Abstract

The many demands in designing mathematics learning mean that some teachers and prospective mathematics teachers are unable to carry it out well. This research aims to analyze the relationship between students' skills in compiling mathematics teaching modules and their skills in carrying out learning variations. This research uses quantitative methods. A total of 3 classes with a total of 106 students were the subjects of this research, namely students. Researchers used purposive sampling technique. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The quantitative data analysis technique uses the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. Based on the research results, it was found that as many as 23% of students were able to compose the teaching module as a whole well. The skill of preparing teaching modules has a positive correlation with the skill of carrying out learning variations. Based on the Pearson Product Moment correlation test, the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.000 < 0.05, with a Pearson Correlation value of 0.840. This shows that there is a very strong correlation between the skills in preparing teaching modules and the skills in creating variations. Students who prepare teaching modules, especially the core components of good learning, have a fairly calm demeanor when carrying out learning simulations. When performance is calm, variations in learning can be seen. Practicing students will be able to make learning more interactive.

Abstract

The character education of nationalism, as outlined in the Merdeka Curriculum, needs to be implemented from an early age, particularly at the elementary school level. However, many teachers still prioritize cognitive assessments over character education. This study aims to explore, analyze, and describe the activities of culture-based nationalism character education conducted by teachers in the classroom. This research employs a qualitative method with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out through three stages: data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the activities conducted by teachers to foster culture-based nationalism character include four aspects: first, activities to introduce culture; second, activities to appreciate culture; third, interaction across cultural differences; and fourth, reflection on cultural experiences. Can be concluded that the culture-based nationalism character education within the Merdeka Curriculum can thrive through classroom learning, with teachers acting as facilitators who integrate cultural diversity and local wisdom from their respective regions.

Abstract

Self-regulated learning skills are very important for students to be able to plan, monitor, and evaluate learning independently so that they can achieve optimal academic abilities. Basic mathematical concepts are difficult to understand and require optimal learning readiness. Flipped classroom is a learning model that encourages students' SLR to achieve optimal learning outcomes. This study aimed to analyze the effect of SLR on learning outcomes moderated by flipped classrooms. The research uses a quantitative approach by applying linear regression and moderation regression data analysis techniques. The subjects of this study were 38 people, 7 of whom were male students and 31 female students, with each subject in the age range of 16-18 years, who acted as class D PGSD students, Yogyakarta State University, Class of 2024. The results showed that the effect of SLR on the learning outcomes of PGSD students in introductory mathematics concept lectures was only 1.2%. However, suppose SLR is applied to the practice of flipped classroom learning. In that case, it can moderate the effect of the SLR variable on the learning outcomes of basic mathematics concepts of number concepts by up to 43.3%. This concludes that the SLR of students will significantly affect the existence of learning practices designed with the flipped classroom model. Thus, implementing the flipped classroom substantially moderates the effect of SLR on the learning outcomes of elementary school teacher candidates in introductory mathematics concept lectures.
