Abstract

This article explains the dynamics of motivation in education with an emphasis on contemporary learning theories. Motivation is identified as the main psychological factor that influences the learning process. This article also discusses contemporary educational theories, such as constructivism, connectivism, self-determination theory (SDT), and social cognitive theory. This research uses a literature study methodology to analyze concepts and determine their implications for student motivation in an educational context. Research findings show that SDT theory prioritizes autonomy, social competence, and interpersonal relationships as key components for increasing student motivation. In education, Social Cognitive Theory emphasizes observation and modelling, while Constructivism advocates active learning and the relevance of material to students' daily lives. Especially in the digital era, connectivism emphasizes the importance of information networks and collaboration in education. Integrating key aspects of these theories can provide a foundation for responsive and holistic learning strategies, creating learning environments that are stimulating, relevant, and motivating for students across the educational spectrum.

Abstract

Constructivism is a psychology and philosophical perspective that argue that individuals form or construct much of their learning and understanding. In recent years, constructivism theory has increasingly been applied in the learning process. A number ofeducation experts argue that rather than talking about how knowledge is obtained, it is more important to discuss how that knowledge is built. Even though there are several experts who have different opinions on the factors that influence learning and cognitive processes in students, their theoretical perspectives agree in defining constructivism theory. On the one hand, teachers are responsible for the learning process in the classroom. As a teacher, the teachers is tasked with designing learning programs,implementing and conducting assessments. Note only that, teachers must also be capable to create, build, discuss, collaborate andcarry out experiments in a learning activity. Therefore, this article will discuss constructivism theory and its applications in thelearning process using constructivist principles.

Abstract

This study explores the effectiveness of creative learning based on children's song models in developing children's character. Using a literature review approach, this research analyzes the literature on creative learning and character development in children. Findings from the literature review indicate that creative learning based on children's song models has great potential in shaping positive character traits in children. Through this model, children can actively engage in enjoyable learning experiences while internalizing character values embedded in song lyrics. The use of music in learning also enhances children's motivation, creativity, and communication skills. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding and developing innovative teaching methods for children's character development. The importance of fostering good character in children is widely recognized, and this approach based on children's song models offers an effective strategy to achieve this goal. By integrating music and creativity into the learning process, it is hoped that the younger generation can become intellectually sharp and possess positive personalities in their daily lives.

Abstract

This study is aimed at discussing the development result of thematic cultural art subject’s learning material based on science for primary school (2013 curriculum). This study is expected to inspire teacher to develop learning material that may explore artworks exist in our living environment (based on the context of children’s environment). This study applies steps in developmental research collaboration by Borg Gall (1989) and Puslitjaknov (2008) to create the product. The development stages comprise observation in several primary schools in Surabaya, Gresik, and Sidoarjo that has implemented 2013 curriculum that is followed up by stages of development. Furthermore, prototype of cultural and art thematic learning material development results are verified by learning material experts, material expert, primary school teacher, and revised afterwards. The result of this research development is a set of teacher and student books. Science-based cultural art here means cultural art learning as the main medium to introduce local culture products (music, drawing, dance, and drama) by integrating mathematics, sciences, Bahasa Indonesia, and local language subjects. Cultural art products in the form of dance, music, drawing, dramas) will help children to understand a simple mathematical concept, such as: two-dimensional figure, geometry, comparing or estimating longer-shorter, smaller-bigger, or more-less.

Abstract

Rekoreografi adalah rancangan ulang dari sebuah tarian tanpa menghilangkan tarian yang terdahulu. Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi adalah sebuah tarian Garapan baru yang telah di rekoreografikan dan berada diluar lingkup keraton. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk serta rekoreografi dari tari Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi Karya Sunawan Di Sanggar Tari Ijo Gringsing Mojokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Objek yang dalam penelitian ini adalah Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Dan analisis data dilakukan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan simpulan. Validitas data menggunakan traingulasi sumber, triangulasi Teknik dan triangulasi waktu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tarian ini merupakan garap karya tari yang mengacu pada tari bedhaya yang ada di lingkup keraton. Namun, oleh koreografer Tari Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi ini digarapdan dikemas lagi agar gaya Jawa Timuran nya lebih menonjol dikarenakan tarian ini membahas sosok Raja Wanita pertama di Kerajaan Majapahit yaitu Tribuana TunggaDewi. Untuk proses penggarapan musik juga menggunakan gaya Jawa Timuran. Bedhaya Tribuana Rajadewi hanya ditarikan oleh 8 penari. 8 adalah wujud dari lambang Surya Majapahit.

