Abstract

Salah satu elemen yang memerlukan perhatian dalam mendukung semangat belajar adalah fasilitas pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi keterkaitan antara fasilitas pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar pada mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang di Pesisir Selatan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah pendekatan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Sampel penelitian mencakup 105 mahasiswa dari Universitas Negeri Padang yang terbagi dalam tiga jurusan: S-1 Sistem Informatika, D-III Teknik Mesin, dan D-III Teknik Otomotif. Sampel ini melibatkan tiga tahun angkatan, yaitu 2020, 2021, dan 2022. Data diperoleh melalui kuesioner dan observasi. Analisis data melibatkan pemberian skor berdasarkan tanggapan pada kuesioner serta evaluasi setiap jawaban terhadap pernyataan dalam kuesioner. Data dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 26.0. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa adanya hubungan positif antara fasilitas pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar, dengan persentase 85,43% responden menyatakan adanya korelasi ini berdasarkan hasil dari kuesioner.

Abstract

Kasus patah tulang sering terjadi, baik itu karena kecelakaan kerja, kecelakaan pengendara, terjatuh atau penyakit. Maraknya kejadian patah tulang ini memicu pentingnya sebuah implan tulang yang lebih baik untuk perawatan. Sebagian besar patah tulang ini terlalu rumit untuk diatasi dengan perawatan medis eksternal, oleh karena itu patah tulang tersebut harus diperbaiki melalui pembedahan dengan implan yaitu implan terserap tubuh, salah satu bahan implan terserap tubuh yang direkomendasikan adalah magnesium. Maka dari itu karena magnesium murni tidak memiliki kekuatan mekanis yang baik, Sehingga magnesium dipadukan dengan seng dan mangan dengan persentase yang sesuai mempunyai kelebihan dalam sifat-sifat mekanis maupun biologis untuk menutupi kekurangan tersebut. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian lanjutan, dimana peneliti sebelumnya telah membuat paduan Mg-2Zn-1Mn dengan proses pengecoran logam (metal casting). Sampel berupa as-cast ini perlu dilakukan proses perlakuan panas lanjutan yaitu proses anil (annealing) untuk menghilangkan tegangan sisa dan memperbaiki struktur partikelnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh temperatur proses annealing terhadap karakteristik paduan khususnya pada mikrostruktur dan nilai kekerasannya. Proses annealing dilakukan pada T=320°, dan 340°C selama 120 menit dan dilakuan pendinginan dalam tungku. Hasil annealing dilakukan dengan melihat mikrostruktur dan kekerasan, dari hasil mikrostruktur terlihat bahwa ukuran butir terkecil rata-rata sebesar 1.081?m, kekerasan tertinggi rata-rata sebesar 50,2 HV pada temperatur annealing 340°C.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menyelidiki korelasi antara prestasi akademis dalam penggunaan teknik permesinan bubut dan tingkat motivasi belajar yang dimiliki oleh para siswa. Metode penelitian ini melibatkan penerapan kuesioner, pencatatan nilai, dan dokumentasi. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional dalam konteks penelitian kuantitatif, penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Dhuafa Padang, dengan subjek penelitian yang terdiri dari para siswa kelas XI di Jurusan Teknik sedang mengeksplore beragam konsep dan praktik teknis Permesinan. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Februari dengan melibatkan partisipasi 21 siswa sebagai sampel penelitian. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan adanya korelasi yang kuat dan berarti antara tingkat motivasi belajar dan pencapaian akademis dalam Mata Pelajaran Bubut untuk siswa kelas XI Program Keahlian Teknik Permesinan di SMK Dhuafa Padang. Koefisien korelasi yang tercatat Motivasi belajar berkorelasi positif signifikan dengan prestasi belajar dalam Mata Pelajaran (r = 0,460, p < 0,05) sebesar 0,036. Studi ini memberikan sumbangan penting dalam memperluas pemahaman tentang peran krusial motivasi belajar dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademis siswa, khususnya dalam konteks pembelajaran teknik permesinan. Dengan menyadari keterkaitan yang penting antara motivasi belajar dan prestasi akademis, lembaga pendidikan dan para pendidik dapat menerapkan strategi yang lebih efisien Untuk meningkatkan semangat belajar para murid tujuan mencapai prestasi belajar yang lebih optimal dalam pelajaran teknik permesinan

