Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of the concept and principle of Total Quality Management (TQM) and try to integrating Four Pillars of Schools of Quality (FPSQ) into playgroup/kindergarten’s system, which used the accreditation standard as the standard to improving school’s of quality. The method used in this article is a literature review based on observation and interview results in this school. The analysis results show that unconsciously this playgroup/kindergarten has implemented concept and principle in achieving its accreditation, and from FPSQ indicators can be said that these schools have applied the first step in total quality improvement. Based on the results, it can be assumed that integration FPSQ into the school’s system would form a quality school culture that not only refers to the achievement of accreditation’s score.

Abstract

The capacity of school administrative staff plays an important role in improving the quality of education. Low administrative staff capacity in educational institutions can have a significant impact on the quality of educational services and student learning outcomes. Administrative staff capacity that is not optimal can also cause economic losses. This can affect the overall performance of the organization, including the quality of educational services provided. This research aims to identify and develop effective strategies in increasing the capacity of school administrative staff, so that they can contribute directly to improving the quality of education at various levels. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with data collection through literature study. Data sources focus on secondary data sources. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis. The findings obtained are that the strategy for developing the capacity of school administrative staff includes continuous training and development, the formation of a Professional Learning Community (PLC), a leadership role in supervision and support, effective collaboration and cooperation, and an integrated capacity development model.

Abstract

Globalisasi membawa dampak positif dan negatif bagi seluruh lini kehidupan masyarakat, salah satunya dengan terjadinya degradasi moral peserta didik. Degradasi moral dapat merusak karakter peserta didik serta mengakibatkan terkikisnya nilai-nilai Pancasila dan nilai-nilai budaya bangsa. Solusi dalam penyelesaian terkait degradasi moral peserta didik yaitu melalui pendidikan karakter berbasis local wisdom. Rabu Anjawani menjadi salah satu kebijakan yang tepat dalam revitalisasi karakter peserta didik serta untuk melestarikan kebudayaan Jawa. Menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Subjek penelitian diantaranya Kepala sekolah, Wakil Kepala Sekolah bagian Kesiswaan, Guru Bahasa Jawa, Peserta didik dan Alumni sekolah. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan kebijakan Rabu Anjawani dilakukan pada proses pembelajaran dan non pembelajaran. Bentuk-bentuk kegiatan dalam kebijakan Rabu Anjawani seperti berkomunikasi menggunakan Bahasa Jawa, penggunaan seragam batik khas Mojokerto dipadu dengan Blangkon, serta pemutaran musik gamelan ketika jam istirahat berlangsung. Nilai-nilai kebudayaan Jawa seperti tepa selira, unggah-ungguh, grapayak semanak, dan cinta kebudayaan. Faktor pendukung dalam implementasi kebijakan Rabu Anjawani yaitu adanya kesadaran dan tingkat semangat dari warga sekolah dalam mengembangkan dan membudidayakan kebijakan Rabu Anjawani, sedangkan faktor penghambat yaitu, bahasa Ibu peserta didik menggunakan bahasa Indonesia serta beberapa peserta didik di lingkungan rumah tidak menggunakan bahasa Jawa.

