Abstract

Teaching is an activity involving semiotic resources beyond verbal language. Therefore, more studies investigating what semiotic resources are employed and how they are utilized within EFL classroom settings are needed. This study sought to explore the types of semiotic resources employed by two EFL teachers in Indonesia and the roles of these semiotic resources in teaching activities. Through a qualitative case study, two EFL teachers in Bandung and Medan, Indonesia, were purposively selected. Data collection was through a semi-structured interview and document analysis. A six-phase of thematic analysis was employed to analyze the interview results, while a three-step of skimming, reading, and interpretation was used to analyze the documents. This study found that spoken language, pictures, videos, proxemics, gestures, head movements, gaze, and music were the semiotic resources used by both teachers in their teaching. The findings also demonstrated that these semiotic resources were used in the opening, delivering, and closing of the class, explaining learning content, performing interactions with students, checking the students' progress, managing classroom order, showing appreciation, and conducting evaluations. This study implies the crucial roles of all stakeholders in education to help EFL teachers in multimodal knowledge and practical strategy to create better teaching outcomes.

Abstract

Writing dozens of reports every semester in physics practicum is often a heavy burden for students, so a more efficient and innovative reporting method is needed to ease their tasks without reducing the quality of learning. This study analyzes the use of video in reporting physics practicum results to ease the burden on students in writing reports. Through videos, students can present information, explain concepts, and demonstrate the application of physics theories in a dynamic and interactive manner. Videos are expected to improve the quality of practicum reports, provide constructive feedback, and promote UM Metro's physics education program. This study used quantitative and descriptive qualitative methods with purposive sampling, involving 6th semester Physics Education students who took astronomy courses. Data were obtained from practicum video assessment rubrics, student response questionnaires, and in-depth interviews, analyzed through a 1-5 Likert scale. This study found that the Project-Based Learning model with video as a practicum report was effective in improving the self-learning of Physics Education students. The title of the video (97.27%) was most attractive, but improvement was needed in time management (55.00%) and simulation of results (67.27%).

Abstract

To effectively educate the future generation, instructors must keep up with the fast-paced global changes by being updated on advancements in science, technology, and educational trends. A very effective lecturer-teacher partnership program (KDS) that utilises lesson study can accomplish this objective. The primary objectives of the KDS are to foster educational innovation, facilitate academic research and publication, and actively involve educators and students in the field of education. The lesson study was carried out within the English Language Education Study Program, including two classes from the third semester of the Creative Writing Course, IIIA and IIIB. The program aims to cultivate and improve students’ social comportment and creative writing skills. Two iterations were carried out, and there was a noticeable augmentation in the students’ sociability from the first iteration to the second. Throughout Cycle 1, students exhibited tolerance and the ability to appreciate their peers’ perspectives. They enthusiastically participated and interacted during the group work. Their average achievement percentage was 67.47% and witnessed a remarkable increase of 85.14% in Cycle 2. The level of collaboration and unity in project completion rose from 57.61% in cycle 1 to 88.99% in cycle 2. The students’ receptiveness to the learning environment significantly increased from 52.09% in cycle 1 to 85.14% in cycle 2. The cognitive domain has significantly enhanced knowledge acquisition, particularly in students’ creative writing skills. The proportion of students in IIIA, exhibiting this proficiency increased from 37% in cycle 1 to 77% in cycle 2. In class IIIB, there was a significant 40% surge, as the percentage escalated from 43% to 83%. Thus, adopting lesson study allows students to improve their social behaviour and support their writing ability. Abstract

Money laundering poses a serious threat to the integrity of the financial system and the stability of society, prompting the need for effective handling from all parties involved. This research discusses the legal aspects of handling money laundering cases in Indonesia. Using a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach, this study analyses the existing legal framework, its implementation in law enforcement practice, and the challenges faced by law enforcement officials in handling money laundering cases. Data was collected through literature study and analysis of money laundering cases that have been decided by the court. The results show that although Law No. 8/2010 has provided a strong legal foundation, there are still challenges in its implementation including limited resources, inter-agency coordination, and the development of increasingly sophisticated money laundering methods. Based on these findings, this research presents policy recommendations to strengthen law enforcement in handling money laundering offences in Indonesia.

Abstract

The aim of carrying out this research is to determine the competency of 1st year class of Al-Qur'an Hadith teachers at MAN 1 North Bengkulu. To find out how to utilize and use e-learning by teachers in Al-Qur'an Hadith lessons in class the researcher in the thesis is qualitative. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. And the author's data analysis technique uses qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of the research show that the MAN 1 North Bengkulu school has used e-learning in teaching Al-Qur'an Hadith in 1st year class. The results of the research show that the use of e-learning at MAN 1 North Bengkulu has been running. Teachers have sufficient competence in using e-learning and the output is that students are increasingly enthusiastic in learning activities.

Abstract

The data collection technique used was aobservation, questionnaire, documentation. The population is 250 and the sample is 63 students. The data analysis techniques used is multiple linear regression, t test and F test. The results research are: the first there is an effect of family education on learning achievement Islamic religious education for class VII students at junior high school Muara Kati Tiang Pumpung Kepungut District, Musi Rawas Regency, tcount > t table (3.164 > 2.00) and a significance level (0.037 <0.05).Secondly there is an influence of character on the learning achievement of Islamic religious education for class VII students at junior high school SMP Negeri Muara Kati Tiang Pumpung Kepungut District Musi Rawas Regency, t count > t table(2.254>2.00) and a significance level (0.047 <0.05).Thirdly there is a motivational effect on the learning achievement of Islamic religious education for class VII students at junior high school Muara Kati Tiang Pumpung Kepungut District Musi Rawas Regency, tcount > t table (2.132 > 2.00) and a significance level (0.049 <0.05).The last there is an influence of family education, character, motivation on learning achievement of Islamic religious education for class VII students at junior high school Muara Kati Tiang Pumpung Kepungut District Musi Rawas Regency which is shown at Fcount > Ftable (1.240 > 3.15) and at a significant level 0.303 <0.05.

