Abstract

Pendederan ikan kerapu cantik umumnya dilakukan dengan pergantian air rutin setiap hari sehingga rentan terhadap penurunan kualitas air dan kinerja produksi. Pendederan ikan kerapu dengan sistem resirkulasi dan bioremediasi diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kinerja produksi melalui perbaikan kualitas air. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pendederan kerapu berbasis recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) dan bioremediasi untuk meningkatkan efisiensi akuabisnis. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 40 hari menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga perlakuan dan empat kali ulangan. Penelitian menggunakan tiga perlakuan sistem pemeliharaan, yaitu sistem konvensional tanpa resirkulasi dan tanpa bioremediasi (SK), sistem resirkulasi tanpa bioremediasi (RAS), serta sistem resirkulasi dan bioremediasi (RB). Ikan yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah benih kerapu cantik dengan panjang awal rata-rata 3,6±0,2 cm dengan padat tebar 500 ekor/m3. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kelangsungan hidup dan laju pertumbuhan panjang mutlak terbaik didapatkan pada sistem resirkulasi dengan bioremesiasi sebesar 94,8±0,37%, dan 0,1098±0,0029 cm/hari. Usaha pendederan ikan kerapu dengan sistem resirkulasi dan bioremediasi mampu meningkatkan keuntungan 41,76% dan 8,81% lebih efisien dari sistem pergantian air rutin.

Abstract

Catfish is a reigning top commodity both in the Indonesian market and overseas. Large-scale catfish farming companies have managed to communicate their products well, as evidenced by their effective online communication. However, that is not the case with small and medium-sized catfish farmers. Only some members of Asosiasi Pengusaha Patin/Catfish Indonesia (APCI) have successfully established online communication methods through websites and social media campaigns. This necessitates the rest of the members to be assisted in holding themselves up against tight competition especially in the global market through online communication training. This training program aims to raise awareness, knowledge, and understanding of the importance of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) dabbling in catfish farming and production to display their products online. The methods used in this activity involve formulating initial research, designing the training materials and consultations, preparing the training program, and evaluating the program. This training program is successful in raising the awareness and understanding of the members of APCI and will be useful in further stages of implementation.

Abstract

Nursery needs to be developed to strengthen the grouper as a superior commodity for the Seribu Islands Administrative District, Jakarta. This effort is carried out through the development of human resources (HR) and appropriate technology (AT), and hoped that the grouper nursery will become a new business unit in this district, where most of the area is sea. This activity aims to develop HR and AT for grouper nursery through training, piloting, and mentoring. This activity was carried out to 23 community members who are members of the three fish farmer groups. The training materials including the technical and management aspects of the grouper nursery. The piloting and mentoring of grouper nursery were carried out in parallel with the development of AT in the form of the application of garlic-meniran flour, and were carried out at the Sea Farming Center of PKSPL-IPB, Seribu Islands. The piloting includes preparing of cages, stocking of seeds, feeding, water quality and fish health management, sampling, harvesting, and post-harvest handling. The mentoring is carried out by serving participant visits to the center, interviews and meetings. After the training there was an increase in knowledge and skills of the participants, as well as the emergence of motivation to start a grouper nursery business. During the piloting and mentoring, the involvement and enthusiasm of the participants was relatively high and various aspects were discussed. The application of meniran-garlic flour in feeding on grouper nurseries can improve the feed conversion ratio, so that feed costs are more efficient. One of the participants has tried to run humpback grouper fish farming independently, and made a profit after two months of rearing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengidentifikasi 6 varietas ikan mas menggunakan 8 parameter input yang meliputi karakteristik morfologi dan tingkah laku. Pembagian data latih dan data uji dilakukan menggunakan metode k-fold cross validation. Variabel yang bersifat nominal diolah menggunakan jarak nominal, sedangkan variabel numerik dan ordinal diolah dengan menggunakan jarak Euclid. Sebelum menghitung jarak Euclid, metode normalisasi min-max diterapkan pada variabel numerik dan ordinal. Hasil perhitungan jarak Euclid dan jarak nominal digabung dengan menggunakan rumus agregat. Metode klasifikasi yang digunakan untuk identifikasi ialah metode k-nearest neighbour (KNN). Akurasi rata-rata terbaik untuk percobaan tanpa normalisasi ialah 94.58% dan untuk percobaan dengan normalisasi ialah 98.54% saat k = 3. Abstract