Abstract

Hasil belajar siswa dijadikan sebagai tolak ukur keberhasilan belajar. Tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran pada kelas XI yang sedang belajar Teknik Merancang dengan CAM. Hal ini merupakan hasil dari implementasi model pembelajaran yang sama secara terus-menerus oleh pendidik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran beracuan proyek untuk peningkatan ketuntasan belajar di kelas. Tiga puluh siswa kelas XI TPM 2 menjadi partisipan penelitian pada penelitian yang memakai jenis Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitain ini selesai pada bulan April 2024 dalam 2 siklus. Hasil ujian pilihan ganda memaparkan bahwa hasil belajar di kelas mengalami peningkatan setiap siklusnya. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dari penerapan siklus 1, siswa belajar rata-rata pada siklus 2 nilai belajar 86,1 dimana mengalami kenaikan pada siklus 1 yang sebelumnya 79. Di siklus 1 proporsi ketuntasan kelas sebesar 53%; pada siklus 2 mengalami kenaikan sebesar 87%. Alat ukur penelitian ini meliputi lembar penilaian proyek, soal pilihan ganda, dan lembar observasi. KKM 80 merupakan tolak ukur keberhasilan penelitian yang ditentukan, yang mensyaratkan ketuntasan klasikal minimal 80%. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah hasil belajar siswa di kelas yang lebih baik dicapai pada pelajaran Teknik Merancang dengan CAM menggunakan model pembelajaran berbasis proyek.

Abstract

The learning media used previously for the Manufacturing Drawing Technique subject in class XI of Machining Engineering has not been optimal in achieving learning objectives. Therefore, this research aims to develop e-modules as learning media at SMKS Dhuafa Padang. The research used an R&D development model in education based on the IDI model, which was carried out in the odd semester of FY 2023/2024. The IDI model includes three stages: determination, development, and assessment. Data were collected through a validation sheet in the form of a questionnaire and analyzed with quantitative descriptive statistics. The results showed that this e-module was feasible to use as an independent learning media with a final validity value of 0.83 from material experts and 0.90 from media experts, which met the valid criteria. The e-module practicality test showed very practical results, with an average percentage value of 93.6% from the teacher's assessment. The use of this e-module is expected to provide several significant advantages for the learning process. First, this e-module allows more flexible access to learning for students, allowing them to learn anytime and anywhere at their convenience. Secondly, interactive and engaging e-modules are expected to increase students' motivation and interest in learning. Thus, this e-module not only helps students understand the subject matter better but also supports the development of self-learning skills essential for long-term academic success.

Abstract

Effective learning strategies are needed to improve student learning activities. One approach that can be used by teachers is the use of innovative learning media such as Gimkit. The purpose of this research is to create a Gimkit-based learning media for Metal Inert Gas topic that is valid, practical, and effective. R&D (Research and Development) is the chosen method, and the IDI development model consists of three stages: defining, developing, and evaluating. The results of validation conducted by expert lecturers and subject teachers show that this learning media has a very high validity value in terms of material/content, media, and language. Teachers received a score of 92.5% in the practicality test, placing it in the very practical category. In addition, better learning outcomes after using Gimkit were demonstrated, with an average pretest score of 77 and an average posttest score of 82 respectively. In conclusion, the developed Gimkit-based learning media is valid, practical, and effective, making it suitable to be used as a tool that supports learning.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of parents' economic status on students' learning motivation at SMKN 1 Guguk. Education is the cornerstone of national development, and in Indonesia, educational success is determined not only by the quality of teaching but also by external factors such as parental economic status. The research reveals that family economic level plays a crucial role in students' access to educational facilities, which affects their learning motivation. Students from well-off families tend to have more learning tools and adequate support, whereas those from low-income families often lack essential facilities, impacting their motivation and academic performance. This study employs a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, involving 79 students as the sample. A questionnaire was used as the research instrument to measure the variables of parents' economic status and students' learning motivation. The analysis results show a significant correlation between economic conditions and students' learning motivation. These findings provide insights for educators, parents, and policymakers in designing effective strategies to enhance students' learning motivation, notably for those from economically disadvantaged families. The results are expected to improve the quality of education at SMKN 1 Guguk and serve as a basis for more inclusive and equitable educational policies in Indonesia.

