Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence the use of media-based discovery method's realities of the learning outcomes during the course Basic Concepts IPA 1 when compared to those taught using direct instruction-based Power Point (PPT). This research is a quantitative type of experiment using a quasi-experimental method (Quasi-Experimental Design). Experimental Design). Design research is the Control Group Pre-test Post-test. Populations of this study were all students of PGSD FKIP UNS second semester of academic year 2013/2014. Cluster Random Sampling is used in sampling. The technique of collecting data through observation, documentation, and testing. The data analysis technique used is the prerequisite test data analysis and hypothesis testing. For prerequisite test, including normality test with chip-square method and homogeneity test methods Bartlett. Based on the analysis of t test showed the t count t table (3.599 2.001), so that H0 is rejected. Thus there is a positive impact on learning outcomes of the course the basic concepts of science one-second semester students are taught using methods of discovery-based media reality. Conclusions This study is the result of learning the basic concepts of science subject 1 student taught by media-based discovery method's realities better than students taught by direct instruction-based power point. Keywords: discovery, media reality, learning outcomes, basic concepts IPA.

Abstract

This study aimed to describe: (1) achievement motivation, (2) self-efficacy, (3) student talent, (4) the correlation of achievement motivation with student talent (5) the correlation of self-efficacy with student talent, (6) the correlation of achievement motivation and self-efficacy with students' talents. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method of correlation. While the population of this study was elementary school students in the Former Residency of Solo. The sampling technique was proportional stratified random sampling. The instrument used was a Likert scale model. Data were analyzed using simple linear regression and multiple regression. The results of the study showed that: (1) In general, the description of achievement motivation and self-efficacy of elementary school students in the Former Residency of Solo belonged to the high category; (2) There was a negative and significant relationship between self-efficacy and the talents of elementary school students in the Former Residency of Solo; (3) There was a significant relationship between achievement motivation and self-efficacy with the talent of elementary school students in the Former Residency of Solo simultaneously.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of the self-regulated learning module on academic procrastination and critical thinking abilities among college students in the PGSD (Primary School Teacher Education) program at Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). This study follows an experimental design with a quasi-experimental approach. The research population comprises students enrolled in the PGSD program at UNS, with a sample size of 67 students. The sample group was divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class consisted of 34 students from class 2E, while the control class comprised 33 students from class 2F. Content validity assessment using Aiken’s V confirmed the validity of all research instruments were valid. The reliability of the instruments, as measured by Cronbach’s Alpha coefficient, indicated their reliability, with a coefficient value of 0.833 for the academic procrastination scale and 0.713 for the critical thinking test. The hypothesis testing employed a Manova Test for Multivariate Analysis. The results demonstrate a significant simultaneous effect of self-regulated learning modules on academic procrastination and critical thinking skills among PGSD students at UNS, with a significance value (Sig.) in the Multivariate Test of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. These research findings can positively impact students by enhancing their understanding and application of self-regulation in learning—a crucial skill to develop. Moreover, the outcomes of this experimental research can motivate students to invest more effort in improving the quality of their learning experiences, leading to a reduction in academic procrastination levels and an enhancement of critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning can provide self-reinforcement in gaining academic achievement which in this case is the ability to solve problems by using critical thinking skills. Students need to know their characteristics so they can plan learning strategies and self-regulation processes according to their characteristics so that their critical thinking skills can improve. The purpose of this research is to determine the level of conscientiousness and self-regulated learning (SRL) of university students in the elementary school teacher education study program at Sebelas Maret University. The research sample was 105 students from the class of 2022. The data collection technique used was a test. The data analysis used inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that the SRL of the students was 35% which was mostly in the medium category, while their critical thinking was 35% and mostly in the low category. Based on the Kendal Tau correlation test, the relationship between SRL and critical thinking skills was 0.000 0.05. The results of this research can be used as a reference to measure the correlation between SRL and the critical thinking of university students.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology is impacting the learning system in elementary schools and increasing students' screen time. Currently, teachers in Indonesia lack adequate digital competencies, which has become one of the factors affecting students' learning outcomes. This research aims to provide scientific evidence that learning through the use of interactive learning media can improve students' learning outcomes. This study employs the PRISMA method for a systematic literature review, utilizing internationally reputable databases such as Scopus, ScienceDirect, Springer, and ProQuest, covering publications from 2020 to 2024. A total of 21 articles met the research objectives based on the established inclusion and exclusion criteria. The study found a growing trend in the use of interactive learning media in elementary schools, with China emerging as the country with the highest number of relevant publications. Most of the research focuses on STEM subjects and utilizes online learning platforms. The study also revealed that the majority of interactive learning media are multimedia-based, making them engaging and enhancing student motivation. These findings serve as recommendations for future researchers to develop multimedia-based interactive learning media that accommodate various student learning styles. This report provides a scientific foundation for policymakers to establish best practices for the use of technology in education.
