Abstract

Pancasila Education plays a vital role in shaping student character in line with national values. However, its implementation in schools often remains suboptimal and does not reflect the evolving characteristics and needs of today’s learners. This study investigates the necessity for innovative, technology-integrated teaching materials to enhance the effectiveness of Pancasila Education. This qualitative research employed a case study approach. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and document analysis, involving teachers and students as key participants. The findings reveal a strong need among teachers for innovative and student-centred teaching materials, particularly those that leverage digital technologies to make learning more relevant and engaging. Although many schools are equipped with adequate technological infrastructure, teachers often face challenges in designing and integrating technology-based instructional tools into Pancasila Education. These challenges stem primarily from a lack of training and limited access to appropriate digital teaching resources. To optimize Pancasila Education, it is essential to develop teaching materials aligned with both technological advancements and students' learning characteristics. Teacher capacity-building programs focusing on digital pedagogy and instructional design are recommended. These efforts will not only improve the learning experience but also ensure that Pancasila values are effectively internalized by students in a way that resonates with the digital era.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial) has emerged as a promising pedagogical approach to integrating Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into elementary education. This literature review synthesizes recent studies (2021–2025) on the implementation of PjBL in IPAS and its impact on environmental awareness among elementary school students. The review reveals that PjBL fosters active learning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills by engaging students in real-world environmental projects such as waste management, biodiversity conservation, and eco-campaigns. These activities align with SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 13 (Climate Action), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). Findings indicate that PjBL significantly enhances students’ understanding of sustainability issues and promotes pro-environmental behaviors. The study concludes that PjBL-IPAS learning offers a transformative pathway to cultivating environmentally conscious citizens and advancing the SDGs through foundational education.

Abstract

Character education is a pivotal element in fostering moral and ethical values among students. This study explores the synergistic impact of parental and community involvement in character education within schools. Using a qualitative phenomenological approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observations, and document analysis across three schools in diverse socio-economic settings. The findings reveal that parental involvement, such as reinforcing values at home and participating in school activities, significantly enhances students' moral development. Likewise, community engagement through mentorship, resources, and local partnerships provides a supportive environment for instilling positive character traits. However, challenges such as conflicting values, limited time, and communication gaps were identified as barriers to effective collaboration. This research underscores the importance of an integrated approach, aligning efforts between parents, community members, and educators to optimize character education outcomes. The study highlights practical strategies and theoretical contributions, advocating for enhanced communication and joint initiatives to nurture students' character development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need for the integration of the traditional game-based Team Games Tournament (TGT) model in elementary school learning. The method used is qualitative descriptive research with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observations, and focused group discussions (FGD) in elementary schools. The results show that both teachers and students express a high need for a more interactive and collaboration-based learning model, where TGT can increase student engagement. Traditional games, which are rich in local cultural values, have been shown to enrich the learning experience and support the development of students' social skills. The main challenge found was the lack of teachers' understanding of how to integrate traditional games in TGT. The implications of these findings are the need to develop learning models that combine TGT and traditional games, as well as training for teachers to optimize their implementation in primary school learning, in order to create more comprehensive and meaningful learning.   Keywords: learning innovation; Team Games Tournament; Traditional Games; Cooperative Learning
