Abstract

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of utilizing an Infocus projector in thematic learning to enhance the academic performance of third-grade students in an elementary school. The research was conducted at State Elementary School 01 2x11 in Kayutanam, Padang Pariaman Regency. The Infocus projector served as a supplementary tool to facilitate a more interactive visualization of the instructional material. A quantitative method with quasi-experimental approach was employed, comparing control group pre-test post-test results within the same classroom. The study's participants comprised 18 third-grade students who had previously undergone traditional instruction without the use of the Infocus projector, and later experienced lessons with the technology. Data regarding students' academic performance were collected through pre- and post-treatment assessments, with statistical tests being employed for data analysis. The inferential analysis revealed a significant difference, with a calculated t-value of 4.58, surpassing the critical t-table value of 1.73. This outcome demonstrated the effectiveness of the Infocus projector in improving student learning outcomes. Notable improvements in student performance were evident when comparing pre-test and post-test results. The descriptive analysis indicated a pre-test score of 41.11 and a post-test score of 77.5. In conclusion, the incorporation of the Infocus projector in thematic instruction had a substantial positive impact on student academic achievement. The findings underscored the educational potential of such technology, emphasizing its importance in creating more engaging and effective learning experiences for elementary school students.

Abstract

Abstract

Goat fattening business is a line of business that has good prospects in the future. The need for goat meat that continues to increase from year to year is not matched by the growth of good livestock centers. Naga Jaya I Village is one of many villages where many people develop goat farming businesses. Some of the reasons people develop this business are the seed capital which is not too expensive compared to cattle or buffalo and the relatively short cycle of breeding (n < 1 year). In the midst of a fairly good business prospect, service partners in this activity still have classic obstacles in business development. The problems faced are capital, availability of technology for animal feed processing, small business management and management of the cage environment. Based on the problems faced by service partners, this activity is planned to be carried out with the aim of overcoming technological and management obstacles. The service team will provide solutions to these two problems by providing grass chopper/animal feed machines and increasing partner knowledge about the management of the enclosure environment through outreach activities. At the end of the activity, it is hoped that the productivity of partners will increase which is reflected in changes in feeding methods and environmental management behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps of collaborative educational supervision periodically in implementing learning, assessing learning achievement, carrying out follow-up assessments of student achievement and preparing lesson plans. So that learning objectives can be achieved. The research method used is descriptive qualitative method. This research includes research on school actions for initial data collection, data analysis results at the end of each cycle, as well as other responses from teachers on the implementation of collaborative educational supervision. The results of the study indicate that supervision of all teachers needs to be carried out periodically and set at the beginning of the school year (during the division of tasks). Educational supervision turns out to lead to an increase in teacher performance and student learning outcomes if it is carried out collaboratively. Collaborative educational supervision will be meaningful if the supervisor is a colleague who is already capable of the subject in question. Principals need to provide opportunities for teachers who are considered capable of supervising other teachers
