Abstract

MANAGEMENT STRATEGY OF MANUCOCO PROTECTED AREA COMMUNITY BASED IN ADMINISTRATIVE CITY OF ATAURO, DILI TIMOR-LESTEManucoco Protected Area is a mountainous conservation area which is very important for Atauro community because it functions as water catchment areas, especially water sources, important habitat for birds and other biodiversity, but there are still problems that occur such as deforestation, shifting cultivation, system of slash-and-burn cultivation, area zoning is not clear, the expansion of settlements and forest fires, all of these problems can give a less impact on ecological functions of the forest. The aims of this study are 1) to describe the perception of the public about the conservation of natural resources Manucoco Protected Area as a conservation area 2) to formulate management strategies for community-based Manucoco Protected Area. The data collection techniques used questionnaires, interviews, documentation, and focus group discussions, whereas the determination of the respondents used a purposive sampling method. To formulate a management strategy, internal and external factors were identified by using SWOT analysis. The results showed that the public perception of the function of the forest was that the forests had multiple functions, the public perception related to management policies showed that people did not know the forestry legislations. Public perception regarding the rights and obligations in the management strategy namely the public has the perception that forests are common property. Based on the SWOT analysis produced several community-based management strategies that can be used in the management of Manucoco protected areas as follow 1) Maximizing the primary function of forests, (2) Increasing public knowledge through an intensive socialization (3) Increasing the involvement or participation of the community 4) Encouraging the community-based forests protection through HKM 5) Acceleration of area zoning 6) Increasing related department supervision 7) Performing the empowerment of communities around the protected areas 8) Preparing management plans which needs to involve all stakeholders 9) Establishing the management unit in the village/sub-district levels.

Abstract

Increased sales of Dewi Sri (a brand of Balinese Rice Wine Product) at PT Hatten Bali based on Segmenting Targeting and Positioning Strategies in Bali The era of globalization results in increased business competition thus causing fluctuations in sales of products of Balinese rice wine of Dewi Sri that already experienced by PT Hatten Bali. The strategies that should be reinforced in the face of intense competition, the company should apply the strategies of segmenting, targeting and positioning. The study aimed to identify and categorize groups of buyers based on their characteristics, to select one segment of the potential market to enter, and to establish and to communicate the main benefits that differentiate the company's products with other products in the market. The research applies quantitative descriptive method by approaches of cluster analysis, crosstab, Multi Dimensional Scaling, and Correspondence Analysis which used primary data of 135 respondents. The research showed that the potential segment as target market of Balinese rice wine products of Dewi Sri which will be produced by PT Hatten Bali was the segment 1 by the segment percentage size of 63,0% compared to segment 2 (14,8%) and segment 3 (22,2%). Balinese rice wine product positioning has the advantage on product diversification and promotion attributes that differentiate it from its competitors (Eagle, Gwan Gwan Hoo, and Rice Bird) based on consumer perceptions. Therefore, PT Hatten Bali needs to create a unique product feature that is expected to increase sales of Balinese rice wine products of Dewi Sri.

Abstract

Factors that Influence the Decision to Purchase the Banyuatis Powder Coffee in Denpasar City The purchase decision is the act of the consumer buying a product or an item provided by a store. Consumers are influenced by information about products, prices, distribution, and promotion. In these conditions, the decision to choose a brand contributes to a modern lifestyle, so the desire to buy branded products also colors one's consumption pattern. For that, business people must know what factors are taken into consideration by consumers in making purchasing decisions. The sample studied was 85 respondents from the total unknown population with the sampling method used was accidental sampling. The primary data werecollected through interviews and questionnaires while secondary data weregathered from books and scientific documents; the method used in this study was descriptive analysis and SEM-PLS analysis. Descriptive analysis results were that Banyuatis products were based on packaging and variation; prices based on the weight of coffee sold, prices based on the type of coffee and prices based on coffee packaging; distribution is based on the type of coffee and coffee packaging, namely regular and premium, where regular distributed products are dominant in minimarkets and traditional stalls while premium products are distributed predominantly in gift shops, cafes and hotels; promotions include advertising, personal sales, sales promotions, and public relations. SEM-PLS analysis can be concluded that the product (X1), price (X2), distribution (X3), promotion (X4), and brand image (X5) had a positive and significant effect on purchasing decisions (Y) Banyuatis Powder Coffee. It is recommended that the Banyuatis Powder Coffee Company should continue to improve the quality in terms of product, price, promotion, distribution, and brand image to help improve purchasing decisions.

