Abstract

This study aims to explore the role of the principal in shaping students' Islamic character through parental empowerment at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Purbalingga. The research method used is a qualitative case study with a descriptive approach, involving in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the principal has successfully initiated programs such as Majelis Ta'lim, Islamic parenting, and congregational prayer policies as a form of collaboration with parents. Active parental involvement in these programs has been shown to improve students' discipline, obedience to worship, and Islamic character. The conclusion of this study confirms that synergy between schools and families, driven by the leadership of the principal, is a key factor in the success of Islamic character education. This study also recommends the development of a parent empowerment model based on Islamic values ​​that can be adopted more widely by similar schools.  Keywords: Principal, Islamic Character, School-Family Collaboration, Parent Empowerment, Islamic Education

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam strategi pemasaran, termasuk pada institusi pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pemasaran digital dalam meningkatkan branding sekolah di SDIT Bina Insani Tanjungpandan Belitung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SDIT Bina Insani mengimplementasikan pemasaran digital melalui berbagai platform seperti website, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, dan YouTube untuk memperkuat citra sekolah. Strategi ini dilakukan dengan memperhatikan dimensi traffic, conversion, dan engagement, serta konten yang menonjolkan keunggulan sekolah berbasis nilai-nilai Islam. Faktor-faktor penentu keberhasilan strategi ini meliputi pemilihan platform yang tepat, kualitas konten, penguatan identitas institusi, serta kompetensi tim digital marketing sekolah. Selain itu, strategi pemasaran digital juga berdampak pada persepsi masyarakat terhadap sekolah, meningkatkan kepercayaan, memperkuat citra modern, serta meningkatkan kepuasan orang tua terhadap layanan pendidikan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan optimalisasi media sosial dan website sekolah, peningkatan pelatihan SDM digital, serta eksplorasi teknologi inovatif seperti AI dan data analytics untuk memperkuat branding institusi pendidikan ke depan.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a digital textbook for Islamic Religious Education (PAI) based on integrative science that is valid, practical, and effective in enhancing the creative thinking skills of students at SMPIT Al-Marjan Nusa Indah, Bengkulu City. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The data sources in this study consisted of both qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were obtained from expert reviews and suggestions provided by media experts, content experts, PAI teachers, and students. Meanwhile, quantitative data were derived from expert validation assessments and student response questionnaires. The results of this research and development indicate the following: (1) The development of the digital Islamic Religious Education textbook was deemed valid by the validators, as evidenced by the validation scores from the content expert (91.4%), media expert (94.2%), language expert (90%), and subject teacher expert (93%), all of which fall under the "highly valid" category. (2) The practicality test of the integrative science-based digital textbook, based on student responses, yielded an average score of 89%, indicating that the textbook is highly practical. (3) The effectiveness test was conducted through pretest and posttest comparisons between control and experimental groups. The data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and independent t-tests, the results of which confirmed the high effectiveness of the integrative science-based digital textbook. Furthermore, the improvement in students’ creative thinking skills was supported by student response questionnaires, which showed a score of 86.43, indicating a significant enhancement in creative thinking skills.

Abstract

Mastering vocabulary is a significant challenge for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners in Indonesia. Students often face difficulties in mastering vocabulary due to low engagement and the limitations of traditional teaching methods. This study addresses the problem by examining the use of Augmented Reality (AR) in vocabulary instruction. A true-experimental design was employed, involving two groups: an experimental group taught using AR media and a control group taught through traditional methods. A total of 64 students participated in this study. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed using descriptive statistics, normality and homogeneity tests, paired sample t-tests, and N-Gain analysis. The findings showed that the average post-test score of the experimental group (89.00) was higher than that of the control group (78.56). The N-Gain score in the experimental group (63.28%) also indicated a higher level of improvement compared to the control group (5.66%). The results of the t-test analysis showed a significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05), which means that there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups. These findings suggest that Augmented Reality is an effective and engaging tool for improving students’ vocabulary mastery in English learning. The study recommends incorporating AR technology into vocabulary instruction to enhance student engagement and learning outcomes.