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe the intracurricular and extracurricular Islamic Center as a means of integrating the habituation of scientific attitudes and fostering piety of students at public SMA of 1 Kesamben, Blitar. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection was carried out using interview techniques, observation, and documentary studies. Data analysis was carried out interactively starting from data collection, condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study are (1) a form of scientific attitude that is habituated to students at school can be carried out through routine habituation activities and habituation during learning; (2) the values of taqwa that are fostered in students include a series of habituation activities, namely mandatory wearing of the hijab, praying before and after carrying out lessons, performing obligatory and sunnah prayers in congregation, and morning tadarus; (3) types of Islamic Center extracurricular activities developed in schools, namely routine training once a week, hadrah or al-banjari, thaharah by cleaning the mosque environment, Al-Quran Reading Arts (SBQ), Commemoration of Islamic Holidays (PHBI), attending MCRB (Majelis Cinta Rosul Blitar), competitions in the field of religion and compensation for orphans; (4) Islamic Center extracurriculars in integrating the habituation of scientific attitudes and fostering piety there are several habits; (5) the integration strategy of habituation of scientific attitudes and fostering piety through Islamic Center extracurricular activities includes habituation and exemplary activities by coaches in Islamic Center extracurricular activitiesKeywords: intracurricular; extracurriculars; scientific attitude; development of taqwa Abstrak: Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan mengenai intrakurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler Islamic Centre sebagai wahana integrasi pembiasaan sikap ilmiah dan bina taqwa peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Kesamben, Blitar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumenter. Analisis data dilakukan secara interaktif mulai dari pengumpulan data, kondensasi, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah (1) bentuk sikap ilmiah yang dibiasakan pada diri peserta didik di sekolah dapat dilakukan melalui kegiatan pembiasaan rutin dan dilakukan pembiasaan saat pembelajaran; (2) nilai-nilai taqwa yang dibina pada diri peserta didik meliputi rangkaian kegiatan pembiasaan, yakni peraturan wajib memakai hijab, berdoa sebelum dan sesudah melakukan pembelajaran, melakukan ibadah sholat wajib dan sunnah berjamaah, dan tadarus pagi; (3) jenis kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Islamic Centre yang dikembangkan di sekolah, yaitu latihan rutin satu minggu sekali, hadrah atau al-banjari, thaharah dengan membersihkan lingkungan mushola, Seni Baca Al-Quran (SBQ), Peringatan Hari Besar Islam (PHBI), mengikuti MCRB (Majelis Cinta Rosul Blitar), lomba bidang keagamaan dan santunan anak yatim; (4) ekstrakurikuler Islamic Centre dalam mengintegrasikan pembiasaan sikap ilmiah dan bina taqwa terdapat beberapa pembiasaan; (5) strategi integrasi pembiasaan sikap ilmiah dan bina taqwa melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Islamic Centre meliputi kegiatan pembiasaan dan keteladanan oleh pembina dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler Islamic Centre.Kata kunci: intrakurikuler; ekstrakurikuler; sikap ilmiah; bina taqwa

Abstract

The transformation of education through curriculum and learning management is a critical aspect of adapting to modern demands. Education transformation in response to the challenges posed by Industry 5.0 and Society 5.0 demands education transformation manifested to re-conceptualization of curricula and pedagogical practices. This study aimed to assess the professional development of teachers in implementing curriculum management towards Education 5.0. The study in this article applied systematic literature review (SLR) using Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) resulting in 225 articles (5 records included) were screened. The results showed that teacher professionalism is an essential factor in improving educational systems and ensuring high-quality teaching. It is imperative to establish professional development through continuous professional development programs for teachers, advocating systemic changes that enhance teaching practices and foster collaborative learning environments to better meet the evolving needs of students.

Abstract

The era of moral crisis creates anxiety in society and must be addressed immediately, one of which is through moral education. The head of MI Islamiyah Wonoplintahan has implemented the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) religious culture with a spiritual leadership style to provide moral education to madrasah residents, especially students, so that they have good morals. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type of research. Data collection techniques use interviews, observation and documentation. The research results show the following results: (1) the head of the madrasah has the characteristics of leading with heart, humble, free and empowering, disciplined, respected by those he leads, his work is relaxed and serving, fair, tolerant, spirit of good deeds and honesty; (2) the forms of NU religious culture at MI Islamiyah Wonoplinlahan Sidoarjo, namely istighosah, tahlil, pilgrimage, morning reading of nadhoman books written by NU ulama, Friday blessings on Friday Legi, banjari prayers, dhikr/praise together out loud, and Celebration of Islamic Holidays (PHBI) NU theme; (3) the head of the madrasah in implementing NU religious culture has an important role, namely creating programs, motivating, being an example, and collaborating with student parents and the NU community; (4) the application of NU religious culture with spiritual leadership carried out by the head of the madrasah has the impact of fostering a sense of caring and mutual respect in the madrasah environment, students' attitudes are getting better and Students have memorized the Al-Qur’an and the book, the work ethic and performance of employees is increasing, the response is good from student parents, and and have an impact on the progress of madrasah. Abstract