Abstract

Analysis of Superior Potential and Competitiveness of Plantation Crop Commodities in Jembrana Regency Plantation has a strategic position in the development of the agricultural sector in Jembrana. The research objective is to identify the leading plantation crop commodities in Jembrana Regency and to identify the competitiveness of the plantation crop commodities in each District in Jembrana Regency. Data were analyzed using Location Quetient (LQ), Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), and Shift Share Analysis (SSA) methods. The results show that each District in Jembrana Regency has different superior and number of plantation crops commodities that analyzed from the 11 plantation crops commodities, but these superior plantation crops commodities did not necessarily have competitiveness. The superior plantation crop commodities based on the results of the LQ analysis include deep coconut, deres coconut, hybrid coconut, clove, nutmeg, cocoa, robusta coffee, vanilla, coconut, kapok and tobacco. Plantation commodities in each district in Jembrana Regency that have the competitiveness are: deep coconut, deres coconut, early coconut and vanilla (Melaya District), deres coconut, hybrid coconut, early coconut, cocoa, robusta coffee, vanilla and nutmeg (Negara District), hybrid coconut, cocoa and nutmeg (Jembrana District), deep coconut, hybrid coconut, clove, robusta coffee and nutmeg (Mendoyo District), Pekutatan District does not have competitive plantation crops commodities.

Abstract

Health Rating of Mambal Village Unit Cooperative, Abiansemal Sub-District, Badung Regency Based on the Regulation of the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and MediumEnterprises of the Republic of Indonesia No.14/Per M. KUKM/XII/2009, Savings andLoan Cooperative Health Assessment (KSP) is a cooperative condition that deals withaspects of capital, productive asset quality, management, liquidity, efficiency,independence and growth as well as cooperative identity. By reviewing theseconditions, the objectives of this study are The health rating of the Mambal Village UnitCooperative in terms of capital, productive asset quality, management, efficiency,liquidity, independence and growth and cooperative identity in 2015 to 2017. Theresults of the study show that the assessment of the health level of the Mambal VillageUnit Cooperative in 2015-2017 was categorized as quite healthy, because it obtained amean score of 66.64.Suggestions that can be used as input for the Mambal VillageCooperative Unit, namely cooperative managers should be able to increase theacquisition of pre-tax profits by maximizing income through the participation ofmembers in savings and loan activities by maximizing their own capital. In addition,cooperative managers should improve the ability of cooperatives to serve theirmembers.

Abstract

The Effect of Pengembangan Usaha Agribisnis Perdesaan (PUAP) Program on the Rice Farmers' Production and Income (Case Study: Gapoktan of Belega Mandiri in Belega Village, Blahbatuh Sub-District, Gianyar Regency) Pengembangan Usaha Agribisnis Perdesaan (PUAP) Program is a form of facilitation of business capital assistance for member farmers, either farmers, peasants, farm workers and farm households coordinated by the Gabungan Kelompok Tani (Gapoktan). This research was conducted to investigate the effect of PUAP program on the production and income of rice farmers in the Joint Farmer Group of Belega Mandiri. The analytical method used to investigate the effect of PUAP on production was multiple linear regression analysis with Cobb-Douglas production function model in the form of natural logarithm, while to analyze the effect of PUAP on income was done by comparative analysis on cost, revenue, income, and total of R/C. The findings showed that PUAP has a significant effect on rice production in the Joint Farmer Group of Belega Mandiri. In addition to PUAP, factors affecting rice production include seeds and labors. The average cost, revenue, and income of PUAP users per hectare was higher than those of non-PUAP users. The t-test results showed that the average total of R/C value between the PUAP users and non-PUAP users was significantly different. This indicates that farming of PUAP users were more efficient than those of non-PUAP users.

