Abstract

Downsindromes need media to help them focus on learning and understand the material about numbers. Subjects who are classified as active behavior may have creative thinking abilities that need to be explored. The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of video media with artificial intelligence (AI) articulation with modeling techniques and the results of improving creative thinking skills in down syndrome disabilities. Qualitative research with an approach to data analysis using descriptive was conducted to obtain data. The method of interview, observation with the help of video recording was used in data collection. The results of this study state that learning carried out using video media with artificial intelligence articulation with modeling techniques can be applied well, indicated by SDS can be active and focused in participating in learning activities. The increase in creative thinking skills from the beginning has not appeared at all creative thinking skills to the results obtained that SDS has the ability to think creatively with 2 indicators appearing, namely flexibility and originality.

Abstract

Tana Toraja merupakan salah satu daerah yang juga sangat kental dengan budayanya. Budaya tersebut banyak ditemukan unsur-unsur matematika. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi dan menyelidiki konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam ornamen Tulak Somba di rumah adat (Tongkonan) Toraja. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian etnografis dengan pendekatan penelitian kualitatif. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data primer diperoleh dari hasil wawancara, sedangkan data sekunder dari hasil observasi, dokumentasi, dan penelitian terlebih dahulu yang relevan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan konsep matematika yang terdapat dalam ornament Tulak Somba pada Rumah Tongkonan Toraja pada kativitas etnomatematika yaitu: 1) Aktivitas membilang atau menghitung (counting) berkaitan dengan konsep bilangan genap, yakni terkait jumlah kerbau yang dikorbankan pada saat upacara pemakaman di Toraja khususnya di lembang Sillanan. 2) Aktifitas mengukur (measuring) berhubungan dengan konsep sudut, yakni terkait dengan sudut kemiringan atap atau longa yang ditopang oleh Tulak Somba. 3) Aktivitas menentukan arah dan lokasi (locating) yakni terkait arah pemasangan motif tanduk kerbau (utara dan selatan). Hadirnya etnomatematika di masa depan bisa meningkatkan atau mengembangkan pelajaran berkaitan dengan bangunan Rumah Adat (Tongkonan) tujuannya agar lebih spesifik atau berkembangnya konsep matematika yang sudah diketahui.

Abstract

The Flipped Classroom model has become an intriguing topic in the context of mathematics education at the tertiary level. This literature review article aims to analyze the success of implementing the Flipped Classroom model in mathematics education at the tertiary level by exploring influencing factors. In-depth literature review was conducted to identify patterns and trends in evaluating the success of this model, including challenges faced and recommendations for further development. The results indicate that technological readiness, teacher involvement, student engagement, institutional support, and continuous evaluation are key factors in the success of implementing the Flipped Classroom model. This article provides valuable insights for educators and researchers in designing and implementing effective teaching models in tertiary education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bertujuan untuk menggambarkan pemahaman konsep integral mahasiswa calon guru melalui aksi dan proses ditinjau dari perbedaan gender. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari satu orang mahasiswa perempuan dan satu orang mahasiswa laki-laki. Data dikumpulkan melalui lembar tugas dan wawancara. Tahap aksi subjek perempuan ditunjukkan dengan penyelesaian integral tentu secara terurut sesuai rumus. Ketika menentukan luas daerah, subjek perempuan langsung menggunakan rumus integral dengan fungsi dan batas yang ada dalam masalah tanpa memperhatikan bentuk dan letak daerah yang dibentuk oleh kurva. Aksi subjek laki-laki ketika menentukan integral tentu adalah menghitung integral menggunakan rumus yang sesuai. Ketika menentukan luas daerah di bawah kurva, subjek laki-laki terlebih dahulu menggambarkan bentuk kurva yang dimaksud dan memperhatikan posisi daerah terhadap sumbu . Pada tahap proses, subjek perempuan mengenali terlebih dahulu bentuk integral yang diberikan dan selanjutnya menjelaskan langkah-langkah penyelesaiannya. Ketika menjelaskan cara menghitung luas daerah di bawah kurva, subjek perempuan menjelaskan langkah-langkah penyelesaian yakni menggunakan integral tentu dengan batas atas dan batas bawah yang ditentukan dalam soal tanpa memperhatikan posisi daerah. Sedangkan tahap proses subjek laki-laki ditunjukkan dengan menjelaskan cara menghitung luas daerah dengan diawali menggambar daerah yang dibatasi oleh kurva yang diberikan, memperhatikan posisi daerah terhadap sumbu , menentukan bentuk integral dengan batas-batas yang bersesuian dengan posisi daerah, dan selanjutnya menjelaskan langkah-langkah menghitung luas daerah menggunakan integral tentu.

