Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk Mendeskripsikan Nilai-Nilai Pendidikan Karakter dalam Parno Adat Pernikahan dan Persepsi Masyarakat Tigo Luhah Semurup Kerinci. Jenis penelitian yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode observasi dan wawancara dengan narasumber. Dan pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu pendekatan sosiologi sastra. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan dan teori yang diterapkan dapat dikatakan dalam Parno adat pernikahan Tigo Luhah Semurup terdapat delapan nilai pendidikan karakter dari jumlah semuanya ada delapan belas sesuai yang dikemukakan pada teori. Selain itu keberadaan Parno adat dilingkup masyarakat memiliki kedudukan yang cukup baik. Hal itu didapat dari hasil wawancara dengan narasumber yang beralamat didaerah tigo luhah semurup. Dari beberapa pendapat narasumber didapatkan Parno adat perkawinan ini sangat penting dan diperlukan didalam masyarakat. Terutama untuk laki-laki dan perempuan yang akan menikah tentu harus mengetahui hal atau nasehat yang sangat penting untuk kehidupan kedepannya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengertian Parno itu merupakan sebuah penyampaian kata-kata adat yang dilakukan oleh ketua adat daerah Tigo Luhah Semurup. Kemudian keberadaan Parno adat sangat memiliki pengaruh didalam kehidupan masyarakat dikarenakan Parno adat ini dapat juga dikatakan sebagai aturan dalam hidup masyarakat. Hal itu diperkuat oleh hasil penelitian terhadap persepsi masyarakat tentang Parno adat. Berdasarkan pengalaman melaksanakan penelitian dilapangan mengenai analisis nilai pendidikan karakter dan wawancara dengan narasumber peneliti menyarankan yang sekiranya berguna bagi peneliti selanjutnya yaitu pengembangan penelitian dengan diperdalam metode penelitiannya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna denotasi dan makna konotasi pada lima belas puisi dalam antologi puisi Suara Dari Balik Kabut karya Wiyatmi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. data berupa kata, kalimat, bait, dan baris puisi. sumber data adalah buku antologi puisi Suara Dari Balik Kabut karya Wiyatmi. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa analisis dokumen, berupa gambar, tulisan atau hasil karya seseorang. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini terdapat tiga tahapan yaitu: reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penyair banyak menggunakan makna konotasi dibandingkan makna denotasi. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari data yang ditemukan yaitu sebnyak 26 data makna denotasi dan 32 data makna konotasi.

Abstract

Pelestarian objek kebudayaan telah diatur dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 5 tahun 2017, Tentang Pemajuan Kebudayaan dan Undang-Undang Nomor 11 Tahun 2010 Tentang Cagar Budaya. Kendati demikian tetap menghadapi beragam tantangan di era revolusi idustri 4.0. Pada sisi lain, cagar budaya memiliki peran dan nilai penting membentuk identitas budaya dan mampu meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat. Salah satunya melalui pengembangan konsep baru, seperti pembentukan museum desa dengan konsep tanpa terbuka, atau kehidupan masyarakat desa itu sendiri sebagai objek koleksi daya tariknya. Pembentukan museum desa di kawasan cagar budaya nasional Muarajambi akan menjadi yang pertama untuk wilayah Jambi dan menjadi prototype. Harapannya apabila konsep museum desa di kawasan cagar budaya ini bisa berjalan dengan baik, maka akan diterapkan di kawasan cagar budaya lain, sehingga pelestarian cagar budaya dijalankan bersama masyarakat yang juga memberikan manfaat ekonomi kepada masyarakat. Sebagai upaya membentuk museum desa, maka pendampingan masyarakat sebagai bagian dari proses. Hal ini berangkat dari masyarakat yang menyimpan benda diduga cagar budaya di rumah perolehan secara tidak sengaja saat melakukan aktifitas perkebunan. Maka museum desa dapat dijadikan sebagai ruang penyimpanan serta media wisata edukasi cagar budaya di kawasan candi Muarajambi yang mampu mendatangkan manfaat secara ekonomi. Abstract