Abstract

Kampus mengajar merupakan wadah bagi mahasiswa untuk belajar di luar kampus selama kurang lebih satu semester untuk mengembangkan keterampilan kepemimpinan, kemampuan berkomunikasi, dan rasa tanggung jawab sosial. Mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 6 ini diberikan amanah untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa pada jenjang Sekolah Dasar,Sekolah Menengah Pertama,dan Sekolah menengah Kejuruan. Maka dari itu kami merancang program-program yang berkaitan dengan peningkatan literasi dan numerasi melalui media pembelajaran yang kreatif dan interaktif. Sekolah yang menjadi sasaran pelaksanaan program kampus mengajar angkatan 6 ini yaitu SMP Negeri 15 Kota Bengkulu. Adapun program kerja yang sudah dilaksanakan selama penugasan yaitu peningkatan literasi dan numerasi siswa,adaptasi teknologi,revitalisasi perpustakaan,menghidupkan lorong baca,apotik hidup dan sosialisasi karakter siswa. Setelah menjalankan masa penugasan kurang lebih 4 bulan terhitung sejak 14 Agustus 2023 hingga 5 desember 2023,mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 6 maupun pihak sekolah sama-sama terbantu dengan adanya program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) oleh Kemendikbud. Mahasiswa Kampus Mengajar Angkatan 6 tidak hanya mendapatkan pengetahuan akademis, tetapi juga mendalami nilai-nilai kepedulian sosial dan kemampuan untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan yang beragam. Pihak sekolah tentunya juga sangat terbantu dengan kehadiran mahasiswa,terutama dalam peningkatan literasi dan numerasi siswa,adaptasi teknologi,pelestarian lingkungan dan pengembangan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility, produce a design, and assess the practicality of using IT-based summative assessment in differentiated physics learning. The developed product consists of an IT-based summative assessment in Quizizz for questions and Google Forms for assessment rubrics (poster and video). The research adopts the ADDIE model. The valid user practicality response sheet has an average of 0.93 and a reliability coefficient of 80%. The student practicality response questionnaire results indicate an average of 88.06% with a convenient category. The summative assessment in the form of test items yields an average of 77.77, with 45% of students achieving this score. The summative assessment in the form of a poster yields an average of 82.86, with 35% of students achieving this score. In contrast, the innovative video summative assessment results in an average of 88.75, with 20% of students achieving this score.

Abstract

Mekanisme penanganan perkara adalah suatu rangkaian kerja untuk menyelesaikan sebuah masalah yang berhubungan dengan proses kerja untuk mengurangi kegagalan sehingga mencapai hasil yang maksimal. Dengan adanya mekanisme penanganan perkara akan mempermudah seseorang atau lembaga dalam menyelesaikan perkara yang dihadapi melalui proses hukum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan mekanisme penanganan perkara pidana di Kejaksaan Negeri Kota Cirebon, dengan fokus pada aspek-aspek kritis yang mempengaruhi kinerja dan hasil dari penanganan perkara tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan dua pendekatan utama dalam bidang hukum: pendekatan normatif untuk analisis teoritis dan pendekatan empiris dengan pengumpulan data primer. Data diperoleh dari narasumber diantaranya : Jaksa, Polisi, dan Penyidik PNS di Kota Cirebon. Metode pengumpulan data melibatkan studi kepustakaan dan lapangan, dengan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa penanganan perkara pidana di Kejaksaan Negeri Kota Cirebon melibatkan beberapa tahapan yang harus dilalui sesuai dengan ketentuan hukum yang berlaku. Tahapan-tahapan tersebut mencakup penyidikan, penyerahan tersangka dan barang bukti, penuntutan, pelimpahan perkara ke pengadilan negeri, putusan hakim, dan eksekusi jaksa penuntut umum (JPU). Penyidikan menjadi langkah awal yang penting untuk mengumpulkan bukti dan informasi terkait perkara pidana. Setelahnya, tersangka dan barang bukti diserahkan kepada kejaksaan untuk proses selanjutnya. Kejaksaan kemudian melakukan penuntutan berdasarkan bukti yang telah dikumpulkan. Setelah proses penuntutan, perkara akan dilimpahkan ke pengadilan negeri untuk persidangan. Putusan hakim menjadi titik penting, di mana tersangka dinyatakan bersalah atau tidak. Akhirnya, eksekusi dilakukan sesuai dengan putusan hakim oleh JPU. Proses ini mencerminkan pentingnya pengumpulan bukti, proses yang adil, dan penerapan putusan pengadilan dalam menegakkan hukum dan keadilan.

Abstract

Advertising is currently facing significant difficulties, whether people know the effect of the number of advertisements on advertising saturation. The public is presented with communication tools by the new era media. Anyone involved in advertising should be aware of this situation because the evolution of advertising is parallel to the new media movement. As a result, the expectations of the target market segment will be better met. A profession associated with a new style of advertising, driven by the appearance and popularity of social media, has responded to the challenges of today's new advertising style. utilizing social media as a new choice in communication strategies, such as Instagram social media which is a forum or place for building relationships, communicating with anyone and anywhere, showing pictures or short videos, expressing expressions using the available comments column, the function of Instagram social media is also a social media that builds a good image or picture in the process of marketing products or services offered by entrepreneurs or business people