Abstract

The rapid integration of digital technologies into education highlights the critical importance of digital literacy in developing self-regulated learning (SRL), particularly among physics education students. This study aims to investigate the influence of digital literacy on SRL by (1) assessing the digital literacy levels of physics students, (2) examining their SRL profiles, (3) analyzing the predictive power of digital literacy on SRL, and (4) identifying which digital literacy indicators significantly impact different SRL dimensions. A quantitative, cross-sectional approach was employed with 28 undergraduate students using validated instruments: the Digital Literacy Scale and the Online Self-Regulated Learning Questionnaire. The results revealed high digital literacy levels, especially in media utilization (M = 4.17), but lower performance in evaluating digital information (M = 3.96). SRL was strongest in planning (M = 3.3) and monitoring-evaluation (M = 3.2), while autonomy (M = 2.5) and motivation-discipline (M = 2.8) were less developed. Regression analyses confirmed digital literacy as a significant predictor of SRL (β = 0.50; p = 0.016), explaining 58.9% of the variance. Among the digital literacy indicators, digital technology skills emerged as the most influential factor across all SRL dimensions. Furthermore, gender was found to moderate the relationship, with a stronger effect observed in female students. This study contributes to physics education by demonstrating the importance of integrating digital literacy training, particularly in technology skills and information evaluation, into curriculum design to support students' independent learning capabilities in digital learning environments.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine whether or not the listening materials included in the English textbooks used by students in the tenth grade at SMAN 04 Bengkulu City match the requirements outlined in the curriculum that was implemented in 2013. This research is extremely important to the academic world since it will make it much easier for both students and teachers to select a good textbook. A content analysis was utilized in the current investigation. During the data collection process, the researchers utilized two different analysis matrices. The first matrix of analysis consisted of making connections between the listening materials in the textbook and the academic program for 2013. The second analysis matrix presents the percentage score that the English textbook was given in accordance with the standards of the 2013 curriculum. The first matrix illustrates, in accordance with the conclusions of the analysis of the data, that the listening materials contained within the English textbook is compatible with the curricular plan for 2013. In the second matrix, English textbooks are categorized as "good," much like in the first matrix. As a direct result of this, the textbooks published by Private Publications and Erlangga have an average percentage of 92%  (Good). In conclusion, the textbooks published by Private Publications/English Erlangga are regarded as "excellent" resources for use in education, both by students and by teachers.

Abstract

This study investigates how Problem-Based Learning (PBL) can be applied to develop more effective English speaking and writing materials for students in Islamic higher education in Indonesia. Current teaching resources are often generic and heavily focused on grammar, offering little relevance to students’ academic disciplines or religious backgrounds. As a result, learners struggle to connect what they study in the classroom with their real-life academic and spiritual contexts. Drawing on qualitative data from two institutions (UIN Fatmawati Sukarno Bengkulu and IAIN Curup), this research includes classroom observations, document analysis, and interviews with lecturers and department heads. The findings reveal that English materials in these programs often lack contextual relevance, fail to incorporate Islamic values, and are not supported by coherent curriculum planning. Additionally, many lecturers lack formal training in English for Specific Purposes (ESP), particularly in faith-based education. The study highlights the potential of a PBL approach, when thoughtfully adapted, to improve student engagement, foster communicative competence, and bridge the gap between English instruction and students’ academic and spiritual needs. Importantly, this study represents the initial Analysis phase of the ADDIE instructional design framework, laying the groundwork for future development, implementation, and evaluation of PBL-based English materials tailored to Islamic higher education.

Abstract

Vocabulary is one of the fundamental aspects of English learning and plays a crucial role in supporting students’ ability to communicate effectively. However, many students still face challenges in mastering vocabulary, especially when learning relies only on conventional methods. Gamification, such as the use of Kahoot, provides an alternative strategy that combines learning with interactive and engaging activities. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of gamification with Kahoot on the vocabulary mastery of sixth-grade students at SDN 06 Sungai Rumbai. A quantitative approach was applied using a one-group pretest-posttest design with 29 participants. The treatment was conducted through interactive classroom sessions where students practiced vocabulary using Kahoot games. The research instrument consisted of 50 multiple-choice items, of which 24 were validated and used in the pretest and posttest. Results showed an increase in average scores from the pretest to the posttest, with a significance value of less than 0.05, indicating a significant effect. It can be concluded that the use of Kahoot as a gamified learning platform effectively improves students’ vocabulary mastery and can serve as an innovative medium in English language teaching, particularly for young learners.