Abstract

Regional economic growth is essentially a series of businesses and policies aimed atimproving economic relations from the primary sector to the secondary and tertiarysectors. Economic development is a policy focused on improving people's livingstandards, expanding employment, declaring revenue sharing and improving regionalrelationships among regions. The balance of development in North Badung and SouthBadung is often a discourse. The synergy of the tourism and agriculture sectors is theanswer to making this happen. This study aimed to identify superior and non-superiorcommodities as well as formulate a strategy of developing superior commodities inPetang District. The data used were secondary data in the form of time series data oragricultural production data of Badung Regency and Petang District in 2011-2015. Thedata were collected by document study and in-depth interviews, analyzed by LocationQuotient (LQ) and SWOT analysis method. The result of the analysis shows that foodcommodities belonging to the main commodities are corn, peanut, sweet potato, cassavaand asparagus while the rice commodity is included in non-commodity commodity.Plantation commodities included in the main commodities are coffee, cloves andvanilla, while coconut and cocoa are included in non-commodity commodities. Strategicdevelopment of superior commodities that need to be taken is to explore the potential ofnatural resources and improve the quality of human resources for the development ofsuperior commodities in Petang District.

Abstract

Analysis of Food Security in Sei Rampah Subdistrict, Serdang Bedagai District Food is the most fundamental human need with its fulfillment being the right for everyone. Fulfillment of food needs has four main aspects: food availability, food access, food utilization, food stability. In addition, nutritional status is the outcome of food security. This research aims to analyze the level of food security from three dimensions, namely, food availability, food access, and food utilization.This study uses secondary data obtained from relevant agencies, such as the Departments of Agriculture of Serdang Bedagai District and Sei Rampah. The method used in this research is calculation of indexes of food availability, food access, food utilization and the dimension of food security.The result suggests that the District of Sei Rampah is generally food secure. Looking at the dimension of food availability, 10 out of 17 villages experience high food surplus and 7 villages experience high deficit. The food access dimension of 17 villages shows high accessibility status, while the food utilization dimension shows high usefulness in every village. It is recommended that the government focuses on the proliferation of agricultural land areas in each village because so far only 10 villages produce rice and cassava. Future studies may investigate food insecurity at a broader level, such as at the level of regency and province.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Marketing Mix of Crayfish on Agro Crayfish Farmers Group in Denpasar The purpose of this study was to determine the application of the marketing mix of crayfish, the obstacles faced, and the strategies in the implementation. This research is descriptive qualitative. Based on the result of research on Agro Crayfish Farmers Group found that the application of the marketing mix in terms of products which is products marketed crayfish includes crayfish for consumption, breeding and nursery transplant. Pricing method is a fixed price. Distribution is defined direct and indirect distribution. The promotion is done by personal selling. The obstacle in product is that many crayfish dies due to cannibalism which could be resolved by feeding regularly. The obstacle in price is when the feed price goes up while the company can’t raise the determined price, and to cope with it the company has to get the consumers understanding. The obstacle in distribution is that during delivery there are some crayfish without claws or even dead, and to resolve it the company needs to limit the amount of crayfish per box. The obstacle in promotion is that the promotion done to market the product is not yet maximum, and to overcome it the promotion should be adjusted to the targeted market. Abstract

Consumer Attitudes Toward Attributes of Local and Import Orange in Denpasar Efforts to meet the needs of orange fruit to the community is reflected by the number of orange fruit imported into indonesia.Various types of orange on the market will affect consumer attitudes in buying local and imports orange fruit that will increase the competition's heat between local and imports orange fruit in Denpasar. The aims of this study are to determine the consumer attitudes toward orange fruit attributes, knowing the competitiveness of local orange fruit viewed from consumer attitudes toward the attributes of local and imports orange fruit in Denpasar. Data collection was conducted at Badung Market, Kreneng Market, Tiara Dewata Supermarket, Hardy's Supermarket and Moena Fresh Fruit Shop located in Denpasar. Determination of samples by accidental sampling method with the number of samples of 60 respondents. Fishbein shows more positive consumer attitudes toward imported orange fruit attributes than local orange fruit. The overall meaning of imported orange fruit is superior to that of local orange fruit for the tendency of competitiveness of local orange fruit is still lower with imported orange fruit.