Kelompok Sea Farming merupakan sebuah kelompok masyarakat yang menerapkan kegiatan marikultur. Kelompok Sea Farming sangat membutuhkan sistem yang dapat memantau lingkungan laut. Variabel lingkungan laut yang mereka butuhkan ialah suhu dan kelembaban udara, suhu air laut dan kadar oksigen terlarut. Pemantau lingkungan laut memiliki tugas untuk menentukan waktu pencucian ikan berdasarkan perubahan suhu, kelembaban udara, suhu air, dan kadar oksigen terlarut. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk merancang dan membangun arsitektur internet of things (IoT) menggunakan protokol the message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) untuk memantau lingkungan laut pada keramba dengan menggunakan sensor yang terhubung dengan internet dan ditampilkan pada aplikasi secara waktu nyata. Sistem yang dibuat diharapkan dapat membantu nelayan dalam memantau dan menyimpan data dari perubahan lingkungan laut serta mendukung pengembangan aplikasi Marikultur Cerdas Kepulauan Seribu (K1000). Hasil Penelitian ini telah berhasil dalam merancang dan membangun sistem pemantauan lingkungan laut dengan arsitektur IoT, mulai dari pengambilan data dari sensor hingga pengiriman data masuk ke basis data dan menampilkannya sebagai grafik. Selain itu, keseluruhan pengujian kunci dan kebijakan IoT menunjukkan komunikasi data IoT menggunakan layanan AWS terjamin keamanannya. Dengan delay 0.005 detik, paket loss 0%, dan overhead sebesar 36.8%. Kata Kunci: internet of things, marikultur, MQTT, pemantauan, pencucian ikan.

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine water quality conditions and the carrying capacity of Holtekamp coastal, to identify the aquaculture activities that contribute waste on coastal and impact of aquaculture waste load. Water and plankton samples were collected from fish ponds (tambak), Kali Buaya channel and sea. Questionnaires were administered to 25 farmers. Results of water quality analyses showed that Holtekamp coastal water is characterized with higher concentration of BOD5 (Biological oxygen demand), N-total, COD (chemical oxygen demand) and TOM (total organic matter) 4.96 mg/l, 4.19 mg/l, 33.53 mg/l, and 22.18 mg/l, turbidity (7.02 NTU) and TSS (total suspended solids) 201.67 mg/l were higher in Kali Buaya chanal and PO4-P (2.08) in fishpond. The carrying capacity of coastal water is 10.452.915 m3 and a maximum of effluents 104.529 m3, respectively.Key Words: Ponds; Effluents; Water quality; Carrying capacity; Holtekamp

