Abstract

This study developed the "Cerita Kita" website, integrating ecocriticism and local wisdom to enhance elementary students' multiliteracy and literary appreciation. Using design-based research with the ADDIE framework, the prototype's validity was measured through expert validation (CVI=0.89-0.91), practicality via implementation success rate (88%) and System Usability Scale (SUS=81.4), and effectiveness through stratified ecocriticism assessments and reflective journals. The study involved 84 fourth-graders in urban (n=33) and rural (n=51) Malang, Indonesia. Quantitative data analysis employed descriptive statistics and paired t-tests, showing significant multiliteracy gains, particularly in ecological awareness (rural: 78.6±18.3; urban: 56.4±21.7; p<0.01). Qualitative thematic analysis revealed that rural students' cultural connections drove their 39.2% superiority in environmental applications. The Coban Rondo legend proved most effective (87% ecological interpretation accuracy). Results demonstrate that cultural anchoring—not technological sophistication—is pivotal for digital multiliteracy, offering a sustainable model for Global South educational contexts that prioritizes cultural narratives over complex technology to achieve SDG 4.7 goals.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan secara mendalam bagaimana kegiatan eksplorasi tanah liat yang dikaitkan dengan nilai-nilai budaya lokal dapat mengembangkan kreativitas anak usia dini melalui penerapan pendekatan saintifik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus yang dilaksanakan di TK Pertiwi Mayangsari Bendosewu 02, Kabupaten Blitar. Peneliti hadir secara langsung sebagai instrumen utama untuk melakukan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi secara sistematis. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan Miles dan Huberman, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan dan verifikasi kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan eksplorasi tanah liat yang dipadukan dengan budaya lokal mampu menstimulasi kreativitas anak secara menyeluruh, meliputi aspek kognitif, motorik halus, imajinasi, dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah. Anak menjadi lebih berani bereksperimen, mengenal bentuk-bentuk baru, serta mampu menghubungkan pengalaman budaya di lingkungan sekitar ke dalam karya yang mereka buat. Eksplorasi tanah liat berbasis budaya lokal terbukti efektif sebagai sarana pengembangan kreativitas anak usia dini dalam konteks pembelajaran saintifik.

Abstract

This research was aimed at describing as well as explaining certain types of Indonesian illocutionary acts, usages, and their impacts on family interactions. Communicative and pragmatic designs were used in the research. The results of the research indicate that Indonesian commissive illocutionary acts in family interactions include promises as well as bargain actions, and these actions can develop through various powers. They are implicated by the usage of the following principles: politeness, cooperation and values developing in the family. The principles are also influenced by the socio-cultural dimensions.

Abstract

This study focuses on (1) directive speech acts in Indonesian elementary school classroom discourse and (2) the impact of their use in classroom interaction. The research employed an ethnographic method combined with a pragmatic approach. The results of the data analysis indicate that directive speech acts in elementary school classrooms include ordering, requesting, encouraging, questioning, and directing. Furthermore, the impacts of these directive acts are reflected in students’ responses, such as silence, performing tasks according to the given instructions, and displaying attitudes of willingness and responsiveness toward the learning process.
