Abstract

This study aims to integrate the Science Technology and Society models on the students' processes in grade IV elementary school. The implementation of this study uses a quantitative approach with a type of quasi-experimental research. The population of the study sample was calculated from the second class, namely the fourth grade of SD Negeri Margoagung as the experimental class and class IV SD Ngino 1 as the control class. Data analysis is an independent sample t-test. The results showed that there was a significant influence of the Science and Community Technology model on the process skills of the fourth grade students of Seyegan Margoagung Group with a value of 0.751 and p 0.000 0.05. The Science Technology Model and the Unused Community. The Science Technology Model and Sociality are significant and positive in terms of process skills and student participation. This learning model can be applied to classes that can improve the process and involvement of students, students are easier to receive the material delivered by the teacher.PENGARUH MODEL SCIENCE TECHNOLOGY AND SOCIETY TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN PROSES SAINS Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh model Science Technology and Society terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada kelas IV SD. Pelaksanaan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian quasi eksperimen. Populasi sampel penelitian yang digunakan diambil dari dua kelas yaitu kelas IV SD Negeri Margoagung sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas IV SD Ngino 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah independent sampel t-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan model Science Technology and Society terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas IV SD seGugus Margoagung Seyegan dengan nilai thitung 0,751 dan p 0,000 0,05. Model Science Technology and Society berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa. Model Science Technology and Sociaety berpengaruh secara signifikan dan positif ditinjau dari keterampilan proses sains dan partisipasi siswa. Model pembelajaran ini dapat diterapkan pada suatu kelas dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses sains dan partisipasi siswa, sehingga siswa lebih mudah dalam menerima materi yang disampaikan oleh guru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in citizenship education learning. The use of PBL models in this study aims to help students develop investigative skills to be able to solve the problem at hand. The method in this study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and is used in the pre-test and post-test design groups. The subjects in this study were 34 students in SMP Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. The data analysis technique used "t" test with SPSS 16 assistance program and N-gain score test. The results of this study indicate that the PBL learning model on the values of the Pancasila material as a basis for the country and the national outlook on life significantly influence student motivation and learning outcomes. In this case, the PBL model can develop learning motivation and learning outcomes in the medium category.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangan media big book untuk meningkatkan perilaku moral pada anak kelompok B usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research Development (RD). Media pembelajaran yang dihasilkan berupa media pembelajaran big book. Data diperoleh melalui teknik wawancara, lembar penilaian dari ahli media dan materi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah anak kelompok bermain yang berjumlah 34 anak. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa media big book dapat membantu guru dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran, khususnya meningkatkan perilaku moral pada anak usia dini. Penggunaan big book berdampak positive terhadap meningkatkan perilaku moral, dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi yaitu 37.5 dan kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata 20. Big book media development to improve moral behavior in children aged 5-6 years AbstractThis study aims to develop a big book media to improve moral behavior in group B children aged 5-6 years. This study uses the Research Development (R D) method. The learning media produced are in the form of big book learning media. Data was obtained through interview techniques, assessment sheets from media and material experts. The subjects of this study were 34 children playing group children. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion it can be concluded that the big book media can help teachers in developing learning media, especially increasing moral behavior in early childhood. The use of the big book has a positive impact on improving moral behavior, with the average experimental class higher, 37.5 and the control class with an average of 20.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi pendidikan karakter demokratis pada siswa di SMAN 1 Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang melalui pembelajaran PPKn. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Observasi digunakan oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh data saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Wawancara digunakan oleh peneliti untuk memperoleh data dari guru dan siswa di SMA Negeri 1 Kesamben Kabupaten Jombang. Data dokumentasi yang diperoleh peneliti berupa perangkat pembelajaran yang dimiliki guru yaitu RPP. Keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui triangulasi teknik (observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi) dan pencocokan data dengan teori. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan verifikasi data. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa nilai karakter demokratis di masukkan guru melalui mata pelajaran PPKn dengan menggunakan metode diskusi. Sedangkan evaluasi dari penanaman karakter demokratis dilakukan dengan evaluasi tertulis dan tidak tertulis untuk melihat moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action.Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter demokratis, pembelajaran PPKn THE IMPLEMENTATION OF DEMOCRATIC CHARACTER EDUCATION THROUGH PANCASILA AND CIVIC IN GRADE XIIAbstractThis research was aimed to explain the implementation of a democratic character education through Pancasila and civics in grade XII students of senior high school. This was a descriptive qualitative study. The research data were collected through observation, interview and documentation. The observation was used to obtain data during the learning process. Interview was used to obtain data from the teacher and students in Senior High School in Kesamben Jombang Regency. The document used as information research way a set of lesson plan. Data validity of this research was obtained through triangulations technique (observation, interview, and documentation) and data theory verification. Data analyses used were data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. This research showed that the implementation of a democratic character education through the Pancasila and civics in grade XII students of senior high school could be applied well using a discussion learning method. The evaluation for character democratic used written evaluation and non test evaluation for know a moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral action.Keywords: democratic character education, Pancasila and civic learning