Background: Science learning holds paramount significance in the advancement of science and technology. Two pivotal theories, falsification theory and the constructivism paradigm, profoundly influence the landscape of science education. Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of falsification theory and the constructivism paradigm on the development of science learning. Falsification theory, pioneered by Karl Popper, underscores the necessity of rigorous testing and validation of scientific hypotheses, forming the bedrock for the evolution of scientific knowledge. Conversely, the constructivism paradigm accentuates the active role individuals play in constructing knowledge, emphasizing a student-centered approach that involves collaborative learning, and problem-solving. Design and methods: In this study, we delve into the implications of falsification theory and the constructivism paradigm in shaping science education. Falsification theory advocates for empirical proof and stringent testing of scientific hypotheses, while the constructivism paradigm promotes active student involvement in building their comprehension of scientific concepts. The study investigates how the integration of these two approaches can foster robust science learning environments, encouraging critical thinking, exploration, and profound understanding. Results: The synthesis of falsification theory and the constructivism paradigm in science learning holds promise for cultivating a rich educational experience. By finding a delicate balance between rigorous empirical testing and providing opportunities for active student engagement, educators can create a profound and meaningful learning journey for students. This integrated approach not only instills an appreciation for the scientific method but also nurtures a deep understanding of science concepts, ultimately shaping students into critical thinkers with a genuine enthusiasm for scientific exploration.

Abstract

In this article, the researchers delve into the paramount role that critical thinking plays in the realm of reading comprehension, particularly for eighth-grader students who learned English in one of junior high schools in Jambi city. It is well-established that English language proficiency, especially in the domain of reading, is pivotal for students to access high-quality education and seize research opportunities. As we navigate the multifaceted landscape of education, it becomes evident that nurturing critical thinking skills among students is crucial for their academic and intellectual growth. The research undertaken herein embarks on a journey to explore the intricate connection between contextual reading materials and the development of student's critical thinking abilities. This endeavor involved a rigorous and systematic approach, employing a quasi-experimental research design that featured an experimental group and a control group. The outcomes of this investigation are of significant import, as they point to a compelling revelation: the utilization of contextual reading materials has a profound and positive impact on enhancing students' reading comprehension and fostering their critical thinking skills. These findings underscore the transformative potential of innovative pedagogical strategies that incorporate real-world context into the learning process, ultimately enriching the educational experience for students.

Abstract

Saat ini, budaya literasi dalam karya sastra perlu digalakkan kembali (Nur, 2020). Beberapa program pemerintah di antaranya adalah program pelatihan literasi yang dikembangkan dan dilaksanakan di sekolah. Literasi tidak hanya tentang kemampuan membaca, tetapi juga dalam bentuk keterampilan berbahasa lainnya yaitu menulis. Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Currently, the culture of literacy in literary works needs to be reinvigorated (Nur, 2020). Some government programs include literacy training programs developed and implemented in schools. Literacy is not only about the ability to read, but also in the form of other language skills, namely writing. The Ministry of Education and Culture Research and Technology has launched literacy programs in schools to improve students' reading skills, especially at the secondary school level. Writing skills are important to develop. In addition to the idea of writing, information conveyed through writing can also reach distant places. Furthermore, writing is now very easy to publish even through various media. Students, especially junior high school students, can write well and develop their ideas if guided properly. The Jambi University Indonesian Literature Study Program Community Service Team organized a story writing training aimed at junior high school students who are teenage age groups. It is hoped that the activities organized for students of SMP N 1 Muaro Jambi can provide motivation and help them develop writing literacy.

Abstract

The criminal case in the novel "Mahabharata" leaves evidence of language, such as the utterance of sentences in the novel.  This research aims to find ways and forms of crime through a forensic linguistic approach. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Using the novel " Mahabharata" by Nyoman S. Pendit as the primary data source, while the secondary data source uses published forensic linguistic articles. Data collection techniques in this study used reading and note-taking techniques. The language equivalent method is used to analyze the data. The threat utterances analyzed are based on Fraser's (1998) threat language indicators. In terms of form, this research uses the theories of Austin (1962) and Searle (1969). In terms of meaning, Löbner's (2013) theory is used, and in terms of motives, Maslow's (2017) theory is used. The results of the overall analysis of 10 data show that in terms of form, language is a threat in the novel Mahabharata Nyoman S. Pendit's work has locutionary, illocutionary, and perlocutionary forms. Abstrak Kasus kriminalitas dalam novel "Mahabharata" meninggalkan bukti-bukti bahasa, seperti pengucapan kalimat-kalimat dalam novel tersebut.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan cara dan bentuk kejahatan melalui pendekatan linguistik forensik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Menggunakan novel "Mahabharata" karya Nyoman S. Pendit sebagai sumber data primer, sedangkan sumber data sekunder menggunakan artikel-artikel linguistik forensik yang telah dipublikasikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Metode padan bahasa digunakan untuk menganalisis data. Tuturan ancaman yang dianalisis berdasarkan indikator bahasa ancaman dari Fraser (1998). Dari segi bentuk, penelitian ini menggunakan teori Austin (1962) dan Searle (1969). Dari segi makna, digunakan teori Löbner (2013), dan dari segi motif digunakan teori Maslow (2017). Hasil analisis keseluruhan dari 10 data menunjukkan bahwa dari segi bentuk, bahasa ancaman dalam novel Mahabharata karya Nyoman S. Pendit memiliki bentuk lokusi, ilokusi, dan perlokusi.