Abstract

This research explores the development of students' critical thinking in mathematics learning through a longitudinal study approach. With a focus on problem solving, creative thinking, and conceptual understanding, this study aims to understand how students develop critical thinking skills over time. A longitudinal research method was used with 100 students from two secondary schools in Medan city as participants. Results showed significant improvements in students' critical thinking scores from the beginning to the end of the semester, with teacher training interventions and differences between schools making significant contributions. The implication of this study is the importance of innovative learning approaches and support for teachers in improving students' critical thinking skills in the context of mathematics learning

Abstract

This collaborative study explores cross-cultural pedagogical perspectives in childhood education through partnerships with scholars from India. This research aims to explore how cultural factors influence teaching methodology, curriculum design, classroom management techniques, and assessment strategies in early childhood education settings. This research involved 15 informants, including education experts, educators, and practitioners from various cultural backgrounds in India, using qualitative research methods such as in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis. The results of this study underscore the importance of cultural sensitivity and inclusivity in designing effective pedagogical strategies, as well as the importance of collaborative efforts in fostering cross-cultural understanding and knowledge exchange. This study provides valuable insights and practical recommendations for educators, policymakers, and curriculum developers seeking to create culturally responsive and inclusive learning environments for young learner world.wide.

Abstract

Anak dengan disabilitas spektrum autis perlu mendapatkan waktu yang lebih di rumah untuk dapat membiasakan belajar mandiri. Pembisaan ini tentu saja memerlukanperan penting orang tua dalam pelaksanaanya. Keluarga dengan kondisi anak yang mengalami spektru autis memrlukan pendampingan yang tepat untuk dapat menjadikan orangtua berwawasan dan siap mendapingi anak belajar mandiri di rumah. Perlu diberikan pendamapingan bagi anak dan khususnya orang tua dalam kemampuan belajar mandiri. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara serta pembelajaran online dan offline. Metode ini sangat penting dilakukan untuk denganmneyesuaikan berdasarkan hasil identifikasi bahwa sekolah menerapkan pembelajaran online dalampemberian tugas. Dalam pendampingan belajar mandiri pada anak spektrum autis untuk materi matematika aljabar menggunakan media bantu untuk pembelajaran yaitu video interaktif yang khusus bagi anak spektrum autis. Media pembelajaran khusu bagi anak spektrum autis memerlukan ketersedian yang banyak agar dapat meningkatkan minat dan ketertarikan dalam belajar sehingga anak dapat belajar mandiri dan menyelesaikan tugas yang dibrikan dnegan baik

Abstract

Background. Mathematics learning in elementary schools (SD) often requires innovative approaches to increase student engagement. With the development of technology, the use of social media as a learning tool is starting to become the focus of research to increase students' learning motivation in mathematics. Purpose. The research aims to measure how much influence the use of social media has in increasing students' motivation in learning mathematics in elementary school, as well as providing a concrete understanding of the relationship between social media and motivation to learn mathematics. Method. A quantitative approach using a survey model is used to examine the impact of social media on student motivation. Questionnaires were distributed to elementary school teachers and mathematics education students via Google Form and WhatsApp (WA) groups. Research ethical principles were upheld, and data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's qualitative data analysis techniques. Results. The majority of respondents gave a positive view of the influence of social media in mathematics learning. However, there are a small number who feel that social media can interfere with studying concentration. The integration of social media needs to be considered wisely to minimize risks and maximize its benefits in mathematics learning. Conclusion. The research results show that social media has great potential in increasing students' motivation in learning mathematics in elementary school. However, its use needs to be managed wisely and responsive to student needs and preferences. Social media integration can be an interesting and effective learning alternative in the context of mathematics learning at school.

Abstract

The use of instructional media is expected to increase student motivation and interest in learning. One medium that can provide motivation and fun for students and teachers is the quizizz paper mode. The process of evaluation or assessment using quizizz paper mode media is a medium that is close to the development of information technology. The use of cellphones is directed towards media support for the rest, making the evaluation media with the quizizz paper mode very interesting. It is very interesting to study about improving learning outcomes with quizizz paper mode in learning with RME for students. With this type of qualitative research using pre-test and post-test instruments. The instrument was validated by experts with valid results. While the teacher observed the implementation of RME learning with the results that all steps could be carried out. The results of the research are that it can increase student learning outcomes to 86% of the remaining completion. So an increase of 50% of the results at the beginning of learning. The application of the quizizz paper mode can be continued by adding validation to the teacher's teaching documents.

Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL) that focuses on projects has not used much media to help the learning process. Learning media helps understanding during the learning process. Project Based Learning (PjBL) in addition to the project as a medium can be added to other learning media to improve learning outcomes and student activity. The purpose of this study is to describe the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning process with the help of linet comic media (literacy, numeracy, and ethnomathematics) on the Pythagorean theorem. Qualitative research and descriptive approaches are used in helping to describe the results of the study. Teacher observation sheet instruments and student activities were used in data collection. The documentation method was also used to obtain project results through project reports. The conclusion that can be drawn is that project-based Based Learning (PjBL) learning with the help of using linet comic media can be concluded to be implemented well because all learning steps have been implemented. Student activity during the learning process is in the active category. Linet comics can provide an initial illustration of understanding the concept of the Phytagoras theorem applied in the building of places of worship. Recommendations are given with the expansion of material on comic media developed into digital comic media (e-comics) that are illustrative and interactive so that comic students actively learn.