Abstract

Efforts to improve the production performance of clown loach in recirculate aquaculture system can be done by increasing stocking density and water discharge. This study aimed to analyze the effect of increasing stocking density and water discharge on production performance, stress response and water quality in order to obtain the best stocking density and water discharge to obtain maximum profit in a short time. A factorial completely randomized design with two factors, i.e. the stocking density of 1, 2, and 3 fish L-1 and the water discharge of 0,05; 0,10; 0,15 L s-1 was performed. The volume of water used in each aquarium was 48 L and using a ½ inch faucet stop to regulate the water discharge from the inlet pipe. Clown fish fed Tubifex sp. with a feeding frequency of two times a day according to the treatment for 60 days. The result indicates that there was no interaction between the two factors on production performance, payback period, and R/C ratio. Stocking density has a significant effect on specific growth rate, absolute growth rate of individual weight, feeding consumption rate and R/C ratio of clown loach. Stocking density and water discharge had an interaction on the visual color of pectoral and caudal fins of clown loach. Different stocking densities with the combination of water discharge in this study resulted that the water quality were within tolerable range for clown loach so that they did not experience stress, as well as high production and business performance. It is recommended to intensify clown loach with a stocking density of 3 fish L-1 and 0,15 L s-1‑ of water discharge. Abstrak Upaya intensifikasi ikan botia melalui peningkatan padat tebar dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kinerja produksinya. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peningkatan padat tebar dan debit air terhadap kinerja produksi, respons stres dan kualitas air, guna mendapatkan padat tebar dan debit air terbaik sehingga diperoleh keuntungan maksimal dalam waktu yang singkat. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap faktorial dengan dua faktor, yaitu padat tebar 1, 2, dan 3 ekor L-1 serta debit air 005; 0,10; dan 0,15 L s-1. Volume air yang digunakan pada masing-masing akuarium sebanyak 48 L dan menggunakan stop keran ½ inci untuk mengatur debit air pada pipa inlet. Pakan Tubifex sp. diberikan sebanyak dua kali sehari sesuai dengan perlakuan selama pemeliharaan 60 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat interaksi antara faktor perlakuan padat tebar dan debit air terhadap seluruh parameter kinerja produksi, payback period, dan R/C ratio. Faktor perlakuan padat tebar berpengaruh nyata terhadap laju pertumbuhan bobot spesifik, laju pertumbuhan mutlak bobot individu, nisbah konversi pakan dan R/C ratio. Padat tebar dan debit memiliki interaksi terhadap warna visual sirip dada dan sirip ekor ikan botia. Kombinasi padat tebar dan debit air berbeda dalam penelitian ini menghasilkan kualitas air yang dapat ditoleransi ikan botia sehingga tidak mengalami stres dan meningkatkan kinerja produksi serta analisis usaha. Berdasarkan penelitian, direkomendasikan untuk melakukan upaya intensifikasi ikan botia dengan padat tebar 3 ekor L-1 dan debit air 0,15 L s-1.

The system that can apply in freshwater on land, brackish water and sea waters, including suboptimal land area, is predicted will supprass the production of capture fisheries in providing fish for the community. In line with the development of industry 4.0, aquaculture began and is developing an instrumentation, integration and automation strategy that leads to smart farming, both on-farm and off-farm levels, as aquaculture 4.0. At the on-farm level, aquaculture 4.0 can apply to the entire production process since site selection, pond or cage construction and preparation, seed stocking, feeding, water quality management, biomass monitoring, harvesting and postharvest handling, and integrating them with off-farm levels such as marketing, processing, financing, develompement and so on. On a broader scope can be created integration between aquaculture with agriculture and animal husbandry as integrated agriculture. This paper discusses the concept, implementation and future development of aquaculture 4.0 in responding to the challenges of the times that is increasing productivity and production efficiency as well as market demand suitability and competitiveness, in order to improve the welfare of aquaculture actors and the community.Keywords: aquaculture,efficiency, production, productivity