Abstract

Character education is currently very much needed in character building, especially at the school level, especially through the profile of Pancasila students. The goal to be achieved in this research is to describe character education through the profile of Pancasila students. This research is a literature review type. The independent variable in this study is Character Education and the dependent variable is the Pancasila student profile. The population in this study used all research journals on the topic of character education and Pancasila student profiles. The results state that strengthening character education is carried out through the Pancasila project profile. Where the Pancasila project profile can provide character strengthening, especially at the school level with the target of students.

Abstract

This research aims to compare the forms of resistance in the novel "Lelaki di Tengah Hujan" by Wenri Wanhar with the novel "Lelaki yang Membunuh Kenangan" by Faisal Tehrani. Both novels focus on the post-independence setting, specifically the second resistance carried out by students in Indonesia and Malaysia. Comparative literary research with a qualitative descriptive approach is used to present the necessary data. Data collected after reading and recording, along with the tested validity of the descriptions, will be analyzed by comparing the forms found in both novels. The dominance of the comparison between the two novels tends towards similarity, where the majority of 14 forms of similarity are found, namely student equality, acceptance attitude, and the application of left-wing theories, group study and activist transitions, student conferences and associations, movement efficiency, issue adoption, campus occupation, pro-people actions, institutional and governmental demonstrations, student attitudes towards press limitations, press function emphasis, counter-student press avoidance tactics, and the use of art and literature. Meanwhile, three forms of differences are identified based on student leadership movements, the direction of resistance goals, and the functional role of student press. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan bentuk perlawanan dalam novel Lelaki di Tengah Hujan karya Wenri Wanhar dengan novel Lelaki yang Membunuh Kenangan karya Faisal Tehrani. Kedua novel ini menitik fokuskan latar pasca kemerdekaan, yaitu perlawanan kedua yang dilakukan mahasiswa di negara Indonesia dan Malaysia. Penelitian sastra banding dengan pendekatan berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk memaparkan data yang diperlukan. Data yang dikumpulkan setelah melalui hasil pembacaan dan pendataan, deskripsi yang telah diuji validitasnya tersebut akan dianalisis dengan membandingkan bentuk-bentuk yang ditemukan dalam kedua novel tersebut. Dominasi perbandingan terhadap kedua novel tersebut cendrung ke arah kemiripan, yang mana ditemukan sebanyakan 14 (empat belas) bentuk kesamaan, yaitu ekualitas mahasiswa, sikap penerimaan dan aplikasi teori kiri, transisi kelompok studi dan aktivis, konferensi dan asosisasi mahasiswa, efisiensi pergerakan, pengangkatan isu, pendudukan kampus, aksi pro rakyat, demonstrasi instansi dan pemerintahan, sikap mahasiswa terhadap keterbatasan pers, penekanan fungsi pers, siasat penghindari pers kontra mahasiswa, penggunaan seni dan sastra. Sedangkan perbedaan ditemukan sebanyak 3 (tiga) bentuk yaitu berdasarkan pergerakan kepemimpinan mahasiswa, arah tujuan perlawanan, serta fungsional pers mahasiswa.

Abstract

Synonyms are lexical variants that refer to the same meaning in expressing something in word form. In other cases, synonyms are lexical aspects that support cohesion in discourse which functions as a link between one lingual unit and another. This research explains the analysis of synonym meaning relation in Kerinci language through semantic study. The purpose of this research is to reveal the form of synonym meaning relation in its distribution in Kerinci area. The method used is qualitative, data obtained from oral and written sources, data collection is done by interview, and data analysis is done by semantic lexical technique. The results showed that 94 data concepts (lemma) produced 6-word classes, and 300 synonym data. The six-word classes are noun, verb, adjective, adverb, numeral, and pronoun. From the 300-synonym data, 82 data were found to belong to the TC category, 50 nTC, 138 TnC, and 30 nTnC. Geographically, it was found that the distribution of synonym data in KU was 190 data, 16 KT, 28 KM, and 66 KH. In general, Kerinci language synonyms are categorized as lexical relations because although they can be understood by Kerinci people in speech, they are also basically a form of lexical distribution that refers to vocabulary variants with similar meanings. This happens because of several factors, such as time factor, place/region factor, social factor, nuance factor of meaning. The results of the research are used as a reference and comparison. This research was conducted to reveal the diversity of lexical forms that refer to the same meaning. In other words, identifying the meaning contained in these lexical variants from the point of view of synonyms in semantic studies.