Abstract

Tari Gambyong merupakan tarian Jawa Klasik yang berasal dari Surakarta yang digunakan sebagai tarian penyambut tamu. Seiring perkembangan zaman, tari gambyong juga mengalami perkembangan menjadi beberapa jenis tari gambyong yang penamaannya berdasarkan gending yang digunakan, salah satunya adalah tari Gambyong Mari Kangen yang menggunakan gending mari kangen dan pengembangannya dilakukan oleh Bimo Wijayanto. Penelitian ini dibuat untuk menjawab pertanyaan: 1) bagaimana pengembangan bentuk penyajian Tari Gambyong Mari Kangen Oleh Bimo Wijayanto di Kabupaten Tulungagung? 2) bagaimana tanggapan seniman tari daerah mengenai Tari Gambyong Mari Kangen? Dengan didukung oleh teori Pengembangan Edi Sedyawati dan teori Bentuk Pertunjukan Soedarsono yang dikombinasikan dengan teori Bentuk Penyajian Susetyo serta teori tanggapan Sardiman. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data yang diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi dari narasumber utama yaitu Bimo Wijayanto selaku koreografer yang mengembangkan tari Gambyong Mari Kangen di Kabupaten Tulungagung. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan yang dilakukan mencakup urutan penyajian yang dilakukan pengembangan terdapat pada urutan kedua yaitu beksan, gerak yang dipadukan dengan gerak kreasi, iringan ditambah dengan pola kendang tayub Tulungagung, waktu pertunjukan yang berdurasi singkat dan dipentaskan pada waktu pembukaan acara, tata rias korektif, tata busana sesuai kreativitas. Hasil penelitian berikutnya menunjukkan tanggapan positif dari beberapa seniman tari daerah mengenai eksistensi dari tari Gambyong Mari Kangen di Tulungagung, bahwa tarian ini masih sering ditampilkan dan diajarkan baik di sekolah maupun di sanggar.

Abstract

Lagu “Lekas Sembuh” tercipta dari inspirasi komposernya Eko Hardoyo (Eko Kasmo) yang meraskan cemas karena hasil panen petani di desanya turun akibat dari pandemi Covid-19. Harapan dan doa dituangkan di dalam lagu ini. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana bentuk lagu dan komposisi musik yang digunakan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengungkapkan bentuk lagu dan komposisi musik yang digunakan di dalam lagu “Lekas Sembuh”. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Teori analisis bentuk dan struktur lagu digunakan untuk mengupas permasalahan penelitian. Sumber data primer diperoleh melalui hasil wawancara, pengamatan audio dan vidio digital. Data sekunder diperoleh dari sumber buku, jurnal, dan internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan instrumen yang digunakan yaitu slenthem, peking, kempul, bonang barung, bonang penerus, saron, demung, rebab, keyboard, cak, cuk, gitar, saxophone. Komposisi musik banyak menggunakan pola ricikan gamelan yang diiringi oleh alat musik barat. Dari aspek musikal terdapat kaidah-kaidah yaitu jumlah birama, tanda sukat, progresi akor, dan pola ritme. Lagu ini menggunakan nada dasar Do=Bb dengan penggunaan dinamika tempo, memakai sukat 4/4 dan masuk ke dalam bentuk lagu tiga bagian yaitu A, B, C, C’ dan diawali dengan bagian intoduksi.

Abstract

In its management, schools need quality assurance as a benchmark for assessing the success or failure of educational institutions. One of the most important aspects that affect the quality of education is leadership and quality management. The research objectives are: (1) to describe how the principal's strategy in improving the academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (2) to describe how the principal's strategy is to improve the non-academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo. This study uses a qualitative descriptive. Collecting data using the method of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are: (1) the principal's strategy in improving the academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo is through the PPDB process carried out in 4 stages, supervising the learning process in order to know the achievements in the learning process, taking a good personal approach with all school stakeholders, excellent programs (Academic Skills) that can support students to continue to work and produce achievements. develop school planning as much as possible, analyze the challenges, obstacles and future opportunities that will be faced by SMAN 2 Sidoarjo (2) the principal's strategy in improving the non-academic quality of students at SMAN 2 Sidoarjo is a superior program of life skills in the form of learning to be able to survive in life , more productive and supported by existing programs in schools. Social Skill with the hope of being able to socialize in society. Develop school planning as much as possible, analyze the challenges, obstacles and future opportunities that will be faced by SMAN 2 Sidoarjo.

Abstract

Meningkatkan mutu pendidikan merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah untuk memenuhi tujuan negara yaitu mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa. Upaya peningkatan mutu tentunya tidak terlepas dari perencanaan pendidikan. Perencanaan pendidikan merupakan langkah krusial dalam upaya peningkatan mutu. Hal ini pulalah yang dilakukan di SD Labschool Unesa 2 Surabaya dalam upaya peningkatan mutu dengan menggunakan enam standar nasional pendidikan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan jenis deskriptif. Dan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara dan kajian dokumen. Dengan membandingkan rapor mutu tahun 2023 dan 2024, diketahui bahwa terdapat tiga standar nasional pendidikan yang mengalami penurunan dan tiga standar nasional pendidikan yang mengalami kenaikan. Dalam upaya meningkatkan mutu tiga standar nasional pendidikan yang mengalami penurunan, SD Labschool Unesa 2 Surabaya, melakukan perencanaan-perencanaan peningkatan mutu yang dikelompokkan sesuai dengan standar evaluasi pendidikan yang hendak ditingkatkan mutunya yaitu pada pilar karakter murid dan kualitas pembelajaran agar rapor pendidikan pada tahun 2025 mengalami peningkatan.

Abstract

At MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik, quality improvement planning is based on the school development plan. This study is being conducted at MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik. The emphasis of this research is on planning for increasing educational quality based on work programs included in MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik's school development plan for 2020/2021 and their relationship to eight national education standards. A document study was employed to obtain data for this investigation. MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik's school development plan for 2020/2021 is being examined. This study's data were reported utilizing a qualitative descriptive technique. The findings of this study include the quality improvement plans identified in the work program of MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik, which are divided into three time periods: short (annual), medium (four years), and long (eight years). Because such work programs were related to eight national education standards, not all national education standards were found in MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik's work program. Some national education criteria are not present in the MTs Ihyaul Ulum Gresik job program.