Abstract

Gonggong adalah sejenis siput laut yang merupakan makanan laut (seafood) favorit dan ikon Kota Tanjungpinang, ibukota Provinsi Kepulauan Riau (Kepri). Gonggong mengandung protein tinggi, yaitu sekitar 46,65%. Tidak ada laporan tentang produksi budidaya dan upaya konservasi gonggong. Teknologi produksi benih buatan gonggong belum berkembang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi pemberian kombinasi hormon LHRH-a dan antidopamin untuk menginduksi proses pemijahan. Evaluasi pemberian hormon LHRH-a dan antidopamin pada pemijahan siput gonggong dilakukan dengan empat dosis: 0,5 ìLgι bobot badan lunak (BB) (P1); 0,7 ìLgι BB; dan 0,9 ìLgι BB (P2); dan tanpa suntikan (TS). Siput gonggong pascasuntikan dipelihara di akuarium selama 14 hari. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) kombinasi hormon LHRH-a dan antidopamin mampu merangsang pemijahan gonggong. Dosis rendah hormon LHRH-a dan antidopamin (P-1) menghasilkan induk betina yang memijah paling banyak, yaitu 34,48%; lebih tinggi dari P-2 (27,59%), P-3 (20,69%); dan TS (17,24%); (2) jumlah telur yang dikeluarkan oleh induk betina berbeda secara signifikan antar perlakuan (P<0,05). Jumlah telur yang dikeluarkan oleh masing-masing induk berkisar antara 10.874-63.489 butir/ekor dengan rata-rata 39.347 ± 16.667 butir/ekor.The gonggong is a species of sea conch which is a favourite seafood and an icon of Tanjungpinang City, capital of Kepulauan Riau (Kepri) Province. Gonggong contains high protein, about 46.65%. There were no reports on aquaculture production and conservation effort of gonggong. The technology on artificial seed production of gonggong has not yet developed. The aim of this study was to evaluate the administration of LHRH-a hormone and anti-dopamine to induce the spawning process. Evaluation of the administration of LHRH-a hormone and anti-dopamine on the gonggong conch’s spawning was carried out with four doses: 0.5 ìLgι soft body weight (BW) (P-1), 0.7 ìLgι BW; and 0.9 ìLgι BW (P-2); and without injections (TS). The gonggong conchs after injection were reared in aquarium for 14 days. The results showed that (1) a combination of LHRH-a hormone and anti-dopamine was able to stimulate gonggong spawning. The lower dose of LHRH-a hormone and anti-dopamine (P-1) produced the highest number of spawned female broodstock, which was 34.48%, higher than P-2 (27.59%), P-3 (20.69%), and TS (17.24%); (2) the number of eggs released by female broodstock was significantly different among the treatments (P<0.05). The number of eggs released by each female broodstock ranges between 10,874-63,489 grains/ind. with an average of 39,347±16,667 grains/ind.

Abstract

Fase larva pada siput gonggong sebagaimana pada biota akuatik lain adalah fase yang peka dan rawan kematian. Penyerapan kuning telur untuk pembentukan organ dalam terjadi pada fase ini. Suhu air memengaruhi perkembangan embrionik dan metabolisme dalam tubuh biota. Informasi tentang pengaruh suhu inkubasi terhadap embriogenesis dan perkembangan larva siput gonggong masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan pengaruh suhu berbeda terhadap embriogenesis dan perkembangan larva siput gonggong. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan tiga perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Tiga perlakuan perbedaan suhu yang diberikan yaitu 27°C, 29°C, dan 31°C. Sampel telur yang digunakan berasal dari hasil pemijahan semibuatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inkubasi pada suhu air 31°C memberikan stimulasi tercepat pada embriogenesis dan perkembangan larva siput gonggong daripada perlakuan lainnya. Larva siput gonggong menetas dan berenang bebas pada jam ke-94 pasca-inkubasi. Penelitian dengan perlakuan yang sama perlu dilanjutkan untuk dapat menghasilkan benih siput gonggong.Similar to most of the other aquatic biota, the larval phase of gonggong conch is considered a sensitive and death-prone life stage. The absorption of egg yolk to form the internal organs occurs in this phase. Certain external factors, particularly water temperature, play a significant influence on the embryonic development and metabolic processes of gonggong conch larvae. However, the extent of the effects of incubation temperature on the embryogenesis and larval development of gonggong conch has not been determined or thoroughly studied. This study aimed to determine the effects of different temperatures on the embryogenesis and larval development of gonggong conch. The experiment used a completely randomized design with three treatments and two replicates. The temperature treatments were 27°C, 29°C, and 31°C. The egg samples used were collected from the semi-artificial spawnings of gonggong conch. The results showed that the egg incubation using the water temperature of 31°C provided the fastest stimulation in the embryogenesis and development of gonggong conch larvae than the other treatments. Gonggong conch larvae hatched and swam freely in the 94th hours post-incubation. Research with the same treatment needs to be continued to be able to produce gonggong conch seeds.