Abstract

Karakter toleransi diperlukan bagi setiap individu untuk menciptakan perdamaian di suatu negara. Oleh karena itu karakter toleransi perlu ditanamkan sejak dini agar anak dapat memahami dan menerima setiap perbedaan dari orang lain. Mempelajari karakter toleransi dapat dilakukan melalui berbagai metode salah satunya dengan bercerita menggunakan media big book. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas big book berbasis cerita rakyat dalam meningkatkan karakter toleransi pada anak usia 5-6 tahun. Penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan pretes-tposttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah anak-anak berusia 5-6 tahun di Taman kanak-kanak Manonjaya dengan sampel 15 anak dalam kelompok eksperimen dan 15 anak dalam kelompok kontrol. Sampel diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling non-acak. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi karakter toleransi. Analisis data menggunakan uji homogenitas, uji normalitas, t-test dengan signifikansi tingkat 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media big book berbasis cerita rakyat efektif untuk meningkatkan toleransi karakter anak-anak berusia 5-6 tahun

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to measure the implementation effect of limited face-to-face learning in the new normal era towards elementary school student learning motivation. This research used an ex- post facto approach. The research population is fifth-grade students in Gugus Alalak, Banjarmasin, Indonesia total number of 296 students.  The research sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique with a total of 183 fifth-grade students in the Alalak cluster, Banjarmasin, Indonesia. The data collection used are questionnaires given to 183 fifth grade students and interviews with 6 teachers in fifth grade. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis and inferential analysis. Research findings show that the online learning process and change to limited face-to-face learning turn out to have an effect on students' learning motivation at school, in limited face-to-face learning students also become more motivated in learning.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to know the understanding level of the various values of character education in Civics courses in Elementary School (PPKN SD) toward the students of Elementary School Teacher Education (ESTE), Education Faculty, at a state university in Yogyakarta. This is a descriptive quantitative study with a survey method. The population of this research are 307 ESTE students in the 2019 academic year. The samples were taken using random sampling, including 174 students. The instrument used was a multiple-choice test through a google form link. The instrument was validated by expert judgement. The data analysis technique used was descriptive analysis in a percentage. The result of the study shows that the understanding level of various values in character education in Civics courses of the elementary school toward ESTE students were categorized as "low" 6.90% (12 students), "enough" 39.65% (69 students) and "high" 53.45% (93 students). Based on the average value, 76.99, ESTE students' understanding level was categorized as High.

Abstract

Social awareness (Caring) is one of the important character implanted in early childhood as the basic foundation for the development of other characters. Therefore, efforts to introduce and plant it is important. One of them through storytelling activities by using media that appeal to children. This study aims to acquire, collect, analyze information and data used as a reference in the design of an interesting storybook media that is pop-up developed with the character base. Especially to instill the character of social caring in accordance with the needs of the field. This research method used field observation and also interview with Kindergarten teachers in Sewon Bantul Yogyakarta. Based on the results of observations and interviews found the results that children are more interested in the storybook with a more realistic appearance and can move the pop-up but the contents of the pop-up book that there is not much that contains the content of planting characters especially social caring. So with the doing of this media design is expected to be a solution and facilitate teachers to instill social care characters in early childhood and social character of children can develop well.

Abstract

Civic education is one of the compulsory subjects in elementary schools. This subject has a strong relationship with the social environment. This study aims to identify various types of environmental learning resources used by prospective teacher students in designing learning tools for civic education in elementary schools. Furthermore, the type of this research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were college students of the elementary school teacher education study program who took the civic education development course. The data collection in this study was carried out by observations, interviews, and document analysis. The validity of the data was checked using triangulation. The analysis used in this study is inductive. Finally, the results showed that the environmental utilization by prospective teacher college students in the learning of civic education in elementary schools involves the family environment, school environment, and community environment. In addition, the use of the environment as a learning resource is intended to develop teaching materials and to prepare LKPD activities.

Abstract

This research is based on a needs analysis of interview result to the fifth-grade elementary school teachers in Kalasan District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region who stated that educational game media was needed to enrich the variety of instructional media and improve students' critical thinking skills. The purpose of this research and development is to produce an appropriate and effective educational game. This product development relies on Borg Gall model which includes ten steps: information gathering, planning, initial product development, limited field trials, product revisions, expanded field trials, product revisions, operational field trials, final product revisions, and dissemination and implementation. Product trials were conducted at SD Negeri Sorogenen 2, SD Negeri Tamanan 1, and SD Negeri Tunjungsari 2 in Kalasan District, Sleman Regency, Yogyakarta Special Region. Practicality test was carried out by implementing questionnaires concerning teachers’ and students’ response after the learning process. Effectiveness test during the field trials was conducted using pretest-posttest questions. The results showed that the developed educational game was suitable for use according to media experts with a score of 85.71 or in ‘Very Good’ category and material experts with a score of 67.50 or in the good category. Based on statistical tests, the educational game was proven to be effective in improving students’ critical thinking skills during the learning process.
