Abstract

This study, an analysis of the construction of the c-hook holder will be carried out with ASTM A36 material, to determine the strength of the c-hook holder structure. The analysis process uses the FEM (Finite Element Methods) approach using FEM-based software. The validity of the simulation results is carried out on the value of the results of the von misses stress and deflection. Validation of the simulation results is done by manual calculations. From the results of the analysis, it is known that the stress that occurs at a predetermined load using ASTM A36 material is 180 MPa. The results of the analysis of the deflection that occurs in ASTM A36 material is 0.39 mm. From the results of the safety factor analysis, the safety factor value was 1.3. From the results of the analysis, the stress, deflection, and safety factor using the material are still below the predetermined limits, so that the c-hook holder construction can be said to be safe. Based on the results of the design and analysis that has been done, it can be concluded that the c-hook holder with ASTM A36 material can be used and has high security.

Abstract

In the execution of Rapid Prototyping or modeling, almost all industries or companies rely on the usefulness of this 3D Printer machine. Of course, by making a prototype model case that has large dimensions, widths or volumes, the new engine users can redistribute the modeling images to bedivided into several parts or segments. This is done using an assembly technique with several prototype models that have been made, the time needed is long enough to redraw and print part models that will be assembled as we want. With these problems, the design and modification of frame construction are needed in accordance with the expansion of the work area on the axis of the 3D Printer FDM technology. It is expected that with the expansion of this area, the world of industry or manufacturing is able to apply its ideas in real and direct ways by utilizing 3D printing machines. The results of the design of this 3D printer machine are that it can move mechanically the x axis by 680 mm, the y axis by 565 mm, and the z axis by 635mm. This machine has a performance with a print area of the x-axis x 300 mm, y axis 300 mm and z axis 350 mm with the precision of the print specimen 0.1 mm - 0.2 mm.

Abstract

Abstract – Among shipyard repair companies there is a constraint, which is the condition of the workarea that requires a tool or equipment that can be used to accommodate ship access which can reachdifferent height of the deck from the ship caused by tides. Even though there is existing product, theconditions often a fixed stairs which can cause rapid corrosion due to direct contact with the weather.Therefore, based on the mentioned problem, it is necessary to design a new lifting tool that can avoidthose problems. In this research, the new lifting tool design is called an Accommodation Ladder andGangway Portable. This equipment are not fixed and can be adjusted in terms of height whichdirectly can solved the problem at the deck area. Several steps will be carried out which will includedata to be appointed, lifting equipment planning, strength analysis and also the assembly processesfor the prototype. In order to meet the strength of the staircase restraint, it is necessary to analyze thestrength of the structure using the finite element method. After analysis, the FEM stress value wassmaller than the permissible stress, which means that it's acceptable and safe with the ratio of 166.67N/mm2 ? 157.2 N/mm2. For the lifting system in the lifting process, it was planned to use 16x9 1fcWire Rope with a diameter of 10 mm using 2 pulleys with a diameter of 100 mm. This operation usesa manual winch and it can be portable by using the High Duty Wheel.