The "Comparison of Education Policy Systems in Indonesia and Malaysia – Future Challenges and Opportunities" study aims to examine the similarities and differences in education policies between Indonesia and Malaysia. The research identifies the need to improve Indonesia's education system to align with neighboring countries, particularly Malaysia and Singapore. The study employs a literature review method to compare education policies, focusing on character education, education management, and overall educational structures. The results indicate that Indonesia's education policies are categorized as low, primarily due to the lack of advanced character education strategies and management systems. Malaysia's education system, on the other hand, offers free education and additional community assistance, contributing to its more advanced status. The study concludes that enhancing Indonesian education policies through character education and effective management can improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study discusses digital transformation in the management of school administrative personnel, which is a solution to improve efficiency and accountability in education management. The problem raised is the challenge faced by school administration personnel in managing administration conventionally. Such management often results in information delays and administrative errors. The purpose of this study is to explore the application of digital technology in school administration management and its impact on the performance of administrative staff. The method used includes the analysis of the review literature, namely by collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing various sources of literature relevant to the research topic. The results show that the application of information and communication technology significantly improves operational efficiency, accelerates decision-making, and increases accountability through a transparent reporting system. The conclusion of this study confirms that digital transformation not only reduces administrative workload, but also creates a more responsive and organized learning environment, supporting the achievement of higher educational goals.

Abstract

Abstract Academic supervision plays a crucial role in assisting teachers to enhance their skills in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. This research aims to explore the role of academic supervision in improving teachers' skills in the Merdeka Curriculum era at Elementary Schools. Utilizing a qualitative method through Systematic Literature Review (SLR), subsequent analysis will be conducted on a number of relevant studies. Through literature review and identification of effective approaches in academic supervision implementation and its impact on enhancing teachers' skills. The research findings indicate that academic supervision oriented towards collaborative learning, constructive feedback, and professional development significantly impacts improving the quality of education in Elementary Schools. However, there are several challenges in effectively implementing academic supervision in the Merdeka Curriculum era, including paradigm shifts, the crucial role of supervisors' skills, and the need for adequate time and resources. The implications of this research include the importance of developing structured and sustainable supervision programs as efforts to support the improvement of education quality in the era of the Merdeka Curriculum. Abstrak Supervisi akademik berperan sangat penting dalam membantu guru meningkatkan keterampilan pada era Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali peran supervisi akademik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan guru pada era Kurikulum Merdeka di Sekolah Dasar. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif melalui Sistematic Literature Review (SLR), selanjutnya akan dilakukan analisis pada sejumlah penelitian-penelitian yang relevan. Melalui tinjauan terhadap literatur, dan melakukan identifikasi pendekatan-pendekatan yang efektif dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik serta dampaknya terhadap peningkatan keterampilan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa supervisi akademik yang berorientasi pada pembelajaran kolaboratif, pemberian umpan balik konstruktif, dan pengembangan profesionalisme guru memiliki dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar. Namun terdapat beberapa tantangan dalam pelaksanaan supervisi akademik secara efektif dalam era Kurikulum Merdeka yang mencakup perubahan paradigma, keterampilan supervisor sangat penting, diperlukan waktu dan sumber daya yang memadai. Implikasi penelitian ini mencakup pentingnya pengembangan program supervisi yang terstruktur dan berkelanjutan sebagai upaya mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan di era Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

School cafeteria is a special service that provides healthy food and drinks for students and school staff who occupy a building part of the school building. The cafeteria is one form of school attention to the school community in order to meet their needs. The purpose of this study was to determine how the canteen is managed in schools. The method used is a qualitative approach with interview and observation techniques. The results of this study are that schools implement POAC management in managing school canteens.