Abstract

The independent curriculum is an improved curriculum from the emergency curriculum implemented during the Covid 19 pandemic. This curriculum replaces the 2013 curriculum with several improvements to overcome deficiencies and the effects of learning loss. The principle of developing an independent curriculum refers to equal distribution of access and quality of education to provide equitable education. Therefore, it is necessary to study the relevance of policy in implementing independent policies towards equitable education.  The aim of this research is to analyze the policies and policies of the independent curriculum in basic education and their relationship to the concept of equitable education. The method used in this research is a qualitative method, using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. In this method, article screening is done with the help of the Publish or Perish application. The results of the research are, it was found that the policies in the independent learning curriculum at the basic education level, viewed from the mandate of the National Education System Law and the perspective of critical pedagogy theory, have relevance and enthusiasm for realizing equitable education, for example inclusive education policies, learning Differentiation, digitalization of education, but many policies are still fragmented, causing a lack of consistency in realizing equitable education. Kurikulum merdeka merupakan penyempurnaan dari kurikulum darurat yang diberlakukan selama pandemi Covid 19, kurikulum ini menggantikan kurikulum 2013 dengan beberapa penyempurnaan untuk mengatasi kekurangan dan efek learning loss. Prinsip pengembangan kurikulum merdeka merujuk pada pemerataan akses dan mutu pendidikan agar dapat menghadirkan pendidikan berkeadilan. Oleh karena itu perlu dikaji relevansi kebijakan dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka terhadap pendidikan berkeadilan.  Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebijakan dan penerapan kurikulum merdeka di pendidikan dasar dan keterkaitannya dengan konsep pendidikan berkeadilan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif, menggunakan pendekatan Systematic Literatur Review (SLR). Dalam metode ini Screening artikel di lakukan dengan berbantukan aplikasi Publish or Perish. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kebijakan-kebijakan dalam kurikulum merdeka belajar di tingkat pendidikan dasar,  ditinjau dari amanat Undang-Undang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional dan perspektif teori pedagogi kritis, memiliki relevansi dan semangat untuk mewujudkan pendidikan berkeadilan, misalnya kebijakan pendidikan inklusif, pembelajaran berdefferensiasi, digitalisasi pendidikan, akan tetapi kebijakan-kebijakan masih banyak yang terfragmentasi sehingga menyebabkan kurang konsisten dalam mewujudkan pendidikan berkeadilan.

Abstract

Kabupaten Lampung Timur memiliki visi dan misi Rakyat Lampung Timur Berjaya dengan misi salah satunya Meningkatkan Program Petani Berjaya. luas wilayah Kabupaten Lampung Timur 5.325.03 km2 dan jumlah penduduk Lampung Timur 1.127.946 jiwa. Terdiri dari 12 kecamatan definitive dan 11 kecamatan pembantu dan 232 desa. Pemanfaatan lahan untuk ditanami tanaman kebutuhan keluarga sudah dilakukan masyarakat sejak lama dan terus berlangsung hingga sekarang namun belum dirancang dengan baik serta sistematis pengembangannya terutama dalam menjaga kelestarian sumberdaya. Dewasa ini kerja keras di pedesaan dan perkotaan membuahkan hasil dan prestasinya diakui oleh masyarakat dan pemerintah. Hal ini karena adanya motivasi diri, peluang mengembangkan diri dan dukungan pihak luar. Selanjutnya, tujuannya adalah untuk meningkat pengetahuan dan kemandirian KWT guna mendukung pembangunan berkelanjutan di desa tersebut.Adapun metode kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan masyarakat melalui kegiatan penyuluhan tentang teknik budidaya organic, teknik penanganan pasca panen. Pelatihan dipandu oleh narasumber (tenaga ahli) serta dibantu dengan seperangkat alat bantu untuk melakukan praktik secara langsung. Hasil kegiatan penyuluhan dan pelatihan tentang teknik budidaya organic juga menunjukkan adanya antuasiasme para kelompok wanita tani fajar ayu dan kelompok tani podo rukun menanam di lahan pekartanagn dengan berbagai jenis tanaman sayuran yang semula belum ditanami sayuran. Sekarang sudah berkembang jenis sayuran kangkung, tomat, pare, gambas, cabai, sawi, bayam, jagung. Bahkan ada bunga penjebak hama yakni bunga refugia. Berdasarkan pada hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan, dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan kelompok wanita tani dan kelompok tani membrikan manfaat berupa peningkatan pengetahuan dan kapasitas