Theì data analysis teìchniqueì useìs SPSS softwareì with correìlation analysis that looks for variableì reìlationships. As a reìsult of theì data deìscription, a positiveì and significant reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì impleìmeìntation of K3 and theì leìarning outcomeìs of Prakeìrin studeìnts in gradeì XI of Machining Eìngineìeìring SMK Neìgeìri 1 Padang was 0.490. at a significanceì leìveìl of 0.05 That this can proveì a positiveì influeìnceì beìtweìeìn theì two variableìs. Meìanwhileì, theì deìteìrminant valueì (R2) is 0.185. This meìans that theì reìlationship beìtweìeìn theì application of K3 and theì leìarning outcomeìs of latheì practiceì has a weìak cateìgory. From this, it can beì concludeìd that many factors affeìct theì impleìmeìntation of studeìnt K3, of which oneì of theìseì many things is studeìnt leìarning outcomeìs.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of a video-assisted Problem-Based Instruction (PBI) model on students’ cognitive learning outcomes, while controlling for learning motivation as a covariate. It was motivated by the low academic performance of Grade XI of lathe machining engineering. A quasi-experimental design with a post-test-only control-group format was employed. The sample comprised 62 students, divided into an experimental group (n = 32), which received the video-assisted PBI treatment, and a control group (n = 30), which was taught via conventional methods. Data were collected through an objective achievement test and a learning-motivation questionnaire, and were analyzed using Analysis of Covariance (ANCOVA). The results indicated a significant difference in mean post-test scores between the two groups, with the experimental group achieving a higher mean score (M = 85.2) than the control group (M = 74.4). ANCOVA confirmed that the video-assisted PBI model had a statistically significant effect on learning outcomes (F(1, 59) = 26.268, p < 0.001), with a large effect size (partial ?² = 0.308). Learning motivation also emerged as a significant covariate (F(1, 59) = 6.437, p = 0.014; partial ?² = 0.098), indicating a moderate influence. These findings suggest that the video-assisted PBI model is effective in enhancing cognitive achievement, and that students’ motivation plays an important supporting role. Abstract

Mechanical engineering education plays a very important role in providing students with the knowledge and skills to become competent professionals in the industrialised world. This learning process involves the integration of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, and the demonstration method naturally helps to combine both aspects. The demonstration method has proved to be a promising approach to improving students' understanding and practical skills in the subject of milling machining techniques.  This study aims to improve the understanding and practical skills of Mechanical Engineering Class XI students at SMK Negeri 5 Padang through the application of the demonstration method. Using a quasi-experimental research design, the results showed that the use of the demonstration method significantly improved students' understanding and skills. The evaluation by a team of validators also showed that the method was valid in terms of materials, methods and instruments. There was a difference and an increase in scores between the control class and the experimental class. In the written comprehension test, the control class scored an average of 65, while the experimental class scored an average of 80.62. In the practical skills test using the evaluation sheet, the control class achieved an average of 48.87, while the experimental class achieved an average of 74.78. This indicates a positive influence and change in the students' understanding and practical skills after implementing the demonstration method.
