that the recognition of "the trace of Allah's mercy" in every aspect of nature can foster a deeper ecological and spiritual awareness, encouraging humanity to cherish the earth as a sacred trust and an invaluable source of life.

Abstract

Hipertensi sebagai salah satu permasalahan di dunia. Hipertensi tidak dapat disembuhkan melainkan dicegah sedini mungkin. Salah satu pencegahan hipertensi secara dini berupa penilaian awal menggunakan sistem skoring dalam memprediksi hipertensi berupa Early Detection of Hypertension Score. Sistem ini kemudian dikembangkan untuk masyarakat dalam bentuk ebook. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hipertensi setelah diberikan edukasi dengan Ebook EDH Score. Kegiatan ini mengukur pengetahuan tentang hipertensi sebelum dan sesudah diberikan intervensi dalam bentuk Ebook EDH Score. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat didapatkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang penyakit hipertensi setelah diberikan edukasi. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi kadar karbon pada baja terhadap kekuatan tarik material. Baja merupakan paduan logam yang banyak digunakan dalam industri manufaktur dan konstruksi karena sifat mekaniknya yang dapat disesuaikan melalui komposisi kimia, terutama kadar karbon. Dalam penelitian ini, dilakukan pengujian terhadap beberapa sampel baja dengan kadar karbon rendah (baja lunak), dan tinggi (baja keras). Uji tarik dilakukan untuk menentukan nilai kekuatan tarik maksimum dari masing-masing sampel. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kadar karbon dalam baja, semakin besar kekuatan tarik yang dihasilkan, namun dengan konsekuensi penurunan keuletan dan peningkatan kerapuhan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa kadar karbon merupakan parameter penting dalam menentukan karakteristik mekanik baja, sehingga perlu disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan aplikasi spesifik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengulas tentang desain dan implementasi sistem instrumentasi pada mesin uji tarikdengan kapasitas 5 ton. Tahapan yang dilakukanmencakup perancangan sensor pengukur gaya dan perubahan panjang, pembuatan sistem pengendali, hinggaproses pemasangan dan pengkalibrasian. Uji cobadilakukan dengan menggunakan baja karbon sebagaisampel untuk menilai performa sistem. Berdasarkan hasilpengujian, sistem ini mampu mencatat data gaya sertaregangan dengan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi, sertamenghasilkan kurva tegangan-regangan yang sahih. Dengan demikian, sistem ini layak digunakan dalampengujian material baik untuk keperluan riset maupunaplikasi industri.
